Chapter 23 – The Best laid plans….
Jade's POV
More than a quarter of a century ago, Tori Vega invited herself into my house for a little fun sleepover. She eventually, invited herself into my bed and eventually my heart. She of course didn't make my feelings appear like a magician would pull a rabbit out of a hat. She recognized something in me that I myself didn't really know was there. Or perhaps I didn't want to know it was there. I was firmly in the closet and Tori was hell bent on dragging me out of it. Annoying little minx, isn't she?
But once she had made herself at home in my heart, I couldn't bare the thought of her ever leaving it.
A few moments ago, she whispered the word "Lover" in my ear. It was that same word she whispered me on our first night together. It's a word that one or the other will use when we initiate lovemaking. It seems silly perhaps, but the word has become very important to us. I am her wife; I am her lover and she is mine.
Don't get me wrong, we've had problems, as all couple do. We have our fights and issues; we get on each other's nerves and broke up at least once. Though that was for a grand total of 5 days. We're very loving and passionate and passion is a double-edged sword.
I remember the first day we moved in together in college. It had rained all day; everyone was busy and couldn't help but Cat and we fought all day. Most of the arguments were about where to put the various items in our apartment. By the end of the day were wet, tired and emotionally spent. We had just gotten through a nasty argument over where to put the microwave and I was laying down. Our bed hadn't even been assembled. It was just a mattress on the floor.
I could hear Tori, who had been in the kitchen, come in the bedroom. At the moment I was worried if we would make it. Our first day together was pretty much a disaster. I was also still angry about 100 different things.
I was waiting for Tori to rip into me for something and the fight to start again, but wordlessly she got into bed and began to spoon me from behind. She then reached over and took my hand and squeezed it. We were still clothed and rather wet, but in an instant all the tension, fear and anger I felt, melted away. She didn't say a single word, but she didn't have to. She was saying, that we were still very much in love and we'd be just fine.
At the moment, she's nibbling and kissing my neck. Something she knows perfectly well, drives me bananas. It's working of course as I can feel my whole body start to tingle.
"God damn are you ever so sexy. Sexiest woman in this house, on the whole block even." Tori whispers in my ear, taking a break from my neck.
I quickly look in her perfect brown eyes and smirk. "Vega, you're a beautiful singer but a shitty actress and an even shittier liar. Because I know that you think you're prettier than me. But you are buttering me up, so keep going."
"Ok. Busted, but for the record I am prettier than you."
Not wanting to take that lying down, I quickly flipped her on her back and sat up on her midsection. "Them are fighting words Vega."
Tori didn't miss a beat and quickly began to mock me., "Ooooohhh…the big bad Jade is going to put poor little naughty Tori in her place."
"Tease." I retorted.
"Bitch!" Tori taunted, with a lick of her lips that both angered and enticed me.
Lurching forward, I quickly pinned her to the bed. "DAMN RIGHT VEGA! Looks like someone wants to get topped tonight.
I must have been slipping as she promptly broke the hold I had on her, flipped me over and got on top of me, pinning me to the med.
Tori then smirked evilly. "Someone will get topped tonight, but it won't be me. How about we go for 8 tonight….."
I briefly, struggled then resigned myself to my fate, with a loud retort. "Ok, but less yapping and more fucking Vega!"
No One's POV
The buzzing of the alarm, roused Tori from her deep sleep. As she silenced the alarm, she could see it was 8 am. Shaking off the last vestiges of sleep, she reached over and gently began to shake her wife.
"Wake up, Jade."
"Errnnnn….." was the only response from her sleeping wife.
"Come on. We have to be out of the house by 9. Remember it's part of the plan. All those years ago, my parents and Trina were out of town, so I could have the house to myself, when you came after me."
"I know Tori." Jade muttered, her face still in the pillow. "I was there."
Jade however, didn't move. After a few more moments of Jade remaining motionless on the bed, Tori quickly clapped her hands. "Come on, chop chop, out of bed."
Lifting her head off the pillow, Jade gave Tori a bone chilling glare. "First of all, never say Chop Chop to me again. Second, if you need me to get up in the morning, then DON'T FUCK THE SHIT OUT OF ME THE NIGHT BEFORE!"
