Chapter Six

Welcoming Gift

"There we go. All better now." Recovery girl said after retracting her lips from off of Heather's left part of her face as the green aura around the bunny girl's body vanished. "Glad that the blast marks you got from Bakugo weren't serious given the state you were in yesterday." She said as Heather examined her body a bit before looking at Recovery Girl. "Now I only treated the areas that you were hurt, the rest of your body needs time to recover naturally given the surgery I had to do on you."

"Surgery!?" Mineta yelled, taken by surprise by hearing this.

"It was mainly to make sure the infections in her wrist, ankles, and neck didn't spread. Thanks to her quirk though, I was able to treat the infected areas. But that still doesn't mean she's fully recovered from it." She said before handing Heather a lollipop as she takes it and begins to suck on it. Heather lets out a satisfying moan of pleasure upon getting the taste of cherry from the candy. "She can walk around, move, and train a bit if allowed. But she can't do anything rough or extensive that could open the wounds on her body. It's the reason why she looks like a mummy for the most part."

"How long do I have to keep the bandages on me?" Heather asked as Recovery Girl went back to her seat next to her.

"I say about a month. The bandages I provide for her have a natural healing agent to help speed things up for the open bite marks, bruises from blunt objects, and but marks. You were in pretty bad shape when they brought you in. All you have to do is just rest and recover. You'll be back to your normal self in no time."

"Thank you...and I'm sorry for leaving."

"Oh, it's quite alright dear. You were just scared and didn't know where you were. It's only natural that you would leave like that. Now run along you two. School is about to be over and I believe Heather's supposed to meet with someone outside in the front of the school?"

"R-Right!" Heather said as she and Mineta quickly left the room and began to make their way down the hallway.

"Well that went better than expected." Mineta said before looking up at Heather. "How are you holding up?"

"Other than the amount of anxiety I'm feeling in the pit of my stomach, crippling fear that I might be bullied, ostracized by other students to where they'll leave me alone, and possible death threats from teachers and students alike...other than that, I'm doing fine." She said before starting to make her way down the hallway with Mineta following after her.

"Hey now. I'm sure once everyone gets to know you tomorrow, I'm sure they won't think of you as that...Well I know my classmates won't think of you as a villain or threaten you...well besides Bakugo."

"It still shocks me that he's a student in this school. How did he even get into this place with a personality like that?"

"Well from what I heard, he did an excellent job taking down the robots in the entrance exam. Though it surprised me that you froze him in ice like that."

"I didn't mean to do that to him on purpose. It just sorta happened when my quirk activated by itself the moment he was dragging me to who knows where."

"Yeah, Bakugo's doesn't do well when it comes to trying to understand certain situations. He should've spoken to you in english if he knew you couldn't speak Japanese. So you can't blame yourself for what you did."

"True...but I get the feeling that he's going to be coming after me a lot...or worse, I might end up having to fight him." She said as Mineta noticed her skin color turning pale.

"I'm sure you'll be fine. Mr. Aizawa isn't that hard of a teacher to have you fight against Bakugo. Besides, if he tries to come after, just come to me and we'll use Operation Honey Bunny on him like before!" Mineta sticks out his chest to try and act manly as Heather giggled slightly from the way he's acting.

"I'll be sure to do that if that does happen...Um...Thanks."

"For what?"

"For helping out with Bakugo, and with the meeting with Nezu. I don't think I couldn't have lasted this long without your help. I'm forever in your debt. If you need me for anything, um. Just let me know and I can try to help. After all, we're friends now...right?" Mineta mentally grinned upon hearing this, and was about to say something to that. But stops upon seeing her smiling at him, which caused him to have a somewhat mental block on that perverted idea he had and chose not to do anything with it. Though he would pause upon hearing her call him a friend

"We're...friends?"

"Well yeah. You did help me and gave me your lunch. So wouldn't that classify that we're best friends?"

"Well. Y-Yeah...I'm just surprised that you would be willing to be friends with me...given my...reputation."

"What reputation?" She asked as Mineta awkwardly laughed.

"Um, let's just say...I'm not well liked among certain girls of this school and leave it at that."

