I'm am so freaking sorry guys! I had one issue after another between school, getting sick, getting stuff ready for testing season (which has begun), planning my summer because I am hosting a French student... and then my computer crashed... And that took a great chunk of time because I simply did not have the money to pay for the repairs at the time... So yeah.
Anyways! Here is the long awaited 8th chapter of SMNG! I've done quite a bit in this chapter, and it neared my goal of 6,000 words! (I want each chapter to be about 6,000 words or so, which is not at all a hard number to achieve when I have the creative juices and the time (which actually it is a rare occurrence for these two things to occur at the same time. T_T) Anyways I wanted to address some reviews I got shortly after posting the 7th chapter. I will not be altering the rating of this story because I want people of all ages to be able to find it easily, without the use of the filter. :P I DO HOWEVER have a separate post that I will be dedicating to Sailor Moon lemons, so if you want a pairing let me know and I will write it up! If any of you have begun to read this story and have not read the prelude, A Night of Bliss, I STRONGLY recommend you read it because that lemon is basically how this story got started in the first place. ^^ That is a full out lemon so there is a rated M rating and it is explicit so that is why I separated the two out. :P
On to the story! R&R everyone! And remember... don't call me out for posting so late. . I've had enough stress with daily life already. So it would be greatly appreciated if the reviews were positive. ^^ I don't mind constructive criticism though. :P
ONE LAST THING. SMNG has OFFICIALLY crossed the 100 pages mark! :D I can't tell you how exciting that is because I have never written anything over 50 pages! EEEK! Currently, it is sitting at 104 pages, (105 just being starter with Chapter 9!)
Chapter 8: A Lovely Rose
"You are just gonna have to get over it," Setsuna chided the shorter, purple haired female who sat across the diner table from her. Setsuna sipped from a large smoothie, a cherry and whipped cream still topping the red beverage. Her hair was done up in a full bun today, a bit messier than her usual tight, clean bun. Her reddish brown eyes lifted from her smoothie into the glaring gray eyes of her companion.
"I won't treat her the same as I would have if the destiny was correct," Hotaru grumbled and rolled her eyes. She sipped from a carbonated soda drink. Between the two arguing Senshi sat Haruka and Michiru who both looked rather annoyed at their fellow Senshi. Haruka's left eyebrow had been twitching for the last twenty minutes, from the moment Setsuna blew up on Hotaru for making an unneeded comment about one particular pink haired girl. Hotaru and Setsuna had been throwing back insults and excuses, nonstop and it was beginning to bug even Michiru who had nerves of steel.
"Didn't we come here to discuss something more important than Hotaru's undying dislike for Chibiusa?" Michiru finally snapped, slamming her hand down against the table and making the two intently staring Senshi look at her with a start.
"That's what I thought we were gonna do," Haruka commented sarcastically and leaned back against the seat, placing her hands behind her head. She looked out the large bay window to her left and watched a few snowflakes drift down from the gray sky. Winter was coming, and with it the worrying grew with each passing day. Already the plan for the departure of the original Senshi team had been set for the end of the following week. Haruka and Michiru would remain behind to mentor the new Senshi. The inner Senshi's children were already beginning to show signs of advanced growth, even the boys. This thought worried Haruka to no end. Normally the warriors of the planets were females, or at least that was how it was here in the Milky Way for as long as Michiru, Haruka, Setsuna and Hotaru could remember. The introduction of male Senshi meant something huge, and with the potential to wipe out an entire galaxy, was coming. This Chaos, was something they definitely could not take lightly. Doing so would most definitely mean death for the entire planet's population.
Setsuna sat back and sighed, but Hotaru did not let up her cold glare. The Senshi of Destruction had matured into a woman, her shoulder length purple hair was now down to her mid-waist and those grey eyes that used to shine bright with curiosity and intelligence were cold and reserved. "I try every day, but I cannot access the time rifts to view our future. Since the last time I looked, which was 2 years ago, the peace reigned, nothing had been disturbing said peace. But about 3 months ago, when I, with the aid of Hotaru, attempted to look at the future of Crystal Tokyo to glean some information on this child, Chibiusa, I found only darkness. The time rifts are once again beyond my abilities, and if this is a punishment for travelling into the future 16 years ago, the Gods have a really crappy sense of humour." She rolled her eyes and folded her arms across her chest.
