Author's Note

Today there'll be a short mention of an OC of a dear friend of mine~
Her and Luciana met during the events in New York (which I never wrote cause lazy) and they became besties ever since, keeping in contact via magically-in-space working smartphones.
Her name will show up a couple more times in future chapters and she might even make a cameo at one point ;)

With a grunt Loki fell to the ground. Again.
On the other hand, Thor and Luciana, both on their feet, inspected the surrounding landscape with curious eyes. It's beautiful. The brunette thought to herself as she took in a breath of clear air. She could smell the scent of salt water, meaning they had to be close to the ocean. Carefully, she took a few steps on the grass, coming to a halt in front of her friend.
"Let's try this again. Need a little help?" Once more she bent down to him, offering her hand. Only this time he begrudgingly took it. As she helped Loki back on his feet, she noticed his gaze went past her towards something in the distance. Or rather someone.

A few meters away from them, at the edge of what seemed to be a cliff, stood the Allfather's figure. As if in a trance the second prince started walking towards him, quickly letting go of Luciana's hand. The young woman watched for a few seconds before she followed the two brothers, although she came to a halt after two thirds of the way. It wasn't her place to be a part of this reunion. She wasn't part of their family. And so she waited in a bit of a distance, even though the wind still carried their conversation to her ears.

Of course she already knew what would be said. She had heard it more than a dozen times already. Still she never managed to shake that feeling of surprise when hearing Odin finally truly acknowledging Loki as his son. She could only imagine how taken aback he himself had to be at hearing those words. But she knew that he needed to hear them, especially after all that had happened. After all, it was one of the things he had always longed for. She was still far from ever liking the Allfather, but this was the time he finally had done something good in her eyes and she smiled watching the three of them stand together. However, her smile soon froze when something different occured, something that hadn't happened in any of the previous cycles. Right before it was time for Odin to join his wife in the afterlife of the gods, he turned around to face her. Luciana's eyes grew wide in surprise. What was happening?

"Luciana dear, do you still remember what I told you before sending you to Midgard with my son?"

"It has to be you."

Confused about where he was going with this, she only nodded.
"Good. Make sure to remember them. They still stand true."
"I… I won't forget."
Apparently satisfied with her answer, the Allfather gave her a nod before turning back to his sons.

Luciana's heart was racing, the burning feeling of panic slowly creeping up inside her mind. Making sure that the brothers were entirely focused on their conversation, with Odin telling them about their exiled sister, she quickly scrambled for the small device in the pocket of her jacket. She let out a sigh of relief when she saw that there had been no change whatsoever in the flow of the timeline. This change didn't seem to be grave enough to cause any divergence. Carefully, she slipped the Tempad back and turned her attention towards the front again, just in time to see the dissolving figure of the Allfather as a million of small glowing particles made their way up towards the cloudy sky.

On the verge of getting overwhelmed by the sudden loss of his father, electricity gathered in the hands of the God of Thunder as dark storm clouds started to gather in the sky. Bothering on being furious, he turned towards his brother.
"Brother…" Loki began, attempting to calm the other man in hope of preventing him from unleashing his anger on him.
"This was your doing." Thor growled.

It was at that moment Luciana heard an ominous sizzling sound behind her. She spun around her feet, only to be faced with a steadily growing blackish green rupture.
"Guys, I don't mean to interrupt, but I don't think now is the time to bicker." she called out to them, drawing both their attention towards the opening portal. They looked at each other before stepping next to her and all three of them discarded their disguises. Like that they waited, now donning their Asgardian attires, their weapons readied.

Stepping out of the greenish glow came a woman, clad in a tight black leather suit. Her hair was long and sleek, its color as black as the night.
"So, he's gone." she spoke, matter of factly. "It's a shame, I would've liked to have seen that."
"You must be Hela. I'm Thor, son of Odin."
"Really? You don't look like him."
"Perhaps we can come to an arrangement." Loki chimed into their conversation at which the woman replied in a mocking tone. "You sound like him." She barely even glanced at Luciana, seemingly ignoring her presence altogether. "Kneel."
"I beg your pardon?"
The brunette chuckled before addressing the brothers. "My, she sounds like somebody else I know. Are we sure that it's not Thor who was actually adopted?"
Both of them turned their heads to look at her with an expression that seemed to say "Really now?"
"What? Come on, I can't be the only one who thought that! God, I can't wait to tell Liz about this. She's gonna have a blast hearing this."
"Oh, tell her Thor said hi!"
"Will do."
"Kneel." Hela repeated in a less friendly voice, interrupting their conversation. While Loki had rolled his eyes on the two of them, their sister had summoned her own weapon. And it seemed like she was ready to use it. "Before your queen."
"I don't think so."

