Chapter Thirteen

Nightmare

"Well, so far she doesn't seem to have any problems from eating part of Mineta's ball-like hair. But why on earth would you do something like that?" Recovery girl asked as Heather shrugged.

"His hair smelled like grapes. So I figure if it smells like grapes, it must taste like it!" She said as Jiro tried her best not to burst out laughing. Recovery Girl let out a sigh of disappointment as she handed Heather a cherry-flavored lollipop to suck on. While the bunny girl was busy enjoying her candy, Recovery Girl looked over at Jiro as she walked over to the teen girl.

"Do keep an eye on her, and make sure she doesn't do anything like this again. I prefer not to have her hurt or anything like that."

"I-I'll be sure to do that ma'am," Jirou said as the elderly lady smiled and turned her attention onto Heather.

"As for you, young lady. You are free to go. Do try and not make it a habit of coming to my office."

"Um...okay. I'll try my best not to do that...I think?" She said as Jiro motioned for Heather to follow her out of the room. The moment they were outside, Jiro looked over at her with a somewhat baffled expression on her face. "Is something wrong?"

"His hair smelled like grapes and you decided to taste it?"

"Well yeah. I mean his hair is made out of candy….right?" Heather asked as it caused Jirou to stare at her for a moment before pondering the question.

"I mean...I don't think it's candy...though it is sticky and gives off a rather fruity smell…. that's not the point! You can't just do something like that. What if that causes stomach problems for you, or worse?"

"I….never really thought about that. But it all worked out in the end, right?"

"Just…be more careful. Don't want you to end up in Recovery Girl's office…again."

"Got it. I'll do my best not to let something like that happen again." Heather said as Jiro gave her a small smile before continuing their walk to the dorms. The moment they turned the corner, Heather and Jiro paused upon seeing Aizawa in front of them. His gaze was locked onto Jiro for a moment before looking over at Heather, who quickly looked away from him.

"Is there a reason why you're not in your room, kid?"

"I-I…um."

"I had to take her to Recovery Girl…she kind of ate a piece of Mineta's hair," Jiro said, which took Aizawa by surprise.

"...Is there a reason as to why she would do that?"

"His hair smelled like grapes…so I figured it tasted like them too…which it did," Heather said, giving him a weak chuckle as he deadpanned at her. "R-Recovery Girl said I was fine though, just told me not to do that again." Upon hearing this, Aizawa let out a sigh of disappointment before walking past the two. The moment he was out of earshot, Heather spoke up. "I…get the feeling he doesn't like me, does he?"

"Give him time, I'm sure he along with others will see you as less of a threat to them than you are to yourself."

"H-Hey, I'm not a threat to myself…at least I don't think I am."

"You ate one of Mineta's balls."

"I-I'm fine aren't I?"

"Doesn't help your case…on second thought, it might help your case," Jirou said as she placed a hand on her chin. "Though in doing so would put you in the same category as Kaminari when it comes to not being so smart, but in your case, you were kind of forced to be this way."

"And that's good…right?" Heather asked as Jirou waved a hand sideways.

"Let's just focus on your training before worrying about your reputation."

"Right! I'll do my best!" Heather said they appear in front of the doors that lead outside to the dorm rooms.

"Think you can make it back to your dorm room?"

"I think so. I mean it's not too far from a distance from here to there."

"Alright, I'll be heading home. Stay safe, okay?" Jirou said as the bunny girl nodded. The young girl gave Heather a small smile before heading off home. The moment Jirou was out of sight, Heather made her way outside and towards her the door of the dorms. Today was…somewhat okay in Heather's book of a normal day. Well as normal as it could be for a school full of superheroes. But it was rather interesting and fun. Especially now that she made some friends in class, so another achievement in her book of…something. But at least she has a goal in mind. Train her butt off and prove she can join the sports festival.

Heather's eyes slowly began to open as she soon found herself in a room full of toys, video games, and old VHS tapes of cartoon shows from the nineties. It didn't register to the girl as to where she was for a moment before it did. She found herself in the room of the man that kidnapped her ten years ago. She slowly began to hyperventilate from the memories of being in this room. The constant beating, blacking out from the food she was given, and waking up naked and sore, the consequences of not following his orders.

"No….no, no, no, no, no, no." She said as she tried to pull herself up, but couldn't for some reason. Looking down she saw that her wrists and ankles had shackles and chains. This caused her to hyperventilate even more as she tried to take them off her wrist and ankles. Tears rolled down her face as she looked around the room to see if there was a means to escape. To her surprise, there was a staircase leading to what she could guess was upstairs. She quickly began to rush towards the staircase to freedom, but soon felt herself being pushed onto the floor. Heather looked over her shoulder to see who it was. All she saw was a shadowy figure with its foot. The figure showed off its vampire-like teeth before putting more force onto Heather's back before kicking her in her ribcage and sending her tumbling to the side. She let out a gasp of pain upon hitting the wall and began to let out a coughing fit.