"I honestly don't think this is the work of the Gods," Hotaru continued, countering what Setsuna said with a thoughtful look accentuating her youthful features. "I think Chaos is doing this, I feel like Chaos is blocking all of our abilities. You have been unable to use your abilities too, right Michiru?" She asked, turning to the blue haired woman who was fiddling with the glass in front of her.
"Yes, I haven't been able to access the power of my mirror for sometime now, but I passed it off as nothing more than a fluke, or perhaps it was simply time to pass on the power to one of our adopted girls. I feel really uneasy these days however, something cold creeps in the shadows at night, it frightens me to be by myself, and the girls always wake with a fright during the night."
"I think it's time we gather the Senshi children and attempt to quicken the transformation process. It will be highly important to prepare each and everyone of them for this battle. Even if I would prefer not to see my darling children have to fight in a war, I fear there is no other way."
"Hotaru is the only one that has no heir to Saturn's thrown," Haruka mentioned, looking at the young girl. "It would not surprise me if this battle will be fought without the next Saturn, or if the heir will be found in an unlikely place."
"That is similar to what will happen with your two girls," Hotaru commented back, turning her grey eyes up towards the tall blondes'. "Their selection was very meticulous, very thought out. I never would have thought to look in America for potential heirs. However, I do believe that we will find allies all across this planet and even in the galaxies. There will be an army, by the time winter is through. I just know it."
"It is the sad truth," sighed Michiru as she took the last sip of her drink. She scooted forward, looking at the girls around her with solemn eyes. "I think we should go talk with the inner Senshi, and especially with Usagi, Seiya and Mizuki. Seiya has been unable to heal fully from his wounds he sustained from the encounter with the Chaos Beast. Ami said she would try her best to sort out what is wrong with him, but in the meantime, Mizuki will be our main focus. She is going to be the key to this battle, I can feel it."
"Do you mean to say…"
"Yes," Michiru spoke firmly, cutting off the speaker, which was Setsuna. She however did not say anything else on the matter.
Later that Day:
Mizuki stood with her back to the house, Ren and Chibiusa were standing beside her, both looking slightly frightened with all the gathered children. Setsuna, Michiru, Haruka and Hotaru stood across from the mass group, and the rest of the Senshi were behind them on the porch. The house they chose was Usagi and Seiya's, the house had a large backyard that was shrouded with trees and on the edge of the suburban area. It would be perfect for this little training session which was sure to make quite the scene. Mizuki sighed and rubbed her forehead, they had been there for only ten minutes but already the kids that were around her were distracted and going off on tangents, giggling, cooing, fighting, yelling, it was a mess. She could feel the throb of a headache forming in the rear area of her skull. Hopefully this wouldn't take very long.
"Let's start," Michiru announced from where she stood beside Haruka, their arms brushing against each other. She turned to the girls next to her and all at once they chanted their Transformations' names. Mizuki watched in awe as each of the four women transformed into sailor suited soldiers of the Milky Way. Haruka and Michiru stood closer to each other, each with their arms crossed over their respective chests. Hotaru and Setsuna clutched their tall staves close to their sides, and all their eyes were trained on the children in front of them. From the porch, the mothers watched with a certain level of apprehension and fear. There was no telling exactly what would happen when the four Outer Senshi combined their Planet powers to force the dormant powers in each of these children awake.
Mizuki stepped forward and sighed once more. It was her transformation that the Outer Senshi and Luna hoped would be the key to unlocking the others powers. She threw her hand up into the air and made a crescent moon shape by arching her hand down to her right side and ending when her wrist touched her right thigh. "Moon Fighter Power!" The yard flashed in a brilliant white light, brighter than the light that the Outer senshi had exuded only moments before. The gathered people shielded their eyes from it, and when it finally faded, most had to blink away the black spots in their vision. What was left behind was Mizuki, standing proud and tall with her unique sailor fuku draped around her slim form. Her cerulean eyes however, boasted something much less proud, almost solemn. She looked around expectantly, a burst of soft wind rustled the ankle length cape that fell around her hips. Nothing seemed to be happened and the mothers and their children, the ones who could comprehend what was happening, looked almost saddened by the whole ordeal.
