The next day, Benny was up in his room going over more of the file that Stern had given him the other day. As he was reading over it, his phone suddenly rang. When he looked to see who was calling him it was his boss, Stern.

"Hello?" said Benny into the phone after answering it.

"This is Mr. Stern. Your boss." bluntly stated Stern from the other end.

Benny rolled his eyes at how much of a rude prick Stern was being, right now, on the phone. "Yes, sir. I know. What can I do for you?" politely replied Benny as patiently as can be. Which was a little hard to do considering this guy's default personality to always be an officious and derogative jerk to everybody.

"I want a progress report on how things are going so far on obtaining the Lucifractor from the Morgans, Mr. Weir." replied Stern, if not a bit impatiently. But then again, he's been waiting to achieve his family's goal for years now, so of course, he was a bit impatient. He was like a little kid waiting for Christmas to finally come so that he may finally open his long-awaited Christmas gifts, at last. The only difference was that the day he'd finally get back the Lucifractor would be his Christmas day and him using it to annihilate all of vampire kind from this town, would be his long-awaited Christmas gift.

Benny rolled his eyes at how impatient the guy was already getting after only assigning him the job a couple of days ago. These things take time and can't be rushed because if he did rush it then things could go downhill REAL quickly for him in the process. With the end result mainly looking not so good for him, either.

"Well, there's not really much to report. But I have made a teeny bit of progress in getting myself into the house, though." informed Benny.

"Oh? How so?" asked Stern intriguingly.

"Through the son of the family. Ethan. I won't bore you with the details, but I think I might've gained his trust enough to the point where he wants to be friends with me. He even invited me into his home after I pretended to be 'hurt' when I 'accidentally' bumped into him on the street. Then he gave me his phone after dropping me off back at the hotel I'm staying at, in case I ever want to hang out or just talk with again." explained Benny.

"Excellent job, Mr. Weir." praised Stern satisfyingly. "Now, you'll be able to roam the house freely to search for the Lucifractor." he then assumed smugly with a grin.

"Actually, Mr. Stern... I might have to wait a bit longer before I can do that. At least, until I'm sure I've also gained the rest of the family's trust, that is. His parents seem a bit wary of me. Although, they did try to hide it from me, but I could still tell that they were suspicious of me and didn't quite fully trust me all that much yet like their son has. Probably because I'm a newcomer into their home and they want to be sure that they can trust me first before letting down their guard around me. It'll take some time, but I'm sure if I continue to keep up the act of being a 'good person' a bit longer then they'll eventually begin to trust me in no time. Probably not enough to come right on out with revealing the location of the Lucifractor to me, though, since that's probably a family secret or something. But enough, nonetheless." explained Benny earnestly, hoping the guy would understand.

"Very well, then. I suppose I can wait a bit longer then, Mr. Weir. It's best to gain the family's trust first before doing anything that may raise suspicion upon you." replied Mr. Stern in agreement after giving it some thought. "But tell me, Mr. Weir. How is it you're able to get around the two seers living there, abilities without either one having red flags about you going up the moment they set eyes on you?" he then asked Benny curiously.

"That's easy!" scoffed Benny bluntly/boastfully. "I have this special ring that once belonged to my grandfather. It's able to block the seers from using their powers on me, as long as I'm wearing it." he then explained.

"I see. Good work, Mr. Weir. Who knew you could be so resourceful?" complimented Stern, nodding slightly in approval from his end of the phone call. "Well, I'll let you get back to it now, Mr. Weir. But I will be checking in again soon, though, for a progress report. Until then, I expect some results, Mr. Weir." stated Mr. Stern.

"Right. I understand, sir. And no worries. You can count on me to get the job done." answered back Benny with determination in tone.

"You better, Mr. Weir. Or else." warned/replied Stern threateningly before abruptly hanging up on him.

Benny just stared wide-eyed at his phone in disbelief then, after hearing the short automatic tone/noise that a cell phone makes when a call has been ended. He couldn't believe the guy just threatened him over the phone and then had the gall to just hang up on him without saying "bye" or anything else that sounds similar to it when ending a phone call!

"I can't believe this guy?! He hung up on me!" gawked Benny incredulously in shock. "How rude!" he then exclaimed appalling in disbelief. A second later, he got over it with an eye roll.

Then Benny started to debate whether or not he should call Ethan up and see if he wanted to "hang out" together or something today. "Hmm... I don't know? Would it be too soon to call him up to see if he wanted to hang out or do something together the following day after we just met? Hmm..." pondered Benny out loud to himself, as he already had Ethan's contact pulled up on his phone's screen. Suddenly, images of Ethan's cute face popped into his head at the thought of seeing him again. A dreamy smile and small blush then appeared on Benny's face without him realizing it, but when he did, he quickly shook himself out of it. "No! Get it together! I need to keep my eyes on the prize! And Ethan's not it! No matter how cute he is! Or... how enchanting his voice sounds when he speaks. Or... how adorable his dimples are when he laughs. Or..." reprimanded Benny to himself sternly/encouragingly at first, but then he started drifting off-topic again once he started talking about Ethan. The dreamy look was back on his face again, but it didn't stick around for long because he slapped himself in the face to get his mind to stop thinking about all of Ethan's attractive features.

"Ow!" yelped Benny in pain, as he might've accidentally slapped himself a little too hard on the face. "Well... at least it worked." he then sarcastically said to no one with a frown while also tenderly rubbing his stinging (and probably slightly red) cheek a little.

Once the pain had subsided (and he was now back on track again), Benny got back to business and pressed the call button on his screen to dial Ethan's number. Holding the phone up to his ear, the young wizard patiently waited for Ethan to pick up on the other end.

Meanwhile, back at Ethan's.

