"Where am I?" That's the question raised in Mono's mind. "How did I get here?" As he walks down a hallway carved with a lot of strange images, unlike the one he had seen in the TVs leading to his meeting with Thin Man, his future self. In this unfamiliar hall, he witnesses multiple drawings of a palace, a castle. And between them dwells a mountain with the cursing Eye on top.
"What are these drawings?" Touching slightly to the castle, Mono suddenly feels the minor chill from behind.
"Are you interested in it?" A strange whispering suddenly appears, making him so surprised that he runs a short distance before looking back at the stranger. The person makes him feel somewhat intimidated and relaxed at the same time. Wearing a similar outfit as he previously wore in the Pale City.
As the person turns to him, Mono sees the right eyes glow a yellow triangle around the pupil, whereas the other seems...odd. As if it was replaced by something he doesn't know. More intimidating, a crack last from his forehead, through that left eye, and to the edge of his mouth, makes his face somewhat disturbing.
"What's wrong?" The person suddenly says, making Mono stop lost.
.
"Who are you?...And where am I?" Mono asks with a friendly tone, hoping that the person will not act aggressively towards him.
"Don't worry! I won't hurt you. At least, I want to talk with you without conflict." The person says -"And for the question, let's move to a place to discuss."
Said, a door appears out of nowhere, with a symbol...
"The Eye?!"
Mono freaks out on the inside as he sees the Eye symbol on the door. It's too similar to the one in the TVs. The signature sign of the very thing that traps him and Six in the loops and makes him suffer thousands of deaths.
"THAT THING!" Vengeance starts filling him as he prepares his fists in static and is ready to punch the person with everything he has.
"Stop whatever you're doing NOW." SUDDENLY, a powerful and overwhelming aura bursts from the person, making Mono tremble before it.
"Wh...What is it?!" Mono can't stop shaking as he looks fearful at the person. Even having experienced the fearsome Thin Man and the cursed and disgusting Eye, He just can't stand the person's presence. As the person turns his face, his right eye glows much more on the darkened face, making Mono filled with more horror.
"It's rude to try killing someone you first meet, Mono." The person says.
"WHAT ARE YOU?" Shouting at the person in desperation for keeping distance, Mono tries to crawl away but barely moves.
"I'm just an astray soul." The person says calmly as the overwhelming presence just keeps getting stronger.
Mono feels like his lungs are pressed down. And unable to breathe.
"WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME? ARE YOU THE EYE?"
.
"Oh!"
Suddenly, all the devastating aura from the person all disappears like it never happened.
"What?!" Still, Mono shakes slightly.
"There seems to be a misunderstanding here." The person calmly says as he holds his hand over the odd eye while the right one illuminates lesser -"I. Am. Not. The Eye."
Mono looks at him with a confusion of the 180* change of the person's expression. He just...stares at him.
.
Noticing Mono's staring and shaking, the person sighs slightly.
"Now that you know I'm not the Eye, do you want to talk here? Or in there?"
Mono still has some doubt that the person isn't related to the Eye. Calming down, Mono stands up and asks.
"Then what's that eye symbol on the door? Judging by your statement, you KNOW the Eye. How can I believe someone I first meet?" He then points at the person and asks aggressively. "Who. Are. You?"
The person shows a slight shock to Mono's attitude, seemingly never expecting this from the boy. However, a small smile starts to grow.
"Hahahahahaha..." And he just laughs with joy as his right eye flickers in the dark.
"WHAT'S FUNNY?!" Mono shouts irritatedly and tries to grab the person's neck forcefully. Not only does he feels triggered because of the joking attitude of the person but also the hatred he keeps for the Eye for all it did to him hundred of years trapping. And seeing someone related to it frustrates him.
And so he rushes to choke the person.
*THUD!*
"What?" Without him noticing, the person appears from behind and stomps his back, knocking him down to the ground. "It looks like you don't want to talk with me." The person says as he looks at Mono's eyes, static-like his right one but more determined -"So, I will meet you again after you have cooled your head." After saying that, the person raises his right open hand at Mono. And CLENCHES it.
Suddenly, Mono feels a change of gravity as he tries to hold on to the edges of the door. "What is this?" Mono wants this just to be a little nightmare as this pose only reminds him of that...
Looking down, the only thing he sees is the vast darkness. No nothing.
"And you may be right." Mono turns up to see the person still standing sideways in his perspective over the wall. And he looks down at Mono with a slight smile. "I may relate to 'it,' but I'm NOT 'it.' But I will say again: I'm NOT the Eye."
.
Hear, Mono's hand then trips away from the edge.
"What?!" The moment Mono starts feeling the fall, The person's figure in the light is overlapped by the yellow-hooded one on a broken cliff.
And that's when he knows the betrayed feeling inside still haunts him. Maybe the repentance and the hatred of the loops have slowly torn little by little his sanity ever since he remembers all at once.
However, even knowing that this is just the past, Mono's tears can't stop dripping. The painful feeling of being betrayed by the best and trusted friend pierces his heart like needles, just as if it has happened again.

"AH!" Mono gets up drastically, which makes him slightly dizzy at times. And sees himself still on the infirmary bed. "It's just a little nightmare?" Looking around, Mono sees Six sleeping peacefully on the opposite bed, which makes him smile lightly as their union isn't fake. Yet, that moment of betrayal still lingered in his mind.
He forgets her action? Yes. But the betrayal? That will stay in his head for a while.
.
Getting off the bed, Mono approaches and sits next to Six while trying not to wake her up. He then takes a closer look at Six and holds hand with her as the old-time. Except for this time, his limbs feel pale and lifeless. Not much as human-like as before.
Then, the concept of becoming the Thin Man comes to his mind, which reminds him of all the previous loops. "Why do I have to remember all of them?" Mono holds his head with the remaining hand as his static eyes slightly flicker. "And why and how did we get to this world? I thought the loops was perfect."
"What?" Mono realizes what he has just said as his eyes return to the calm static color. "What did I just say?" Mono feels somewhat confused.
"..."
.
"I need somewhere to relieve." Mono then takes his hand off Six's and goes to the door without looking how Six is. And intends to go outside.
Mono glares at the empty desk as he walks past it. "Maybe she has somewhere to sleep?" Taking a peck out of the door, Mono observes nothing but the dark hallway. The fear of the unknown does get his heart slightly hastened, but going through the Pale City with more disturbing faces and monsters is far scarier. For him, the most uncomfortable thing here is the cold air of the night, which makes him slightly shiver under the thin clothes he wears.
*Whoop!*
A figure suddenly dashes through Mono's eyes and into the dark.
"What was that?" Mono immediately becomes cautious as he knows: Something lurking in the darkness is not a good sign.
.
Taking a step outside, Mono looks at the side where the figure goes at. Yet, there's...nothing. "Where and what is it?" Mono then takes a step further out when SUDDENLY...
"Looking for me?" A chilling whispering appears behind Mono. And before he gets to react to it, Mono is suddenly pressed down to the floor forcefully.
"Who are you?" Mono turns to see the one who presses him down.
"Hood?" That's the last thing he sees before being pressed down again. And that also immediately reminds him of Six's raincoat. "But..." He isn't sure if the hall is too dark, but the edge of the hood seems...Glitchy?.
