Confusion.

Saying Ritsuka was confused would be an understatement. He couldn't remember anything at all, and yet he was apparently married? Nothing about that moment made any sort of sense to him.

"What's the matter dear? Your face is all red" - Morgan said as she slowly passed her hand over the boy's face.

"I just… It feels like I'm dreaming. I don't remember anything and…" -

"Yes, our medics told me that there was a chance you'd suffer memory loss, but they never expected it to be to this degree. In that case, I'll be in charge of taking care of you and helping you" -

"Um… Thanks?" -

Morgan grabbed Ritsuka's hand and led him through the castle - "Weeks ago, we received information on a group of rebels hiding in a nearby forest, and you took it upon yourself to capture them. The fight between your army and theirs was rough, and although you eventually won, one of them attacked you directly before passing away, leaving you bedridden until today" - she said, telling Ritsuka the lie she had crafted to keep him under her control.

"I commanded an army… And ended up bedridden after the enemy attack… Sorry, but I'm just having a hard time processing all of this'' -

"Do not worry about that, that's what I'm here for. I'm your wife, did you forget? If you need anything, I'm more than willing to help you with it" -

"My wife…" -

Morgan then explained to Ritsuka everything he needed to know about the castle: Where the dining room was, the throne room and the bedroom he'd be sharing with Morgan now that he was 'alright'.

"Please wait for me here my husband, I need to talk quickly with Gawain" - she said as she closed the door of the luxurious bedroom as Ritsuka sat on the bed.

"What is going on…?" - he said to himself as he laid down and closed his eyes, which still felt heavy even after all this time.

Meanwhile, Morgan returned to the throne room and there she met with Fairy Knight Gawain.

"Queen Morgan, how's the Master of Chaldea?" -

"He's fine, he's currently resting inside our chambers" -

"I see. If I may ask, why did you choose to refer to him as your husband specifically?" -

"I told you before, didn't I? He needs a new purpose after losing his memories inside the Nameless Forest, and being the King of Fairie Britain is the highest purpose one could have. That ensures that his memories of Chaldea will not be coming back" -

Despite this, Morgan had no feelings towards Ritsuka. All of this was to ensure that one of the highest threats to her rule were eliminated, by keeping him under her at all times. He wouldn't take long to accept his new purpose, and once he did, there would be no coming back.

"Have you received any news from Tristan and Lancelot?" -

"None important, Lancelot has finished destroying another small rebelion in a town towards the south, while Tristan has yet to report ever since she was sent out" -

"As usual for her. Thanks Gawain, you may return to your duties" -

"Yes, your majesty" -

Morgan was left alone in the throne room, thinking about what to do with the remaining members of Chaldea that had surely traveled with Ritsuka. They needed to be hunted down before they could become a threat.

Back in the room, Ritsuka started to slowly fall asleep again, and as he was doing this, small images flashed in his mind, fleeting dreams that he could barely make out, yet for some reason they felt important to him, like whoever he was seeing, was someone dear to him. Despite this, he wasn't able to make out any shapes or sounds, everything appeared and disappeared at a high pace.

Ritsuka then opened his eyes to the empty room and moonlight passing through the curtains. He was asleep for a while it seemed. Getting up from the bed and opening the door, he started to explore the castle under the cover of the night. The only souls that wandered the darkened structure were Morgan's guards, patrolling the hallways to ensure no undesired individual could sneak in.

He didn't trust those strange individuals, and hid from them as soon as he saw one. Luckily, there were a lot of tall structures to hide and with caution, he quickly made his way across the entire castle. Soon, he arrived at the exit to Camelot.

He left the castle and made his way towards the city, not knowing what awaited him outside of the walls of Morgan's castle, but he didn't think much of it.

The streets were empty by that hour of the night, and just like the castle the only ones still out were the guards, which the boy still made an effort to evade. It was harder this time, as there were more of them, and between the darkness he could visibly make out the figure of Fairy Knight Gawain.

His only plan was to explore Camelot and the castle, but once he got out he got a sudden rush of thoughts that were all repeating the same thing over and over again.

"Leave" -

Leave from Camelot, get away and don't come back. Where was this coming from? He had no idea, but it was getting louder and louder, and as such he started to look for a way to leave the city. His escapades were cut rather short however, as knights started to quickly pour into the streets of Camelot after hearing the news that the King was missing, and needed to be found.

That's when Ritsuka knew that if he were to make his escape, it was now or never. He prepared to run, but before he could do it, a string catched his foot and made him trip before lifting him up into the air.

"Look what I caught? If it isn't a small fry trying to hide" -

After being captured, Ritsuka was returned to the castle, where Fairy Knight Gawain and a girl with red hair and dress presented him to Morgan, who was sitting in the throne room with a judgmental look.

"Thanks for your help Gawain, Tristan" - she said as both knights bowed down to her - "Now, my husband, could you explain what exactly you were doing wandering the streets of Camelot by yourself and hiding from our troops? I thought I told you to wait for me in our room" -

"I was merely curious, I wanted to see what was outside the castle" - he answered as quickly as he could, feeling a huge pressure over being in such a position with Morgan.

"Is that so? And why is it that you were getting closer and closer to the city gates?" - she got up from her throne and started to walk towards him - "You weren't… Trying to escape, weren't you?" -

This time, Ritsuka had no answer. What could she tell her anyways? That he heard a voice in his head telling him to leave Camelot?

"As your wife, I'll let it pass just this once, next time you wish to explore Camelot you could simply tell me, and we'd take a small tour around the city, to show everything to you" -

"Thanks Morgan…" -

"Good. Now that we resolved this, it's time to go to sleep. Follow me, let's go to our room" -

Ritsuka and Morgan made their way towards their chamber as Tristan and Gawain left the throne room.

"Hey, who's that small fry and why is mom so close to him?" - Tristan asked Gawain.

"She'll explain everything tomorrow, for now I need to talk to you about you not doing any reports of your missions" -

"Not like anything interesting happened in them anyways" -

Inside their room, Ritsuka saw as Morgan changed into an outfit more comfortable for sleeping, and she then looked towards him, confused.

"Are you not going to change, or will you sleep with that?" - she asked, referring to his current clothing.

"Well, I don't have anything more and…" -

"Take that off, I'll provide you with something more fitting" -

While embarrassed, Ritsuka did as Morgan told him, removing his clothes and leaving his body exposed to her. The Queen saw the muscle and scars of the boy, with her gaze getting momentarily fixated on them for a moment. At the end of the day, it made sense, as the Master of Chaldea he faced a lot of world ending threats, such a body wasn't all that surprising.

"Um… Morgan?" -

"Sorry, you'll forgive my attitude" - she said as she returned to her usual stoic self before using her magic to make a set of clothes for Ritsuka, for him to use while he slept - "Now, we're ready. Good night, my husband" -

"Good night Morgan" - he answered as he got into bed, followed by her soon after. The pair slept on opposite sides, not making any contact, as both slowly fell asleep.
