Chapter 22: Unfinished Business

Dingo had arrived to the first floor. As he came out of the elevator and made his way to the front entrance, Townly burst in and quickly locked the doors. He took many heavy breaths and he was clearly exhausted. "What are you locking the doors for?" asked Dingo. "It's only a matter of time till they make their arrival," said Townly, "Lachlan was overtaken by everyone out there. I just barely made it out. It's best we go out the side and take a vehicle from the parking lot." Dingo took a look out the glass door, he saw a huge mob approaching. "I think we should go now!" suggested Dingo.

He and Townly ran down the halls and to the door leading to the parking lot. When they got there though, Taz and his family were waiting and immediately charged for the door. Dingo quickly closed the door before they could get there. "We're screwed!" he exclaimed. "Not entirely," Townly replied, "I got my personal vehicle in the back of the place." "You never told me you had a personal vehicle," said Dingo. "Well, that's because I keep quiet about that stuff," said Townly. The two then ran for it as Taz burst through the door. By now, the mob had broke through the front entrance. Dingo and Townly ran as fast as they could, with Taz and the gang following them from behind. They went down many hallways and took many turns along the way. However, they reached a dead end shortly after. "Dammit!" said Dingo, but then he saw a vent cover above them. "Wait a minute, I know what to do."

By now, Taz and the mob had split up to search since they had lost sight of Dingo and Townly. Wendal, Bob, his mom, and Mr. Thickly went to the same dead end that Dingo and Townly were just at. However, everything seemed normal as there was nothing out of the ordinary. Above though, the two were making their way through the vents. They walked through for a short time until a vent cover that was under them broke when Townly walked over it. He was about to fall until Dingo grabbed his hand. Bellow them was a giant pot full of acid within a large room. A product that was temporarily in testing. "Wow, I forgot we still were on hold with that stuff," he said. Dingo looked ahead and saw the vent leading to outside. Suddenly, he grabbed the keys from Townly's pocket. It surprised the agent, but he didn't think it was a bad idea either. "Good thinking! That way so it doesn't fall out where I currently am!" he said. Unfortunately though, it was for all the wrong reasons. "You know Agent Townly, you sure have done well for me in the past," Dingo grinned, "However, I think it's clear to me that you began to slip." Townly was really confused by what Dingo was saying and asked, "What is that supposed to mean?" "You remember how you told me that sometimes there are just some things we have to let go of in life?" "Uhh, yeah?" replied a confused Townly. "Well, I think I'm going to let go of you," Dingo said bluntly, before he punched Townly in the face, partially breaking his glasses. Townly screamed as he fell about 40 feet to his death. When he landed in the acid, nothing was left of him. The moment he went in, was the moment he completely disintegrated.

Taz and his family were still checking out the place when suddenly, they found the door leading to the back. They went out and saw Dingo get into the car and start up the engine. Before they could stop or block him, he drove off as fast as he could. Taz then ran back into the building. "Where you goin Taz?" asked Hugh. Axl who was in the parking lot saw Taz running back to the car and said, "Oh gee, I don't know if I wanna feel cramped in there again." Taz got into the back seat. His family showed up and could see that he wanted to go after Dingo. "What are you doing Taz? We can't risk going after him," said Jean, "I'm sure he'll be stopped at some point." However, Taz didn't see him being stopped, especially with the lack of law enforcement present. "Taz and Dingo got unfinished business," Taz replied. "Oh no Taz, that is not going to happen!" said Jean. "Ugh fine!" said Taz, then went silent for 3 seconds before murmering, "Taz do it himself." He then jumped into the driver's seat and drove off to go after Dingo. Jean's jaw was dropped. "Looks like he really wants to finish that business," said Hugh. "I know that he and the kids have went against Acme before but this is Dingo we're talking about, the one who wanted to end Taz," Jean worried. "Don't you worry, I'll keep an eye on your boy and make sure he doesn't get hurt," said Drew, "Plus, I got unfinished business with that Dingo myself and it's me he should hurt." "Can I come along too?" asked Axl, "I wanna give that Dingo a piece of my mind. Plus, you could use back up." Drew agreed and they quickly got in a car and drove off. "What do we do now?" asked Jake. "I don't know but something tells me we should have went along," replied Molly.

Bull was driving down a mostly empty highway. The starry night made it a peaceful night drive. Though Bull was still determined to find Jean and Axl, even after all these hours. He was about to give up until he saw Dingo in the rear view mirror driving by him. "What the heck is Dingo doing driving that fast?" Bull wondered, "He is on a mostly open road and runs the island now, so I guess he going to celebrate his victory somewhere?" Bull looked to see off the highway all the construction vehicles still where they were before. He also noticed all the spies and special units either laying on the ground from being beaten up or deciding to call it quits and leave. Bull was interrupted when he heard a familiar voice in one of the spy cars go flying by him. Bull processed everything in his head. "Now I see why he is driving so fast," he said, then he got an idea, "Wait, if Taz is by himself and I got the clubs and net...Oh, I will be doing Dingo a huge favor!"