The Sailors were about to change back into their casual forms when all of the sudden, one by one starting with the children of Ami and her husband, Jona, and moving across all of the children in order of planets and age, the symbols of their respective planets' began to appear upon their foreheads. A collective gasp was silenced by a soft whisper of wind and as the parents awaited with baited breath, soft lights of differing colours began to surround the child. The lights morphed, growing larger in size, exceedingly for some and a very miniscule amount for others. When the lights faded, there the children stood, their eyes darting from side to side, from one person to the next in awe. The outer Senshi were certainly slightly disappointed that this was all they got out of this gathering, but it certainly was a start. The mothers and fathers moved forward, taking their child(s) in their arms. The change was miraculous and utterly complete. For the youngest child, only 1 month old, could speak in perfect Japanese and English. It seemed that the transformation had tapped directly to the gene pool and formed a young, intelligent boy from the strands. However, not even Ami could give a thorough explanation on how this occurred, and why the children were completely competent and able to make decisions without the effects of their once adolescent, or even preadolescent minds taking over. They had truly, and sadly, lost every ounce of whatever childhood they had remaining.
Mizuki stepped away from the chattering crowd and walked towards the Outer Senshi, who still stood on the other side of the mass yard. Hotaru and Setsuna had shifted back to their casual forms, but Mizuki, Haruka and Michiru remained in their fukus. "I'm not sure if I should feel disappointed in that or not," Mizuki mumbled and rubbed the bare places on her upper arms. "Is my power not enough to jump-start the transformations?"
"We can't rush into this anymore than we already have. If the gods want these children to taste the life of a semi-independent teenager, then so be it. They will change soon enough, some maybe sooner than others. However, eventually we will still have an entire faction worth of new Sailor Senshi." Haruka murmured softly to Mizuki and patted the small girl's head. The golden crescent moon that marked the girl's forehead struck a deep note in Haruka, but she hid it well, even from Michiru. This mark meant that Mizuki was definitely a daughter of the moon, one of their princesses and even though the blood of a foreigner ran through her veins, Haruka would always protect her. It was unexplainable almost, the change that overtook Haruka when Mizuki turned 14. Before then, she practically detested the young girl, in every ounce of her existence. Now, that was a completely different story. Now Haruka adored and treasured the girl as if her very own life, would depend on this short, dark haired girl.
"I wish that there was something more that I could do," Mizuki trailed off and hung her head. Her cerulean gaze, which had been trained on the excited mass, dropped to the drooping grass below her.
Setsuna stepped forward, her ruby coloured lips parting in a soft smile. "There is always something for you to do, my dear."
Mizuki looked up at the tall woman and frowned, Mizuki opened her mouth to speak but Setsuna quieted Mizuki by placing her own finger against her ruby lips. "What you can do now, is be a leader to these people. They will need a guiding light that only you can grant because they will never know childhood, and they will never get to feel the freeness of being young again. You have, and you know the difficulties of being a teenager. So it is you, who must lead them for they will be scared and alone, despite having each other."
"I-I'll do my best," Mizuki trailed off and sighed.
A voice, deep and evil rumbled through the gray, cracking rocks of a floating mass. In the center of this mass was a huge arc made of solid stone, etched with runes of a long extinct language. The language of the Sailors. A language that predated Chaos, some millions of years old. The voice sent a tremble of fear down the backs of the 6 riders and their beasts that stood kneeling before the massive arc. "I do not care what treacheries you face, I want every last Sailor killed." The voice ended in a growl, a swirling mass of emptiness at the center of the arc marked the source of the voice. The riders winced at his word and each of them looked up at their fallen sister. The Woman of White who rode a fox-like beast, lay dead in a heap of her own clothes. Chaos, the supreme lord of the universe, would not take failure, nor would he tolerate it.
