"So, how did the meeting go with Cat Grant?" The Queen Mother had asked her only daughter.
"It went unremarkably. She was surprisingly efficient with her line of questioning. The news feed from Earth shows "The Word was spread" according to Agent Danvers." The blonde replied, dabbing her face with her napkin. They had just sat down for dinner and to Lena's surprise, spoke in English since the first time she sat down at their long and white table. Was that The Princess' doing? Lena continued to listen to their conversation flow freely, as if they were unaware of the Terran in their space. She continued to eat, her jade eyes flicking between the two. Her place at the table was across from the blonde Kryptonian. The Queen mother sat at the head, Kara to her right, Lena to her left, and Kal-El to Kara's right.
"Lena Luthor, you found a tutor to teach you our language, is that right?" The two pronged fork froze mid-air halfway to Lena's lips. She cleared her throat and lowered her utensil. She might stab the Queen, 'accidentally' if she were startled by sudden movements. Or just movements. It didn't matter. Lena first, Queen second.
"Yes, Kal-El has a cousin on his mother's side who teaches me. Korj-Van. He is strict, but good." Lena said, her face unintentionally heating up from their last lesson when she asked him for sex. His laugh still echoed in her ears.
"I am happily married, Terran. Thank you but no." If Lena could, she would have stuck her entire foot in her mouth. Unfortunately, that wasn't possible. She cleared her throat.
"My biggest issue is proper pronunciation. Many of your words, if not pronounced properly, mean completely different things. I have found this out the hard way."
Lena was finally alone in their chambers. The Princess had other matters to attend to. A Kelex unit had informed her of the blonde's late arrival. Lena hated being in this room by herself. She had always felt she intruded on Kara's space. When Lena stepped over the threshold to the room, and turned to the bed area, she saw something foreign on her bed. It was a sphere. She recognized the Princess fiddle with it on her desk. She had been tinkering with it for many weeks now. Lena dared not to touch it. It was personal to the blonde. She kept it on her bedside table before the tinkering began. The Princess was up late many nights recently. She supposed it was damaged and the blonde was repairing. It obviously meant a lot to the Kryptonian and Lena let it be.
The sky began to darken to its maroon color. The only light emanating in the chambers was the datacrystal that Lena read from at the desk. Kara turned towards the bed, seeing the puzzle globe remained untouched. She opened her mouth a few times before turning to the raven-haired beauty. Her hair cascaded down her back. A sight that The Princess found herself fantasizing about. How would her raven mane feel as it creeped down the Princess' body, creating a curtain where the blonde craved to be touched by her? She shook her head, forcing the intrusive thoughts from her mind. Lena deserved more than her carnal urges.
"Lena, you left the puzzle globe on your bed. Did you not try to solve it?" The Princess inquired. Lena jumped. She did not hear the door. Lena swiveled in the chair by the desk, green eyes widened briefly, before they flickered over towards the bed.
"It is a personal item of yours, Princess. I wouldn't have done it without your express permission." Kara's pink lips twitched at the corners. A smile, Lena recognized.
"Consider this my express permission, Lena." She turned to the giant en suite bathroom. The door slid to the side. Lena approached her bed to retrieve the globe. Her fingers barely encased it before the blonde tossed over her shoulder. "And stop calling me Princess please. We are equal. You will be Princess soon as well." The door slid shut and Lena could hear the rustle of her robes as the water began to flow from the showhead. Lena briefly wondered what the blonde looked like under her robes. Do Kryptonians have similar physiology to humans? Were they different? Lena knew from the jeans that Kara wore to Earth that she was fit. Those jeans hugged her like a glove designed to curve around the blonde. She wanted to curve herself around her too, but Lena couldn't. She didn't know how the blonde felt. Let alone if she felt anything at all. The entire time Lena thought, she twisted the globe around. It was like a spherical rubix cube. Soon, the lights lined up, and the ball exploded with lights. All around Lena were constellations, planets, the two stars. Lena recognized Krypton. It was a holograph of their star system.
"I cannot give you the world, but this is the next best thing, I believe. I wish we did not have to be forced, but there is no one I would rather be here with." Lena spun to see the blonde, her wet hair falling in loose ringlets around her. The Princess was in her nightwear robes and looked absolutely stunning with her face pink from the warm water. Maybe even a little embarrassment, judging by her expression. The closer The Princess came, the more apparent the stars reflected in her cerulean eyes became. It was cosmic and it was divine.
"Kara." Lena breathed. The blonde paused. She wished for this moment. The moment her name spilled from Lena's full lips. It wasn't exactly how she imagined it, but this was them and it was perfect. They stood a hair's breadth away, Kara could feel the Terran's chest rise and fall slowly. If she focused hard enough, maybe she could hear her heartbeat. Maybe. Lena moved her hand, taking the blonde's in her own. Again, Lena marveled at the size difference. Her fingers were long and graceful, soft. They were impossibly soft. She felt the fingers of the blonde curl around hers, enveloping her hand in a subtle sense of security. Her hands were strong, graceful, deadly under the right circumstances.
"Lena, I-" The Princess cut herself off, instead, moving forward slowly, allowing the Terran time to back away. She did not and their lips met in a glorious, time escaping embrace. Lena's hand tangled in blonde tresses, her fingernails gently grazing the scalp of the Princess. Kara moaned. It was a foreign sensation to her, but it was enjoyable. She wrapped her arms around Lena, together they stood in the center of all these constellations, with Krypton above their heads locked in an intimate embrace, lips moving slowly, heart rates rising and rising. Before they knew it, they both needed air, and Lena pulled back, resting her forehead against Kara's. The kiss felt infinite. It opened many doors, many opportunities.
"Lena, I do not know when it happened, but I began to imagine the life we will have. Growing old, being together, our children, grandchildren. I began to imagine you and me together. Please. Tell me I am not alone in this. Tell me this is what you want too." By the time the blonde finished, she felt a sting behind her eyes. Tears?
"I do. I want everything, Kara." Lena whispered, her voice no louder than the breath of wind that blew the whistling flowers. "I want three children. Two girls, one boy. I want to name one Lara, after Kal-El's mother, and Alura. I want to name our son, Korj. I hope for many grandchildren, I hope they all find love, I hope they love us. I want to teach them to play the piano. I want to have a dog and potatoes. I wish for us a long life, a long harmonious reign. I want it all with you." Lena's voice cracked at the end, her lips rushing to Kara's in a rather chaste kiss, before kissing her chin, and nose.
"I hope they look like you, Kara." She whispered. Kara laughed, a genuine smile crinkled the corners of her eyes.
"I hope they have your eyes." The Princess whispered back. The puzzle globe's light extinguished as Kara picked up Lena effortlessly, depositing the raven-haired woman with a startled gasp on the blonde's bed. The globe had fallen onto the floor and rolled under the Kryptonian's bed as giggles turned into moans.
