I am finally publishing another chapter! Yay I'm awesome plz review and everything, enjoy!

"Your mother… is President Lusimine of the Aether Foundation?" I said slowly. Gladion nodded. "But… she sounds horrible when you describe her like that. And she's not an awful person, she's been my role model for forever!"

"Yeah, she's real nice, as long as you mean nothing to her," Gladion said, turning away and scowling. I stepped closer to him and gently took his hand. I felt shivers all down my spine as our skin made contact. Gladion looked back at me, his face suddenly exhausted.

"Are you okay?" I asked. He shook his head.

"I've never told anyone about my past," he told me. "Not surprising, though, considering it's not very pretty." His voice sounded like he was close to tears. I felt terrible for him.

"Tell me," I said. Our eyes connected. His were the most gorgeous green I had ever, ever seen in my whole entire existence.

Gladion's fingers intertwined with mine. "I do want to tell you something," he said, pulling me closer. Our faces ended up closer than either of us seemed to expect. "I want to tell you everything."

"Everything?" I repeated in a whisper as Gladion's arm hooked around my waist. His face flushed a deep crimson.

"Moon?!" yelped a voice from behind me. Both me and Gladion stepped away from each other instantly, both red with embarrassment. It was Hau.

"Hau… hi…" I said nervously.

"What are you doing? Who is he?" Hau asked immediately.

"Um… his name is Gladion," I said. "We're not doing anything." I was honestly still trying to process what we had been doing. Gladion had come so close… had I enjoyed that?

"Really?" Hau said sceptically.

"What are you doing here?" I asked him, changing the subject purposefully.

"Mallow's requesting your help with auditions, and you weren't answering your phone, so I came looking. I saw you head in this direction after school, so I figured you'd be here."

"Oh. Okay, I'm coming," I said. Hau turned to leave whilst I turned back to Gladion. "I'm sorry, I have to go."

"It's alright," he said. "Um, would you like to meet up again… you know, over the weekend? I've got an errand to run tomorrow, so I won't be at school."

"Sure!" I said, delighted. "Just text me the time and place, and I'll be there! Unless I'm busy, I'll have to check with my mum. Seeya!" I gave his hand a squeeze before following Hau.

Gladion stayed on my mind for the rest of the evening as I helped Mallow practice a scene from Romeo and Juliet for the auditions next week. After that, though, Hau offered to walk me home.

"So… that was the boy in the year above us, wasn't it?" Hau said, thrusting the question upon me as soon as he could.

"What?" I said.

"Your boyfriend."

"He's not my boyfriend!" I yelped, my face flushing. Hau raised an eyebrow.

"His name was Glad-something, right?"

"Gladion," I corrected automatically.

"Well, If he's not your boyfriend, then do you have a crush on him?" Hau asked.

"What? Hau! Why are you asking me this?!" I demanded.

"Because your my best friend and I saw both of you very close in the park. I have a right to know these things!"

"Yeah—well… um…" I realised I didn't know what to say.

"Seriously, what were you two doing?" Hau pushed.

I paused. "I… I don't actually know…" I admitted.

"You don't know," Hau repeated.

"So this is awkward," I said after a minute of silence.

"Yes. I'll see you tomorrow, I guess." We'd reached my house.

"Mm-hm. Um, do you mind not telling anyone about today?"

"Fine, as long as you do it."

I didn't end up telling anyone about Gladion the next day, despite Hau's continuous looks of something caught between disapproval and impatience.

On Saturday, however, I met Gladion at the park again. He didn't seem to notice my arrival at first, too busy with the battle he was having. He wasn't battling a Trainer; he had Umbreon, Lycanroc and a Lucario up against his Type: Null, the Pokémon he was calling commands to.

I watched in silent awe as his other Pokémon (I assumed the Lucario was also his) were able to battle without him. Not only that, but were able to make calculated strategies and decisions, not to mention the teamwork involved.

"Alright, that's enough," Gladion said, beckoning his Pokémon over. "That was incredible!" he congratulated them, smiling. I felt myself smile too. "Lycanroc, you never showed me your amazing team skills, what's that all about?"

"Lycan, lycanroc," Lycanroc growled.

"Umbre!" Umbreon suddenly squeaked, rubbing Gladion's leg to get his attention.

"Hm? What is it?" Gladion said, then looked up. "Oh! Moon! You're here, I didn't notice."

I laughed. "Of course not, you were battling. By the way, you never told me you had a Lucario."

"I did say that Umbreon and Lycanroc weren't my only Pokémon. I do have a Lucario, but it seems you've been fooled by this one," he said.

"What do you mean?"

Gladion grinned. "Zoroark, emerge from the illusion."

Aaand that's all for now, folks! Plz review!