One of the Chaos Riders, a young male, not even in his second century, shivered visibly. Chaos had forced the group to watch it kill the White Woman mercilessly, slowly and painfully. The Beast she rode, tethered down to the ground with pitch black ropes of dark energy, howled in pain with each blow its rider received. The sound of the beasts agonized cry as it slowly died, struck deep in each of the riders and their own beasts, souls. The could not fail this time, if they wish to live on into the new age that Chaos had promised. The mass of emptiness vibrated and the voice returned. "Now go, and do not dare fail me this time." The riders tilted their heads and stood, backing away. The took ten steps each before turning on a heel and racing for their beasts. The next instant the plane was cleared. A masculine shape emerged from the black mass, the figure appeared to be muscular, tall and well defined and boasted something far darker than evil. The very being exuded the very essence of the word. From the right, the figure, who had no notable features other than his physique and swirling black figure, noticed a woman approaching him.
The woman stepped over the bloodied corpse of the ex-rider, not even giving a second glance to her. If Chaos had a mouth visible to the naked eye, he would have been smiling, for this woman was his bright and shining star, or the dark equivalent, rather. Chaos turned his figure towards the woman and waited silently for her report. The woman smiled and as she stopped a few feet away, her ruby red lips parted in a devious smile. Her long black hair waved softly against her stark white skin and her eyes, blood red in colour, boasted pride. She wore a black leather jump-suit, quite revealing despite the amount of fabric. The sharply descending neckline that traveled off her collarbones down between her breasts and ended at her belly button and the slits that rose from each ankle to her mid-waist on both sides with leather straps holding the fabrics together, gave her a sexy allure.
"It is done." she stated simply, the smile spreading sharply across her lips to reveal her sharp teeth beneath.
"The planet is no more than?" To this question, the woman simply nodded and Chaos let out a chuckle. The woman did not even flinch to the dark nature of this chuckle, like one of the riders would have, instead she joined in her own chuckle. "And what of the Princess?"
"Taken care of as well."
"Good, everything is moving along nicely. Any sign of the missing Star?"
"Your dead rider would have told you that if you allowed her to live for 5 more minutes to explain what had occurred."
"So then it is true," Chaos nodded and raised his hand to his head and slicked back the hair that did not exist.
"Indeed it is, do you wish me to go?"
"No, I want you here with me. We have things to discuss, the remaining riders should be enough to take that pathetic planet."
"I wouldn't be so sure, but I will abide by your word."
"What do you mean by that."
She smiled and turned on a heel, heading back in the direction she came. She stopped short of the dead woman and turned her head to look over her shoulder at him. She called out with a mocking shrill in her high pitched voice. "Nothing, nothing at all." And she was gone. Chaos went back to his arc and his body disassembled and rejoined into the swirling black mass of nothingness. Once again the massive plane was quiet, and nothing stirred on the dead, rocky surface. It was as if no one was there, or had ever been in a long time. Except for the dead body which had already begun to disintegrate back into an unknown energy. In a few hours it would have been as if the woman and her fox-like beast had never existed. No one would remember her when she disappeared, at least not dote on her memory.
A few days later and the bitter goodbyes had begun. Mother to children, wife to husband, friend to friend. It was only early afternoon, yet it felt as if they had been in a state of somber goodbye forever. The feeling weighed so heavily that it physically affected most of the people present in the Kou's back yard. Seiya had finally started showing signs of recovery, although Mizuki, Haruka and Michiru were all still worried about him. The injury he sustained to his head only seemed to be healed, but somehow Mizuki felt that he was far from out of the woods as of yet. He still was in danger of falling into a coma at the slightest mishap. Mizuki prayed to the Moon to protect her father, and hopefully her influence as a Moon child would persuade the Goddess to shed light on her father and watch over him.
If anything, she prayed that everyone, especially her mother and father, would come back alive. Mizuki looked up from her position on the porch, she heard a familiar voice call out to the entirety of the group. Seiya and Usagi were holding Chibiusa and Ren, while she remained untouched and able to sulk in her own thoughts.
