Legendary Heroes of Townsville

(Summary so far: Katrina is still all too curious about how the girls lost that 'fateful' battle that day. After leaving Mojo's lair, their next stop was the location the Professor was supposably still hidden in, the girls' childhood home. Once they entered a room only the girls could access, the Professor was freed from his cryogenic containment unit. Katrina's curiosity finally dissipated when he told her everything. Oh yeah and people know about the girls' existence now.)

Chapter 5

A few days passed and Katrina was sleeping soundly in the PPG's bed while she was visiting again; once she woke up she saw the most fearful thing ever. "Oh no... I have to get the Chemical SX!" Yep... the curse has taken it's effect again... The Professor was taken by surprise when she hastily bolted out of the door, they accidentally hit each other when they were crossing paths.

"Woah! Where's the fire?" He asked.

"Where's the SX!?" She asked.

"What!? Oh no we have to hurry back to your home! You said you kept it there didn't you!?"

"Oh shoot he's right... I never brought it back here..." Katrina then spoke aloud. "Should I head back now? My parents are still home, I'm hoping they haven't seen it yet... they get real suspicious over strange objects."

"I'll come with you to back you up if need be." He assured her.

"I think that'd be completely helpful. How much have we left?" He gave a look of confusion. "Sorry; how much time?"

"Hmm... judging by what time they turned back, we have about three hours, which is a decent amount of time."

She sighed a breath of relief from hearing this. "Thank goodness, my house is only several minutes away from here." The Professor and Katrina ran out the entrance and she led him in the correct directions. They made it and they were greeted by her mother.

"Oh... hello Katrina; and... er..." She was at a bit of a loss when she saw his face. "Who is your new adult friend here?"

"Oh my name is Professor Utonium. You may call me 'Professor' if it's ok with you."

"Oh... I see. Well then 'Mr.' Utonium, why is it you've come here with my daughter?" (A/N: Yes, I know he isn't married; therefore you technically can't call him 'Mr.').

"Well... hmm... how do I put this? She ran into me and I've told her about a 'scientific experience' she could get if she came with me to my lab." He winked to Katrina (one which her mother didn't notice).

"Yep... that's pretty much it. I just came back to get my bag though, so we'll be heading back real quick." Katrina told her.

"Well don't be long." Katrina nodded and walked past her. "So... what's this 'scientific experience' that you're introducing my daughter to?"

"You'd be surprised. I bet you didn't know that I made my own daughters in my lab. You see, I was always a little too self-absorbed in my science, eventually, the time I spent with my pet monkey just wasn't enough to help. I took it upon myself to start a family; I was going to create the perfect little girl. Of course... maybe I got more than expected, my pet started rampaging out of nowhere, and hit an unstable chemical I had no idea was near me, and it was added to what I used as ingredients. The result was rather amazing, I'm surprised the only thing that changed were their looks..." He was glad me managed to hide the whole 'super-powered' thing; though he was thinking of admitting it later when the SX is obtained.

"I have my bag, we can go now."

"Well it was nice chatting to a fellow adult again. Have a nice day Mrs. Melinski!" He waved goodbye as the two headed back to the Professor's home.

"Goodbye you two!" She yelled back. "Don't be long Katrina!"

(Back at the Utonium's residence)

"C'mon, c'mon, c'mon! We've only thirteen seconds!" Katrina warned. The Professor had quickly poured a decent amount of the Chemical SX onto the statued girls. Nothing had happened; well for the time being at least... "Were we... too late?"

"I can't confirm for myself... it didn't take this long last time." He told her.

She slightly bit her fingers and waited for some other effect to occur. When all hope felt kinda lost, the statues glowed in three different colors. The colors turned white, and the girls' bodies returned to their physical being. They all flew up into the air in happiness. "Oh thank goodness..." Katrina said breathlessly.

"Katrina, Professor, thank you both so much!" Bubbles said.

"Yeah... felt weird to become totally immobile again." Buttercup admitted.

"Reminds me way too much of... *shudders* that. *shudders again*." Blossom said.

"Well girls, you should be glad that now that I've managed to successfully get the SX on your stone bodies, the curse is now officially gone! You're all free you three!"

"Thank goodness!" They all said. They then flew to Katrina and hugged her reluctantly; after giving their thanks to her, they shifted over to the Professor, doing the same.

(Somewhere, in a hellish landscape)

"I'm starting to get very annoyed with this human... I may have the necessary patience for when my power returns, but even I can't stand waiting sometimes!" The figure waved a claw in the air. "But alas... I must. I wish to see what happens next..."

(Back with the girls)

The three of them were still in their room with Katrina, who was asking questions that she never really asked before.

"So... where did you go to school?"

"Pokey Oaks Kindergarten." Blossom answered.

"Do you all have the same powers?"

