Prompt: "You and me - movie night."
It was ridiculous actually. Aubrey shook her head as she watched, yet again, Chloe and Beca staring into each other's eyes, then the redhead looking awkwardly away and stuttering something to ease the obvious sexual tension between them.
"Red needs to make a move," Fat Amy stated as she realized where her friend was looking.
"She won't," Aubrey sighed. "She thinks she's too old for Beca."
Amy made a high-pitched humming sound as she waggled her hand. "Beca's nineteen already, right?"
"Yeah, but she's a freshman and Chloe's a senior. She feels like she'd be cradle robbing."
"Bullshit," the Australian woman laughed. "They only have eyes for each other. Can Chloe not see that Beca likes her?"
"I've tried telling her but... you know Chloe. Once she makes up her mind about something..."
Amy chuckled then. "I think I might have an idea to give them a little push." She saw that Beca's attention had been pulled away from Chloe by another partygoer, so she sidled up to her friend and bumped shoulders with her. "You and me; movie night," she stated. "That romcom you wanted to see started today, so we can go tomorrow night."
"Cool," Chloe smiled, gesturing with her solo cup. "It's a date!"
"Cool," Amy echoed. "Seven o'clock. I have to go somewhere beforehand, so I'll meet you there." Then she went to implement part two of her plan.
"Hey, Shawshank," she said, finding Beca in the kitchen fishing a beer out of an ice-filled cooler.
"Hi, Amy," the brunette smiled.
"You and me; movie night," the Australian replied. "Tomorrow night."
Beca sighed aggrievedly. "You know I don't really like movies, Ames."
"No arguments. It's a horror and none of the other Pitches will go with me 'cos they say they're too scared. But you don't get scared of stuff like that."
Dark blue eyes rolled. "Fine, I'll go with you. What time?"
"Awesome! Movie's at seven. I have to go somewhere beforehand, so I'll meet you there."

The next day, Chloe didn't see Beca. Their schedules, between Beca's work at the college radio station and Chloe's job as a barista, clashed so they didn't get an opportunity to talk. Chloe was disappointed that she couldn't say goodnight before she left to meet Amy for the movie, but she planned to ask Beca if she wanted to get coffee the next morning. Her resolve to stay away from the younger woman was getting hard to maintain.
Beca got out of her Uber and ambled through the foyer of the movie theater while she waited for Amy to arrive. She looked at the posters for upcoming features, rolling her eyes at some of the titles as she wandered past them.
Then a flash of red hair caught her eye, and she was utterly surprised to see Chloe on the other side of the large space, obviously waiting for someone. Beca wondered if she had a date and debated whether to talk to her or not, but her desire to always be near Chloe won out and she smiled as the older woman noticed her arrival.
"Hey, I didn't know you were seeing a movie tonight," the redhead said. Then she frowned. "Wait, you hate movies. Why are you here?"
Beca laughed softly. "Amy. There's some horror movie she wanted to see and no one else would go with her so she told me to be here at seven."
Chloe blinked. "Um... Amy asked you to go to a horror movie tonight? Really?"
"Yeah... why?" Beca asked, curious as to the reason behind her friend's reaction.
"Well, it's just... she and I were supposed to be seeing a romcom together tonight. When did she ask you?"
"Last night, at the party," the brunette answered. "When did she ask YOU?"
"Last night, at the party," Chloe sighed.
They looked away from each other and Chloe hiked her purse up higher on her shoulder. They were both silent for a long moment. Then Beca cleared her throat. "Amy totally engineered this so we'd end up on a date together, didn't she." It wasn't really a question.
"Oh totes, one hundred percent," Chloe agreed immediately, nodding firmly.
The brunette chuckled softly. "But... like... that'd be crazy, right? 'Cos..." She trailed off as she met Chloe's light blue eyes.
"'Cos..." Chloe agreed, holding the eye contact. But then she felt something break inside her as her mind went to the thought of Beca actually dating someone else. "Um... unless it... isn't... crazy?" she tentatively added.
Beca swallowed. "Honestly, Chlo, I got the impression that you weren't interested in me, so I didn't push."
The redhead shook her head. "It's not that I'm not interested, Becs... I'm just... I'm a bit older than you, and I didn't want to... um..."
But she stopped talking as Beca's hands landed on her hips and she pressed their bodies together. "I know I'm small, but I'm not a kid."
The look in her eyes made Chloe swallow this time and she nodded dumbly for a few moments. "Ok," she said then. "Beca Mitchell, would you like to go on a date with me?"
The brunette smiled. "Chloe Beale, would you like to go on YOUR date with me?"
"You'll watch a romcom with me?" Chloe blurted, utterly shocked.
"I'll watch a romcom... FOR you," Beca replied, and the older woman's heart melted into a puddle of goo. Then Chloe gave in to her heart's desire and kissed Beca gently on the lips, offering her a promise of what was to come. Beca smiled into the kiss as she returned it. "I wish we weren't in the middle of a movie theater foyer."
Chloe giggled softly. "There's always the back row of the theater, Becs. We should get the tickets."
"Yeah, I don't care which movie it is," the brunette grinned. "As long as I'm with you."
And as they headed for the kiosk, Aubrey and Amy high-fived each other in their hiding spot next to the concession stand.
