"Hi..." She giggled playfully as she waves cutely at a horrified Damian. There was a moment of uncomfortable silence as the two sat silent staring into each others eyes.

"Holy fuck!!" Damian immediately pulled his body towards a corner and raises his hand. A red aura started engulfing his hand as heat starts building up at his palms. The heat quickly builds up into a red fireball before it bursts out in the direction of the angel.

"Huh?" The angel was baffled as it was hit with the fireball and a large explosion ensued knocking out most of the furniture and setting them up ablaze.

Meanwhile, Damian was still sat in the corner with smoke coming out of his arms. His eyes bulge as he realised the destruction he had just caused. He immediately looked at his hand in shock before looking back in front of him. He thought he has made sure that his magic would only burn the angel, not blow up his entire room. He was breathing loudly while his eyes wildly search the area covered in smoke, looks for the angel. After the smoke dies out, he looks around to see no one. He breathes a sigh of relief as he drops his hands on the floor.

"Wow! Is that how you demons say hi?" The angel suddenly said from besides him.

Damian immediately jumped to his side and raises his arms again directly at the direction of the voice building up the fireball again.

"Nonono wait wait wait! I've come in peace. There's no need for any more explosions... well... not like it'll do anything anyways!" The angel explained with a beaming smile.

"Who... who the fuck are you?!! How did you get in my room?!!" Damian asks cautiously as he still aimed his hand at the angel, shaking a bit.

"Who am I? You brought me here! Don't you remember me?" The angel asked while tilting her head cutely at his confusion.

"Yes I fucking remember you... but... y-you died!!!" Damian yells at her loudly.

"Oh... well... there's a really good explanation for that!" She shrugs it off as if it wasn't important.

Suddenly, she stands up making Damian charge his hand even more.

"Calm down silly!!" She shrugs him off before suddenly skipping around his room.

"Nice room... could use a bit more décor though and... umm... a little less red! Ooh, Muppets!!" She giggles at him as she continues fumbling around his room. She then quickly dashed towards his Muppets poster and looks at it.

"Who the hell are you?!!" Damian asks again loudly this time clearly annoyed.

"Oh well, I'm...

As she was about to explain, suddenly his door bursts wide open as it broke and was send flying across his room.

"What the?!!" Damian immediately ducked avoiding being knocked out by the flying door.

From the location of where the door used to be came a lady with pale skin and pink hair. She wore a revealing pink dress and her hands was transformed into a saw. This was Tentadora, one of Damian's caretakers.

"Damian where's the danger?!!" She immediately asks him before kneeling in front of him.

"Are you hurt?!! Was someone here?!!" She asks him concerned as she points out at his bare chest.

"Da-danger?" Damian asks baffled by her sudden intrusion.

"Yes there was a loud explosion! And my sensors indicated another presence nearby so I ran straight here!!" Tentadora explained.

"There's this...

Damian pointed out at the direction of where the angel was but was stumped as she wasn't there.

"What?" Tentadora asks him as she turns her gaze at the location he pointed but there was nothing there.

As he was about to explain about the angel who intruded into his bedroom, he suddenly thought off the incident. That gem seem valuable and she gave it to him to protect it. There were people who'd kill for the gem, maybe it wasn't the best choice to tell anyone about it and he doesn't want to endanger Tentadora. Even if he told Tentadora about her, it's not like she'll believe him. The castle's defenses was impenetrable, no one would be stupid enough to try and hurt him. He would just look like he's crazy. Plus, something about all this seemed larger than him. Should he actually tell her about the angel?

"Its...

"It's... nothing!" Damian suddenly says to Tentadora.

"What?" She asks confused.

"Look, it's nothing alright! My magic went out of control and I accidentally blew up the room!!" Damian lies to her as he tries to keep a straight face.

"But I'm fine now alright!" Damian adds.

"Are you sure?"

Damian nods while avoiding eye contact with her. Tentadora immediately switches off her battle mode as her hands transforms into her normal hands. She then place one of her hands on Damian's shoulder.

