Shadamy

Summary: It has been 2 months since Amy had died. Shadow couldn't get over it. He was having another nightmare and woke up in a cold sweat. To suddenly see Amy's ghost at the end of his bed.

Shadow bolts up with a loud gasp. A droplet of sweat falls off of his forehead and onto the sheets. His head frantically twisting to look at his surroundings. Viewing he was in his bedroom. Not in that awful field. The field that makes his muscles tense and breaks his wall that defends his emotions. Shadow's breathing soon calms down, along with his nerves. Relieved to be in his bedroom. He had that nightmare again. That awful nightmare. That terrible memory. They'd happen regularly; nightmares would more and more pain for Shadow. He just couldn't get her out of his head.

The pink hedgehogs limp body sprawled across the grass. Her eyes wide open with shock. Those blank eyes were looking back to him. Shadow stared down at her body, tears pooling in the corner of his eyes. Threatening to break into a flood down his face. A giant hole was in Amy's stomach, blood pouring out. She had been shot... and Shadow was too late to save her. He could've done something. If only he was quicker. If only he didn't stay with Sonic. If only-

Shadow shakes his head and closes his eyes, raising a hand to rest against his forehead. He wants to stop these nightmares. He can't bear to see his rose like that ever again nor put the blame on himself. Shadow can't feel guilty for her death; the guilt lands on the bastard that shot her. Rouge always encouraged for Shadow to not hold himself responsible for his girlfriends death. It wasn't his fault. Shadow believed it to be his fault for weeks. Even with Rouge -and sometimes Omega- telling him that it wasn't. They tried their best to help Shadow go through his grief. Even though it was emotionally draining for them, they still stayed by Shadow's side. Which he really appreciates them for. He just wishes to see her again. To hold her. To hear her voice again. He'd do anything to see Amy again.

"Shadow?"

The hedgehog's eyes open wide, swiftly staring up to the source of that sweet voice. A long blow of breathe leaves his gaping mouth. At the edge of his bed... there she stood. Amy Rose. Her figure was transparent, an pink aura glowing on and around the outline of her body. There wasn't much color to her (apart from her pink fur), it seems to be fading. Yet her eyes were still the same bright emerald eyes as she were when she was alive. Shadow's mouth was becoming dry due to how long it has been open; was he mind playing tricks on him? Was she truly there? He slowly began to crawl upward, letting the covers drift off his body. Her smiles becomes wider as he gets closer, as if she's happy to see him in a daze of amazement. Without thinking, Shadow reaches out to her. "Amy- you're, you're here!" Amy gently leans over to be closer, unknowingly now hovering off of the floor. Allowing Shadow's reach to touch her cheek.

He couldn't feel the tenderness of her skin. He missed that feeling. Her once warm and soft skin was now ice cold. It has been months since he last touched the mildness of her body. Along with her scent that was slowly fading away; from her clothes to the pillow which Shadow frequently holds as he sleeps. "I am, my dear... I wish to feel your warm embrace again." Her voice gently echos around them. As if they were in a small and empty cave. Especially with the low temperature in his room. Shadow smiles, now raising his other hand to her opposite cheek. Now cradling her translucent face in his palms. "I've missed you." Shadow breathes out; he was still in utter shock. Yet happy to actually see his rose -somewhat- alive. Not splattered on the ground, with a gaping hole in her chest. Her eyes full of life, instead of giving him a dead stare.

Amy's face slowly leans forward, her mouth slightly open. Shadow takes quick notice, that she was preparing for a kiss. In one quick response, he clashes his lips with hers. Although his kiss was rushed, it was filled with passion. Along with desperation, to have this wonderful feeling be pulled back into his mind. Amy gently grasps Shadow's wrist, removing them from her face. Trailing his palms down to her hips. He swore he could feel the texture of her scarlet dress. Shadow moves inches away from her to break the kiss. Opening his eyes to stare into those beautiful eyes of hers again.

Only to see darkness.

Shadow fully opens his eyes, his hands now hovering in the air, where Amy's hips where previously. Swiftly, his head darts each part of his room; she was gone. Nowhere in sight. He has lost her once more. Shadow's hands drops to his lap, now facing the dark wall in front of him. Why must he lose the people he loves most in life? Was this some sick punishment from God? Allowing him to have Amy for a moment, only to then pull her away. Leaving him alone a second time. The black hedgehog shakes his head in disappointment, before shuffling back under his covers. These dreams and nightmares will make him go insane. He goes to lay on the right side of his head onto his pillow. Grabbing the pillow which is slowly losing Amy's scent, gripping it closely to his chest. Silent tears drift down to the pillow he's resting on. One day, he will see her again. That thought repeats in his head, he will see her again, before he succumbs to his well-needed sleep.
