Dear Raj
I am getting married in 4 months time to Dr. Amy Farrah Fowler, she is a Caltech neurobiologist. I have also invited Howard and Leonard, I do hope that you and your wife can make it.

Dear Sheldon and Amy
Many congratulations on your upcoming wedding, wonderful news. I am afraid that your wedding day coincides with the start of the International Astrophysics Conference, which is taking place this year here in Cambridge. I am chair of the local organising committee and I am giving a keynote lecture, I will be too busy to attend your wedding.
Hope to see you this side of the pond some time soon.

4 months later, on the day of Sheldon and Amy's wedding, Raj gave the opening address at the International Astrophysics Conference.
"Welcome one and all to Cambridge and the 15th International Astrophysics Conference. I am Dr. Rajesh Koothrappali of the University of Cambridge, I am chair of the local organising committee. Astrophysics here in Cambridge has a long and distinguished history going back over 300 years to Isaac Newton working out the laws of gravity…"
One week later at the closing session of the conference Raj gave the closing address.
"Thank you to our Swedish colleagues for their presentation. I would like to thank you all for attending this conference and I would to thank everyone who helped to organise the events of the last week, especially Jane Riley and her team from the University of Cambridge conference office. I now declare this conference closed and I hope to see you in Stockholm in 2 years time for the 16th International Astrophysics Conference."
When it was all over Raj sought out his wife and gave her a big hug. On their way out of the auditorium they bumped into Professor Anderson.
Anderson shook hands with Raj "Congratulations Raj, well done in organising a great conference."
"Thank you Professor, do you remember my wife."
"Of course, nice to see you again Samina."
Samina replied "Thank you Professor, now the conference is over I am glad to get my husband back, good day to you."
As they left the building Samina continued "I have got a reservation at our favourite restaurant, Sunil is expecting us….."