"Look at me!" She says to him. Damian slowly moves his face until his eyes met hers.

"Is there something you wanted to tell me?" Tentadora urge him.

"It's nothing alright, I'm fine, it was just an accident!!" Damian insists.

"Alright if you say so!" She then stands up before looking at him closely.

"Hmmm..." She suddenly hums in front of him as she stares at him for a long time.

"W-what?" Damian asks as he felt uncomfortable.

"Have you been working out? You look amazing!!" Tentadora compliments making Damian's cheek flushed.

"It's... nothing alright... I just... jog a little!" Damian lies to her clearly feeling embarrassed as she just continues to stare at his body.

"Well anyway... Damian, you seriously need to get your magic in order. You know your father would be pissed if he finds out you're unable to do so. He might even forbid you to leave this place if you do so!" Tentadora advices as she walks slowly towards the broken door. She then lifts it with ease before making her way through the empty door spot.

"Yeah, yeah I know but it's like you're any better!" Damian scoffs as Tentadora herself just bursted into his room almost knocking him out.

"Hey! I was doing my job alright! Plus, it's not my fault that they made this things so damn flimsy!!" She complains as she places the door back in place, fixing it a bit making sure it fit.

"See, all better now!" She smiles at him.

Damian just slaps his head and groans out annoyed.

"Just fucking knock next time will ya?" Damian groans as he massages his temples.

"Why? Need a little privacy for your daily-

"Just!!! Leave... will ya!" Damian stops her from going further.

"Just saying..." She shrugs it off and playfully walks away. Suddenly, her head pops out from behind the door.

"Oh yeah, the king and queen wants to see you in an hour!" Tentadora says before she leaves him.

After a while, Damian peeks his head through his room to see if she had left. After he had confirmed it, he sat on the edge of his bed as he sighs heavily.

"Wow! You really have a chaotic life!!" The angel suddenly pops out from besides him making his flinch sideways to the corner of his bed.

"Fuck! Can you stop doing that?!" Damian yells at her in frustration.

"Stop what?" She asks him.

"Just...fucking... popping out of nowhere! Stop it alright!!" Damian explains to her.

"Alright! Alright! Jeez, no need to get so uptight mr... what was your name again?" She asks him.

"It's just Damian and... can you like... not talk so loud? I don't want Tentadora coming and bursting into my room again!"

"Oh her, nah... you don't have to worry about it. I have put a barrier around this room. No one will be able to hear our conversation from now on but... this is the last time I'll be able to do it!" She explains to him as she sat right next to him on the bed. Both of them sat silent before Damian opens his mouth.

"What are you?" Damian asks her.

"What am I?!! Silly, don't you know what an angel is?" She asks him with a proud tone.

"Look, I know you're an angel! Just that... I saw you died!!! You were dead and you disappeared!!" Damian says in disbelief.

"Died??" She puts on a confused look.

"YES!!!"

"Oh... you mean this body... that's why you didn't recognize me!!" The angel sounded as if she figured it out.

"What'd you mean?"

Suddenly, the angel was engulfed in a bright white light. Suddenly, her body starts dematerialising as the brightness gets concentrated on her center. Suddenly, there was only a single light before the light poofs out and there was something in the middle. It was a familiar white gem. It was the gem she had given him before.

"Wait... so you're...

"Yes that is correct, I am the Holy Gemstone thag is passed on to you!!" She explains.

"Passed... on?" Damian asked confused.

"Yes since the previous owner is no longer capable of synthesizing with me, she has transferred my ownership towards you!!"

"Synthesizing?" Damian asks perplexed about the technical terms she was using.

"Wow, you're not very bright are you?" She makes fun of him but Damian kept a serious look.

"Well on a simpler term, sharing one's life force... Since my previous owner had her life force capacity reach zero when she sustained a fatal injury, she had to transfer my ownership to another person on the spot, in which case, you!" The gemstone explains in a cheerful voice.

