"Ask her, hurry or she's gonna leave and then you'll die all alone. You'll become a crazy cat person from loneliness," Mikey whispered to Raphael. He had overheard Raph's plan of asking out Cori and was pestering him about it for the last five days. "Alright, alright." Raph walked up to Cori. She was sitting on the couch looking at her phone. She looked up and said "Hey Raph, what's up?" "Um, do you uh, want to… Go up to the surface with me to uh, look for presents for the guys. I mean, Christmas is in a couple of weeks and—" "Sure, just let me get my coat."
Cori got up to look for her coat while Mikey took her spot on the couch. "I thought you were going to ask her out, not to go shopping," Mikey said. "I panicked okay? And besides, Splinter said to do hang out with her more before I go out on a date," Raph replied. "Aaawww, are you getting first-date jitters," Donatello teased. "Why don't you shut up before I smash your face into that computer," Raph threatened. Cori came back and put on her coat and said "Ready Raph?" "Uh, yeah. Just a sec." Raph pulled on his jacket and left the lair with Cori.
"A junkyard huh? Wow Raph you really know how to treat a girl," Cori teased. "Well it's not like I can walk into a store and buy the presents, can I now?" Cori climbed over the junkyard's fence and joined Raph on the other side. "So, do you have any presents yet for anyone," Cori asked as she kicked a car part. "No. Usually I just go here and look for stuff that they'd like. Sometimes I have to steal though." "Stealing," she said with a fake gasp, "You're such a rebel." "I know," he said with a smile.
They were digging through the rubble until Raph pulled a DVD case. He looked at it and said "Do you think Leo has 'Space Heroes II: Into the Light?'" "No, he only has the first movie. Or at least that's the only one he watches." "Well, I got one present down now."
Cori sighed and said "This sucks." "What does?" "All of this," she said, "You should be able to go in stores and not have to go through other people's trash. You're good guys. Why can't people just accept you guys as real people?" "I'm kind of glad that I'm not an ordinary person. Ordinary people are no fun." Cori looked at the ground and said "I wish I was ordinary. I wouldn't have to deal with all this Kraang stuff." "But you did, and you changed my life. And the others," he added quickly.
Cori smirked and said "Tomorrow, I want to pick where we go. Something about a junkyard for a date isn't, well, romantic." "What?" Raph was shocked she knew that he wanted to go on a date with her. "You don't have to pretend you don't like me." "How long did you know?" "Well I had my doubts at first. But then I may have stumbled on one of Donnie's memories and saw the guys talking about how you liked me on your birthday. And then I heard Mikey pestering you about asking me out today so…" Raph blushed and said 'Well yeah. I guess it was kind of obvious." "No, Donnie's crush on April is obvious. The only reason why I knew you liked me was because I'm connected to Donnie's memories." "You won't like tell Casey about this will you?" "I kept being Crow a secret from all my friends and even my family. I think I can keep you liking me a secret."
