Chasing a Memory.
Morgan couldn't focus on what Fairy Knight Lancelot was telling her, her mind was still trapped in the child that she saw in her dreams. Normally, she would simply ignore it and move on without issues, but the dream she had, it felt real, and it didn't leave her mind.
"Morgan, is everything alright?" - Ritsuka said as he put his hand on her shoulder, grabbing her attention.
"What is it?" - she asked after looking at him.
"You seemed distracted, like you were somewhere else" -
"Is that so? Then, please excuse me, I'm still not fully awake" -
"Then, what are your new orders, Queen Morgan?" - Fairy Knight Lancelot asked.
"Stay close to Camelot for the time being and protect it. If there's anything else you're needed for I'll let you know. You may leave" -
All 3 Fairy Knights left the place, leaving only Ritsuka and Morgan together. She said nothing, simply got up from her throne and walked towards the balcony behind the throne room, overlooking the great hole behind Camelot.
"Is there something wrong Morgan?" - Ritsuka asked as he got close to her.
"Just… Can I ask you a question?" -
"Of course, what is it?" -
"When you and I stayed together in bed, did you… Dream of something?" -
"Well…" -
"Do not dare lie to me, tell me only the truth" -
"I… I did, I dreamt about a flower field, you were there with me, and there was a little girl with us. She called us 'Papa and Mama', but I couldn't see more because Tristan woke us up" -
"I see…" - She didn't expect him to have the same dream as her, which served nothing but increased her confusion even more. Why did they dream the same thing?
"Could you join me? There's something I need for us to try" - Morgan said as she took Ritsuka's hand and then led him back to their room. He was confused by this.
She sat him in the bed and then sat next to him - "That dream of yours, I had a similar one too. I need to see it again" -
"What do you mean?" -
"I wish to see back into your mind and link it with mine, then I'll be able to see the dream again. I need to know more about it" -
"Really? Then I'd be happy to help you" - he answered with a smile.
Morgan placed her hand on Ritsuka's forehead before telling him to close his eyes, as well as doing it herself. A few seconds later, the two connected, and Morgan once again returned to the same dream she had.
Everything was exactly as she remembered, including the same vision of the kid she saw earlier, standing at the edge of the flower field and staring into the sky.
"You… Who are you?" -
The kid then turned to look at her - "Why are you asking that Mama?" -
Morgan didn't know what to answer at that moment.
"Did you forget me? How could you…?" - the Queen couldn't explain why, but seeing the girl starting to tear up made her feel… Strange.
"Don't cry… Mama's here" - she said as she extended her hands, with the girl walking towards her and hugging her.
Morgan felt a desire to protect this girl, even though she didn't know who she was. She couldn't explain it either, that feeling of holding someone important next to you, almost like a treasure that she didn't want to let go.
"Mama, I want to be with you and Papa, I want to see the world with you" - the girl whispered into Morgan's ear, the Queen understood what she meant quickly.
"I…" -
Before Morgan could finish speaking, the image of the girl quickly faded out of her hands, and the field of flowers did so as well. Soon, she found herself in the middle of a long white corridor, with Ritsuka standing behind her.
"Are you alright Morgan?" -
"My Husband… Do you know what this place is?" -
"I… I feel like I should, but I…" -
"Senpai" -
A girl's voice sounded away from them, Ritsuka and Morgan turned to look towards the source. The voice was there, but the body wasn't entirely.
"Senpai, we have to-" -
All they could tell about the figure was that it was a woman, and it was talking to Ritsuka.
"She is… Agh!" - he yelled as he held his head in pain and fell to the ground.
Morgan quickly rushed to him and held him, ending the spell before anything could happen to him. They woke up together in the bed, with Ristuka's head still hurting, and Morgan thinking about the girl, now with a clearer mindset.
"My Husband, are you…" -
"I'm fine Morgan, just… Give me some time to rest, my head is killing me" - he said as he closed his eyes and laid down again in bed. Morgan respected his wishes and left him to sleep as she left the room.
Walking through the hallways of the castle, Morgan remembered the last thing the girl said, she said that she wanted to be with Mama and Papa, she wanted to see the world. There was no doubt in her mind, that girl was her and Ritsuka's daughter.
But why did she see her in her dreams? Was that a prophetic dream of sorts? Or was her mind simply playing tricks on her? The second one would be the most likely, since Faes can't reproduce the way humans can, but something about how the girl talked made her feel like it was something that had to happen.
And then… The white hallway, and the voice calling out to Ritsuka, calling him Senpai. She cut off the dream at that moment, as she knew that it had to do with Chaldea, her enemy. If it had been allowed to continue, not even she could predict what would happen next, and thus she stopped it rather quickly.
All she was doing was stopping one of her assets from turning on her and ruining her plans, nothing more than that… Right?
The Queen's mind was a mess like it had never been before, so many thoughts passing through and confusing her to no end, she needed to think about what she would do next.
Sitting on her throne, surrounded by her soldiers and guards, she whispered something only she could understand.
"Would it be possible for me and him to…" -
