Chapter 15 – Clean up Woman

No one's POV

Once Tori and Jade had returned to their lunch table, they both looked to see where Beck ended up. Neither could see him and they both figured he was sitting at a table on the other side of the asphalt café.

"Hey Jade?" Asked Andre. "How did Beck take it? I saw Tori snuck around so she could eavesdrop."

After taking a sip of her soda, Jade shrugged. "He's still breathing, if that's what you mean."

Tori quickly interjected "His ego took a huge hit, but he'll recover. He's hurting, but in the long term, I think everyone is a much better place."

Rex Powers who had been rather silent, suddenly broke into the conversation, sounding rather amused. "Just as long as Jade's place is parked between your…."

Rex however never had a chance to finish his sentence, as Tori of all people, reached out ripped off his head and threw it across the asphalt café.

A shriek of terror followed from that direction the head went. A second later a voice of an unidentified girl quickly could be heard booming across the asphalt cafe. "ROBBIE! GET YOUR DOLLS HEAD, OUT OF MY SOUP!"

"Oh No….REX" Robbie cried as he ran to fetch Rex's head.

Jade meanwhile, smirked and kissed Tori on the check. "Thank you, Tori. Not only did you defend your girlfriend's honor. You shut rex up and ruined some random person's lunch all that the same time. Consider me impressed. So impressed, I may have to do something about it."

"And what may that be?"

Jade quickly whispered something in Tori's ear, causing her to giggle.

'Hey" Cat protested. "No fair. I didn't get to hear."

"Imagine that Cat." Jade retorted, her voice heaping with sarcasm. "Me not telling you something, because I don't want half the school to know by 6th period. Besides, it's what I'm going do to Tori and not what I'm going do to you. So, it doesn't concern you. Just eat your lunch and let mommy and daddy talk."

"Ok" Chirped Cat, seemingly satisfied.

Tori then whispered in Jade's ear, causing the Goth's to briefly blush.

By then Robbie had returned to the table, holding Rex's head. That same head appeared to be covered with noodles and was dripping wet with Broth. For a second Robbie, looked like he was going to say something, but Andre nudged him.

"Don't"

The last part of lunch, then went uneventfully, with Andre steering the conversation towards more mundane school related subjects. Once the bell rang, indicating they had 10 minutes to get to classes, they all got up and disposed of their trash. On their way out of the asphalt café, Jade Turned to Tori.

"Vega, don't you have Beck in your next class?"

"Yes."

"Need me to walk you?"

"No Baby" Tori said looking somewhat giddy, knowing that she could now call Jade Baby. "Yours is on the other side of school and you'll be late. Besides, I have a little speech prepared already."

Jade raised an eyebrow. "You think of everything don't you. I never stood a chance, didn't I?"

"None what so ever!" Responded Tori with a triumphant grin.

Standing there, as a dreamy smile came to her face, Jade reached out and for a moment held Tori's hand. A moment later, Jade mouthed, "Love you!"

Feeling like her heart skipped a beat, Tori mouthed the same back. A second later, both their hearts soring, the pair separated.

Heading to her class, Tori reviewed her planned speech in her head. She also made some last-minute changes to reflect the tense nature of the confrontation that had just occurred. Perfect planning makes for a perfect ending, thought Tori.

Then a vision of Jade in beautiful white wedding dress walking down the aisle towards her briefly came to mind.

"Perfect ending." Tori said with a smile.

She took another step and then for a second, envisioned her and Jade on a heart shaped bed with Jade still wearing that beautiful white wedding dress, parked between her legs, happily eating her out.

Her eyes bugging out with the mind blowing thought, Tori mused happily. "Even more prefect ending! OMG is that ever fucking perfect! I'm going to have to remember that one! Definitely."

Reluctantly dragging her mind out of the gutter, Tori refocused on the speech and headed to class.

Tori's POV

Arriving in class, I could see Beck sitting off to the side and Tori quickly moved into get the desk next to his.

For a moment, Beck looked at me with a mixture of suspicion, hurt and sadness, but said nothing.

I gave Beck a sympathetic look in return. "We have a second before class starts. There's something I'd like to say. May I?"

"Sure" He answered with a rather guarded tone of voice.

"Beck, for starters I am sorry I lied to you this morning. Jade wanted to tell you and I wanted to respect her wishes. I did what I did, not to hurt you. That was never my intention. I still consider you a friend and I do hope you still consider me one. I did it because I fell in love with Jade. She is a unique and beautiful person and I couldn't help it. I also did it, because I was sure that Jade not only liked me, but she was a lesbian. Things that she wasn't consciously aware of, things she had locked down deep inside of her. Something wanting to be set free."

I paused for a second to let it sink and to check and see if the teacher had arrived. He hadn't.

"I wanted to bring those things out in her. So, she could fully realize who she truly was and hopefully love me as much as I love her. I was right and Jade admitted to me as much. I know she was a bit rough on you at lunch and I do hope you are ok. But she's a very passionate person, part of why I loved her and that passion doesn't always come out very nicely."

Pausing again, I looked to see Beck's reaction, which was a slight nod.

"I do suspect, that had I not done anything she would have gotten back with you. She was feeling lost, due to unrealized feelings and you would have provided a safe refuge. But had you stayed with her, that due to those unresolved feelings and sexual identity, she would have become increasingly unhappy and frustrated. You not being able to help her would have driven your frustration and alienation from her. And in the end, both of you would have ended up very unhappy. Had you stayed together, you'd end up like my aunt and uncle, unhappily married and endlessly making each other miserable. It's not a life to live. I am certain you will be happy; I mean very happy with someone. But that someone won't be and could never be with Jade. I know that sounds patronizing and I'm sorry if it does. But as cliched as it may sound, I think we're all better off. I do hope you can come to understand that."

