Chapter Fifteen: New Friends
(Asteroid Field)
"We have arrived at our destination my king." Iok reported to him.
They were currently staying hidden in an asteroid field as the material that made them up interfered with Marduk's scans. Teru is a planet where Marduk sent his Jaffa and slaves to hunt for animals and mine for naquadah during the spring and summer seasons. It did not belong to him officially, but everyone knew that he had it in his grasp and if they wanted something from it, they would have to come and ask him. Those that dared to steal from him rarely lived to regret it.
That made it a perfect choice for what they were needed to do. The only question was what he wanted to do to the planet. There were so many options with all that was available to him. He could shrink the planet and keep so no one ever found it again, shift the planet so that it existed in an alternate dimension making it unable to interact with the rest of this reality, release a virus that caused people that came to visit to mutate into horrible monstrosities, or simply kill all the Jaffa and slaves that are working there.
"What is troubling you my king?" Illythia asked him as she walked over to him and sat down on his lap.
"I am uncertain on which path to take and how far to go." Danny told her.
"If may be easier if you think about your associates in this conspiracy. What are Kali and Amaterasu doing?" Illythia asked as she looked him in the eye.
"Kali and Amateraus are at Ra's court spreading word about the problems that are happening in Marduk's kingdom." Danny said. Marduk was too busy to go and challenge them as he is currently in a dispute with the Goa'ulds that had taken the identity of the Greek Pantheon.
"What are you thinking of doing?" Illythia asked.
He told her.
"Make him think that there is a rebellion happening on the planet." Illythia said.
"That is going to cause a lot of bloodshed." Danny said. It would be worse than him wiping out the villagers because Marduk would go back to his kingdom determined to make sure that no one would think of rebelling for centuries if not millennia. Many of his Marduk's subjects would die.
"Steal his Chappa'ai." Illythia said.
"What?" Danny asked not sure what he was hearing.
"From what you have taught me on Dinai Ra's empire is built on the ability the Chappa'ai give them. If you want to do something to Marudk that makes sure coming back to this planet is difficult then steal it from this place and put it somewhere else." Illythia said.
"That is not a bad idea." Danny said as he gave her blonde head a kiss. The idea was also useful if he ever decided to go against the Goa'ulds and end Ra's empire. Stealing back his people's invention would cripple them beyond belief. The kingdoms that made up Ra's empire only existed because they had the ability to travel through Chapp'ai. Without them they would be scattered across the galaxy and easy picking for anyone with sufficient technology.
"Iok." Danny said as he contacted his Jaffa on the Pel'Tak.
"Do you need something my king?" Iok asked.
"I am going to Teru. I am going to build a list of Jaffa that I want to go down with me." Danny said to Iok.
"I will inform them the moment that you have sent me the list. I also wish to volunteer for the mission." Iok said.
"I appreciate the offer but I am going to need you to do something else for me." Danny said.
"Ask and I shall do so." Iok said.
"While I am on Teru I want you to go and search if there is any other planet nearby that has sentient life." Danny said. There was nothing on the Goa'uld charts but that may just mean that they have yet to find out about it. Caprica had been a recently discovered planet until some Goa'uld had found it.
"Do you wish me to come with you?" Illythia asked.
"Do you wish to camp for days?" Danny asked. He doubted that was a hobby of someone like her.
"If you wish for me to go I will." Illythia said.
She may have said those words but he could read her feelings. She did not want to go with him.
"Thanks for the offer but you do not have to." Danny said. She was so happy that he did not even have to see her face hidden behind her hair to know that she was smiling.

(Teru)
Danny stepped out of Al'kesh and looked at the vast forest in front of them. This planet seemed as if it was the inverse of Earth. The grass and trees are blue, and the sky was a calm green. They had come by Al'kesh because it would land them on a landmass that Marduk was ignoring.
"What do you wish for us to do while camp is being set up?" Rayj'yu asked him.
"When you are finished setting up I want you and the Jaffa to form four groups of forty and then I will give you your next orders." Danny said.
"Yes my king." Ray'ju said as he went to the Al'kesh.
The plan was that they were going to go and scout the villages that Marduk's Jaffa were using during their stay. After Marduk's Jaffa were taken they were to be sent to other Goa'ulds worlds and draw as much attention to themselves as possible. Give them a reason to demand payment from Marduk or force him to admit that someone had compromised his Jaffa. It would make him even more furious when he found out that he could not come back to this planet.
While they were doing that he was going to go and explore if there was anything important hidden on the planet. Marduk had killed the native population off a long time ago so the only thing that could be here were ruins.
Before he could take a step, he heard his contact orb activate.
"Yes?" Danny asked as he activated the orb and saw Iok's image.
"My King someone is contacting us." Iok said.
"Is it Marduk? Is there a fleet about to attack us?" Danny asked. He did not think Marduk would have learned about this so fast. All of Marduk's Jaffa would have to die in this fight. He could not have them reporting back information that may lead to Nirtti and Dinai.
"I do not think so. We should still be hidden by the Asteroids." Iok said.
'Who in the world is it?' Danny thought to himself. "Send it to my contact orb."
"As you wish." Iok responded.
"Who wants to talk with me?" Danny asked as he extended his hand to a tree and turned it into a log.
"Hello King Daniel." the voice on the screen said though he could not see who it was for the face was blurred out. Seems his caller wanted to be mysterious.