Taz was getting closer and closer to Dingo. He was determined to not let Dingo get away. Dingo looked in the rear view to see Taz coming in from behind. He shrieked at the sight of it, "I AM NOT GOING BEHIND BARS!!!" Dingo floored it but Taz was slowly catching up to him and soon hitting his back bumper. Taz was admittedly not the best driver, nor did he have enough driving experience. However, it didn't hold him back. Taz then found his back bumper being hit by Bull and his vehicle. "This is for Dingo!" he called, as he made many unsuccessful attempts to sideswipe one of the back sides of the car Taz was in. Dingo could see everything from behind. "You better get him off of me Bull," he murmured. Eventually, he spun Taz out and before Taz could continue to chase Dingo, Bull got in the way to block him from moving forward. Taz reversed, repositioned himself, and continued before Bull could have a chance to block him again. "You are really testing my patience now!" Bull yelled.

As Taz was approaching Dingo fast, he saw a sign that said: TAZMANIA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT 4 MILES NEXT LEFT. Dingo then took a hard left with Taz nearly crashing due to the tight turn as he followed him. Bull caught up with Taz again and tried to cut down on one of his tires. Just then, he felt a big bump from behind which made him nearly crash. He gasped at the sight of who it was, which was both Drew and Axl. Bull clashed with them in the hopes he'd keep them from going further too, but it was no good. Dingo was very distracted by what was going on in the background. So distracted in fact, that he was barely paying attention to what was in front of him. When Dingo looked at the road again, he hit a tall road divider, which caused his escape vehicle to flip onto it's side. Taz saw this and breaked, but hit the breaks too late and crashed into Dingo's car with his own. Bull, Axl, and Drew followed the same thing due to them clashing. The 4 cars ended up dragging to an exit, went off road down a hill, before crashing into a tree.

Taz climbed out of the car from the wreckage and immediately went to Dingo's vehicle, but didn't see him. He then looked in the distance to see if he may have ran off. He couldn't tell for sure since it all seemed to have happened too quickly. Behind him though, Bull had climbed out of his car and was standing right behind Taz. He quietly took out the biggest club he had from his suit case and was about to wack Taz over the head with it. Axl (who likely came out the side) came in from the side and punched Bull right in the face, causing Bull to drop his club. Drew (who also likely came out the side) went over to Taz as quickly as he could. "Taz! You alright kid?" he asked. Taz vocalized, in a way of saying he was fine and that he couldn't find Dingo in the car. "Don't worry, we'll find him," said Drew.

Bull sat up to see Axl holding his big club and having the case full of them. "Wait Axl! Please don't get any ideas with those!" he pleaded, followed by nervous laughter, "I'll change for the better, I promise! In fact, me and Francis were just joking around! Do you really think you'd be going to-" "AH SHUT UP!" Axl shouted as he hit Bull over the head with the club, "Every hit I take is for all times you hit me!" He then began to hit Bull with the club repeatedly, over and over and over again. "No! NO! NNNNOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!" Bull screamed.

Meanwhile, Taz and Drew were looking through the forest. There was no signs of Dingo or any footprints. The darkness of the night made it even more difficult. Taz spoke in his usual gibberish, to explain that Dingo was missing when he got out to check. "I'm sure he couldn't have gone too far Taz," replied Drew, "I mean, seeing where he was headed kinda says it all. The airport would still be kinda a ways away from here." Taz thought he could hear something from behind them but when he looked, there was nothing. The noise came back and this time caught Drew's attention. "I swear, there's something nearby us," he said to himself. Suddenly, a loud crack could be heard as a tree fell on both Tasmanian Devils, pinning them both to the ground. Dingo then walked into view as the two gasped.

