Cori walked out of the dojo with a yawn. "Is training always that intense?" "It's easier when you're a ninja," Leo said as he sat down on the couch. "So Cori, when do you want to test your blood," Donnie asked. "Test her blood? Donnie if you're gonna ask someone out you can't ask them if you want to test their blood," Raph teased as he sat down on the couch next to Leo. "I'm not asking her out on a date. She just wanted me to test her blood that's all."

"Why?" "Because of, stuff," Donnie said, looking for an excuse. "Wow stuff. That really answers everything. I think you just solved world peace," Raph said. "C'mon Cori," Donnie said as he grabbed her arm, "I can see where I'm not wanted." Donnie began to drag her to the lab when Leo stood up and asked "Cori, should I tell them about… last night?" Donnie stopped and his grip on her weakened. Cori could feel tears start to well up in her eyes at even the mention of last night.

"Uh yeah. Sure," she said as she continued walking to the lab without Donnie. Donnie hurried after her. Cori closed the door to the lab so she wouldn't have to hear them talking about last night. Her grip on the doorknob tightened as she remembered what the purple dragon said about her mother. She didn't want to cry, but she couldn't help it. Everything was going downhill. First her friend goes missing, then her mom, and now the Kraang is hunting her. She didn't even know if her mom was still alive or not. Now she had to live in the sewers. She couldn't even go to school.

She felt a hand on her shoulder. "Cori, it'll get better. I promise. We'll find your mom." Donnie turned her around so she would have to face him. "Just stop crying or you'll make me cry," he joked. Cori smiled as she wiped her eyes. "Let's just get this test over with," she said with a cracked voice. Donnie got a syringe and rolled up Cori's sleeve. He looked at her arm for a vein. Finally he found one and said "You're going to have a bruise here for about a week. Okay?" Cori nodded as he wiped the spot with alcohol and then took her blood. He put a bandage where the wound was and put some of her blood on a Petri dish.

He looked at it through a telescope and gasped. "What, what is it," Cori asked. "I can't believe it. You're a mutant!" "What? Donnie that doesn't make any—" "You have the same DNA as April. Well clearly you can't have the same but you're both half human half Kraang," Donnie said excitedly. "It's awesome isn't it!? I mean it's terrible because you're a rogue experiment which is why they're trying to hunt you down but isn't it great!?" "What?"

Donnie paced back and forth as he said "That's why the Kraang want you. Somewhere a long time ago, the Kraang thought that your DNA would be the one that would perfect the mutagen. But they were wrong. Someone made a mistake because really it's April's DNA that perfects the mutagen. Quick when was the last time you went to the hospital?" "Yesterday," she said. "No I mean before that." Cori thought about it. She never went to the hospital because she got injured. Only to visit people. "Never," she replied.

"Then that means that they lost you, they couldn't find you into the tested your blood in the hospital yesterday. Then they found out about you and they had to make sure no one would find out about your DNA. Then the whole world would know of the Kraang's existence before they wanted them to know. And because they haven't captured you yet they're most likely keeping your mother alive so she can tell them where you are. Which means we have a chance at finding your mother!" Cori's eyes lit up. "Seriously?" "I've never been more serious in my life," Donnie said with a smile.

There was a chance to find her mother after all. She could find her, and then everything would go back to how it was. Cori smiled and hugged Donnie. "Donnie, you're the best turtle out there. Just don't tell the others." Suddenly April burst through the room. "Oh my god, is everyone okay? I got Raph's text and I came as soon as I could. Um, did I come at an awkward time," she said. "I can find my mother April! She's out there!"