"So... she... still died...?" Damian suddenly says sounding sad. The gemstone detected his sorrow and responded.

"Yes... sadly..." The gemstone replied in a soft voice.

Damian was a bit glad when he saw her. At least it meant she didn't die in his arms. But sadly that wasn't the case. The gemstone just played along with Damian's silence and waited. After a while, Damian spoke again.

"So... what exactly are you? What's going on?!!" Damian asks the gemstone.

"Well first of all, I could explain what I am but... it would take years to fully understand it so I'll simply explain the gyst of what I am!" The gemstone floats around Damian before stopping directly in front of his face.

Damian's ear perks as he kept a focused look.

"I am what you call, a holy gemstone or to be precise, The Holy Gemstone. I don't remember of how I came to be but suddenly I was just... there. Centuries ago I was given life. But what my sight laid upon was dreadful. It was just death... living beings, nature, angels and demons. It was pure chaos, truly a time of darkness."

"The Old Wars..." Damian pieces it together with the information she gave.

"You're correct... However, the only thing I could do was watch. Everyday, I had to hear the screams of pain and sight of blood. I wished it would be over and then... my wish came true. My first bearer or 'master' came to me. He tore open the dark space I was living in and freed me. I couldn't even remember who they were anymore... it was such a long time ago!" She suddenly sounds nostalgic.

"They asked me if I wanted to stop the war, bring peace. They asked me to lend my help in ending the bloodbath. I couldn't say no. With my help, they gained immense power and with that, the war ended. However, nothing can be gained without sacrifice... they died and I was all alone again... But then, bright wings descended from the sky and took me, soon, I become a treasure for the angels!"

"Centuries pasts as I got passed on, generation by generation between the angels. It had been a long time before a bright and pure light suddenly shined in my eyes, as I laid them upon a cute little girl, a wee angel... I heard I was given to her as a present from her parents and I swore to aid her till her last breath. That girl was the angel you saw..."

"I...I'm sorry!" Damian raises his head and spoke with pity in his voice.

"It's alright, it was a great life while it lasted... and now my new life starts... with you..."

Damian tries to process the information he just heard. Every bit of it. Turns out, the gemstone had existed since the Old Wars and was probably why it ended. Something like this was so powerful but they kept it's presence hidden for a very long time. Why?

"So, let me get this straight, you've existed since the Old Wars?"

"Pretty much yeah!" She answers nonchalantly

"And you don't remember who your first owner is?" Damian asks it again.

"Well, not entirely... I still remember their faces a bit... maybe... I don't know kid! It was a long time ago!" The gemstone explains.

"So basically you're a talking magical... rock... with memory problems?" Damian asks her.

"Okay, that's true but... the way you've said it's kind of offensive to be honest! The gemstone answers.

"Then, what does this have anything to do with me?" Damian asks it.

Suddenly, the gemstone bursts out in a white light almost blinding Damian at the spot but he managed to close his eyes in time. The white light suddenly forms a shape that Damian could make out. The gemstone suddenly transforms back into it's angel form before the shine subsides. Damian lowers his hand and gazed upon her again but this time, he felt different. The angel didn't put on her usual happy-go-lucky attitude but wore a serious expression.

"If you receive this message, it means that I am dead and the ownership of the gem is passed onto you!" The angel suddenly says in a serious voice.

"You are now the sole owner of The Holy Gemstone, one of the many remnants of The Old Wars."

"I'm sorry but why did you give it to me?" Damian asks the angel.

"I know... you might be wondering why the gemstone was given to you. A suitable explanation if it's not passed on consensually is that I have perished and you are the most trustworthy person I believe capable to protect the gemstone."

"W-wait protect? You mean from those people?!!" Damian asks sounding confused.

"The gemstone is a source of power. My family have been keeping it hidden for hundreds of years making sure it doesn't fall into the wrong hands. And now the responsibility is on you! Yes, the forces of darkness will try to regain control of their power. Those people are just one of many!"