"Hey do we have everything we need to get going?" Ami called out from where she had been sitting with her kids. She was the first to break the silence about their imminent departure, and as she clutched to her grown children, she couldn't help but feel something in the pit of her stomach. Call it a gut feeling, but she felt like this trip was going to hold something very bad and very dangerous. It was bad enough that they would be travelling through another galaxy entirely, but this feeling pointed to something much worse.
"Mom," her young son called out, placing a hand on his mother's shoulder he continued. "Promise us you will come back." He did not state is as a question, he was firm in what he wanted.
"I promise I will come back to you both no matter what," she murmured and pulled the two children close. She felt heavy arms drape around her shoulders and a soft warm radiate against her back. She took comfort in feeling her husband of 6 years, Joma, pressed against her back. He was still a little in shock at the whole transformation, he had only just learned of his wife's powers late last year when she suddenly transformed during… oh well nevermind about that. The group remained hugging for a long time. As did Rei with her husband Raymond and Kaia and Katsu; Minako her husband Thomas and only child, Sachi; Makoto her husband Edmond and their children, James and Kai; Hotaru and her new husband, and his daughter Sophia; Setsuna her husband Hikaru and their children, Yuno, Haruki and Hideki; Haruka and Michiru each hugged their adoptive daughters, Juno and Faye; and finally Usagi and Seiya gathered up their three children and comforted them, preparing Mizuki for their absence and giving long, sorrowful hugs.
"Do you really all have to go?" Ren asked, he was the only one of the small group that was not shedding tears. He and Chibiusa did not change much during the transformation. Ren simply got a little taller and his voice deeper.
"I have to go with your father because we can't complete the sequence without me, if there was any other way, I would stay. But Haruka and Michiru will be here to take care of you three, and the other children, please don't be sad my loves, your father and I will return as soon as we can. And when we do, there will be peace once again." She murmured and pressed her lips against each of their foreheads. Mizuki nearly shied away, always having hated when her mother did that. This time however, she did not and fresh tears rolled down her rosy cheeks when she felt the soft, warm breath of her mother play across her forehead. It was finally setting in, the imminent feeling of utter terror that comes with loneliness. In just a few hours, her parents would be leaving with the other Senshi to visit Kinmoku, the homeworld of her father, Seiya. Before it just seemed so surreal, like she was dreaming about the entire thing and just had to wake up for the evil to go away forever. Now, the reality of the matter was crawling beneath her skin, leaving a thin sheen of sweat upon her pale complexion. Her stomach knotted and churned and her heart ached like it had never ached before. This kind of pain, the pain of loneliness was the worst kind of pain anyone could ever endure. And she wished she could just get rid of it once and for all.
"C'mon, the adults are gathering in the living room." Haruka called out, ushering those she had gathered already towards the house. The kids gathered in a silent mass, surrounding Michiru as she recounted tales of her time as a Sailor before she met Haruka and further on when she finally met Usagi. Usagi reluctantly left her children's side to head inside. Seiya however remained a few moments longer.
"Go on, I'll catch up in just a moment," he called out to Usagi who nodded. Seiya then turned to Chibiusa and Ren, asking them to go sit with the other children. Ren was about to complain however, before he noticed the look in his father's eyes. They nodded and wandered off, leaving Mizuki with their father. "I know you are afraid Mizuki."
"I'm no-"
Seiya cut her off with a finger and then continued. "I know how much you wish us to stay, or you wish to go with us. And I wish you could come with us too, and see my home world. Meet Taiki and Yaten and my princess. I wish you could have had the life I did when I was your age. I am so proud of you though, and I wish I could stay here to help you through this transformation process, to show you how to fight like I learned. But you gained my leadership skills, and you have always been able to hold your own," he paused for a moment to collect the words he wanted to use. "Don't neglect those who are around you. If you need help, you must ask for it. Especially in the future battles, those who are around you will be there for you. And you for them. Haruka and Michiru won't always be there, okay?"
"Okay dad," she muttered and looked away. This was definitely not how she wanted him to leave her. With a lecture. Seiya smiled and turned to leave, but Mizuki lunged forward and wrapped her arms around him, not wanting him to leave just yet. "Dad, I love you."