Tori quickly frowned. "I thought you liked getting the shit fucked out of you. Did someone not like getting topped last night?"
Sitting up in bed, Jade quickly growled. "I ought to slug you. You know perfectly, well, I like getting the shit fucked out of me, but I hate GETTING UP IN THE MORNING WHEN MY WIFE WORE ME OUT THE NIGHT BEFORE!"
Jade then lay back on the bed, and scowled. "Want me out of bed, then make me get out of bed."
Tori shrugged as she got out of bed and smiled seductively at Jade, then headed off to the bathroom. A second later, she could hear the water in the shower come on. That was followed by Tori's melodious voice saying. "My…oh…my..however will I get off in the shower…..I guess I'll just have to do it myself."
Like a shot, Jade leaped out of bed and stormed into the bathroom, where Tori was waiting for her in the shower, wearing nothing but a smile.
"I thought you wanted to sleep baby." Tori playfully taunted.
Jade, who was naked, walked right into the shower and pressed Tori against the wall. There she began to roughly kiss Tori.
"I HATE YOU"
Her smile widening, Tori said. "I thought you were too tired."
After a few more seconds of rough and passionate kisses, Jade broke off, her scowl, intensifying, "Not enough to stop me from teaching a naughty little wife of mine, a lesson.
In her best imitation of Cat, Tori quickly squealed. "Yay…..I'm going to learn."
A low almost guttural growl was Jade's only response as she returned to kissing Tori, quickly moving down to her neck. Tori knew perfectly well; this would be Jade's response and had used this tactic before. Jade however had her own ways to motivate Tori, which she used most effectively when she wanted.
As the hot water poured over them both, Jade continued her loving assault on Tori's body. Tori passively, let Jade do her thing. The Goth's kisses and caresses quickly got the Latina very worked up. Knowing she didn't have much time to mess around that morning, Jade quickly slipped two fingers into Tori. In and out, Jade pumped furiously, causing Tori to let out a long moan as an orgasm quickly came over her.
Seeing her work done, Jade kissed Tori on the forehead and grabbed her shampoo, letting Tori to recover.
"You got me out of bed and an orgasm to boot. So, all I can say is well played Vega." Jade then handed the dazed Tori the bottle of shampoo. "Now, wash my hair, before I decide to really kick your ass."
"Sounds like a promise." Tori responded playfully.
Jade could only smirk in reply. "Careful what you wish for Vega. Because, you most certainly are going to get it."
With a wink, Tori began to wash Jade's hair.
After they showered and got ready, Jade and Tori packed overnight bags and headed up to their cabin in the mountains. They had bought it about 4 years previous and was their escape from the world. Their private sanctum, as it were. Located 2 hours away, the cabin, had a beautiful view of a valley below.
The cabin itself was rather small, but comfortable with a single bedroom and adjoining patio. It was a place of quiet, with few neighbors where they could be together. They both found it a place where, their creative juices could flow more easily. They got up there after lunch as they stopped at a diner along with way. Once there they unpacked, took a quiet walk in the woods and then Jade read a new Horror novel while Tori worked on some music.
Once evening fell, they had dinner of fish and salad, and spent some time on the couch watching tv.
All day however, each had Alice on their mind, Jade most of all. Tori would notice her wife, constantly checking her phone, to see if there was any update from Alice or her sister. There was no word. But Tori, was confident and the two or three times, Jade started to dial their daughter, she would calmly put her hands on Jade's and say.
"It will be alright. If she needs help, she'll call."
Still, Tori could see that Jade remained somewhat tense all throughout the day. Though she did her best not to show it, Tori knew how to read her wife perfectly well.
Later on, when it was time for bed, jade went into the bedroom, while Tori finished cleaning in the kitchen and make sure the doors were locked. After a quick trip to the bathroom, she headed to the bedroom.
Walking into the bedroom, Tori smiled when she could see that Jade had already begun in a fire in the fireplace and had dimmed the lights, but when she saw Jade her smile morphed into a frown.
Lying on the king-sized bed, on top of a blackglama mink bedspread, was Jade, striking a sultry pose in her panties.