"Unless it's ice breath, being bilingual, or this." Buttercup curled her tongue when she finished speaking.

"What was your hardest battle?"

"To win? Probably the second time we fought the Rowdyruff Boys." Bubbles stated.

"But all that went downhill when we realized all it took was a little embarrassment. When that was over, they shrunk to the size of ants. Buttercup over here almost thought of stepping on 'em." Blossom nudged her sister to make a point.

"Well... that was then, they were normal size again after that!" She retorted.

"So one last question, and this may sound strange coming from me." She waited for their confirmation and asked: "What are you three afraid of?"

"Losing everyone..." They all said.

"But that's just us as one, I feel like I'm more afraid of feeling like I'm incapable..." Blossom said.

"I will admit, spiders had me creeped out for a while, but that fear is gone now. So... if I had to answer properly... uh... being the weakling." Buttercup said.

"What about you Bubbles?" Katrina started looking over to her.

Her pupils shrunk when she realized she was the last one not to answer. "Uh... uh..." She couldn't muster up any words though; she didn't want Katrina knowing-

"She's afraid of practically everything." Buttercup interrupted.

"Hey! I am not!" She retorted.

"Really? Don't you remember when HIM tampered with our dreams? You were literally afraid of plush toys threatening to turn you into one."

Her sister was on the brink of tears.

"Look... just because you can, doesn't mean you should Buttercup. It's not nice to really give off that kind of info, especially when you know Bubbles can't handle most of the things in the world." That was a poor choice of words Blossom.

Her sister was now clinging onto Katrina.

"You really need to word your statements to be less... rude." Katrina told the redhead.

"Oh... jeez... we are such monsters..." The leader thought to herself.

"I'm guessing this happens frequently for your sisters?" Katrina asked Bubbles.

"I really wished they didn't do this so often. I guess it's normal for sisters though..." She admitted. "Sometimes I wonder if there was ever a chance we could act more like a family, and not each others' enemies."

"I honestly wouldn't know. I'm an only child."

The girls immediately felt pity for her.

"That must be horrible... not having another sibling to share some interests with?" Blossom said.

"C'mon really you guys? We've met many people who were an only child! Why do you have to get so mushy over her?" Buttercup said. "No offense."

"Oh no it's fine." Katrina reassured her.

"My point still stands!"

"Girls!? Katrina!? You may wanna come see this!" The girls and Katrina bolted downstairs to view the television screen to witness what the Professor was talking about. "There've been more sightings regarding you three in Townsville lately!"

"You're joking..." Buttercup said.

"TV doesn't lie Buttercup." The Professor pointed at the screen and everyone saw supposed video footage of three lights shooting through the sky.

"Yep... pink, green, and blue... I'm starting to think people really did forget who we were over time..." Blossom complained.

"When do you think people will truthfully find out?" Katrina asked.

"Hopefully during a time they need us." Buttercup said. "I feel like just showing up simply isn't enough. Don'tcha think there should be something for us to actually want to have us reveal ourselves once again?"

"The chances of that happening are the chances of Mojo going back to evil. But still... trying to act like we really shouldn't be out there experiencing the new world really bugs me..." Blossom said.

"Why don't you three ask Mojo to just terrorize Townsville? Then maybe you would have a valid reason to show yourselves!" Katrina suggested.

The girls thought over it; whereas the Professor probably wanted to argue against it, his daughters just couldn't resist okaying the idea. Without saying anything, they bolted out the door and hid amongst the clouds, making their way to the observatory that housed the brain of a monkey (chimp) itself. They each landed in front of the door and knocked.

"Who is it?" Mojo said from the other side of the door.

"Pizza delivery!" Buttercup jokingly shouted, much to Blossom's annoyance. "What?"

"Mojo! It's us! We have something to tell you!" Blossom said.

"Hold on a mo! I'm currently making my way to my giant robot so I can gain the ability to open this door that you are standing in front of!" He opened the door. "Ah... hello you three! What is it you were in a desperate desirable position to tell me?"

"We need you to help us gain our confidence back!" Bubbles said.

"How so..?" Mojo asked.

"Well..." Buttercup started...

(A/N: No I'm not gonna write the whole explanation down)

"Think you get it now?" Buttercup asked.

"Hmm... self-embarrassment? But for the purpose of giving the heroes that people totally forgot about for many uncountable years? Hmm... I apologize but I must think this over." He closes the door, then opens it literally a second later. "Okay I'll do it."

"Thanks Mojo!"

"Can't wait to see you... uh... when are we doing this?" Bubbles asked.

"Tomorrow evening Bubbles." Buttercup reminded her.

"Correct. Until then, I look forward to our 'mock battle'!" Mojo said.

"No, no, no, no... it's a real battle Mojo. We're just not going to go as hard as we normally would on you like all those years ago." Blossom reminded him.

"Oy... right... well nevertheless I shall try as much as you want me to!"