Ethan was up in his room trying to distract himself from wanting to check his phone every 5 seconds it seemed. He was really anxious about the possibility of Benny maybe calling him back or texting him today. Of course, he wasn't exactly sure that the guy would even do any of that so soon after only meeting just yesterday, but he really hoped he would, though. There was just something about the guy that Ethan was drawn to. Like... they were meant to know one another or something! Perhaps... dare he say it, it was...destiny that they meet? Well, whatever the reason, he just wanted to get to know the guy a bit more and hopefully become friends. Especially, since the poor guy was new to town. He probably could use a good friend to help show him around town a little so he's better acquainted with his new hometown a bit more.

So far, Ethan has gone on his morning jog around the neighborhood, cleaned his room, done and put away his laundry, unloaded the dishwasher already for his mom so she wouldn't have to worry about it later on, and watched some tv. As of right now, Ethan's latest distraction was reading a book. Although, he wasn't doing much focusing on it as he kept glancing over at his phone in between paragraphs while trying not to act all jittery like, as if he drank a gallon of coffee or something. He couldn't stop himself from wanting to anxiously wiggle his foot around in a jittery-like motion while sitting on his bed with his legs crisscrossed in front of him. If he had his feet dangling off the side of the bed then he would most definitely be bouncing one of his knees, instead, right now. He was like a ticking time bomb just ready to go off and explode with excitement should he hear from Benny again.

Just then, Ethan's phone started to ring.

In a reckless and clumsy flash, Ethan hurriedly reached over to grab his phone (almost dropping it on the floor in the process). Totally just chucking the book he was reading just seconds before, off to the side somewhere. Not even caring that he forgot to bookmark the page he was on, first. Not that it mattered much anyway since he wasn't even really paying that much attention to what he was reading, anyway.

Of course, since he didn't have Benny's phone number already, the screen had shown it was an unknown caller calling him with just the phone number underneath it. Taking the risk and hoping that it was indeed Benny calling him, Ethan answered it.

"Hello?" said Ethan calmly into the phone.

"Yeah! Um... is this Ethan I'm talking to?" asked/greeted the person on the other end a bit hesitant-like. Probably, wanting to make sure he had the right person on the line first before stating his business. But Ethan already knew who it was speaking to him from the sound of their voice which instantly made his heart skip a beat. It was the person he's been waiting to hear from all day.

"Yes. This is he." replied Ethan politely with a beaming smile while his inner self was jumping up and down like a maniac, screaming with excitement that Benny had actually called him back.

"Awesome! This is Benny! Remember? The guy you nursed back to health after you injured him with your clumsiness, yesterday?" stated Benny cheerfully in a lighthearted/joking fashion to Ethan.

In response, Ethan couldn't help but chuckle a little in amusement at his playful little teasing remark about how they met yesterday.

"Anyway, I was just wondering if you wanted to hang out today or something? Maybe grab a coffee together and just chat? If... you're into that sort of thing, that is?!" asked Benny nicely, but Ethan could still hear the slight bit of shyness in his tone, though, which Ethan thought was cute. He could imagine Benny probably blushing a little, too, which caused him to smile and his heart to skip a beat from just thinking about it.

"Of course, I'd love to get a cup of coffee with you!" rushed out Ethan a bit too eagerly at first, but then backtracked once he realized how overly enthusiastic and desperate he sounded. So, he quickly pulled himself together and back to normal again. "I mean... uh... sure. I'd love to. Even if it is a bit too late in the day for coffee now." he then said to Benny coolly/happily with a small joke of his own thrown, as well.

Ethan could hear Benny laughing a little from the other end. "Oh, please! It's only the middle of the day! A lot of people drink coffee around this time of the day! Ever heard of brunch?!" playfully laughed/mocked Benny sarcastically in amusement at Ethan's comment. But then Benny's laughing abruptly stopped which worried Ethan for a second until he heard Benny speak again. "On second thought... How about we just grab some lunch together, instead? All this talk about brunch has reminded me and my stomach that I haven't had lunch, yet." suggested Benny embarrassingly.

"What?! No brunch?! But I thought that was what brunch is?! Eating breakfast-type foods for lunch!" teased Ethan playfully with a small giggle.

"Har! Har! I know what brunch is, ya jerk." stated Benny unamusingly/sarcastically through the phone, but Ethan could still hear the slight twinge of amusement in this tone, though. "It's just... I'm not really in the mood for it, is all. I much prefer to eat something that's more in the norm when it comes to eating lunch. Ya know?" explained Benny. "I actually know this great little pizza joint no too far from my hotel, if you're interested?!" he then stated/suggested a bit more livelier this time.

"Sure. Sounds good to me. I love pizza." smiled Ethan.

"Excellent! Then it's a date!" stated Benny happily, before realizing what he just said. "Er...uh... No, wait! I didn't mean that as a date-date, but rather as a lunch date between friends, that is!" quickly explained Benny then, as he backtracked over words to correct himself.

Ethan giggled. "It's alright, B! I know what you meant." replied Ethan sweetly before realizing what he just said, then. "Sorry! I-I didn't mean to call you B! It just sort of... naturally came on out of me!" quickly apologized Ethan on the phone with a blush, feeling embarrassed about his slip of the tongue.

He could hear Benny on the other end give a little laugh. "No! No! It's ok! I actually kind of like it." reassured Benny sincerely from his end of the phone call.

"Really?" asked Ethan.

"Yeah! It's an awesome nickname for me and I think you should use it. But only if I can call you E in return." came Benny's voice endearingly over the phone. Ethan could practically hear the fond smile in Benny's tone when he said that.

Ethan smiled at Benny's input and suggestion. "Ok! Deal!" said Ethan happily, as he agreed to Benny's terms about the nicknames. Actually, his friends already kind of call him E for short, anyway. Well... one of them does, at least. The other two just call him by his regular name, though. But Ethan didn't mind if Benny also called him E, too. It just sort of... felt right to him, ya know? "I'll be by in a little bit to pick you up. That way we won't have to walk there from the hotel." politely informed Ethan.

