Zexion woke up to find Vexen a human once more. He seemed to be talking to a caged red demon. Zexion sat up and started to listen to what was being said. Vexen started to sound aggravated.
"Then how about rocks hmmm? Are there rocks in the box", Vexen snapped.
The red being plainly told him no. "What in the world are you doing Vexen", Zexion asked getting up.
"Apparently this juju has access to a key to get us out of here", Vexen said impatiently.
Zexion then asked where they were. The red juju answered.
"You and your dull friend here are in the woodies dungeon.", It stated in a monotone ring. It then continued.
"Your friend was trying to guess what's in this box. Guess correctly and I'll give you two the key to the lift over there.", It finished.
Vexen gritted his teeth when he over heard the juju call him dull. In frustration he told Zexion to have fun with the demon's guessing game, and stomped off to sit away from the two of them. Zexion then though about it then started with some guesses. He started with his favorite things, books. The juju replied with a no. Then Zexion guessed another time,"Maybe some sacred rocks?"
He was then rewarded with the same response. He guessed other items but he was met with the same answer. Zexion huffed stumped with what it could possibly be. He looked to Vexen who was sitting to the far side with his back turned to them. Vexen caught Zexion glancing over to him with a confused look.
"Oh no don't even look at me I'm done with this. I'm a scientist not a genie you play twenty-one questions with", Vexen snapped. Zexion then truned back to the juju who seemed like he was neither displeased or enjoying the charade. Then Zexion got an idea.
"I got it... There's nothing in the box", he said confident. Vexen turned around as he heard what Zexion said. The juju then told him no again but Zexion was prepared for the decline of his answer. Vexen stepped up to Zexion knowing he had something up his proverbial sleeve. Zexion narrowed his look.
"I call your bluff", Zexion said pointing his finger to the box.
"It's not a bluff", the juju said his voice now tensing.
"Prove it", Zexion stern his tone. The juju stood up and tipped the box up and shook it down. From the box a large man came from it.
"LEXEAUS", both nobodies yelped.
"Who in the world that never was are you calling nothing you wind bag of hot air", Lexeaus scolded squeezing out of the juju's cage bars. Vexen gestured for them to start over to the lift that started to shift. Zexion wanting to rub it in the juju's face yelled back as he made his way to the platform.
"You know I could have gotten it right. I was starting to think maybe it was Lexeaus", he mocked. The juju snapped back with a no. As the three made it to the lift and got on Zexion then argued yes. The juju then retorted with two no. Zexion now in the heat of the argument replied with three yes. As the juju replied with more no Vexen who had just had it with the never ending yes and no debate snapped at the juju.
"We won you lost now put a cork in it you stubborn jack-ass," Vexen hollered. What ever the juju was going to say it was cut off by the lift entering a new area with noise that could be only identified as woodies possibly cheering. The three of them stood dumb stuck as they realized what was going to happen. Lexeaus looked to the two as they stood petrified like statues.
"Just think of this like we're at Olympus Coliseum. Just in stead of heartless and titans it's well... these things", Lexeaus said trying to reanimate his comrades. Both of them came back to reality and thought on what he said.
"Yeah you're right Lex", Zexion said readying himself. Vexen nodded and readied some ice spells he had been working on. The first few waves were easy enough. Lexeaus was able to wipe the first two waves with a single swing. But as the waves went on the woodies spawned in greater numbers and in greater strength. A woody they had never seen came out to the arena. It was huge compared to the other ones in fact it seemed to dwarf the basic woodies. Lexeaus's eyes lit up at the sight of such a challenger. Zexion took one look at it and trembled when ever it stepped closer.
"L-L-Lex what kind of woody is that", Zexion said tip-towing behind both him and Vexen. Lexeaus strained up and puffed his chest out to the woody while telling Zexion what breed of woody it was.
"Well my little friend this beast of a walking tree is called a woody warrior, and I'm finally gonna fight one of these fuckers", he said his grin getting bigger as the woody got closer. As it drew close it came swinging it's chained weapon around to intimidate the three "tribes men". Vexen was neither scared nor excited to see it. Even though it looked tall both Vexen and Lexeaus were not small men. The woody could not use it's size or girth to scare them. Vexen and the woody were just about eye level and Lexeaus had a few inches not just in height on it. Zexion on the other hand was much smaller and frail than the other two. Thought the woody didn't dwarf him it still had height and size on him. It saw this and made a b-line for him. As fast at its stump legs would move it charged for him. Vexen was in arms reach of him and grabbed Zexion out of the way of it's attack. The ground shook as it planted it's weapon in the ground where Zexion once stood. Lexeaus charged at its back while it struggled to re-clame it's weapon from the ground. With a thud the large woody fell back from the blow. However this also helped it free it's weapon. It got back up and turned to swing at Lexeaus who jumped back as to not get hit with the wheel of spikes that was on the end of the chain. It then turned to focused on Vexen who watched as it turned it's sights to him. With one of his signature creepy smiles Vexen held a blue glowing bottle in his hand. Once the woody moved all other defenses away from it's feet he launched the blue bottle at it. The bottle burst and ice immediately formed around its legs stopping it from moving. Taking the small window of time while it was confused and immobile, Lexeaus came at it's back again this time defeating it. The next few rounds were even harder with now a mix of woodies. The three had to get creative with how they fought. Then they brought catapults into the mix.
"do these things have an off button. I mean come on", Zexion complained at the sight of the catapult.
"I'm sure they'll be an end", Vexen said looking to Lexeaus for confirmation. He let out a sigh and looked at Vexen.
"I don't know it looks like they just keep coming. I think it's time for an escape plan", he said backing up to his friends. eventually the rounds were the same set up every time. Woodies with catapults and some smaller ones to couple them. Then Lexeaus hatched an idea though Zexion and Vexen may not like it. As they finished off most of the enemies Lexeaus told his friends of his plan. He asked Vexen to go into the fox form and take his place on Zexion's solders. Then he instructed for Zexion to get on the launching part of the catapult. As good as his plan was Zexion met it with resistances.
"What about you how are you going to get out of here", he said slightly upset. Lexeaus let out a long breath.
"Look Zexion you can't keep thinking about me, I do appreciate it but you need to look after you and Vexen. As you can see can take care of myself", he said in a sturn yet soft tone. Zexion went to rebuttable but was cut off by Lexeaus.
"Don't talk back to me get on the damn thing so you can get out of here", Lexeaus yelled growing impatient. Upset with his friend's decision Zexion gralred up at Lexeaus then ran to the catapult. He jumped into the launcher where they would put the ammo and waited to be launched. Zexion wouldn't even look at his friend as he walked over to set him and Vexen off. Vexen leaned over to see Zexion's pout.
"He wasn't trying to be cruel you know", Vexen said softly. Zexion turned his head from the fox. Without warning the catapult launched them up and out of the arena.
