Chapter Twenty-Two: Next Phase
(Great wall, China)
Danny took a sip of his smoothie as he heard footsteps approach him. His guard was at each of the corners of his table watching as the Foreign One came closer. Following behind him were two bodyguards. One had dark hair, black horns and a single black sclera. The other had red hair and white horns. He doubted that they were the only ones his counterpart had brought. He was doing something similar. His Jaffa were only a few miles away on an Al'Kesh ready to attack if this showed signs of being a trap.
"Hello." The Foreign One said as he walked up to them. "Have you made a decision?"
The original had used their connection to look over the species that were available and detailed what he wanted.
"Yes." Danny said as he lifted the data pad for the Foreign One to take with telekinesis.
"You want the Irathient, Casthithan, Mimbari, Vulcan, Romulan, Bajoran, Tamaranian, and Twilek." The Foreign One said as he read down the scrolls.
"You sure are an ambitious man." The black-horned one said.
Danny glanced at him but before he could read his mind the Foreign One raised a hand.
"Please do not try to read the minds of my guard. If you have a question, ask and I will answer." The Foreign One said.
"Who are your guards?" Danny asked.
"The one with the black horns is Enedra and the one with white horns is Lamvanein. They come from the planet Aftokrator." The Foreign One said.
"Why did they come to work for you?" Danny asked.
"They are clones of the originals. I got samples of them after I helped them move from a planet that was dying to one that had a long life ahead of it." The Foreign One said.
"What a nice thing to do." Danny said wondering what this counterpart of his got out of it.
"I think so too." The Foreign One said.
"So will you take the deal?" Danny asked.
"Alright. I will give you the samples if you agree to give me information on the Stargate." The Foreign One said.
"Just to be sure you are not going to be selling this information in this universe, correct?" Danny asked. He did not need species outside the galaxy coming here dreaming of conquest. There was more than enough already.
"Correct. I only came here to get information on how the stargate was built. Once I have the information, I plan on leaving. I will be leaving my card so that if you wish to contact me again you can." The Foreign One said.
"Very well." Danny said as he put down a flash drive that once put in the data pad would download information about the chappa'ai.
"Good. Now let us gather the samples." The Foreign One said as he snapped his fingers.
A black portal opened up in front of them. As he looked inside of it, he could see what was probably the Foreign One's ship.
"What do you mean?" Danny asked.
"I mean come to my ship so we can give you the samples." The Foreign One said as he got up and started walking towards the portal.
"Very well." Danny said as he took a deep breath before getting up.
The moment he stepped through the ship he saw the portal close leaving his Jaffa behind.
"What?" Danny asked he turned to blast his counterpart.
"I mean no harm. I just want to make sure that your Jaffa are not going to cause problems on my ship. Look I left my two guards behind to show them what is happening to you right now." The Foreign One said.
"Welcome back captain. I take it that your meeting went well." A female voice said causing him to turn and look. She was a beautiful woman with brown hair and wearing a tight red track suit.
"Hello Rommie. It went well now we just need to finish the deal." The Foreign One said with a smile.
"That is good to hear." Rommie said with a smile.
While he was flirting with Rommie Danny decided to take a look around the ship. He placed his hand on the wall and used his power to gain a deeper understanding of the ship.
"That is very rude." Rommie said turning to him.
"I am sorry?" Danny asked as he turned to those two.
"Rommie is the avatar for the ship. She notices everything." The Foreign One said.
"Including your attempt to scan me." Rommie said.
'Just great.' Danny said.
"I can't help but be curious. This ship travels through universes." Danny said.
"The Crimson Dragon is an amazing ship." The Foreign One said.
The name sounded cool.
"What types of weapons do you have on this ship?" Danny asked.
"The ships uses photon torpedoes in usual circumstances." Rommie said.
"And in unusual circumstances?" Danny asked.
"In those types of situations, we use Nova bombs." Rommie said.
"What type of weapon is that?" Danny asked.
"It does what it sounds like. It destabilizes suns and wipes out solar systems." The Foreign One said.
'That is horrifying.' Danny thought. The most destructive weapons around now were basically on the level of a death star. A weapon able to blow up a single planet at a time. With a weapon like this he would be able to get rid of Ra and the other supreme system lords.
