Legendary Heroes of Townsville
(Summary so far: Katrina and The Powerpuff Girls had just exited from their old home, and acquired the stone curse-removing Chemical X. At the time they left they were ambushed by none other than their arch-nemesis from many years ago, Mojo Jojo! Who has resorted to keeping his brain in a jar and using it to take control of a giant mech! After their first battle in decades Mojo asks for mercy in return for the girls rebuilding his mech. Katrina tried asking Mojo if he knew how the girls had fallen into a deep slumber and became statues; he had no idea, and the girls are too afraid to speak of it...)
Chapter 4
"I apologize for what happened today, but I shall be totally honest when I, Mojo Jojo, tell you all that I'm turning over a new leaf! Now if you'll all excuse me I need to get something that belongs to you." The brain in a jar walked over to a low-to-the-ground keypad, typed the password, and opened it to reveal the special Chemical X vial. "Here you are. Yes, I took it when you all were still passed out; but I have given it back to prove to you I only ask for a second chance. Oh, and by the way, tell Professor Utonium I said hello."
"We will." Everyone said. Mojo opened up the exit and everyone left, waving bye.
"It'd be very frightening for them to find out that their 'problem' is coming shortly three weeks from now. But they should be glad, as that gives them enough time to prepare!" He said to himself. "Within a week and six days from now, they should turn back into statues, once that happens, all that needs to be done is for the one called Katrina to pour the special Chemical X onto their statue forms. Then the curse is forever broken."
(Back outside)
"Well... that was seriously suspicious of Mojo to just let us go like that." Buttercup said. "I still don't believe he's really on our side."
"What makes you say that?" Asked Katrina.
"It's Mojo. Do I need to spell it out for you?" Buttercup remarked.
"Buttercup, knock it off!" Blossom ordered. Her sister fell silent. "Sorry. She's only saying this because she doesn't believe 'villains can be given second chances'."
"Because everyone knows a villain will just blow it off the moment you give 'em one!"
"Tell that to Mojo." Bubbles quipped.
Blossom couldn't help but snicker. "At least we possibly have a new ally on our side. For the most part anyways..."
"Come on! Don't tell me you're siding with her!" Buttercup was referring to Bubbles. "Katrina what do you think? Do you think Mojo could still be-"
"Hey don't pin this on Katrina! She hasn't known Mojo for as long as we have!"
Katrina whispered to Bubbles. "Is this normal?"
"Very." Bubbles replied.
"Should we intervene?"
"I'd wait. It takes them a while."
(A while later)
"-that's just how you are Buttercup!"
"Oh shut it! How long have we been here arguing for anyways!?"
"About thirty minutes." Katrina said.
Blossom and Buttercup just looked at each other with blank stares. They shook on it and apologized. After breaking eye contact they just realize it's dark out now. Mojo's robot came outside after the argument he was eavesdropping on suddenly stopped. "Hey. You three. In here. It's supposed to rain soon and I'd rather you not stay out here for longer." He said.
Katrina and Bubbles were the first two to enter. Blossom looked back at Buttercup and said: "Look, after our 'conversation' we had, I can only say I respect your opinion. If you don't want to accept the offer, then you can head to our home."
"Nah... there's no place like home if you don't have your family to share it with. Besides Mojo's technically family." Buttercup walked past Blossom and entered the observatory with a smile on her face.
"That's what I like to hear from a fellow sister." Blossom followed suit and entered as well. "Hey Mojo. Buttercup would like to know if you were being serious when you said you'd like to change your ways."
"Of course I was being serious! I'm Mojo Jojo! I am a very serious simian! But I can also understand Buttercup's grudge towards your's truly. I've committed several heinous crimes, made problems, and tried harming you three. I'm honestly glad you two accepted my change."
Blossom nodded in understanding and found the bed Mojo had set up for the girls (that goes for all four).
"I can feel the start of a brand-new friendship between heroes and an ex-villain. Sleep well girls..."
