Legendary Heroes of Townsville
(Summary so far: The girls had suffered from the curse yet again! After safely retrieving the Chemical SX from her bag back at home, she ran back to the Utoniums' residence and immediately helped the girls out of the stone curse. Later on, everyone found out that the girls have been discovered YET AGAIN! It was at this point where the heroes came to Mojo with a deal to battle him so they have a reason to come back to the limelight. Meanwhile, HIM decided to have Katrina visit his lair for a few seconds, threatening her with Abysmal's existence. She's gonna try and warn the girls about it... for all that is good, let's hope she does...)
Chapter 6
The city... of Townsville! Still a peaceful city where absolutely nothing goes wrong anymore. *Explosion* Oh? What's this? Look's like Mojo decided to play along...
"The strange robot is tearing down all of the buildings!" The female reporter on the TV screen said. "No one is sure where this thing came from! Or who built it! Or how it's even functioning! A problem like this has never happened in Townsville for years to come! The military has been sent to quell the mechanical monstrosity; unfortunately no positive results had shown. As of now, all we can say is: 'Pray and hope this thing doesn't end up killing you'!" The screen turned to static afterwards.
"Well?" The Professor asked. His daughters looked over to him and looks of determination crossed their faces. "I bet this means you're all ready to show him what for!" He did some punching motions.
"You bet! C'mon girls, let's relive our glory days!" Blossom started.
"And make everyone remember who we are!" Buttercup continued.
"And what we're here for!" Bubbles finished.
All three heroes jetted out towards Townsville, their light trails caught the eyes of some unsuspecting people who were currently running away from danger.
"What are those things!?" A man asked.
"I don't know..." Another replied. "But let's pray to god it's probably something good!"
While the girls flew through the sky, they landed on the rooftops of buildings and ran across them at high speeds. With every rooftop they encountered, they hopped over from building to building, eventually reaching the danger zone. Once they made it to the area where their 'Ex-arch-nemesis', was causing havoc with an array of missiles and other tricks, the girls stood over the robot menacingly from a distance. It noticed them and fired a missile off in their direction. The girls then flew in front of the mechanical menace with the audacity to strike up a conversation with it.
"Well, well, well." Blossom started to speak. "What do we have here? We've been asleep for hundreds of years, and this is what we come back to? Our enemy already started causing destruction, when will you ever learn to just stop?"
"WHAT!? YOU'VE RETURNED!? That's impossible! I was sure that HIM back then had you totally confined within the stone prison that withheld you three meddling pests! Now you've returned!? This I will NOT stand for; now then... I, MOJO JOJO, shall destroy you here and now!"
"Fat chance! You couldn't stop us then, and you sure as heck won't stop us now!" Buttercup taunted.
"I strongly disagree! Watch, my newfound power, as I am now simply a brain that is in control of a giant automaton monkey; FEAR ME!" Mojo no matter how you put it, it's still a chimp; you have/had no tail, it's that simple.
"Nope." All three girls joked.
"Rrghh... I shall teach you not to make FUN OF MY PROWESS!" Mojo's mech fired off dozens of missiles towards the girls that he loomed over. All twelve missiles collided, which created a huge smoke cloud; once the smoke cleared, a glowing field was revealed; the girls survived unscathed! "CURSES! I'll break you! You know I would!"
"Perhaps you forgot who you're dealing with Mojo..." Bubbles started.
"So let it be our job to remind you!" Buttercup added.
The girls gathered up and fired three energy beams at each other from close together. The three colored energy beams then combined into one huge white beam that absolutely tore through the robot's body armor. "AGH! NO! Not the Starburst Ray!" Or so we all thought it did. A shine of light reflected off the robot, hinting no damage was done.
"What!?" Blossom yelled out in shock.
"If not that, then how about this!?" Buttercup charged 'fist'-first at the bot and punched it in the head shaped like a turban. Once her 'fist' connected, she noticed not a single dent was left in it; instead, she dented herself. "OW! Is this Duranium Mojerk!?"
"So you have noticed? My 'Mega Mecha Monkey Suit' has been outfitted to survive even the harshest of blows! Not even the strongest of your attacks can cut it!" Mojo gloated.
"Oh yeah!? Then how about this!?" Blossom dashed forth and latched onto a piece of metal on the bot's chest, tore it off, and crawled in.
"ACK! BLOSSOM! GET YOUR DIRTY MITTS OUT OF MY ROBOT RIGHT N-N-N-N-N... uh-oh..." The robot's body suddenly started becoming encased in ice from the inside out.; eventually it completely froze over. Blossom shot out of the robot's face, which caused it to topple over, the ice encasing it totally shattered, and the battered deactive robot was freed. The brain case managed to escape out towards the observatory, well... it almost did, but unfortunately Bubbles caught it without hesitation.
"Just where do you think you're going villain!?"
"Bubbles... please... show mercy! I'm merely a brain in a jar! Which is to say I have no power that I can use to stop you! Even if I could I'm powerless by this point!"
"Which is why I'll let you go peacefully this time..." Bubbles then threw the jar with legs straight at the ground; clearly it too was made of Duranium because none of it came out with any damages. It fled back to the observatory that housed the ex-villain.
"We did it! Guess we still got it after all these years girls!" Blossom said happily.
"Yeah! Sure I took a hit myself, but that was fun!" Buttercup said.
"We finally got to save Townsville again together! I'm so happy!" Bubbles said.
From underneath them, mass amounts of cheering could be heard. The girls perched themselves onto a building and looked down towards the streets of Townsville, where they could see everyone cheering for them.
"Thanks for saving us mysterious girls!"
"Can I get your autograph!?"
"Who are you!? What are your names!?" That question was the one that earned an answer.