Not intending on playing along with this charade any longer, the God of Thunder threw Mjolnir at their opponent. But to the group's surprise Hela caught the hammer with one hand, almost effortlessly.
"It's not possible." he stammered.
"Darling, you have no idea what's possible."
The three of them could only watch in horror as their sister crushed the weapon with her bare hand. A shockwave rolled over them as it broke and when Luciana reopened her eyes she witnessed the last few pieces, of what had once been one of the strongest weapons in the nine realms, falling to the ground. With that, the difference in their powers was clear. They didn't stand a chance against this woman, who was now wearing a black helmet reminiscent of the antlers of a deer. A second dagger-like sword appeared in her still free hand and Luciana gritted her teeth, tightening the grip on the handle of her rapier.

Next to her, Loki had also realized their chances of winning this battle were practically zero and he turned towards the sky, screaming from the top of his lungs. "Bring us back!"
A second later the rainbow light of the Bifrost engulfed their bodies, even though Thor was clearly opposed to the idea. As they sped through space towards Asgard it soon became clear that Hela had no intention of letting them go.
"Loki!" Thor, who was a bit ahead of them, called his brother. The second prince and Luciana looked downwards, only to see the figure of Hela darting towards them with great speed.
"Do you still think this is a blast?" the God of Mischief yelled at her.
"I wasn't talking about me! …What are you doing!?"

Her eyes went wide, watching how Loki went for one of his daggers, sending it flying towards their pursuer. She followed the weapon with her gaze, but her expression soon changed to one of horror as the woman effortlessly caught the sharp object in her hand. Only to send it right back to its owner.
"Loki!" she screamed, reaching for him.

But it was too late.

He had gotten hit by his own weapon and the impact was sending him flying right towards the edge. Luciana could do nothing but watch as his body passed the rainbow colored light, being catapulted into the vast space. His scream halled in her ears as she saw Hela coming closer and closer. The brunette gritted her teeth before looking up towards the remaining brother.
"Lucy no!" Thor screamed.
"Sorry." she mouthed and the next moment she threw her body against the border of the light into the vast endlessness of space.

But it's these demons deep inside
They can't hold ya

Getting thrown across the universe wasn't a nice feeling. It was like falling into an endless void as countless stars and clouds in weird colors passed you by at high speed. Luciana thought that this had to be what an LSD trip felt like. Not that she had ever experienced it, but she had heard stories from Midgard. She hadn't been keen on trying any of those so-called drugs before, but after what she experienced right now there was no way in hell she ever would. After what felt like centuries her body finally drifted towards an opening in the endless space. A portal! She thought, right as she passed it. Unfortunately what was revealed behind it was a gigantic scrap heap. And currently she fell right towards it. Her face twisted in disgust at the thought of diving headfirst into a pile of trash. That's when her ears detected a distant whooshing sound. Turning her head she could see some kind of weirdly shaped aircraft darting in her direction at high speed. If she was lucky and twisted her body in the right angle, she might…

With a thumping sound her feet landed on top of the spaceship, the force sending her to a crouching position. A small smirk crept its way on her lips.
"Falling from the sky and landing on an aircraft… This seems to become a bit of a habit." Luciana chuckled to herself as she sat down on the metal roof. Like that she sailed across the sky, taking in her surroundings.
The sky was covered with portals, from which all different kinds of things constantly seemed to fall. No wonder this place looked like a dumping site. However, one of the portals was different. Located in the center of everything, it was way bigger than the rest. It glowed in an ominous reddish color all while strange lightning went through the fume surrounding its round opening. Luciana gulped. What was this place? And where was this ship going?

She turned her head towards the front and what she saw made her eyes go wide in awe. In front of them a huge tower loomed into the sky. It was entirely clustered in metal and there were several weird heads growing out of the side walls. She blinked a few times, trying to figure out what the hell she was looking at. The spaceship was heading directly towards the entrance of what seemed to be a big tunnel right between the middle of the heads.
"Whoever designed this thing must have more than a few screws loose." she mumbled as they entered a sort of tunnel system, leading to what seemed to be the harbor of the aircrafts. The whole thing jolted as it came to a halt and Luciana rolled herself over on her stomach, hoping it would keep whoever had piloted it from discovering her. She crawled forward a bit so she could see what was going on on the ground.

A burly woman had exited the ship and was soon joined by several people who were dressed in some kind of armor. She appeared to give them some kind of orders although it was hard to tell as she barely spoke a word, yet the soldiers seemed to understand their tasks immediately. It was only when the woman turned around, focusing her stony gaze directly at her, that Luciana realized what kind of orders she had given.
Hastily, she scrambled to her feet but it was already too late. Several of the soldiers had climbed on top of the aircraft and were now pointing their weapons at her. She probably could have taken them out if it had only been them, but the amount of reinforcements waiting for her on the ground in the same posture gave her reasonable doubt that this would end in her favor.

I guess I have no other choice…

Slowly she raised her hands into the air, while letting out a nervous chuckle.
"That's quite the welcoming party, I'm deeply honored. And uhm, nice to meet you?"

I ask myself that question over again
