Interrupting the Dinner.

There were only a few minutes remaining until dinner, and Morgan, like she said, gave a new outfit to Ritsuka. This new outfit was rather… Fancy. It seemed like a male version of Morgan's own clothes, including a small crown with a veil, although he decided to not use it for the moment.

"Refusing the veil? Why is that exactly?" - Morgan asked.

"I don't want to hide my face, doesn't feel right" -

"Is that so? I'll respect your decision if that's the case. Come now, they should be waiting for us" - taking the boy's hand, Morgan walked him to the dinner room - "Enjoy yourself, my Husband, I'll handle the others" -

They entered the room, being met with a huge table and a number of other guests sitting in it. Fairy Knight Tristan was amongst them, as well as the girl who captured Ritsuka when he was wandering through the streets of Camelot. The couple took seats in front of everyone else before plates full of food were served to them.

"Guests, be grateful that you're allowed to be in the presence of the Queen, as well as eat from our food" - Morgan said while extending her arms, signaling that the guests could start eating.

Ritsuka saw the food in front of him. Without thinking twice, he took a bite, it tasted rather… Strange.

"Morgan, the food…" -

"Do not worry, it was made by the best cooks in the castle. I told them to prepare it specifically for you" -

He then took another bite from his food, this time noticing it tasted… Better, it was almost like he was eating something he deeply enjoyed and hadn't eaten in a long time, like a memory.

He continued eating with happiness, with some of the nobles faes looking at him with disgust.

"Queen Morgan, does your… Husband, need to be here with us?" - one of them asked.

"Of course, he's royalty from this kingdom as well" - she answered without looking at the fae who asked the question.

The boy turned to look at the faes, noticing that most of them were staring at him directly. It made him feel unsafe, like he was about to be attacked. Morgan noticed this, but didn't particularly care much about it.

The dinner continued without much issue, other than the faes occasionally shooting nasty glares to Ritsuka, however their night was interrupted when a loud explosion outside the castle.

"Guards, protect the castle!" - shouts could be heard from the outside as the nobles started to panic - "Keep the rebels out!" -

"Attacking the castle directly? These rebels are bolder than I expected. Knights, engage them, do not allow them to enter the castle" -

Tristán and Gawain quickly got up and left the room. Morgan was ready to leave with Ritsuka and leave her troops to do the job, but was surprised when she saw the boy preparing to leave.

"My Husband!" -

"I'm not going to allow them to enter the castle! Go to a safe place, I'll be fine!" -

"He's risking his life for me… - Morgan said as she retired. She never expected this, but maybe…

Ritsuka ran together with the Fairy Knights, both being shocked to see him together with them.

"King! What are you doing here?" - Gawain yelled.

"I've come to help you!" -

"Are you an idiot or something!? Run and hide, you're not meant to be here!" - Tristan said this time, but Ritsuka didn't pay attention to her, instead picking one of the halberds that the guards used, to have a weapon.

Tristan saw that there was no getting him to listen, and decided to simply ignore him. Maybe he'd get himself killed on the battlefield.

The three arrived outside the castle and saw the guards fighting a group of rebels that were trying to break in. The rebels were heavily armed and were close to breaking the barriers.

"Bunch of small fries. Come on, let's kill them for daring to bother us!" - Tristan yelled as she attacked one of them by summoning her weapon, the bow Failnaught.

Ritsuka and Gawain launched themselves against the rebels, defeating them one by one. While Gawain and Tristan had no problems killing the rebels, they were confused when they saw that Ritsuka refused to kill them. He either disarmed them or simply wounded their legs to stop them from moving anymore.

"Why is he…" - Tristan asked, and while doing this, one of the rebels took advantage of her distraction and attacked her.

"Look out!" - jumping at Tristan, Ritsuka tackled her to the ground before using the halberd to block the attack of the rebel before kicking his weapon away - "That was close… Are you alright?" -

"Yes…" - getting up from the ground, the girl quickly got away from Ritsuka and continued fighting.

"A thanks would've been nice" -

The battle continued, and with the help of the 2 Fairy Knights and Ritsuka, the guards were slowly pushing away the rebels. Soon after, every single one of them was either dead or wounded and trying to escape.

"Looks like that one was the last of them, now…" -

"King, why did you keep them alive?" - Gawain didn't even allow him to finish, she had to know.

"Huh? I'm… Not sure, I just didn't felt confortable taking a life" -

"But now, what Queen Morgan will do with them once she comes here… King, I think it's better if you return to your room for the moment" -

"What are you talking about Gawain?" -

"Ah, I see my Husband managed to keep a couple of them alive. Good job" - Morgan's voice was heard walking from outside the castle - "Take them to the dungeons for interrogation, get whatever information you can out of them" -

"Morgan, is everything alright?" -

"It is. The guests stayed in a safe room as you helped stop the rebels. I am grateful for your service my Husband" -

"I had to do it, it's a King's duty to protect the kingdom and the Queen, is it not?" - the comment made Morgan blush slightly, although she quickly composed herself.

"Soldiers, clean up the remains. My Husband, Gawain, Tristan, come with me, we shall continue our dinner without distractions.

They returned to the dining room and finished eating, this time none of the other faes shot glares at Ritsuka, but instead thanked him, as well as Gawain and Tristan, for helping stop the rebels from breaking into the castle.

Morgan, meanwhile, while she was originally shocked that Ritsuka decided to go fight together with her Knights, realized later that this only served as more proof that having him on his side would be a benefit to her, as she had more protection with him by her side, he made her feel…

Safer.
