Donnie sipped some of his coffee. "Come on caffeine, kick in already," he muttered to himself. He passed up Cori's room but then stopped. The door was open and Mikey was sitting next to Cori on the bed. Donnie took another sip of his coffee and said "Mikey, what are you doing?" "Well, I was poking Crow so she would wake up so I could show her this cool video on YouTube but she won't wake up. She just mutters something and rolls over," he said. "Mikey, that usually means that she's trying to fall asleep." "I guess that makes sense. Hey when did Crow change into her PJs?"
"What?" "Well she's in her PJs," Mikey said, "And also she has a bag full of clothing." "What? Don't tell me she snuck out to get some clothing," Donnie said. Donnie walked over to her and felt her forehead. "And of course she has a fever. Mikey go and leave. I'll take care of her." Mikey closed the door as he left. Donnie sat down on the bed and said "Why'd you sneak out last night? Couldn't you have waited at least till morning?" Cori rolled over and ignored him. "Don't ignore me!" "I don't want to talk about it okay?" Donnie sighed. "Please just tell me," he said. Cori sat up and hugged her pillow. "Last night, Leo and I snuck out so I could get some stuff from my house," she said, "And when we got there…"
Cori started to cry. "There were these Purple Dragons and they said that the Kraang kidnapped my mother. And I don't know where she is and my whole world is falling apart!" Donnie set his coffee on the floor and stared at it. "Cori," he said while staring at the cup, "I'm sorry. We should've gone there earlier to save your mother." He turned his face towards her and said "I promise that we'll do everything in our power to save her. But right now, you're sick. And you need rest." Donatello stood up and grabbed his coffee off the floor.
He was about to leave when Cori said "I need you to take a blood sample." "What?" "The other day, the doctor said that there was something wrong with my blood. He didn't tell me what but I want to know what it is. It'll get my mind… off of things." Donnie looked back at Cori. "Alright, I will." He closed the door behind him.