"Thought you could get away from me, huh!?" The figure asked as it made its way over to Heather before stomping on her head. "It took me a while to figure out where you were. Did you think you could hide in that stupid school?"

"P-Please…D-Don't-" Before Heather could finish pleading for the figure to stop, she felt herself being picked up by her throat. She lets out a gasp of air as she struggles within its grip before feeling herself being thrown across the room again, only this time she hits the door that leads to their private room.

"I'm going to enjoy breaking you all over again. Only this time, I made sure you won't get away," it said while slowly walking over to Heather. "I should've cut off your hands and feet when I first found you, but then again I didn't take into account that you had a quirk. Welp, lesson learned on my part." It said before pulling out a sharp butcher's knife from its body and kneeling towards Heather with the blade pointing at her shoulder. "You, on the other hand, need a crash course on how to learn your lesson."

All Heather could do was stare at the figure in fear as she continued to hyperventilate before feeling the figure grab her by the arm and slam it on the floor. Once on the floor, she felt the blade of the bone saw pressed against her wrist. Her eyes widened in fear upon feeling this as she looked over at her wrist, then at the figure as she noticed a sadistic grin on its face. The figure stood up as it placed a foot on Heather's arm that it slammed as it pressed the blade against her wrist.

"I'm going to make sure you never disobey me ever again. Starting by cutting off your hands and feet!" It said as Heather began to frantically struggle to break free from his grip, but all it did was cause the figure to put more pressure on her arm. It grinned in excitement from seeing Heather's frantic state as it brought the blade up above its head. "You belong to me now! No one else, my dear little pet!" It said as brought the blade down upon her wrist.

"STOP!" Heather yelled as her quirk activated, coating the entire room she was in with ice. The young girl stared in shock and fear as to what just happened as the blade was inches away from cutting her handoff. She tried once again to pull her arm off from underneath the figure's foot, but in doing so caused the frozen figure to fall backward and shattered into pieces along with the knife it was holding. "Oh god, I didn't mean for that to happen."

"Monster!" said a mysterious voice as Heather soon found herself being surrounded by more shadowy figures.

"I knew she was a villain. Only villains would kill someone like that."

"Lock her away so she'll never hurt anyone."

"N-No, it was an accident. I-I didn't mean-" Heather said but was cut off by the voices as the figures moved in closer.

"Murderer!"

"Villain!"

"Scum of the earth!"

"Your parents should be ashamed of themselves!"

"Please, listen to me-!"

"Someone take this monster away before she hurts more people!"

"I knew she was a spy from the league of villains!"

"Kill her!" The voices continued to echo throughout the darkness she was now in. Tears continued to roll down her face as she lowered herself into a fetal position and covered her ears to try and block out the voice. The voices continued to repeat the same words over and over again. Kill her, villain, monster, murderer. Rage began to fill her chest, the same rage she felt towards the person that kidnapped her all those years again. She gritted her teeth in rigorous anger as she was about to tell the shadowy figures to shut up, but couldn't as the anger she felt quickly vanished and fear filled her heart as she saw a demon version of Bakugo heading towards her. She quickly turned around as she tried to escape, but she soon felt her legs sinking into the darkness below her. She started screaming, begging, and asking for someone to help her, but to no avail as hands began to reach for her body and started to pull her down quickly.

Within a matter of seconds, her head was the only thing left standing as the hands slowly pulled her down. She could feel the black liquid filling up her mouth and suffocating her from breathing. She tried one more time with whatever strength she had in her reach for the demon that looked like Bakugo, but all it did was smack her hand away before watching her sink into the darkness. Before her vision faded she could see the shadowy figure of the person that kidnapped her grinning in delight as she faded into darkness.

Heather's eyes shot open once the dream ended as she shot up from her bed while screaming and panting in fear. She quickly looked around the room she was in to see that she was still in U.A High School. Upon seeing that she was still in her room that the school gave her, she lets out a sigh of relief before collapsing back onto her bed with a small chuckle.

"I-It was just a dream…just a dream." She said before wiping some of the sweat from off her forehead, only to notice that she was still wearing the quirk canceling cuffs on her wrist. "... wish I didn't have to wear these…but I guess it would make sense given how I have no control over my quirk." The bunny girl let out a sigh before hearing a knock at her door followed by a familiar voice.

"Heather, are you awake!?" asked Mineta as he knocked on the door again. "Lunch Pass wanted me to get you for breakfast!"

"...Should I tell him about the nightmare?" She asked herself before shaking her head. "Naw…I-I'm sure it's nothing important…j-just a one-time thing." Heather took in a deep breath before letting out and speaking. "Y-Yeah, just give me a few minutes to get myself ready." She said before pulling herself up from her bed and heading towards the bathroom. Today was a new day, no need to have people worry about her when she has more important things on her mind…right?