(TV static transition to tomorrow)
Everyone was sitting on the couch in front of Mojo's TV, where he too was sitting with everyone (more like behind everyone). "-And for today's news, legends confirmed! Three bright lights were seen yesterday flying through the sky!" Everyone's eyes widened at that, even Mojo's robot's eyes. "These lights bare an obvious resemblance to the three legendary heroes who were thought to be false rumors. But maybe... just maybe, there may just be a new light for Townsville if trouble is ever to arise. To these heroes, wherever they may be, we only say: 'Do your best to keep this city safe from peril'! This is (A/N: It took me about half an hour to think of a name for this character) Tord H. Dae signing off.
The TV was turned off and the girls were discussing amongst themselves.
"Can you believe this!?" Bubbles happily asked.
"I know. The news apparently found you three flying through the air earlier, now it's proven that you are real." Katrina said.
"That being said... we'll need to be careful, because clearly people have forgotten who we are. There could be many outcomes to this situation; the first being people will want to hound us with questions; the second being people will most likely try to capture us or use us for profit; the last one being any previous villains except Mojo, will still probably want to destroy us."
"Actually girls... regarding most villains, they've actually asked for my assistance in the art of 'robotization'. Which if you all didn't know, is when an individual becomes a robot through a special process."
"Is that what you did to save yourself?" Katrina asked.
"Precisely, and if I remember correctly I have a list of the people who've asked." They followed the metallic chimp to the next few rooms, eventually making it to that area. "This here is the Data Storage Area, I have a list of the many people who've asked me to give them the robotization treatment, and got it." He pulled up a list of many names. Well... that's a bit of an understatement, there was only one name on screen.
"There's only one name." Bubbles was hinting the obvious again. "And it says Princess Morbucks."
"She came to you for this?" Blossom asked.
"She said, and I quote: 'If I'm to manage my own company for who knows how long, I simply ask that you make me into a robot so that I'll last to keep watching over my company'. And so I did."
"Does she manage one yet?"
"Actually yes; and her robot body doesn't look like mine. It looks more feminine, and her face is a TV screen with her actual face on it." He pulled up a picture to show them what he meant.
"Wow... I must say, she really does look different." Buttercup said. No one got the joke.
"Anyways... I've notified her of your return. Maybe tomorrow once you wake up your Professor you can sling a 'hello' her way? She's been very willing to see you once again." That suddenly got the group's gears moving.
"Oh right! We need to head back home! It's been fun staying here with you Mojo but we gotta fly! Goodbye! See you soon maybe!" Blossom said.
"Hasta la vista!" Bubbles said.
"Aloha!" Buttercup said.
"Uh... some other word for goodbye!" Katrina said.
"Hm. I was hoping she'd say Au revoir."
(At the girls' home)
Despite being noticed by only about four citizens, they made it home safely; they all immediately entered and Katrina decided to stay with them to introduce herself to their creator. They flew down to the lab (the Powerpuff Girls did at least) and stood in front of the ice chamber, waiting for the thing to open. A full minute passed before it did, and stepping out came the creator of the three super-powered sisters in the first place.
"*Clears throat* Feels good to stretch again. Oh! Girls!" The Professor said.
"Professor!" The three sisters said as they all hugged their creator.
"I'm so glad someone managed to bring you back! To whom do I owe my thanks?" He asks. The girls float out of his view and Katrina is revealed to his gazers. "Well I must simply thank you for doing this; you wouldn't know how distraught I was to find my daughters stuck in that stone form for so long. What's your name young one?"
"My name is Katrina Melinski; and yes, I'm the one who brought back your daughters. It was honestly very surprising, finding out the legends were true and all."
"I understand; after all, I'm the one who set up all those recordings, while also asking Blossom to record one of them before the stoning curse consumed her again."
"Speaking of, is it true the special Chemical X will only work on us when we're 'stoned'?" Blossom asked.
