Chapter 6: Go Kart Race

The following day, the teams were ready for the next challenge. But instead of meeting somewhere on campus, they went to a little racetrack.

"All right everyone, for your next challenge you'll be competing in a go kart race." Chris announced.

The students chattered excitedly, that sounded fun.

"However this challenge will be a little different than the other challenges. Instead of you all competing only one of you will. One member will drive the go kart, and the others will act as your pit crew."

Chef Hatchet then showed them the karts they'd be driving. There was a blue one, pink one, black one, and a yellow one.

"Well pick your karts." Chef told them.

"Dibs on the pink one!" Dakota piped up.

"I say we take the blue one, dudes." declared Geoff.

"The blue one's all ours." Sky announced.

"Guess that means we're stuck with the black one." said Sugar.

"Now you get one minute to decide who'll be the driver." Chris informed.

The groups then made their decisions. Mike would be driving for Epsilon Nu Kappa, Samey would drive for Phi Sigma Eta, Phi Nu Sigma chose Gwen to be the driver, and Amy would drive for Alpha Pi Gamma.

They drivers got into the karts, and went to the starting line.

"Now you'll do six laps, first the cross the finish line in the last lap wins, the last one to cross loses and their team is out. And on your marks...get set...GO!"

The drivers hit the gas pedals, and drove off. They started their first lap, and Mike took the lead.

"And Epsilon Nu Kappa takes first place." announced Chef Hatchet.

"Come on, Mike!" cheered Cameron.

Zoey quietly cheered for her boyfriend. She wanted to cheer louder, but she didn't want her sorority sisters to think she wanted the enemy to win. As Samey drove, she felt something bump her. She turned her head, and saw Amy.

"Hey!" she shouted.

"Get out of the way, Samey!" Amy shouted.

And she bumped her again.

"And it looked like Amy is trying to run Samey off the road." Chris announced.

"Oh no." said Lindsay.

"What's she doing?" asked Heather.

"She's supposed to pass her, not run her off the road." Scarlett groaned.

In an effort to get away, Samey quickly put the pedal to the medal. And she managed to get a good distance away from her sister.

Then it was time for the second lap. This time it was Gwen who was in the lead.

"Come on, Gwen!" cheered Jasmine.

"You can do it!" added Leshawna.

Gwen pressed the gas pedal, and went faster.

"Come on, Samey you can do it." encouraged Beth.

Samey did try to go faster, but it was hard to do since Amy kept bumping her.

"Stop it, Amy!"

"Make me!"

And Amy bumped her sister's kart again. That had been enough for her. She quickly slammed her foot on the gas, and sped off. She managed to pass Gwen, as the third lap began.

"We're in the lead!" cheered Dawn.

"That's what I'm talking about." added Anne Maria.

Samey couldn't believe what she had just done. She was actually in the lead. Amy growled, there was no way her sister was going to beat her. So she quickly followed after her. On the third lap, Samey took the lead, and was completely enjoying it.

But once again, Amy bumped her.

"Come on Amy, pass her not bump her!" called Courtney.

"Why don't you listen to your team?" Samey called to her sister.

"Why don't you just stop and let me pass you?" Amy told her back.

But Samey didn't want to do that, so she just sped off. Anger welled up inside her, and Amy slammed on the gas pedal. And she sped past her sister.

"Finally." Sugar said exasperated.

"And now Alpha Pi Gamma is now in the lead." Chris informed.

The girls cheered.

"Ha, I'm winning this thing." Amy cheered.

On the fourth lap, Amy still had the lead, and she tried to keep it that way. But then Gwen came up from behind her. Amy tried to cut her off, and Gwen got ahead of her.

"And there goes Gwen." Chef informed.

"I hope I can win this thing." Gwen hoped.

They continued to drive, the other drivers came up from behind her. They all wanted to get in the lead, and tried to go at the same speed. On the 5th lap, all of them were tied. It could be anyone's race.

As Samey drove, she felt someone bump up against her. She looked and saw Amy. "MOVE OUT THE WAY!" Amy shouted. Samey felt her blood boil. She was tired of her sister making her feel like she was nothing.

So she floored it, and sped off.

"Whoa." replied Beth.

"Go Samey!" cheered Lindsay.

Samey swerved between the other karts, going fast all the way. Soon it was time to the final lap. All of them were going fast, and the go kart race was won by...Samey!

"And Phi Sigma Eta wins!" shouted Chris.

The sisters cheered. Phi Nu Sigma came second, Epsilon Nu Kappa were third, and Alpha Pi Gamma was last.

"Alpha Pi Gamma sisters, you're out." Chef told the girls.

Obviously they weren't happy about it.

"Nice going Amy." barked Jo.

"What?"

"If you weren't so busy ramming your sister, we could've won." Scarlett told her.

The sisters began arguing a lot.