"Ok! I can't wait!" beamed Benny's voice. "And please hurry! I'm starving over here! I'm practically wasting away to nothing, right now!" he then jokingly stated all dramatically-like.

"I'm sure you're just fine, but just in case, I'll be there as quickly as possible, then. In a legal fashion, of course." quipped Ethan in response with a little smirk at the end.

"Good!" replied/sighed Benny in fake relief before then laughing a little, afterward. "See you soon, then. Bye!" he then said sincerely in a friendly manner.

"Yeah, same here! Bye!" replied Ethan in return in the same mannerism before finally ending the call. His heart raced with adrenaline afterward, as he was filled with giddiness and nerves all rolled up into one big feeling. He could hardly contain himself! So, with that, he quickly slipped on his shoes and ran downstairs to ask his mom or dad for the car keys.

When Benny ended the call, he could've sworn he felt his heart rate speed up a little at having lunch with Ethan. But he ignored it, as usual. Instead, he slipped the ring on his finger that blocked Ethan's seer powers and went into the bathroom to make sure his hair looks ok. After all, he didn't like going out in public looking like a slob.

"Lookin' gooood!" he said smoothly with flair and confidence about himself to his reflection in the mirror. He was ready to charm the pants off of Ethan some more, so that way he could get closer to him and his family until they have full trust in him to not be so suspicious of him, anymore. If he was lucky, he might even get one of them to slip up and accidentally reveal where the Lucifractor is hidden at, in the house or something! That would make his job a lot more easier if they did. But for now, he's gotta play it cool and take his time with it. Patience is the name of the game here, after all.

An hour later, the two were sitting in a booth at Pizza Palace finishing up the pizza they had ordered earlier. Benny didn't even realize how enthralled he was with their conversations together while they talked. He found out that they had a lot in common. Like how they both were really into comic books and superheroes. Or how they both love playing video games in their spare time, whenever they get the chance to. Or how they pretty much love the same kind of pizza, the meat lovers. Or how they both were bullied and picked on quite a bit in school, growing up, and were considered geeks and nerds during that time in their lives, as well. There was just so much they had in common with each other and yet...at the same time, they still had their differences. But all of these common qualities about themselves had started to make Benny believe that if maybe in a different universe they could've been really close friends. Or BEST friends even, for that matter!

"You were right! This place really does have some great pizza! I'm surprised I've never been here before! I'm going to have to come here more often!" stated Ethan impressively, as he finished off his slice of pizza.

"I know! Right?!" replied Benny happily before laughing a little. He then picked up his drink and took a sip of it from the straw, thus finishing what was left of it.

"Hey, would you like to come over and see my room since we're both like... practically into the same things? I promise you won't regret it." suggested Ethan, then.

"Sure. Why not?" answered Benny.

Ethan smiled at that.

So, the two left the pizza place and headed on over to Ethan's house.

"Wow! You weren't kidding! I really am not regretting this!" said Benny in awe as he looked around Ethan's bedroom, mainly at the little action figures sitting on his shelf. "If I had a bedroom then I'm sure it would've looked something like this. Well... maybe not exactly like this, but close enough, though."

Ethan chuckled at seeing how awestruck Benny was at seeing his dorky bedroom. "Well, I'm glad you enjoy my little geek museum. Let me tell you, some of it wasn't easy to get, either. Or very cheap. I had to save up a lot of allowance money just to be able to buy some of it." stated Ethan.

"Yeah, I bet. You even have some things here autographed. Like this hockey stick!" said Benny while still looking at Ethan's stuff in his room. He pointed over at the said hockey stick, too.

"I actually bought that online. I'm not even sure if it's real or not. Like... did Ryan Seacrest even play hockey or was even into it, at all?" explained Ethan.

Benny shrugged. "Beats me?! But it's still pretty cool, though! Real or fake!" he said happily/still in awe while looking at the autographed hockey stick before turning to give Ethan a genuine smile.

"Thanks!" replied Ethan with a smile of his own.

Benny then walked over to Ethan's bed and sat down on it while Ethan took a seat in the computer chair at his desk. There was an awkward silence between the two, again, which seems to happen a lot with them. Nervous now, Benny subconsciously started to twist the enchanted ring that blocks seer powers, around the finger he was wearing it on. Ethan noticed his new friend's nervous little habit and became curious about the ring. It was the only ring he's ever seen Benny wear. Plus, asking about it would help break the nervous tension between them.

"I like your ring. It's really cool looking." complimented Ethan.

Hearing that startled Benny a little, as it snapped him back to reality. He didn't even realize he was playing around with the ring on his finger until Ethan had mentioned it. "Oh! Um... thanks! It was my grandpa's, but he died before I was born, though. My grandma's the one who actually gave it to me before... before she passed away 4 years ago when I was sixteen." explained Benny a bit glumly when he had mentioned his grandma.

"Oh. I'm sorry to hear that." replied Ethan in remorse, as he frowned with sadness and sympathy in his eyes.

"Thanks." said Benny gratefully with a small appreciative smile, but you could still hear the slight bit of sadness in his tone, though. "Apparently, my grandpa was the one who made the ring. Grandma had told me that he was a craftsman by trait and a pretty darn good one at that." he then said a bit more upbeat-like with fondness in tone, as he remembered all the times she used to tell him stories about his grandpa.

"Wow! That's pretty cool!" said Ethan impressively, as he smiled warmly at Benny. Glad to see him not looking so bummed out, anymore. He could tell that he loved his grandma a lot and if he could then would tell him all sorts of interesting stories about her. But Ethan figured that for now, it was best to wait and save those stories for a later date and time, when their friendship with each other isn't so new, still. Also because it was best to let Benny be the one to decide when the time is right to tell him of such fond memories, as well. "May I?" politely requested Ethan then, as he gestured towards the hand that Benny wore the ring on so that he could look at it better.

"Sure, go ahead." replied Benny simply with a smile, as he held his hand out for Ethan to take.