"Well there's really only one valid reason as to why Blossom. You see because this Chemical X was made with a special ingredient that only affects the properties of stone. If the stone originated from a living source, then it'll turn that stone back into the living organism it used to be. And that's pretty much everything you need to know about it."
"Huh. Now I know everything I need to know." Bubbles said.
"Professor? The girls are too afraid to tell me how everything went down. Do you mind explaining?" Katrina asked.
"Alright. If you've managed to bring back my sisters, it only makes sense that I give you something in return." He walked back upstairs to the living room and sat down down on the newly repaired couch. The Powerpuff Girls followed him up. "So, in short-"
(Flashback)
"It started out as a usual battle between the girls and their most dangerous enemy, HIM. HIM is practically a representation of the devil himself, and he created the most strongest monster; stronger than most villains, to defeat the girls."
"This guy's too strong! We can't win unless we go all out!" Blossom said.
"I've never seen such power!" Buttercup exclaimed.
"Ohohoho~! Girls... you clearly don't understand that this isn't a battle you can win. Abysmal here is made from the power of the strongest light source, infused with my own dark energy It's like if the sun... was a dark energy orb!"
"Yes... Abysmal was the ultimate definition of strength. Known as the demon to balance both light and dark. HIM had created Abysmal and made his existence well-known; everyone who had seen his black and white face ran in fear. But it wasn't even that that made him feared; many people were victims of the stone statue curse. Using his hollow blade, if he were fast and strong enough, he could shatter that stone into pieces and absorb the souls of those he's killed. The girls of course, couldn't be destroyed any further than what had already happened to them thanks to their increased durability. Abysmal had ran low on energy trying to break the girls' souls, so he made a retreat back into HIM, banishing him effectively."
"Darn... well you know what they say, or if they even say this at all... 'If you can't beat 'em, make a retreat'."
"HIM vanished back into his dimension for an nth year long nap, and I was left to take my daughters back home to examine them."
(Snap back to reality)
"Apparently the stone they're covered in lets off a special substance that I was able to add to the special Chemical X. I named it Chemical SX, the only vial of Chemical X I've ever made that was able to disable the stoning curse afflicted to a person turned to stone. I managed to free the girls for about three days, I managed strengthen Chemical SX by adding more of that special substance. Now if you were to give it to them when they're statues, the effects will keep the stoning curse away forever."
"Wow... all of that seems like too much to take in at once."
"I know it seems like too much, but you have to understand it's for my daughters. Now since we have about a week and two days left before the stoning effect takes place again. I'd like you to meet me here again, at that time. In the meantime I'll have the girls stay here with me until further notice. I'll tell the Mayor that you three have returned."
"Which mayor?" Bubbles asked.
"The current one, maybe he'll understand you three are here to keep this city safe." He answered.
"Err... actually, maybe refrain from doing that until we're... uh..." Blossom couldn't think of the word.
"Confident?" Katrina asked.
"Yeah... that."
"That's fine. I understand you're all a little shy in this new time period. Okay, I'll wait until you think I should." He told them.
"Thanks Professor." All three said. All four girls then proceeded upstairs to the heroes' bedroom.
"I never thought he'd be this great a scientist." Katrina thought to himself. "He's a great father to his daughters." Yes he's a man of science, but he's also willing to take time off the science biz to take care of his daughters. And right now he's got someone to tell of an amazing return regarding the Titans of Townsville, the Legendary Heroes, a practical gift from the gods, the return, of The Powerpuff Girls.
(Meanwhile... in a strange, hellish, landscape)
"So... they've returned? Huh? Curse that insolent child! Ruining my plans of keeping this world for myself! Since they're back, I can't do anything about this, and Abysmal is too low on power, so he'll be of no use; but hopefully for the time being... Once I'm able to fully restore my strength, those rotten cavities will soon never see the light of day EVER AGAIN!" Uh oh... looks like the being of evil himself has returned for their ever-lasting vengeance. Let's hope the heroes are more than capable of taking care of this demon...