"I don't really understand what that means, but okay!" Heather said as the two exit from the school. Upon making their way outside, Heather looked around to see if her guardian was anywhere in the area. "Didn't Nezu say that my Guardian was waiting for me outside?"

"Yeah, but I don't see them around-"

"Ha-Hahahahahahaha!" Yelled a manly deep voice as the two looked around to see where the laughter was coming from. They soon heard something crash a few feet in front of them as it caused a dust to erupt in the place that whatever it was that landed. The dust cloud began to vanish as it would soon reveal All-Might standing there with a smile on his face while standing with his hands to his hips. "It's about time you got here Heather! I was beginning to think that you got lost again in the school." Heather lets out a loud scream upon seeing All-Might as she quickly hid behind Mineta by ducking behind him while holding on to his shoulders.

"Whoops...I went a little bit so far with the dramatic entry didn't I?" He asked as Mineta nodded before turning his attention on to the cowering bunny girl.

"It's alright. He's not going to hurt you Heather." He said which caused Heather to look up Mineta.

"W-Who is t-that man? He looks like Arnold Schwarzenegger if he was a going blonde and tanned a lot." She said which caused Mineta to laugh before covering his mouth so that All-Might didn't hear him laugh.

"H-He's A-All-Might. The world's greatest hero, and one of the teachers that work here in U.A." He said as Heather looked at All-Might up and down for a moment before realizing who he was.

"Hey, I've seen him before. He was in the hallway talking to that mummy man."

"Mummy man...Oh you mean Mr. Aizawa?"

"That's the person you mention...what happened to him?" She asked which caused Mineta to awkwardly look away from her.

"It was due to the villains attacking the USJ building…" He said which caused Heather to blink before realizing that he might end up to be one of the teachers that might not trust her. She then noticed it was getting dark as she looked up to see All-Might standing in front of Mineta as his shadow was casting over the two.

"Worry not Young Heather. Nezu informed me along with the other teachers about the situation you're in." He said before striking dramatic poses. "A young girl, taken from her family by villainous villains at such a young age. Forced to suffer hardship by the kidnapper, but was able to escape from the clutches of evil with your newly awakened quirk! On behalf of the hero society! I'm very sorry that you had to experience it!" He said before bowing down apologetically. Heather slowly pulled herself up from behind Mineta as she awkwardly rubbed her right arm.

"N-No need to apologise. It's not like it was your fault or anything." She said before clearing her throat. "I-Is there a reason you're here Mr. All-Might?"

"Oh right, almost forgot. Until we can find out more about you, you will be living in the dorms that we're planning to have the students to live in later on. Seeing how you'll be staying here, I took it upon myself to be your guardian until we can locate your parents or someone in your family!"

"Wait so you'll be looking after her?" Mineta asked as All-Might nodded with a thumbs up.

"I'll be checking in on you from time to time when I'm not busy with teaching or saving the day being a super cool hero in town. Tomorrow will be your first day in school. I'll be looking forward to seeing how well you progress if you choose to stay with us in U.A High. If not, then we'll provide you with whatever it is that you need to get you started on your life in whatever field you want to go into."

"Oh, um. T-Thank you very much...you wouldn't happen to know where my dorm room is, do you?"

"I'll take you there!" He said before motioning her to follow. Before Heather could follow after All-Might, she looked over at Mineta with a smile on her face.

"I'll see you tomorrow, right?"

"Totally! I am your guide after all." He answered before starting to make his way past her and All-Might. "Seeya till then!" With that, Mineta walked off into the direction of the school gate and exited as he went home. The bunny girl waved goodbye to Mineta before following after All-Might. As they began to make their way to the dorms, All-Might spoke up as it caused Heather to focus her attention on him.

"I know Nezu already told you this. But a lot of the students and some of the teachers don't really trust you as of yet. Of course I don't think you're a villain or anything. But the others, not so much. So don't take it personal if they give you the cold shoulder or anything." He said before looking over at her. "Don't be afraid to come to me or Nezu if someone is causing you trouble here. Okay?"