Ethan moved his chair up closer to the bed. Then he gently took Benny's offered out hand in his to look at the ring better. A blush then formed on both of their faces at the contact. Benny couldn't believe how soft and delicate Ethan's hands felt on his. And Ethan couldn't believe how rough and slightly callused Benny's hand was, but he still enjoyed touching it, though. It was like... he could feel this little buzz or hum of electricity run through him when he touched Benny's hand which felt... nice. Almost like getting a massage that sent relaxing tingles and a warm sensation throughout your body.

Ethan lifted Benny's hand up slightly higher for a better view of it up close. He turned Benny's hand all which way to examine the ring on his finger and he even ran his thumb over it a couple of times, too.

"Wow! Your grandpa was a pro at this! Not that I know anything about jewelry making, but... this ring is gorgeous and very well crafted, too. He must've been a master craftsman in his day or something?" stated Ethan admiringly, as he continued to look at the ring for a minute longer.

"Yeah, I really don't know much about jewelry making myself, either. But you're right. He did do a pretty great job on it, though. Grandma never really did tell me if he was a master craftsman or not. She just told me that he was a craftsman that specialized in jewelry making, was all." stated Benny earnestly with a smile. "This is probably the only memento of my grandpa's that I have. So, my grandma made me promise to always cherish it and to never lose it. I'm amazed I even still have it after all this time, though. I'm not the most well-organized person in the world, ya know." he then fondly said, with a hint of playfulness in his tone at the end.

"Do you know what the engravings on it, mean?" asked Ethan curiously, then, as he looked up at Benny while still holding onto Benny's hand.

Benny simply shook his head no. "Nope. To be honest, the thought had never crossed my mind to ask Grandma what they meant or even what language they were in, at the time. I just thought they were cool looking." answered Benny, although his reply to the question was anything BUT honest, to be exact.

The young wizard knew exactly what the markings on the ring meant and what language they were in, as well. He just didn't see it fit to tell the young seer, was all. Because if Ethan knew the truth about the ring's actual purpose then the jig was up. He'd no doubt would tell his parents about it and then the whole family would become even more suspicious of him then, making it impossible for him to retrieve the Lucifractor. Benny was glad that Ethan couldn't read or understand what the engraving had meant. Now, he just hoped that none of the other Morgan family members could, as well. Especially, the spellcasters of the family. It was typical for most spellcasters to be fluent in understanding and reading many languages; seeing as the origin of spells, curses, and potions can derive from various parts of the world and be in languages that are either dead to the world now or not used as often anymore. Apparently, the symbols his grandfather had used on the ring were from an ancient language that many considered dead now, according to his grandma. But thankfully, it was one of the many languages that she had taught him anyway, just in case.

For some odd reason, Benny felt slightly guilty on the inside about telling Ethan only half-truths about himself. Which struck Benny as odd because he's never felt guilty about having to lie to someone before. Lying was part of the job after all! So, why was it bothering him now to have to lie to this dude in front of him? Like all the other strange and out-of-place feelings that started to arise within him the moment he met Ethan, Benny just shoved it down deep inside himself in the hopes that they'll just... go away in due time. The only thing wrong with this is that... some feelings just don't go away so easily. If anything, they only grow stronger the longer you try to ignore them until finally, they come spilling out of you.

"That's understandable." said Ethan sincerely, as kept gazing into Benny's memorizing and gorgeous green eyes. Not even realizing that he was still holding Benny's hand and lightly stroking the ring with his thumb, still.

Benny also couldn't tear his gaze away from staring deeply into Ethan's rich and warm brown eyes, as well. He was captivated by them and their beauty. He was amazed by how a dark color of brown (that appears black from a distance) could hold so much light and warmth in them. Benny was so caught up in Ethan's eyes that he forgot all about Ethan still tenderly holding his hand while gently rubbing his thumb over his ring. Until he then felt Ethan's thumb accidentally deviate from stroking the ring to stroking his fingers next to it more, instead. That's when he quickly snapped back to reality after feeling a warm and fuzzy feeling spark up from within the pit of his stomach. He quickly snatched his hand away from Ethan's and nervously diverted his eyes elsewhere (like off to the side) as a deep blush soon appeared on his face.

Benny's sudden action quickly then made Ethan realize what he had just done and he too started to blush from embarrassment, as he quickly looked in the opposite direction as Benny was but with his head held slightly more down towards the floor. He couldn't believe he was just staring into Benny's eyes like that, so intently while softly stroking his hand so tender-like with his thumb.

"Um... uh... Where's the bathroom? I really have to um... go." stuttered Benny nervously while still avoiding eye contact with Ethan and fidgeting a little.

"It's uh... down the hall. Second door on your left." nervously answered Ethan while also avoid eye contact, as well.

"Thanks! Be right back!" quickly said Benny before rushing out of the room to head to the bathroom. He was so panicked when he left the room that he didn't even notice that he had accidentally knocked his bag off the bed when he had gotten up.

After Benny's abrupt exit from his room, Ethan stared at the open doorway with a concerned look on his face as he heard the bathroom door being quickly shut. "I hope he's ok and that I didn't freak him out too much after what just happened?" thought Ethan concernedly to himself with a frown.

As he waited for Benny to come back, something on the floor next to his bed caught his attention. It was Benny's bag. "It must've accidentally fallen when he got up." deduced Ethan quietly to himself out loud, as he remembers the bag being placed down on his bed when Benny sat down there. Being the gentleman he is, Ethan then reached down to pick it up so that he could put it back on the bed again before Benny returned.

But when Ethan lifted the bag from the floor, an old-looking book had tumbled out of it and onto the floor. When Ethan went to pick it up, however, he got a vision the moment his hand touched it. It was a quick vision that only showed him Benny casting spells while holding the book in his hand.