"I love you too, you and your siblings are the best thing that has ever happened to me. You gave me the chance to be with your mother, how I wanted to be with her. I will come back, okay? I won't abandon you, or your sister or your brother." He sniffed and reached forward, pulling the short dark haired girl against his chest. He fought back the tears, because he feared that there is a chance that he might not come back, but he certainly wanted to make Mizuki as comfortable as he could before they left. The two parted and Seiya headed indoors to meet with the others. Mizuki moved towards the other children who were all now huddled together in a mass of tear stained faces and faint whines.
"Can you feel it?" Rei's daughter, Katsu murmured, her eyes wide with fright.
There was a plethora of murmurs that rumbled through the crowd of huddled children. "Maybe it's just our parents transforming!" The high-pitched sound came from a small statured girl.
"No, this feels different. It feels almost…" Katsu continued.
"Almost evil," Mizuki murmured and nodded in agreement. She had been feeling a negative energy for sometime now, but it was faint and almost like a dull throb at the back of her mind. It was an ever present feeling, however, and now that another had mentioned it, it had grown in size and persistence. What was it exactly? And more importantly, where exactly was it coming from? It didn't feel like it was on Earth, but it also didn't feel like it was anywhere outside of the grasps of her consciousness either. She shook her head and stood tall, looking at each and every face that was huddled near here. "Don't worry guys, it's probably nothing. Our parents will be back before we know it!" She masked her worry with a facade of forced optimism. "So until then let's just try to be as normal as we can okay?' There was a rustle on limbs and a few wet sniffles followed by a murmur of 'okay's and 'yeah's.
Inside the house the adults stood in a circle of dazed faces and wearisome eyes. In the centre of them, towards the head of the circle stood Usagi, Seiya and Luna whom had assumed her human form along with Artemis. The short woman, with black hair as long as she was tall wrinkled her nose and folded her arms across her black and yellow dress. "This development is going to be troublesome to say the least. However, there is still no telling if they are moving towards Earth or towards Kinmoku or any place for that matter."
"But we are still going to go along with this plan despite the threat we now face?" Minako grumbled and clutched the arms of the chair she was sitting in. "Leave Earth vulnerable while those beasts are moving!" She nearly shouted but a reassuring hand of Makoto shushed the rise of her voice.
"We have no choice," Seiya murmured and rubbed his forehead. The headaches were starting to come more and more frequently. He barely slept a wink in the last few days. A reoccuring dream kept him awake, shaken with a cold sweat that would not fade away. In the dream he could only see black surrounding what he figured was himself. A few moments would pass and then arms would appear on either side of him and then he would see a star shaped object pointing towards him. He was the one holding it, or so he thought. Moments before he would bolt up, covering his mouth with his hands to suppress the rising scream that welled up inside of him, the star would glow, but that was it. He didn't know what happened or why the dream was occurring but he definitely felt he should tread carefully. Seiya looked around the circle and sighed. "There is no power on Earth as great as Kakyuu, if we are to living in this battle we will need her help and the help of her assets. She knows many good warrior Senshi throughout the Galaxy of my home planet. It is our best bet to reach there within the week and gather as many people as we can in the short amount of time we have."
"Say in theory, if the Chaos beasts were heading this way, how much time do we have until they would reach here?" Ami asked, she was speculating.
Artemis, tall with long white hair that fell to his mid back replied. "We would have 3 months until they reached here. From my calculations it would take us two days to reach Kinmoku, and 1 month to prepare as many Senshi as we can possibly scrounge up. And perhaps another month to get them all back here, or at least in our Galaxy to host them. It may take two to three weeks after that to setup base camps on several of the surrounding planets and maybe a few days to revive the old kingdoms. Unfortunately, the kingdoms of Pluto, Saturn, Moon and Venus are inhabitable and no longer stand. That leaves us with Mars, Jupiter, Uranus and Neptune. Mercury is simply too far away from here to deem it worthy of a base."