Out of the corner of my eye, could see the teacher walk in.

"Teacher's here. I've said my peace. I greatly appreciate you taking the time to listen to me. I thank you."

Having finished, I studied him for his reaction, which was rather muted. All he did was to take it in and nod again and what I hoped was silent agreement.

The rest of the class, went quite normally. Beck and I both focused on the lecture and for a brief time, all the problems between us with Jade, fell away. As the class ended, I gave him a hopeful smile, one of friendship. Done, I turned away and left him to his thoughts.

In my next class, was yet another part of my plan. In that one, I sat next to Becky Ellington. She was less of a friend but more of a friendly acquaintance. She was pretty and rather nice, but at the same time an even bigger gossip than Cat. In fact, she's the biggest gossip in the school.

As I suspected, as soon as I sat down next to her she looked at me and leaned over. "Did I hear right, you and Jade?"

After the events at lunch, I was absolutely certain that not only will she have heard, but would want to know more.

"That's right. We connected and each of us realized things that brought us very close together. I'm her girlfriend now. Couldn't be happier."

Before she had time to really do anything about that bit of info, I then said.

"I've heard you like Beck. I've also heard that a lot of girls have been rather reluctant to approach him for fear of incurring Jade's wrath. Even after they broke up. That is no longer a problem."

I could see Becky's eyes widen slightly, as what I had just told her had sunk in. In fact, it was true that a lot of girls were afraid of talking to Beck, just for that reason. To ease things along with me, Beck and Jade, I needed to make sure that every girl in the school, knew for absolute certain that he ripe for picking and Jade was no longer an threat. Telling Becky, was the surest way to do that. In fact, I'm sure by the end of the day, every girl with in a 10-mile radius will know that.

"Really? I mean how is he, how is he taking it?"

"He's holding on." I said, purposely adding bit of concern to my voice. "I know he was hoping to get Jade back. He's hurting a bit, but those things happen."

Not only did let the Becky know that Beck was fair game, I let her know that he's sad. With the girls of Hollywood Arts knowing those two particular facts, I am sure they will keep him very busy, trying to nurse his broken heart back to health. It will also keep him out of Me and Jade's hair.

"Oh!"

I let her stew in her juices as it were and opened my book as the lecture was about to begin. As class continued, I could see Becky, surreptitiously and furiously texting on her phone. No doubt spreading the good news that someone, Me, had taken Jade out of the picture and Beck was very available.

As I got out of class, I took a slight detour and came up to Jade at her locker.

"What do you want!" Snapped Jade, acting like her old Tori hating self.

My eyes raised for a moment as I appeared to think. Then I said in a low voice, loud enough for only Jade to hear.

"Hmmm…what do I want? You sitting on my face would be nice."

Jade froze with the exception of her mouth, which slowly fell open. Like an old pinball machine, TILT

"Did I say would be?" I said with a playful smile. "I meant, will be. As in, not could happen. As in, WILL happen."

Jade's jaw briefly tightened. "You're seriously killing me Vega."

"La Petite Mort!"

"Point Taken." Jade then pointed to a plain brown plastic bag, in her locker. "See that Vega!"

"Yeah"

"After my appointment I went shopping today. Wanna guess where?"

Before I could answer, Jade smirked. "Barbara's adult toy store. That really big one by the freeway, with lots and lots of SEX TOYS to choose from."

Now it was my turn for my mind to run wild and quickly I reached into her locker for the bag. "Let me see"

Jade quickly slapped my hand, which I immediately pulled. Back. "Ooww That hurt."

"Good. NO PEEKING VEGA!" Jade said, as she slammed her locker shut and locked it.

I immediately pouted. "NO fair."

"Tough!"

I then took a seductive pose. "How about we skip the last two hours and you show me right now."

Jade grinned evilly, then ever so sensually went to kiss me, but instead slowly licked from my collar bone up to my ear, then stuck her tongue in it, sending tingle through my whole body that almost brought me to my knees. "You'd really like that wouldn't you. But No. I am going to go to my last two classes and so are you. Only you're going to have to somehow make it through those classes, all hot and bothered, not knowing what I have in that bag or what I have in store for you after school. Be at my locker right after school, don't keep me waiting and especially, don't make me have to go and find you!"

My face quickly fell, as I knew Jade did this to torture me. "I hate you!"

Jade then kissed me on the check and whispered. "I hate you too."

Jade then turned on her heel and walked away. After several feet she stopped and turned around. "Did I ever mention you look ever so cute when you're sexually frustrated."

I promptly flipped her off.

Jade gave a rather mocking laugh in response. "Promises, promises Vega. Later."

As turned the corner I could her sing to herself. "Skyrockets in flight, Afternoon delight!"

"Grrrrr…."

The title "Clean up Woman" comes the 1971 song of the same name, by Betty Wright.

The phrase "La Petite Mort" is generally, a euphemism for Orgasm

The line "Skyrocket in flight, afternoon delight" is from the Song Afternoon delight by the Starland Vocal Band.

For those who have never played pinball, if you are playing a game of pinball and you jostle the machine too much, the word TILT lights up and the game ends.