Crossing her arms, Tori's frown turned into a full blown scowl. "Um…..Jade….what are you doing on that bed with clothes on?
"Jeeze…It's only panties."
"You know the rules. NO clothes on or in our bed. That bed is strictly naked territory." Tori said as she began to strip.
Moving to comply, Jade remembered Tori playfully proposing a rule but later on became oddly serious about it. The Cabin could be quite cold and the fur bedspread allowed them to be naked on the coldest of nights and remain toasty warm.
After stripping out of her panties, Jade tossed them on the floor. She then lay back on the soft black fur, and smiled. "Happy now!"
Naked herself, Tori grinned and climbed on the bed and gave her wife a loving kiss. Once finished, Tori motioned to Jade to turn over.
"Ok, Jade. Time for one of my massages. I know you're worried about Alice, but it's gotten you way to tense. In fact, you're back is so tense, it's making the succubus tattooed there look rather constipated."
Not saying a word, Jade turned over and let Tori do her work. A few years back, Tori had taken a class on massage and had since become rather good at it. What made it more enticing for Jade, was the tender caresses and kisses Tori would often mix in.
After several minutes of working on Jade's back, Tori said. "She's going to be alright Jade."
For several moments, Jade remained silent, then spoke in a soft voice. "You were sure of your feelings, when you came to my door, you were sure of my feelings, when you came to my door. You were right on both counts. And next October, we'll be married 25 years."
Pausing in the middle of working on Jade's lower back, Tori said, a bit of fear in her voice. "What are you saying?"
"Get that out of your head Tori. Right now!"
"What?"
"I could hear it in your voice, you're afraid, I have some sort of regret."
Jade then lifted her head and looked at Tori, a fierce look in her eyes. "NOT FOR ONE SECOND. YOU ARE MY WIFE, MY HEART AND MY WHOLE FUCKING LIFE! We have a life together and I wouldn't give it up for anything. I LOVE YOU, I'VE ALWAYS LOVED YOU, before I even met you and I'll still love you, long after we're gone and the sun in the sky has burnt out. If you hadn't shown up at my door that night, I would have spent the rest of my life feeling like something was missing, wondering why I couldn't be truly happy."
Jade then got up and got right into Tori's face. "I LOVE YOU TORI VEGA!"
Tori promptly began to cry. "Thank you. I needed to hear that. I have twinges of guilt sometimes. Like I….."
"You didn't, you saved me. You probably saved Beck too. Because I would have gotten back together, with him, married him, been miserable, made him more miserable and when he started to cheat on me, I would have cut his fucking dick off. Then shoved it up his ass! Any questions?"
Tori wiped her tears and smiled. "That's my Jade, who can be utterly romantic and utterly gory, all in the same sentence."
Jade smirked and kissed Tori's nose. "Good. Yes I'm worried. That they won't have the same magic we did. And though I know you're sure it will work, I know there's a part of you that's worried too. She's our daughter and it's our jobs as parents to worry about her. Now. I'm still tense. Back to work on my back."
Moving back onto her stomach, Tori continued working on Jade's back until she Jade started to snore, meaning she had fallen asleep. On her face was a contented expression.
For almost a half an hour, Tori sat next to Jade and gently caressed the back of her sleeping wife. Part of her wanted to wake Jade and initiate lovemaking, but she didn't. While she knew that Jade would be responsive, this quiet moment, seemed almost more special.
"I love you so much Jade." Tori finally whispered in the sleeping Goth's ear.
Feeling a bit sleepy, she turned out the lights and pulled the fur bedspread around her and Jade and closed her eyes. Pressed up against Jade, feeling nothing but love, Tori quickly fell asleep.
The next morning, they made love and then planned for the day. According to Alice's plan, she'd have Kendra over for a romantic dinner and they'd spend the night at their house. The plan was for Kendra and Alice to do something together, to further forge their status as a couple as Tori and Jade had gone grave shopping all those years ago.
The plan was for Tori and Jade to stay away until at least 3 pm, where then they'd come back and see how things went.
Once they got ready for the day, Tori suggested they stop at a new winery in the area and take a tour. Jade being the closet wine snob she was, jumped at it.