"He can do magic?" muttered Ethan to himself in surprise and bafflement, before lifting the book the rest of the way off the floor. Curious, he then began flipping through it to see that it was indeed a spellbook.

Meanwhile, about a couple of minutes before Ethan's discovery about Benny, the said wizard was busy freaking out a little bit in the bathroom at what just happened between him and Ethan a little while ago.

"Oh my gosh! What the hell was that?!" asked Benny frantically to himself after closing and locking the bathroom door while leaning up against it. His heart was pounding in his chest at not only from the little sprint he just did on his way to the bathroom, but also from the mini panic attack he was currently experiencing, as well.

"Why were we just staring into each other's eyes like that?! And why the heck was he holding my hand like that?! So... soft and... tenderly? He can't possibly have a thing for me! Can he?" anxiously wondered Benny out loud to himself in a panic, as he felt his heart still beating rapidly. He took a moment to calm himself some by closing his eyes and focusing on his breathing a little. When he did he slowly felt his heart rate go back to normal again. Once he was at ease again and his heartbeat went back to normal, Benny let out one final (and mighty) sigh of calming before opening his eyes back up, again. He felt better now, but was still a bit on edge about what happened between him and Ethan and the feelings that arose from it, as well.

Still feeling somewhat flustered by it, Benny ran his hands through his hair first before then walking to the sink to stare at his reflection in the mirror. "No! Don't be ridiculous! Of course, he doesn't have a thing for you, Weir! You don't even know if he's gay or not?!" he drastically told his reflection in denial while shaking his head. "But... the look he was giving me? The look that I was giving him! They were both looks of... longing and love. Like he wanted to kiss me and I wanted to kiss him. And the way he held my hand and was lightly stroking it with his thumb... it felt... nice." he then said to himself into the mirror as he thought some more about it and how it made him feel, causing a smile to grace his lips then.

But then he quickly shook his head with a scowl. "No! You can't afford to let your feelings get the best of you, Benny! You have a job to do!" he then stressed seriously to himself in the mirror. After that Benny then sighed. "If only we had met under different circumstances. Then I'd be all for dating this guy, then." he said sullenly to himself, no longer looking at his reflection, but rather looking down at the sink with a sad look on his face. "But what if I had interpreted the whole situation wrong and he doesn't have feelings for me, then? I'd just look like a big idiot then and will probably scare the guy off making him reconsider wanting to be friends with me. If that happens then my whole plan will be a bust." stated Benny conflictingly, as he looked back up at the mirror, again. "For now, it's probably best that I keep my feelings for him a secret. Just in case he's not into me like I had thought. I can't let my emotions ruin this for me." he then somewhat reluctantly stated with conviction in his tone. Though he was determined to make it happen, there was still a part of him that was slightly unsure if he could even keep his feelings for Ethan in check long enough for him to do what needs to be done.

"Alright, Weir! You've been in here long enough! You better get back in there before Ethan starts to worry and comes looking for you!" declared Benny seriously to himself, as he hyped himself up with courage and determination to see this thing through.

However, before he left the bathroom, he first flushed the toilet and then turned on the faucet to half haphazardly wash his hands so that it'd appear as if he had gone number one as he had initially said to Ethan, right before bolting out of his room a little while ago.

"Sorry, that took so long. I really had to go, if you know what I mean?" said Benny lightheartedly in a joking-like manner upon his return to Ethan's room. He had a cheery smile on his face when he entered, but it then quickly fell as he immediately came to a halt once he saw what was in Ethan's hands.

Ethan turned one more page just as Benny had returned before then looking up at him in confusion. "So, you're a... a wizard, Benny?" he asked Benny.

Benny tried not to look so panicked about it but was failing. "W-what?! Pish! Of course, not!" nervously answered Benny, as he tried to play it off coolly, but he had that slightly anxious look about him that said otherwise.

Ethan closed the book and just looked at him with a dead serious look on his face that said he wasn't buying it. "Benny, I've already seen a few of the pages in this book and it's mostly written in Latin. Not to mention, what's written here seems an awful like spells to me." he said unamusingly in a blunt sort of way.

"I uh... I'm just fascinated by magic and the supernatural, is all. So, I uh... like to read books about that kind of stuff, sometimes. Of course, magic isn't real! Hahaha! But it'd be cool if it did, though! Huh?!" nervously explained Benny, as he tried to lie about his reason for having a spellbook on him.

"Benny, I know the truth." said Ethan firmly in a serious tone, as he glared at him. Then his expression softened to a lighter and understanding one. "It's ok to tell me. I won't freak out or anything if you are. Trust me." he said sincerely in a kind tone with a smile to match, as he placed a comforting hand on Benny's shoulder.

"Dang it!" thought/cursed Benny in his head, not too thrilled about Ethan finding out about the more... magical side of himself. He was hoping he wouldn't have to reveal that part about himself to Ethan and his family, but now it looks like he may have no choice. Obviously, Ethan wasn't backing down from his assumption about him being a wizard any time soon. "I guess it couldn't hurt to tell him the truth. And if the conversation winds up leaning into a direction that might wind up jeopardizing my mission to retrieve the Lucifractor from his family if I do tell him, then I'll just tell him a half-lie or something to throw him off. You can never go wrong with a half-lie when telling the truth to someone." he then thought to himself deviously while smirking on the inside.

Benny's nervous and panicked look then became more relaxed and at ease, as he smiled trustingly back at Ethan. "Ok. You're right. I... am a wizard." he confessed bashfully, looking away from Ethan with a blush.

Pleased, Ethan smiled at his friend, as he removed his hand from Benny's shoulder. "I knew it!" he said triumphantly in that 'I told you so' kind of way, but in a more friendly and gentler kind of way, though. He was a nice guy, after all! He didn't want to rub it in!

