A bright flash of light envelopes paradise before it disappears, taking some people with it and leaving two streaming titan bodies in its wake.
The kidnapped people appear outside in a different dimension. Most people land on their feet with the exception of Eren and Porco who fall to the ground disoriented. Confused, they look around, most of them on their guards, surveying the area.
"Hello everyone," a voice says, cutting off all the shouting and panicking.
"I've brought you here to watch the future. Now how you'll be doing that I'll explain if you decide you want to stay.
In my opinion, I have to give you a choice, it would be wrong of me not to ask as the contents of what you're about to watch are quite graphic. After all, it's your lives deaths always follow, so I'll give you a choice.
What I'll be showing you is the future, who lives, who dies, who tells your story. (I'm sorry I had to)
How this war ends, who "wins" etcetera. You'll watch the future with two prices hanging over your heads or you can go back and remember this as a dream-like experience but as you fight the what-if question will always linger with you. I'll give you ten minutes to discuss and decide." A voice says and then goes silent.
After the confusion, everyone breaks apart into groups to discuss.
"Eren, what do you think we should do?" Zeke asks his brother helping him up as the Yeagerist surrounds them, valuing his opinion above everyone else's.
"Why would we need this information? No one has the power or means to stop us, we've taken over the military of paradise, most of the residents on this island support the Yeagerist and all we have to do now is meet up and use the founder the way we planned, what exactly do we need to waste time here for?"
"But anything could happen in a day, isn't it better we stay and get reassurance that nothing can stop us now?" Yelena contradicts Eren's state.
"I agree with Yelena, we shouldn't take any precautions, let's be patient and watch we have nothing to lose anyway." Floch agrees with Yelena's statement.
About to lose his temper Eren calms down, 'I can't change their minds and it'll be suspicious if I keep insisting, this may ruin my plan but since the time our kidnapper gave us is almost up, I'll think on this another time.'
"I'm sure it won't work anyway some deaths are inevitable" he decides on saying keeping the rest of his thoughts to himself.
'I especially should know' He mumbles under his breath.
"I should be dead," Levi starts the conversation off
Everyone looks at him like he suddenly gained height.
So he tries to continue "Well the last thing I remember is an explosion, I was-i was-, what the heck why can't I say what I'm thinking?"
"Maybe the reason you can't say anything is that it is part of the price the person who brought us here talked about. I-I think this will get annoying very quickly" she sighs.
"We've only got five minutes left so we should decide on whether we want to stay or not." Hange decides on saying.
"I think we should stay so far the person who brought us here has shown no sign of harming us, granted we've been here for 5 minutes, I see no reason to not accept this gracious offer." Historia reply.
"I agree apparently all we have to do is watch the future, upcoming deaths can be prevented." Armin says looking as tired as everyone else.
"But the person who brought us here mentioned two prices, if the first one is restricting what we say then what's the second?" Mikasa contradicts the two.
"The second price couldn't be something simple like we can't leave till we've watched everything they want us to watch. It's probably direr than that" Connie replies and Jean nods along not trusting the kidnapper.
"So far the pros outweigh the cons if we think about it logically. Isn't it better to stay?" Armin asks then, a hint of pleading underlying his tone.
"But what if the second price is something deadly?" Mikasa asks again, wanting to get back to their time.
"But if it is deadly we wouldn't be able to view the future like our kidnapper is supposedly going to make us do, so it would defeat the whole purpose," Historia argues.
"This isn't going to work, let's have individual votes." Levi cuts off the argument just as it's about to start.
(This takes place right after I finish talking)
"Falco!" Gabi runs towards him. "Are you okay now? Is your head still hurting?" She looks at the bandage around his head and inspects him for other injuries.
Falco, embarrassed, tries to push her away but is too weak to do so. "I'm okay Gabi, actually I feel fine." He says surprised.
"Falco" Colt exclaims, hugging him.
"Gabi!" Reiner follows on, happy to see them safe. Magath looks at the kids happy they're back while Porco is still semi disoriented
"Okay, we need to decide on whether or not we would like to stay. Our kidnapper gave us 10 minutes and 5 are already gone, we should stay from what I've noticed. They have no killing intent and we could gain a lot from this." Magath cuts off all small conversations.
"But commander our kidnapper mentioned 2 prices, we don't even know what they are so they could be dangerous, even deadly. Is it wise to stay?" Pieck replies.
"We should follow the commander, it seems like a good idea and if we have any more traitors like Zeke in our military we might be able to sniff them out." Gabi agrees with the commander.
"We should just go back. We were literally about to start a war, there is no guarantee that what we will witness here will be correct. For all we know we could just waste our time" Porco says getting up from the floor.
"Let's take a vote then majority rules then" Colt says trying to settle the brewing arguments.
"Okay guys times up you don't need to publicly vote as I've already heard your decisions. By majority vote, you will be staying. To the people who didn't want to stay, I'm sorry but you're going to have to deal with it.
"If you go through the doors of the building behind you and walk straight ahead, the third door on your left will be where the future will be shown. No fighting as you walk please."
The crew all turn around to find a mansion behind them. Suspicious, they walk towards the front door. As they get closer it opens making them gasp before they head inside looking for the third door on the left.
As they walk in silence the voice talks again "You're probably wondering why the house is so big. That's because you'll spend quite a long time here watching your future isn't just a one day thing so after your done watching what you need to for today I'll give you a general map to explore this place, before you continue reacting tomorrow, if your worried people will notice your gone don't, time has been stopped in your dimension you'll return to the exact moment you came from."
They find the door with a sign on it saying reaction room and Levi steps forward opening it to reveal a theatre type room but smaller with different types of chairs around the room. Entering the room they all find a seat and the barriers go up but they don't notice that.
"Okay So i'll explain how we will do this, I'm sure most of you have doubts about the future we will be watching so to start off you'll be watching snippets that I deem important or will prove to you than what you're watching is real footage of the past. The big flat black thing in front of you is a TV, so you can call it that, how it works well I'll leave some books for you to read about if you want to in the library." The voice takes a pause stopping questions that were about to erupt before continuing.
"Most of what you watch will be recent with some exceptions to a few years back. Anytime any of you speak the tv will automatically be paused till all is quiet again. When it's lunch time I'll give you a break to go eat before we continue. Any questions? "
"Aren't you going to tell what those prices you mentioned are?" Yelena asks.
"Well one group of people already knows what one of the prices are but no you'll have to figure it out as you watch."
"Do you have a rough time frame of how long we'll be staying here?" Armin asks.
"Well really it depends on you guys and how you react to this information, how many breaks you're going to need, etc. So no, there is no fixed time frame. Any more questions? "
"Why are you doing this?, what do you gain from showing us the future?" Eren asks not happy his plan was about to go up in flames.
"Well first off the future in my opinion is trash pointless death well not pointless but could have been prevented deaths, the end of the war wasn't something Iwould wish on any of you even with how it ended. Again the amount of people in this room alone who died or almost did just doesn'tsit right and I've got the power to make a change soI am this will benefit you guys and I'mjust doing this so you'll will be happy. Any other questions? "
Everyone stunned from my answer has no other questions.
"Okay i'll give you thirty minutes to get settled and do whatever you need to do, bathrooms are to the right if you need it."
Okay so this chapter is more of a explain stuff not many reactions in it chapter but I'm okay with how it turned out if you have any constructive criticism you wanna dish out go for it, but please make sure its constructive criticism also please comment more it motivates me to write :).
Okay so that out of the way aot in 3 hours more like 2 actually and I'm hyped anyone else, that mostly the reason this chapter came out this early cause when I tell you I had writers block I really did.