"Nice to hear." They fly off. "See you then!"

"I must get into character for when the event of our known battle takes place. For when that time comes, I won't be in character, and I won't be giving off those villainous vibes, as I was once a villainous character; therefore it will make much more sense." He put on his 'evil face' and started an evil laugh. "Mwahahaha!" Except it sounded robotic. "Now Powerpuff Girls... it is time for your reckoning! HAHAHAHAHA! Hey computer! How did that sound!?"

An automated voice responds with: "Menacing enough to be believed."

"Perfect. I can't wait to see them tomorrow and recreate the past! Oh... such fun I had back then, and what fun I'll have now!" The brain carrier jumped with joy.

(Back with our heroes, and average human being)

"Can't wait to see how all of that is gonna go tomorrow, I'll make sure to wake up and catch the battle." Katrina told her friends.

"Uh... you sure you wanna get involved? Our battles can be pretty intense..." Blossom warned her.

"I'll be fine. Besides, I've always wanted to see you three in action!"

"Well I can't blame her for her enthusiasm. I suggest we just get some sleep for the time being Red." Buttercup said.

"Don't call me 'Red'. I'm more towards pink." Red retorted.

"Can you two please keep it down..? I'm tryna get some- *yawns*." Bubbles never finished her sentence because she was too tired.

"I'm with her." Blossom closed her eyes and drifted away into slumber.

"Same here. See ya Katrina." Buttercup said as she joined her sisters.

"Bye!" She waved bye as she left the room.

(Outside)

Katrina was just making her way to her home, when an invisible force pushed her to the ground and knocked her to sleep.

(Transition to... some kind of hellish landscape)

"Ugh... wha? What happened?" Katrina rubbed her forehead as she lifted herself off the ground. Surveying the area, she found out she was defnitely not in Kansas (Townsville) anymore. "Jeez... it's hot in here... Wait. Where is 'here'?"

"Ohohohoho~. Wouldn't that be nice to know?" A feminine echoey voice said.

"Who's that!? Where am I? And where are you?" Katrina asked.

"All shall be answered... Starting now. One: You are in my lair... Two: I'm soon to appear in your presence... Three: My name is... His Infernal Majesty... But you may call me..." The evil devilish-looking figure appeared in front of Katrina. They had the strangest fashion statement, a poofy fleece scarf and fleece around the waist of the dress with a belt around the center as well; they had no hands, but instead, the claws of a lobster. Eyelashes and bright green eyes, a smile that reached each blush pink cheek, high boots, and elfy ears. The red skinned individual was referred to as none other than... "HIM! Ahahahaha~!" *Shudders* Just thinking about this creep gives me the chills; Katrina was standing in this room with the very epitome of evil itself! "Anyways I see you've paired up with those curse-afflicted metahumans you call friends. Well 'past-tense' on the affliction, I'm rather upset that you helped them out of that curse! Now I have to find a way to contain them again, and it's all because of you!" HIM snapped his claws in a threatening manner as he loomed over the mortal.

"Y-You're not g-g-gonna hurt m-me... A-Are y-you?" She stuttered through her words.

"Of course not..." HIM cooed in a mock-friendly tone. "I merely brought you here so I can show you how exactly those three were struck down~!" HIM summoned a being with skin that was one side white, and one side black. The eyes of the being were inverted depending on the side the color of the skin was on. There was a deep blue headband under its hair, and a strange curled hairpiece to the right of its head. It also had black wings with a white inner part, and a shirt with a four pointed green star, a brown belt was around its waist, its feet were belted completely. What was the most scariest feature about it? Probably the hollow axe it carried, the very weapon with a threatening backstory to it. "This here is Abysmal; known as 'The Demon to Balance Both Light and Darkness', he's the very obedient creation of mine who turned the girls into stone with one swing of his Hollow Axe!" HIM slinked around Katrina's body. "And if he were given orders from yours' truly right now~. Ohohohoho~!" Abysmal prepared his Hollow Axe by holding it in the air; not even saying a word. "He may not be much of a talker, but he's threatening where it counts~."

"Please... don't do it..." Katrina begged.

"Relax you! This is merely a dream you're in anyways! However... I will warn you... with me introduced... you'll wish you'll have never met me! Abysmal?" Abysmal looked over to HIM. "Do it." Abysmal raised the weapon and gave a good slash at Katrina. The blade phased right through her, and she was about to question if anything even happened until she started becoming numb from the waist down.

"You won't get away with this!" Katrina said. "The Powerpuff Girls will def-!" She was cut off as she turned to stone-.

(In her room)

-and woke up in her room. "Wow... that guy's scarier than he seems... I should warn the girls after their battle tomorrow..."

Oh boy... this is getting intense! I'm on the edge of my seat just thinking about what's eventually going to occur! I hope something good will come out of this...