Benny appreciated the gentler approach to Ethan's reply about him being a wizard. But there was something that bothered him, though. Just how did Ethan even know he was a wizard, though? Sure, he found the spellbook and all, but when he tried to pretend that he was just a fan of the supernatural world and nothing more Ethan refused to believe it. Benny noticed how adamant Ethan was about his wizard assumption after finding the book and how nothing would change his mind, otherwise. It was like... he just knew it for a fact without a doubt that he was a wizard.

"How'd you know that I was a wizard, though? I mean... I get that you found my spellbook on the floor and all, but... you were so adamant about your theory that I was one that you refused to believe otherwise. Why is that?" asked Benny curiously, then.

"Oh! Well... uh... you see um..." exclaimed Ethan in surprise at first before then becoming bashful himself, as he rubbed the back of his head nervously while sheepishly looking away. "I probably shouldn't be telling you this, but... I feel like I can trust you. So, I will. Since you're sort of supernatural yourself, too." he meekly said to Benny a bit anxious-like.

Benny already has some slight idea as to what Ethan was about to confess to him. Which was that he was a seer. But he played along with his clueless act still, though, and pretend to be shocked by Ethan's little hint when he had said 'since you're sort of supernatural yourself, too'. So, Benny widens his eyes in (mock) surprise while his mouth hung slightly open in awe.

"Wait a minute. You have supernatural powers, too?" said Benny astonishingly in disbelief.

Feeling embarrassed and overcome with shyness all of a sudden at Benny's surprised reaction, Ethan turned away blushing like a madman while fumbling with Benny's spellbook that was still in his hand, a little bit. After a minute of doing that, Ethan nodded bashfully before finally facing Benny again with a small shy smile on his face. "I don't know if you've ever heard of them before, but I am what's called a seer." confessed Ethan.

"Yeah, I've heard of them before. They're basically like psychics and can get visions off of people and objects related to the supernatural sometimes. As well as do other things with their powers like reading auras and entering people's minds through touch. My grandma taught me all about them, among all the other supernatural creatures in the world. Well... maybe not all of them, but most of them at least." stated Benny honestly to the seer.

A look of small relief showed itself on Ethan's face then at that. "Ok, good. That saves me the headache of having to explain everything to you about seers." he said in relief with a bit of light humor in his tone, as well. He flashed Benny an endearing smile.

"Wait! Is that why you were so adamant about me being a wizard earlier because you had a vision?" curiously asked Benny in mild shock. Now, he was starting to panic on the inside again. Afraid of what Ethan might've seen. If Ethan did get a vision about him then the whole plan is ruined, then! "How could he get a vision from me if I'm still wearing the ring?! Don't tell me the thing is starting to lose its power or something?!" worriedly thought Benny in a panic.

"Yeah." nodded Ethan. "I got one when I picked up your spellbook, earlier." he stated/confirmed in honesty.

"Damn it! I should've known that he might get a vision from my spellbook if he ever came into contact with it! The ring only works on those who are wearing it! Not objects! GOD! I'm such an idiot!" harshly scolded Benny in his head. "Let's just hope he didn't see anything about what I'm up to." he then thought hopefully to himself.

"So, uh... what did you see in your vision, then? If you don't mind me asking?" curiously asked Benny while trying to remain calm on the outside about what the young seer possibly could've seen in his vision about him.

"Nothing ominous, really. Just you holding the book in your hand while casting spells, is all." shrugged Ethan nonchalantly.

"Thank goodness." sighed Benny in relief inside his head, glad that the vision didn't reveal anything about his true intentions for wanting to be friends with him, which is to steal the Lucifractor from his family. Continuing with the charade, Benny put on a happy and grateful smile at what he said next. "Well, I think it's awesome that we both have something else in common. We both have supernatural powers!" he said joyously with pride.

"Yeah! You're right! It is pretty awesome!" chuckled Ethan in agreement.

"So, is anyone else in your family a seer too, or is it just you?" curiously asked Benny then, already knowing the answer to that question.

Ethan knew that he probably shouldn't be sharing his family's secrets with Benny like this, but... he just couldn't help himself. There's just something about Benny that made him feel safe in wanting to spill his secrets to him. Not all of his secrets, though. But some of them, at least. The ones that he feels that he can trust Benny with and not have to worry about him judging him for them later on.

"My mom's a seer, as well. Whereas my dad and sister are spellcasters, like you are." answered Ethan, knowing he's probably going to get an earful from his parents later on for even revealing such info to a stranger, basically. But Benny didn't feel like a stranger to him, though. So, he'll deal with his parents' disapproval later when the time comes. Right now, Ethan was just happy to be able to reveal a part of himself that very few people even know about.

"That's cool." smiled Benny.

"You know something? I'm surprised that I didn't get a vision directly from you about being a wizard, instead?" stated Ethan perplexingly, then.

"Yeah... strange, huh? Hahaha." replied Benny slightly uneasy-like with an awkward laugh, afterward, while trying to retain his calm and collected composure. Thankfully, Ethan didn't notice the slight bit of unease and nervousness he was still barely displaying, anyway. The seer was too caught up in pondering over an answer to his own question.

Giving up, Ethan just shrugged. "I guess we'll never know." he concluded nonchalantly. "That's the thing about being a seer. When it comes to receiving visions, they can be a bit unpredictable at times on when they happen." he then stated gleefully with a smile.

"Yeah, I suppose you're right." agreed Benny with a smile of his own, now fully back to a calm and relaxed state of mind and composure, again. He then walked up to Ethan to take back his spellbook from him. "Say, how'd you know the spells in my spellbook were in Latin? Do you know Latin or something?" asked Benny, then.

"Yeah! Even though I didn't inherit being able to do magic like Jane can, my parents still wanted me to learn Latin, though. Just in case I ever had to read something that was written in it. Better safe than sorry in knowing is what my dad always told me every time I asked him during our lessons together." answered Ethan.