"Who are you stranger?" Danny asked.
"You may call me The Foreign One. I am a merchant that has something to sell you." The Foreign One said.
'Who?' Danny wondered as the Original had no clue about this character from the show. "Alright but that still does not explain why you have come to me?"
"I know of your relationship with Nirtti and have something that would interest the two of you." The Foreign One said.
"What is it that you wish to sell me?" Danny asked.
"I wish to have a private conversation. Let us talk about this in a private room." The Foreign One said.
"I am on an abandoned planet and none of my Jaffa would dare eavesdrop." Danny said.
"I would still prefer us to only see each other." The Foreign One said.
"Very well but this better be worth it." Danny said as he created a tent around him to prevent anyone from hearing his conversation. "There now we can talk privately. What do you want?" He would trace this call once he was back on his Ha'tak.
"I just wanted to see how you were doing once I learned another version of myself was in this universe." The Foreign One said.
"Can you repeat that?" Danny asked with eyes wide unable to believe what he was hearing.
"I could but I know what you meant. Yes, I am another version of us." The Foreign One said as the screen between them cleared up revealing a face that he saw every time he looked in the mirror though the hair was shorter, dyed blue, and his skin had a rather nice tan.
"I did not expect this." Danny said his hands digging into the ground back but showing no other sign of surprise. Though it did make sense why he was going by that that name. It fit with their sense of drama and their way of bending the truth.
"We were shattered across time and space. It is no surprise that we would meet each other again. Especially if one went looking for the others." The Foreign One said.
"You can travel between universes?" Danny asked wondering what kind of technology was available to him. He stared researching the principles behind Quantum mirrors so that he could accomplish something similar, but he was still trying to figure out how to obtain all the materials that he needed to begin.
Quantum mirrors are tools created by their ancestors to expand their research. Once activated it would allow a person to access and travel through parallel universes. It was how Daniel Jackson learned of the invasion by Anubis. By the time they were born the method of creating such mirrors were lost and he did not have the access to do more than read about it. He had been looking for one ever since he had woken up in the Ghost Zone. It was to be his way to keep exploring and possible escape if the need ever arose.
Given what he was thinking about it would be a good exit plan to have.
"I was born into a universe where Vlad had been experimenting with the technology. He went his own way to a universe where there was a Maddie Fenton that would fall in love with him. I was then free to use it however I wish." The Foreign One said.
"So, is this what you wanted to sell to me?" Danny asked feeling excited.
"HAHAHAHAHA. Now that is a funny joke." The Foreign One said. "No. What I wanted to sell to you was D.N.A. samples of species that I have come across in my travels."
"What kind of species?" Danny asked.
"They will not be found anywhere in this universe. I think you and Nirtti would be very interested in them." The Foreign One said.
He was not wrong.
"I am not going to meet you alone." Danny said. They may have been one person originally but that was no longer the case. The man on the other side of the screen could be the ruler of an interdimensional empire and was scheming to use the original version of him as the opening phase of his invasion.
"That's fine. You can bring guards if you want. I planned on bringing mine. Until then we can talk here about what has happened to the other versions of us." The Foreign One said as he transmitted coordinates for them to meat.
"What has happened to the other versions of us?" Danny asked.
"Depends on what you mean. We have all walked different paths. Some became heroes, some have become villains, others have walked the path of conquest, and some live out ordinary lives with hobbies they find exciting." The Foreign One said.
Seemed that they all have been fulfilling the purpose the aliens had given them. He hoped that they were entertained as they watched them.
"What of you?" Danny asked.
"I do a little bit of it all. I help people that need it, taken over a planet or two, and sometimes I sell interesting things to people that have what I want." The Foreign One said.
"What do I have that you want?" Danny asked.
"You know how to work Stargates. Maybe even build them. I would like that information." The Foreign One said.
"What would you do with such information?" Danny asked.
"That type of technology can be very useful to the right people. Worlds that need to travel vast distances. Others that have the need to flee a dying world." The Foreign One said.
"Give me time to do proper research." Danny said.
"Very well. Send up a signal when you are ready to negotiate. I will send the information to your ship." The Foreign One said
This could be a stressful situation. He needed to talk to the other versions of himself and talk it out with them. It would also let him find out what they have been up to. Danny ended the call and brought down his tent back to the Earth. He walked away from the camp and found a nice place over a hill. If he looked, he could see a lake with fish jumping about in peace as there were no people to hunt them.
'I want to talk.' Danny thought out to his duplicates on Earth.
He was surprised to find that four responded to his call and not two. Going by the amount of energy It seemed that his Western Duplicate had created two more to help him with whatever problem that he was facing back on Earth.
"Hello." Western Duplicate Danny 1 said.
"What's up?" Western Duplicate Danny 2 said.
"Where are we?" Western Duplicate Danny 3 said looking around.
"Have you found anything interesting?" Eastern Duplicate Danny 4 said.
"I see that the lot of you are busy." Danny said.
"What's going on?" Danny 1 asked him.
"A lot apparently and I think it is time we share what we are all doing." Danny responded.
"Okay." Danny 2 replied.
"Who is going to go first then?" Danny 4 asked.
"I will." Danny 1 said.
"Okay." Danny said as he closed his eyes and focused on the duplicates memories.