The girls flew down and landed gently on the ground as to not accidentally cause some kind of quake. "To answer that question citizen... we are..." Blossom started.
"The Powerpuff Girls!" They all said together.
"My name is Blossom!"
"I'm Bubbles!"
"The name's Buttercup!"
"We were made to save Townsville from all the evil in the world." Blossom started.
"And that's just what we're gonna do!"
All the nearby citizens cheered harder, the cheering ceased however once the current Mayor arrived. He (like the previous Mayor) had a white moustache and was plump, though he actually wore a grey formal suit and tie, and no monocle; to add insult to injury he actually HAD a head full of hair, and had a dark blue hat. Obviously he had a Mayor's sash. "You three have done a solid great job saving our city from that monster-sized robot! I wish for you three to show up to a special ceremony tomorrow to promote your helpfulness."
"You got it Mayor."
"Oh and don't worry. I spoke with your father over the phone, I found that hotline sitting in my closet. I'll call you when the time comes."
"Understood. Bye everyone!" The girls flew back home, happy to call themselves heroes once again. They were surprised to find Katrina watching everything on their living room couch.
"Hey girls! I watched the whole thing; you were all super cool!"
"Thanks Kat." Bubbles said, blushing slightly.
"Nice to see us in action huh?" Buttercup said.
"Yeah! That being said though... Professor?" Katrina asked.
"Hmm?"
"Can I borrow the girls for a moment?"
"Well... ok. I don't see why not."
The girls curiously followed Katrina up to their room, where she told them about the dream she had last night. She told them everything, from HIM's threats, to Abysmal's silent introduction. The girls' reactions were... mixed.
Blossom was surprised. "You saw HIM!? In your DREAMS!?"
Bubbles was scared. "Oh no! He's back! He probably knows we're back and wants revenge!"
Buttercup was unimpressed. "Shoot! That's just great! Now we have a much bigger problem to worry about!"
"Can you three do anything about it?" Katrina asked.
"Fraid not... we'd have to wait for HIM to show his ugly mug." Buttercup said.
"HIM's no ordinary bee. If he were even a bee at all, he'd be a Killer Wasp!" Blossom stated. "He's also very quick to disappear if he's losing, he won't stay around for too long, but to be honest, despite the fact he's practically unbeatable he can still be stopped, for the most part at least..."
"I'm a little scared. If that Abysmal guy is really the one who was capable of 'statuefying' you three, I'm scared to see what else he's possibly capable of doing."
(A/N: Everyone will explain Abysmal's abilities in this order Blossom, Bubbles, Buttercup). "If I remember correctly, he can shoot homing lasers."
"Fly really fast."
"Teleport."
"Create shadowy tornadoes."
"Create giant projections of hands that seriously hurt."
"And you already know about the stone curse, but if you're no living being... it'll sever you."
"Is that all?" Katrina asked.
"Pretty much." Buttercup said.
"No wait! I almost forgot! He can split himself into two! Both his light and dark side!" Blossom warned. "What's worse is that they both have deadly equal strength!"
"Girls... I think I know why the Professor must be pretty protective of you three now... to be honest, I'm scared of Townsville losing you again. I mean... who knows how long it'll be before he makes a new SX brew?" Good question Kat.
"Look... I'm gonna be dead serious here for a moment." Blossom began, she urged for her sisters to back away. They dimmed the lights for a more fitting effect. "We get it, we understand, we know that you all are afraid of losing us to some Joe Shmoe who thinks they can defeat us. Chances are we'll probably lose at some point, but we always strive to save the world; if we get injured horribly, or even worse... die, then we'll have done it in the name of heroism. We know people will be upset, but we'd rather them be happy knowing we tried, or even better, won. I hope you understand where I am going with this; it's our duty, we don't want to have to do it 24/7, but apparently some people just want to watch the world burn... You understand now?"
Buttercup and Bubbles were lightly crying in the background. "It's so true! Why can't we ever just have fun without putting our lives at risk!?" Buttercup said in the background.
"I- I- I uh... I'm sorry, I honestly didn't know you felt that way..." Katrina said in an understanding tone.
"It's fine... just trust us you won't try to get in the way of a battle. I don't wanna risk our 'savior's' life either." Blossom said while giving a hug to Katrina.
"I wont; but that doesn't mean I won't show my support."
"That's more like it. Glad to hear it; especially from you." Blossom held out her nub. "Just... pretend I'm giving you the thumbs up k?"
Katrina smiled and laughed, as did the others, eventually it turned into a comedic fit.
"Okay... well it seems to be getting late, Katrina? Wanna stay over again?" Bubbles asked.
"Of course I'd love to."
"Then it's a sleepover!" Buttercup said happily.
(Back at the Observatory)
"Just got these last bit of repairs and... aha!" The jar containing the chimp brain crawled into the hole of the mountainous mech, activated the arm and pulled a lever on the side wall. It turned on a machine that just simply spat out many robots. "If I want the girls to hold onto their heroic reputation, I must have these henchbots cause mayhem! That is to say they will be committing all the felonies and crimes, not I! But still... I AM the one creating them so... all signs will still point to me, Mojo Jojo... Ugh... maybe I shouldn't. NO! I must! This is for the girls!" The robots led themselves into the storage unit and temporarily deactivated themselves. "Here's to hoping they understand why I'm doing this..."
Man... such an array of events have transpired these last few days... I wonder how this'll all blow over in the end? I guess we'll know soon enough...
"Ohohohoho~! Want me to tell you what will happen? I'll win obviously! Thanks to Abysmal's immense strength, I'll claim victory... so very easily~. AND THERE'S NOTHING THEY CAN DO ABOUT IT; ohohohoho! Ahahahahaha~!