"It makes sense, Mercury is also closest to the Sun, and even we Senshi cannot survive the extreme temperatures that onslaught that planet. Our best bet would to be house as many as we can on Mars and Jupiter, since those two planets are the closest to Earth." Ami nodded and folded her arms. "By your timeline, we would only have a week to spare. However, we can get a lot done in three months, Haruka and Michiru can easily train the children by then. If any of them are as resilient as Mizuki and Chibiusa are, they will make for formidable fighters."
Usagi sighed and reached for Seiya's hand. When she felt his smooth skin touch hers she squeezed his hand, refusing to let go. "Our peace should not have ended this quickly…" she murmured and tilted her head forward. Seiya mentally groaned, he knew what she was thinking. She always got like this when things as serious as the Chaos wars came up. "I'm sorry everyone, this is my fault…"
"No honey its not," Rei murmured.
"Yes it is!" Usagi shouted, tears flying as she looked up. "If I had never met Seiya none of this would have ever happened. Our destiny would have been perfect, we would have peace well up until the 30th century and beyond!"
"How do you know? Can you suddenly see the timerifts?" Setsuna growled. Hotaru shot her a glare but Setsuna ignored it. "There is no telling what we heard from the original Chibiusa, what you guys saw so long ago, was going to be actually true. That was just a fragment, a piece of a million possibilities. Nothing is set in stone, Usagi. The Chaos beasts awakening and the revival of Chaos has nothing to do with you marrying Seiya, those two rifts are completely separate from one another. I can almost guarantee that even if you and Mamoru stayed together and had kids, the Chaos Wars would begin in that timeline also. Do you understand? There is nothing in your life that you have done to cause what we are facing in this exact moment."
Usagi remained silent, hanging her head in defeat. Hotaru let out a angered sigh and elbowed Setsuna in the side.
"Let us not fight," Luna meowed loudly, letting the room know of her irritation. "We must get the Sailor Teleport ready now. We cannot wait any longer or the Galaxy of Sen-tsu Hoshi (Thousand Stars) will no longer be within our reach and we will never reach Kinmoku in time." The group nodded in unison. "Let us be off!" Luna growled and within moments hand after hand appeared in the air and each Senshi shouted their respective chant to activate their transformations. As the sequences continued the group gathered in the backyard once more. Their children watched in silence against the far wall as the older Senshi, excluding Haruka and Michiru, gathered and grasped hands. Together the chanted: Senshi Planet Teleportation, a pillar of light surrounded each and every individual until they all combined and in the next instant the group was gone.
Mizuki felt a pang of emptiness, but she knew she would see them again… hopefully. There was still that feeling of doubt, settling in the pit of her stomach. It was far from pleasant and she but the inside of her lip to put her mind somewhere else. She bit so hard she could taste the metallic flavour of the blood in her mouth. Haruka sensed Mizuki's angst and put a reassuring hand on the poor girl's shoulder. "C'mon, I'll buy you a smoothie. And we can talk, just you and I. How does that sound?"
Mizuki simply nodded and walked beside Haruka away from the whimpering sounds the children made. Michiru stayed behind with Chibiusa and Ren. Mizuki looked at the circle of charred grass where her parents and the rest of the Senshi stood only 5 minutes ago. She hoped they would make it safely to Kinmoku, and make it back in time to help fight the impending invasion. Without them, Mizuki feared that she and the others would not be ready to fight off such aggressive, and strong foes.
I wont make any promises on when the next update will be up. Things will probably be calming down within the next two weeks, for about a week before cramming for finals begins (yikes!) I'll try my best to make sure the next update is up before... y'know... July. XD R&R! Until next time! 3
PS: I took a lot of time making sure I had a name for every kid of every Senshi! (I even have them listed in a word document so I don't even forget myself!)
PSS: Getting all these characters drawn is taking me quite a bit longer than I expected. .-. I'm playing around with designs for their Sailor fukus and haven't yet found one I find would work (and was easy to replicate multiple times over). However, Mizuki's fuku is done! Maybe I'll make it a thumbnail, or start (ANOTHER) deviantART account because I always forget my password and resetting it is such a pain. XD)