"Well let's go and gather your samples. Come along Rommie." The Foreign One said as he gestured down a hallway.
"How many decks do you have on this ship?" Danny asked feeling very similar to Sophie-Anne at the moment.
"There are seventy decks on the Crimson Dragon." The Foreign One said.
"The original design was sixty-three decks." Rommie said.
"The original?" Danny asked.
"This ship is based on the design of a warship named the Andromeda Ascent I came across in my travels." The Foreign One said.
"So why add the extra decks?" Danny asked as they took a turn and went to an elevator.
"I do not like uneven numbers." The Foreign One said.
"So why not sixty-four?" Danny asked.
"Seventy just seemed like the best number." The Foreign One said.
"I am not in a position to judge." Danny said.
"Do you have a favorite place on earth?" The Foreign One asked.
"Not yet. I am still exploring." Danny said.
"You should always make time to explore a place. You never know what you will find." The Foreign One said.
"Is that advice or a warning?" Danny asked.
"Bit of both. I love adventure but I also wanted to warn you." The Foreign One said.
"Warn me about what?" Danny asked.
"I am not the only one interested in this universe." The Foreign One said.
"What do you mean?" Danny asked wondering what else he would have to deal with.
"This universe is being infested with DNAliens." The Foreign One said as the reached their destination and the door opened.
"What are DNAliens?" Danny asked.
"They are a pest." Rommie answered as The Foreign One started walking.
They walked past a screen showing the planet earth below.
'Great. At least I know where I am now.' Danny thought.
"DNAliens are a hybrid species. They are created when a Xenocite takes over an individual. They work to accomplish the goals of their Highbreed masters." The Foreign One said.
"What is a Highbreed?" Danny asked.
"They are an alien species that believes their race is the best. The problem is that they are a mutliversal empire." The Foreign One said.
They walked through hallways until they came upon a sealed door. The Foreign One was scanned and the door opened revealing a medical laboratory. Standing inside was a woman with burgundy hair wearing a lab coat. She like Enedra had black horns on her head.
"Hello captain." The mysterious woman said.
"Hello Mira. How are you?" The Foreign One asked.
"Alright. I finished preparing the package." Mira said gesturing to a briefcase that was laying on the table.
"Thank you." The Foreign One said as he opened the briefcase to look inside. He closed it a second later and passed it towards him.
"You know I am going to open here first just in case?" Danny asked. There was always the chance that this was a bomb and so if he was going to activate it then it was going to be on his counterpart's ship.
"Go ahead." The Foreign One said.
He opened the case while closing his eyes expecting a bomb. When nothing happened, he looked inside the briefcase he saw a square device.
"Miniature technology?" Danny asked.
"Correct. I will be giving you the remote to restore it to proper size once you leave the ship along with information about the DNAliens." The Foreign One said.
"That is very helpful." Danny said surprised.
"I do not want us duplicates to fight each other. We all were once one person." The Foreign One said.
"I would like that." Danny said with a smile while not believing that for a moment.
"Captain." Rommie called out.
"What is it Rommie?" The Foreign One called out.
"We are getting close to the time of our next jump." Rommie said.
"Looks like it is time for us to part ways." The Foreign One said.
"Where are you going?" Danny asked as a black portal opened up for him.
"I am going to talk with the Viltrumite Empire." The Foreign One said.
"Who are they?" Danny asked never hearing of the term.
"Think of them as Kryptonians with the violent tendencies of the Saiyans." The Foreign One said.
"What?" Danny asked hoping that such a mixture did not exist in this universe.
"I know. I live a dangerous live. Rommie tell Asuka to start the engines." The Foreign One said.
As he heard the ship start to hum and feel energy pass through the ship Danny took that as a sign and so he stepped through the black portal. As he stepped out, he could see that his Jaffa were alone. Enedra and Lamvanein were gone.
"My king are you okay?" Na'them asked.
"I am very confused." Danny said admitting something the original never would otherwise. He just wanted to return back to Paris, hand over the case, and take a nice nap. The next duplicate could deal with this mess.
