The final bell at Hexside rang as Skara made her way out of her last class for the day. The gray haired girl placed her books in her locker and only took a few essentials that were coming home with her and placed them in her bag. She slung it over her shoulder and headed out of the front doors of the building. Instead of heading straight home as she had originally intended this morning, Skara slowly walked around to the schools sports field. As she walked, the girl pulled out a sheet of paper from her bag that she'd snagged from the school bulletin board that advertised tryouts for a replacement on the Banshees.

As the girl approached the field, the telltale sounds of the tryouts caught her attention. Just outside the field, the other two members of the team, Amelia and Cat stood waiting. The two looked just as displeased and uncomfortable with the situation as the approaching Skara. The two walked over to the bard student and met her halfway. "Skara, we tried but..." Amelia said as she attempted to find the correct words for the situation.

Skara only sighed before she responded. "I'll sort this out. Don't worry." She headed passed them as both still looked nervous.

"Come on, show at least a little hustle." She could hear the team captain chastise one of the hopefuls, if they could even be called that. By the time Skara rounded the corner she could see many of them fumbling through their tryouts. She then spotted her target as she currently had a palm to her face as she stood in front of Celine, the crescent headed girl doing her best to balance a ball between her horns. "Okay, what exactly am I supposed to be looking at here?" The triclops asked as she massaged her head.

"Boscha!" Skara got the girls attention as she marched over. "What's going on?"

"Just putting the hopefuls through the ringer and seeing if they have what it takes." Boscha said, a smirk on her face as she turned to watch the group do their best to impress her. "So far … not looking good."

"No, I mean why are you trying to fill my spot on the team?" Skara asked with concern in her voice.

Boscha simply turned to her and clasped her hands together. "It's simple, when you quit a team, that means there is one less person on it so I have to add a person to make it a full one again." The three-eyed girl said all of this in the most condescending tone possible while flashing a bright smile which unnerved her former teammate a bit before she recomposed herself.

"But I didn't quit!" Skara insisted.

Boscha chuckled a bit as she got closer to the girl and gently pinched her cheek. "Oh silly little Skara. I need team members who can fully commit and you've been just a bit distracted lately."

"Wait, is this about me going to join the Emerald Entrails?" Skara asked. "I can be on both teams. It won't be a problem." She reassured as the smile slowly faded from her friend's face.

"Oh it's definitely a problem." Boscha said bluntly.

Skara's eyes widened as she came to a realization. "This isn't about me being on the Flyer Derby team. It's about me being on Willow's team, isn't it?" Her accusation was all but confirmed as Boscha glared at her. "You're kicking me off the team just for that?!"

"You ditched me for those losers!" Boscha fired back.

"Don't call them that. And I didn't ditch you. I'm just playing for another team, too." Skara defended herself which only made the Banshees' captain even angrier.

"Not while I'm still team captain you're not." Boscha turned to head back to the other students.

"I thought we were passed all of this bullying stuff after the Grudgby match with Willow. She and the others have been really great to me and I like playing with them. Why can't you get that?" Skara's question caused the red haired girl to stop in her tracks and turn around to aggressively march towards her again.

"What Skara? Get what?!" Boscha demanded to know.

Skara stood silent for a moment as she cast her gaze to the ground. "You're my friend, Boscha. I've known you since we were little. But so are they now. After all the mocking and pushing them around, they accepted me. I like just hanging out with Willow and Viney and Gus. They're willing to put the past behind them and let bygones be bygones. All I'm asking is for you to understand and give them a chance, because I want to be friends with all of you and maybe we could all be friends."

Boscha stood in front of her for what seemed minutes as her face softened. It didn't take long, however for her to scowl at the girl as she responded to her heartfelt words. "I would rather stand in boiling rain and watch the flesh be stripped from my bones." This response caused Skara to tense up as small tears began to form in her eyes. She surprised Boscha as she stared up at the girl with eyes filled with a newfound determination before she turned and walked away.

"Skara! Get back here right now or we are through, do you here me?" Boscha ordered, pointing to the spot right in front of her. The dominating attitude like a charm as the bard student stopped in her tracks and looked over her shoulder.

"I'm your friend, Boscha. I always have been, through everything; the bullying, the insults, the ordering others around I put up with it all because I know deep down there's something good there. But please, don't make me have to choose between you and them … because you may not like the answer you get." She turned her head forward and kept on walking, leaving a bewildered Boscha in a fixed position as she did the only thing she could think of.

"You're finished, Skara! You hear me? You always were pathetic! Now you're right where you belong with those losers!" If the tirade was affecting Skara, she didn't show it in her body language as she kept the same pace and was soon out of sight. Boscha shifted her gaze slightly as Amelia and Cat had seen and heard the entire ordeal and both looked none too pleased with the captain, with Cat shaking her head in disapproval.

"What are you two looking at?" Boscha asked furiously as the two soon followed Skara's lead and exited. "Where do you think you're going? Come back! That's an order! I'm the captain of this team. You have to do what I say!" She screamed at the top of her lungs as she watched her team or rather former team vanish from the field. The girl breathed heavily as her mind raced at the betrayal of not only Skara but now apparently Amelia and Cat as well. Her little project couldn't be completed fast enough.

"Um..." Her thoughts were cut short as she turned to see Celine struggling as two balls had become pierced on her horns and she did her best t get them off. "I don't mean to interrupt but I don't think I'm doing this right." She said sheepishly as Boscha released a gargantuan sigh and went over to help her. This was gong to be another one of those days. Amity turned on her, Skara turned on her and now the old Banshees had fallen apart. Her third eye began to twitch slightly as she aided the moon headed girl as she contemplated the possibility that this was going to be her new team.
