Cori was sitting on the couch with April and Casey. Casey was eating a slice of pizza. Cori rolled her eyes as she watched him eats. "Such a slob," she muttered to herself. She changed the channel. "Couldn't you stay on just one channel for five minutes," Raph complained as he flipped a page in his comic book. "Uh huh," she said ignoring him. Mikey groaned. "What is it Mikey," April asked turning around. Mikey was sitting on the floor next to the dojo's entrance. He was holding a water balloon. "When's Leo going to come out? I've been waiting for like one hour." "Mikey, you've been sitting there for fifteen minutes," Raph said.
"Yeah but it feels like an hour," he said. "You know," Casey said while finishing his pizza, "I'd thought you'd do something more… interesting." "Don't you like Space Heroes," Cori said dully. Donatello walked out of the lab and grabbed a slice of pizza from the kitchen. He stopped and stared at the TV. "Don't tell me you're so bored that you're watching Space Heroes," he said. "It's said isn't it," Cori said. Donnie took another bite from his pizza slice and said "Hey Cori. Can I see you in the lab for a second?" "Oh thank you. I don't think I could stand any more of Space Heroes." "Hey Cori, as long as you're up could you grab me some pizza," Casey asked. "No." "Thanks…"
Donnie and Cori walked into the lab together. "What's this about Donnie," Cori said as she sat down. "Well I have a couple of questions and stuff," he said. "Alright, what do you want to ask me?" Donnie sat down in his chair and said "Do you think I have a chance with April?" "Oh no. I'm not getting involved with this." "Oh come on, you got to know. You are mentally linked with her after all. Please?" Cori sighed. "Alright." Cori closed her eyes and accessed April's brain. She sighed again and said "A little, but you got a chance." "Really," he squealed, "Uh, I mean, really?" Cori smiled and said "Yes, really. Is that all you need from me?"
"No actually. I wanted to show you something," he said with a smile. He walked over to his desk and pulled out a drawer. He pulled out a Kraang gun. "So the other day we were on patrol and we ran into the Kraang. So like the nice person I am, I decided I would get a Kraang gun for you to use when you're on patrol. Most of you weapons are melee so it'd be nice to have a long-range weapon. I even customized it to have a blade on the top to stab people with, though I'd prefer you use it on robots and not real people, and it has a power gauge on it. With it you can select from how powerful you want the lasers to be. The more powerful it gets though, the shorter range it becomes. So, what do you think?"
He passed it to Cori for her to hold. "Wow, Donnie you didn't have to do this. I mean I'm glad you did but you didn't need to," she said amazed. Donnie smiled widely and said "Well I thought it'd be nice and I was kind of tired of working on the retro-mutagen so…" "How is the retro-mutagen going anyways," Cori asked. Donnie rubbed his neck and said "Well, not so good. Whenever I seem to have perfected it always falls apart. Literally." He picked up some papers on his desk. "I've been working on some new formulas but I'm not so sure about these. You can look at them if you want."
He passed the papers to Cori. To Cori it was just a bunch of jumbled variables and numbers. "You want to help me? It's kind of lonely when I'm making a retro-mutagen by myself," Donnie suggested. Cori handed back the papers and said "Sure but don't blame me for not understanding a word you say." Donnie and Cori stood up and walked over to the table with the retro-mutagen on it. "Alright, before we start can I ask you another question?" "Sure what is it?" "Do you like Mikey," Donnie asked. "What!? No! Why does everyone ask me that," Cori yelled.
Donnie laughed and said "Oh, there's no particular reason. It's just funny to see you freak out," he said. Cori whacked him on the back of the head. "Ow," Cori said, "I shouldn't have hit you so hard. Now my head hurts." Donnie just laughed some more. "Pass me that vial please," he said, still chuckling. Cori frowned as she passed the vial to Donnie. They heard a loud splash from the other room and Mikey shout "Dr. Prankenstein is back baby!" "Oh Mikey," Donnie mumbled while mixing something, "You are something else."