"Is that the only language he's taught you?" wondered Benny curiously, wanting to know what other languages Ethan might know. He already knows that Ethan can't read the symbols on his enchanted ring since they're in an ancient and forgotten language, but he wanted to be sure, though. And so that way if he ever has anything that happens to be written in any of the languages that Ethan does know (but doesn't want him to see or know about it), then he'll know to keep it hidden from him in advance.

"Yeah, I know a few other languages. Like French, Gaelic, German, and Spanish. Although some of those I didn't learn for supernatural reasons, but rather because it looked good on a college application." replied Ethan earnestly. Then suddenly a good idea came to Ethan as his face lit up with delight. "Hey! How about you do a spell for me?!" exclaimed Ethan expectantly with wonder and excitement in his tone.

Taken back by Ethan's request, Benny looked at the seer in surprise. "Wha-?! Like right now?!" gawked a flabbergasted Benny.

"Yeah!" nodded Ethan anxiously with a big smile on his face, as put Benny on the spot.

Benny stood there a little bit nervously at Ethan's sudden request for him to do a spell right in front of him, like this. It was so sudden that Benny's brain didn't know how to react or even take it. No one's just... asked him to do a spell before, out of the blue, like this!

"B-B-But... I'm sure you've seen your dad or little sister cast spells like... a million times before, already! Haven't you?! W-Why me?!" stuttered Benny nervously in embarrassment, as his face was as red as a tomato. He was flattered and all that Ethan wanted to see him do magic, but he didn't get why, though.

Ethan's big cheery smile fell then as he rolled his eyes annoyingly at the nervous wizard. "Yeah, but I want to see you do it, though. I want to see what your magic looks like in real life and not just in a vision, Benny." he explained a little impatiently. "So, please?! Do a spell, for meee?! Pretty please, Benny?!" he then eagerly begged to his wizard friend in the room out of desperation, as he put on this sweet and innocent pleading kind of look. Hoping that his wizard friend would give in.

For some reason, Benny found it hard to resist the cute and innocent look he was giving him, right now. Sighing, Benny gave in to Ethan's pressuring. "Alright. I'll do it." relented Benny in defeat, as his tense shoulders went slack now. He then smiled at Ethan and couldn't help but feel his heart skip a beat at how happy Ethan seemed to hear that. "So, um... what spell should I do? Any request, Mr. Relentless?" asked/teased Benny playfully with a smirk.

Ethan just rolled his eyes at Benny's teasing remark at the end, but kept on smiling anyway. "Honestly? I don't know. I guess something that's harmless and won't wind up destroying my room in the process. Or the house." answered Ethan a bit carefree-like, after giving it some thought.

"Hmm...? Ok, then." replied Benny, as he tried to think of a good enough spell that would fit Ethan's requirements. After a moment, the perfect spell finally came to him. "Ah-ha! I've got it!" exclaimed Benny brilliantly while also snapping his fingers on one hand to match his 'ah-ha' moment. He then started to recite the spell out loud with his free hand (while the other one held onto his spellbook) before then flicking the hand right towards Ethan after saying the last of the spell. A sparkly purple ball of magic then shot out of his hand and hit Ethan.

When the spell made contact with Ethan's body, Ethan felt a wave of magic wash over him soon afterward. Then the next thing the seer knew his feet were starting to slowly lift from the floor and into the air until he was no longer touching the floor. He was now floating in midair.

"Whoa! This is awesome!" stated Ethan in amazement, as he steadily hovered about a foot or two from the floor in midair. Ethan couldn't stop smiling at how cool it was, which also made Benny smile at seeing how much Ethan seems to be enjoying the spell he placed on him.

"It's a levitation spell." informed Benny. "It comes in handy when you're trying to move heavy objects all by yourself." he then explained/stated for no reason, as he continued to watch Ethan enjoy himself.

Ethan was now carefully floating all over his room, having the time of his life. "Who knew that being able to fly was so much fun?! Now, I know how my friends must feel when they do this!" stated Ethan in wonder and joy, as he flew around. He kinda wished he had a little more space to fly around in and to be able to go up much higher than he currently can, so he could try his hand at doing some aerial tricks and acrobatics.

"Wait a minute. Your friends can fly?" said Benny perplexingly as he looked at Ethan in confusion.

Ethan then stopped with what he was doing and floated down to Benny's level a little, in front of him, with his feet still not touching the floor. He then nodded to answer Benny's question. "Yup! They're vampires. Fully-fledged ones, at that." he said simply. There was no need to get into details about it because he figured that Benny probably already knew all about vampires since he's a wizard and all. Plus, the fact that Benny did tell him earlier that his grandma had him learn about other supernatural creatures in the world, too. And vampires were probably a must-know since they're pretty common among the supernatural community. Also, not many vampires are as friendly as his friends are, either. So, it would be wise to brush up on vampire knowledge when dealing with one. Trust him. He knows all too well what it's like when dealing with one in a fight.

"Your friends are vampires?!" said Benny incredulously before then casting the spell to end the levitation spell. Making Ethan's feet completely touch the floor again.

"Yeah! But they're not like most vampires, though. Who are typically heartless and cold jerks who love using violence and threats to get what they want while looking all scary and menacing-like, too." explained Ethan before making a thoughtful expression, then. "Well, actually... one of them kind of is like that, unfortunately." he then stated in a slightly disappointed manner with a frown and slouched shoulders. But then he perked back up again. "But I do know that she has a heart of gold under that mean, tough girl facade of hers, though. She genuinely cares about others deep down and has a soft side to her. It's just... she doesn't show it very often and rarely ever likes to admit it. But I know it's there, though! I've seen it! She a good person at heart." he said wholeheartedly to Benny with a smile.

Benny smiled back, believing him.

"Anyway, my other two friends are nice and act nothing like your typical jerkwad of a vampire. They actually care about people and have no problem helping others out, too. And they don't use intimidation and threats to get what they want, either. Or violence." continued Ethan happily then, as he pointed out to Benny his other two vampire friends' positive qualities about themselves.