They enjoyed the day and Tori noticed that Jade seemed much more relaxed and Tori's own fears were much quieter.
Just after 3 pm, the pair pulled up to their house. They noted that Alice's car wasn't in the driveway. She had left there on Friday, before Jade and Tori dropped her off at Kendra's.
"Kendra's gone. That has to be a good sign" said Tori as she unlocked the front door.
"It is." Jade responded.
They got inside and put things away. Coming down the stairs into the kitchen, Jade remembered she had left a soda cup and some other trash in the car. She got it and took into the kitchen to toss it out.
But once she opened the garbage pail, she instantly froze.
"TORI!"
Running down the stairs, Tori came into the kitchen to see a very worried looking Jade standing over the garbage pail.
"What's wrong Jade."
"The plan it didn't go as planned; something went wrong." Jade said, her voice nearly in a state of panic."
"What? How do you know?"
"According to the plan, Alice was going to have the take-out dinner delivered as you did with me. But there is no take out trash in the garbage."
Walking over, Tori put her hand on Jade's shoulder to calm her, though her own fears were starting to rise. "Maybe they emptied the trash and put a new bag in there."
"No. No. See that broken light bulb in the trash. I threw that in there Friday afternoon. They DIDN'T HAVE THEIR ROMANTIC TAKE OUT DINNER, the plan went wrong. Where is my baby?" Jade sputtered as she fell into full freak out mode.
Just as Jade was about to dial, Alice, they heard a car door slam. Going to the door, they could see it was Laurie and Carrie.
As soon as they were in the door, Jade ran up. "The plan went wrong; did you hear from Alice. Is she ok? Why are you here."
"Calm down mama Jade." Said Carrie. "Alice texted us and asked for us to be at home as she wanted to tell us what happened."
Laurie then chimed in. "She texted me, she said she'd be here in about 5 minutes. Why don't we all go to the living room and we can wait and try to relax."
"I'm worried too." Said Tori. "I thought we had everything worked out perfectly."
"Come on'' Carrie said as she ushered them into the living room. "I'll make us some drinks and we can wait for Alice."
"Neither of you hear from her." Asked Tori.
Both Carrie and Laurie shook their heads as they walked into the living room.
Once in the living room, Carrie and Laurie sat their mothers down, made some drinks and began to calm them down. Carrie knew that Jade panicking, would eventually cause her mama Tori to panic. After a few minutes the girls had gotten their mothers calmed down when they heard a car door slam.
Almost instantly Jade shot off the couch, but Carrie quickly, stopped her. "Mama Jade. Calm down. Alice is here and she will explain things." Looking over at her mama Tori, she could see a similar worried expression.
A moment later they could hear the back door open and close.
"Mama Tori, Mama Jade?" Called Alice's voice from the kitchen.
"Here baby." Said Jade, her voice cracking.
A moment later, Alice, who was dressed in Jeans and a Go-Go's T-shirt walked in and stopped just inside the living room. All present, quickly studied her.
Her head was slightly lowered and on her face a look of vague sadness. At the same time, she had her hands in her pockets and seemed to shuffle her feet slightly.
"I suppose you want to know what happened?"
"YES, MY GOD YES. DID SHE HURT YOU? I'LL KILL HER! Screeched Jade as she stood up and reached for her scissors.
Tori stood up and took Jade's hand. "Calm down baby." She then turned to Alice.
"We saw that you didn't have take out here. I take things didn't go was planned."
Alice quietly nodded, then sighed. "I was so sure. I really was. I was so sure she felt the same way about me. And for a while, things went as planned. She was receptive to my overtures of love, but things eventually went sideways."
Jade who now looked on the verge of tears, said. "I'm so sorry honey. What happened."
"Things were going so well. We'd spent the night together. I thought she loved me as much as I loved her." Kendra said before pausing. "I thought it was a magical and perfect night."
Abruptly, Alice perked up and squealed. "It was and she felt the same way."
From around the corner Jumped Kendra who took quickly kissed Alice and in one swift motion both held out their left hands to display matching rings.
Looking more excited by the second, Kendra announced. "The plan didn't go as planned because, we ran off to Las Vegas and GOT MARRIED!"