"R-Right…"

"I know you're new to the world given what happened. It might be scary at first, but over time I know you'll muster up the courage to be able to brave this new world. And I'll try my best to support you as best I can." All-Might said as he strikes a dramatic pose of confidence. "Because you have the world's symbol of peace to look after you!" Heather stares at him for a moment as she quickly covers her mouth due to how corny he was acting. "Now then, some ground rules. No leaving the campus under any circumstances unless I or a teacher is with you, no fighting within the school ground unless you're training in the training course room, no using your quirk in school or outside unless you're put into a situation where you need to use it to escape from someone trying to hurt you, and you're free to walk around the school after school is over to see if you can join any after school activities."

"Um, okay...what about food?"

"I took it upon myself to fill your refrigerator with food for tonight. Stop by the lunchroom and talk to a man named Lunch Pass. He'll provide you with what you need if you run out of food in the dorm. He'll even teach you how to cook if you want it?"

"That...might be helpful. Mainly because I know I'll need to learn how to cook later on in my life."

"Haha! That's what I love to hear!" He said as they would be in front of a large building. "Here we are. Welcome to your dorm." All-Might walks up to the double doors of the building and opens it. Heather quickly covered her eyes due to the bright light that erupted from the inside. Her eyes slowly began to adjust to the light as she noticed a nicely lit room filled with couches, tables, and a TV off to the side. Heather's eyes widen in amazement upon seeing this room as she enters into the building as she examines it.

"Wow, this place looks totally rad! This looks like the movie I saw where a rich dude invites his not rich friends because he enjoys hanging out with his friends." She said before stepping inside as she lets out a sigh of relaxation from how comfortable the carpet felt underneath her feet. "It's like I'm walking on a cloud, if it was made out of carpet~!"

"Oh right, you don't have any shoes." He said while watching her roll around on the carpet like a dog, which he couldn't help but find it cute. "I'll drop off a present here before heading off on patrol for tomorrow morning. Your room is down the hall to your right with your name on it, I even left you a little present in there as well that you might enjoy." He said before turning around to leave. "Tomorrow's a big day Young Heather! Be sure to get some rest and eat! And remember to go beyond!" All-Might squats down for a moment before launching himself into the air and into the distance outside of the school."PLUS ULTRA!"

"Um...okay...Thanks, I guess." Heather said after watching him fly off as she pulled herself up and closed the door. Once she was alone, she began to make her way to her room while looking around the inside interior of the building she's in. She had to edmite, compared to the basement she was in for ten years. This place was like paradise...for the most part. It was a bit unsettling that she was the only one girl in this building. She wouldn't mind maybe having other people stay here, but she didn't have much of a choice in this matter. Especially if they didn't like here like Nezu and All-Might said given how she ended up in U.A. High School. The bunny girl lets out a sigh before stopping in front of her room and placing a hand on the doorknob.

"Maybe getting some sleep with help calm my nerves, or something." As Heather opened the door, the smell of food burst from behind the door as she noticed multiple study plastic plates on a small table that had different types of food, ranging from fried foods like fried shrimp, squid, and tofu to grilled catfish, beef, and fried rice. Her mouth began to water from seeing the spread of food on the small table as she was about to quickly dig into the food, only to notice a small piece of paper hanging from a balloon in the middle of the room. She walked over to it and began to read it.

"Dear Young Heather

You've been through a lot today, and with all that running you might have worked up an appetite because of it. So I went out to get you something to eat that you might like while you were in Recovery Girl's office getting patched up after Bakugo attacked you. Worry not about Young Bakugo, he'll be severely punished for breaking the rules of using your quirk outside of training. I hope you like it and I hope you'll consider joining the next generation of heroes we're raising. Until then. Stay safe, be positive, and GO BEYOND! PLUS ULTRA!

Heather stared at the sheet of paper for a moment as she felt tears rolling down her face. Once again, this is the second time someone offered her kindness and generosity something that she wasn't expected to receive from...well...anyone during her time on the streets of Japan. She tried her best to calm herself as she sat down at the table to dig into her food. Upon taking a bite out of the fried shrimp, the dame that was holding back her tears burst open as she began to try while eating the meal given to her by All-Might.