"So, there are actually good and friendly vampires in the world, then?" asked Benny curiously/intriguingly, then.

"Yup!" nodded Ethan.

Benny was mildly blown away by this. Looks like he was right, after all. There are good vampires out there in the world, it seems. All of his past encounters with vampires have been anything but pleasant. Knowing that there are actually good vampires out there, Benny kind of wanted to meet Ethan's friends, now. Just to see if it is true or not.

"Wow! Who knew?!" stated Benny in astonishment. "I'd like to meet these vampire friends of yours, someday!" he then said to Ethan in amazement.

Ethan chuckled at Benny's reaction at finding out that vampires can actually be good and nice rather than mean uncompassionate jerks. "I'm sure you will. Especially, since you and I are friends now. It's only natural that my new friend meets my old friends so we can all be friends and hang out together." beamed Ethan happily with a smile.

"Well, aren't you an emotional sap of person, E." teased Benny playfully with a smug grin.

"Shut up, dude!" exclaimed Ethan embarrassingly with a blush, as he lightly shoved Benny on the shoulder.

Benny couldn't help but laugh a little at that, finding it cute whenever Ethan blushes from embarrassment. "So anyway, what're your friends' names?" he then asked the blushing seer.

Ethan then stopped blushing to answer him. "Sarah, Rory, and Erica." he answered normally. "Sarah is really sweet and nice. I think you'll like her. Rory's a bit of a goofball and a major ball of energy, too. He's also not always the most brightest person around, either, when it comes to common sense or logic. But he is super loyal to his friends, though, and is a bit of a geek like me, too. He's an all-around good guy to have as a friend, if not... a little annoying at times, as well." stated Ethan informatively and fondly, as he further described his friends to Benny. There was a smile on his face after describing Rory's personality to him.

"What about Erica?" asked Benny.

"Erica is the one I told you about, earlier. You know, the one who acts like your typical vampire, but is really a good person at heart deep down, who hates to admit it." replied Ethan. "But when you do meet her though, just... try not to get on her backside. Ok? She can be a bit vindictive at times if you cross her the wrong way." he then warned Benny with slight concern in his tone and on his face.

"Gotcha!" nodded Benny in agreement and slight worry, as well. Making a mental note for later about what Ethan just said about his friend Erica. "So, how'd you meet them, anyway?" he then asked Ethan.

"Well, I was already friends with Rory before he became a vampire. As for Sarah and Erica? Well, I became friends with them after they had become vampires." simply answered Ethan. He then started telling the long story to Benny about how his and the girls' paths crossed which lead to them becoming friends and how his best friend Rory wound up becoming a vampire, as well. Even told Benny about how Sarah was a fledgling for most of that year until her evil ex-boyfriend had returned and pretty much forced her to make the one decision she didn't want to make. To drink human blood and complete the transition to becoming a full vampire. When Ethan had told him that part of the story, Benny could see that it still bothered Ethan a little and that he felt somewhat guilty for how that day played out in the end. Benny consoled the downhearted Ethan the best he could by telling him that he shouldn't blame himself for what Sarah had to do that day. And that in his opinion, she did the right thing in choosing him over herself. That it just goes to show him what a good friend he has in Sarah. Benny's uplifting and encouraging words did the trick because Ethan no longer felt as bad about that day, anymore.

Ethan then continued with the rest of his story about how they were able to finally put an end to Sarah's evil ex for good, this time. Apparently, after Sarah had taken him home to recover and had explained everything to his worried parents (who yes, know that Sarah, Erica, and Rory are all vampires), she caught up with Erica and Rory who were busy hunting down her ex. They found him and this time he wasn't able to get away or best them in battle. In the end, Sarah had driven a wooden stake straight through his evil heart. Of course, the only reason why Ethan knew this is because after they had killed her ex-boyfriend, they all came back to his place to check up on him and to fill him in on what had happened after he had passed out and was brought home.

"So, what was Sarah's evil ex's name, anyway?" wondered Benny curiously.

"Oh, I'm sorry! I thought I had already mentioned that, earlier!" exclaimed Ethan a little taken back at the fact he forgot to tell Benny that important bit of information.

"Nope!" replied Benny, popping the 'p' while also shaking his head a little which made Ethan blush in embarrassment.

"His name was Jesse. Jesse Black." answered Ethan, then. "It turns out that he's a lot more older than he looks, as per usual when it comes to vampires." he then added somewhat halfheartedly/sarcastically at the end.

"Really? How old was he, then?" questioned Benny.

"About 200 and something years old." replied Ethan nonchalantly with a shrug. "And get this, apparently Jesse wasn't even his real first name, either! It was Horace! I guess at some point in his immortal life he decided to change it." he stated/informed slightly enthusiastic-like to Benny.

Benny's face scrunched up in mild distaste at the name, not liking how it sounded. "Horace?! That's a lame name to have. If I was him, I'd change it too." quipped Benny jokingly, making Ethan laugh a little.

Suddenly, Ethan had a bright idea. "Hey! You wanna play a video game with me?! It'll be fun! Plus, I'll get to see what kind of gamer you are, too." he asked Benny excitedly at first before then smirking cockily at the wizard.

Benny returned the smirk with one of his own. "You're on!" he answered daringly, accepting the seer's challenge.

With his challenge accept, Ethan immediately set to work on getting his game console set up for two players. After deciding on what two-player game to play, the two quickly got started. Having fun while throwing a few lighthearted gaming insults toward each other as they played.

A/N: Well, that's it for this chapter! :D

How cute was their little friendship date with each other? And omg! That special intimate moment they had up in Ethan's bedroom together?! I'm sure if it had continued they would've wound up kissing! And Benny's little internal freakout moment afterward?! Ah! Just so adorable! XD Lol!

Anyway, that's it for now! Stay tuned for the next chapter (as soon as I get started on it, that is *giggles* ;P)! :D Until next time, I'll be seeing you all around! Bye! ;D