"Got you guys right where I need you," said Dingo, as he aimed his tranquilizer gun at Taz. "No, wait Dingo!" said Drew, "Leave the kid alone! It's me that you want!" "It's both of you I want!" Dingo growled, "You both caused all of this to happen! With you not paying up and your nephew delaying everything! We helped you when you were having financial problems and you took that to your advantage of it all!" "Actually, no! You came to me offering the help!" Drew objected, "I thought it was weird for you guys to come to me instead of me coming to you, but I took the offer as I was in desperate times. Now it's become clear to me that it was all just a big trick for you to get my money! It was a scheme that you thought I'd fall for! But I was somehow smart enough to cut ties immediately after the former chairman told me the amount I owed. By luck, I had moved out of my old home around the same time!" "And boy did it take forever to find your location but damn did it pay off!" said Dingo, "And do you know what? Your right Drew. It was a big ol scam that Acme had been doing for years. But don't worry, we've done it to plenty and in the end, WE WON! Many tried to win in court over our scams, but we have some of the best lawyers to cover up our tracks! And even though I may have lost, I have a flight waiting to take me to Guatemala! I will indefinitely be safe from the consequences and the chairman who forsees all Acme's will make sure of it too! Even if I am found out!" Dingo then put his finger on the trigger of his gun. "But first, I got 2 Tasmanian Devils to take care of..." Taz and Drew closed their eyes, waiting for the inevitable.

Just then, something grabbed Dingo by his neck and lifted him up. "Hey! What's the big idea bub?!" he yelled. What lifted Dingo up by his neck was a familiar Pterodactyl that Taz had encountered quite some time ago. He carried Dingo with his own beak. Taz and Drew opened their eyes. Immediately, Taz cheered. "You know this thing?" asked Drew. Taz nodded in response, followed by many vocalizations explaining his encounter with it. The Pterodactyl smiled at Taz. Axl had arrived and quickly freed Taz and his uncle. "Gee, what the heck is going on?" he asked. "This Pterodactyl that Taz knows has Dingo," Drew said, "Weren't you just taking care of Bull just a few minutes ago? You should probably keep an eye on that fella." "Don't worry, he ain't getting up any time soon," assured Axl. Just then, the Pterodactyl flew away with Dingo still being held. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! LET GO OF ME!!!" Dingo screamed. The 3 of them watched until the Pterodactyl was no longer in their view. "I wonder where he's taking him," said Drew. "Do you think we should be at all concerned?" asked Axl. "Taz says we shouldn't worry," replied Taz, "Dingo is no longer worth our time."

The Pterodactyl was taking Dingo for the ride that he never asked for. Going through various areas of Tazmania. "DOES IT LOOK LIKE I WANNA HAVE FUN???" Dingo bellowed, "EAT POISON YOU UNEVOLVED FREAK!!!" Dingo aimed his gun at the beak of the Pterodactyl, but due to the high winds, he lost it almost immediately. "Not like this'll help, but I might as well," Dingo sighed, as he took out his phone and dialed the Acme pilots. However, when he was almost completed with dialing, the phone flew out of his hands due to the high winds. He watched it fall hundreds of feet. "AWW COME ON!!!" Dingo screamed. The Pterodactyl then took him high above the clouds and just stayed there almost hovering, but obviously still flapping. "Let go of me you idiot!" Dingo demanded. He got a look at the Pterodactyl. The Pterodactyl gave him a sly grin like he knew what Dingo was saying. "You understand English, huh?" said Dingo, "In that case, let go of me right now! You hear me? Let go of me right-" Dingo got his request, but not in the way he expected. He screamed as he fell through the clouds and believed he was gonna fall to his death, but he didn't. Instead, he landed in a nest that was within a tall tree.

Dingo got up, surprised of his fate. He then looked to see where he was. He saw the same Pterodactyl that had been carrying him earlier, fly around with other Pterodactyls. In fact, there were many Pterodactyls in groups chatting or flying around with each other. A sign in the area said: Pterodactyl Town. "Never heard of this neighborhood in all the years I've lived in Tazmania!" said Dingo. He then looked to the left the see the ocean and Tazmania on the other side. "Wow, I really went far away," he said as he then looked down to see how high up he was, "And wow, am I high up."

Cracking noises could be heard as Dingo's ears went back and as he looked behind himself slowly. It was 3 eggs slowly breaking. This made Dingo extremely nervous and scared for what was about to come next. 3 baby Pterodactyls came out of their eggs. One blue, one green, and one pink. Suddenly, he didn't feel so scared anymore. "Hey guys," he said, "Ain't you 3 just the cutest little things." Dingo walked closer to them, realizing that they were almost bigger than him. "You things are surprising calm," he said, until one of them roared in his face. Their expressions changed, looking at Dingo now like he was a meal. Dingo's ears went back as he murmured, "Oh my..." He then ran for it and was about to jump out of the nest and off the tree. However, one of the baby Pterodactyls grabbed him by his tail with their beaks and dragged him back in. It wasn't shown what was exactly going on, besides Dingo occasionally flailing his arms around. But losts of biting and crunching could be heared, followed by Dingo screaming like a madman.

After all the stuff he put Taz through for many years and after all the horrible deeds he did to Taz, his family, and his friends in just a little over a week, Dingo had met a gruesome and brutal end...