"This... this is bullshit! I didn't agree to this. I wouldn't have helped you if I knew my life would be in danger! Fuck!! I knew I shouldn't have helped!!" Damian immediately regrets his decision. Not only was he risking his life, but probably the lives of the people he cares about.

"I know..." The angel suddenly spoke in a soft voice which gained his attention.

"I know you probably are confused and perhaps angry with the situation. I know that perhaps this isn't what you want but... I'll promise you this. I won't do what I did if I think it wasn't important for the safety of the world. What was given to me and now given to you is bigger than the both of us. It isn't fair... you are right. But the fact that I've given it to you means that I fully trust in your abilities to keep it safe. Dark times has once plagued our world and one day darkness may once again return and with that stone, you have the power to change everything."

Damian was about to flip off but he composed himself when he heard those words.

"A personal message to the owner. They were a good friend to me and I'm sorry if our companionship ended so soon but I had done everything in my power to protect it and now you have someone else to look after, to start over with a new friendship. To the person who has received this gemstone, I want you to know that you are not alone. When the darkness blinds your vision, there's always light to guide you through the darkness. May this light be in your favour and most importantly may it guide you to a better world. Remember, nobody... is alone. Not even a demon!"

This made Damian's ear perk as he gazes at the angel. Now, she carves a beautiful smile before moving closer towards him. She suddenly kneels and puts her hand on his cheek. Damian knew she was a transparent figure but he somehow could still feel the warmth.

"Thank you for being there at my death. Even if my end was inevitable, your kindness and your desire to help me shows that you were qualified to wield the gemstone. I know you feel as if you're the last person I should trust with something like this but trust me, the kindness I saw wasn't present in other demons. You... are special. With the powers I've granted you, you are now officially the owner of The Holy Gemstone. You might feel scared and afraid but trust me when I say you have nothing to fear. I wish you good luck and most importantly, Thank You!"

Damian just stares at her face as he was speechless and didn't know what to say.

"This message will now end and cannot be replicated or replayed in any way!" The angel suddenly says in a monotonous voice before is shines brightly again transforming back into it's gem form.

"Wooh!!" That was a lot!" The gem says happily as it shakes itself and bits of stardust falls of it. It then turns to see Damian still in his shocked expression. It floats until it's directly in front of Damian's face.

"You're okay kid?" It asks him in a concerned voice.

"Y-yeah. It's just a lot to take in..." Damian says before crashing himself on his bed staring at the ceiling.

"Look, I know this isn't something a kid like you can hadle so I'd understand if you feel afraid!" The gem transforms into an angel and sat besides him.

"I am afraid!! Of everything!! Back then, I almost died!! Now, I have to risk everything for something that I wasn't even supposed to be part off!" Damian bursts out with rage.

"Then, what will you do?!!" She asks him.

"I...I... I don't know..." Damian gives up as he just looks down at the floor.

"Look... ki- I mean Damian... I know all of this is confusing... and sudden...

"Yeah! No kidding!!" Damian replies sarcastically.

"But... I know you have been searching for something your whole life! Something that is different, something to prove that you're different!" She explains.

"You don't know who I am!! You don't know what I want!!"

"I know a person seeking for redemption when I see one. And you... you're not afraid to be redeemed! Maybe the path ahead is dangerous, but maybe it's also your path to someone greater! Maybe what you seek is right in front of you all along!" She adds with a soft voice as Damian turns to her.

"How would you know?" Damian asks her before he felt her fingers wrapping under his chin and pulling his face facing her.

"It's your eyes! They might be as dark as demons are but... there's a soft warm flame. A soothing warmth, different from the others! You... are special!" She says with a smile.

"Look, I get it if you're not convinced-

"I'll do it!"

"Say that again?" The gemstone asks him for confirmation.

" I'll do it!! " Damian repeats.

Suddenly the angel ascends in elation before landing on Damian's bed and hugs him tightly.

"Okay, okay! You don't have to get all touchy-feely!" Damian complains but he was blushing madly at her touch since he never been hugged by a girl before.

"Ohh, killjoy!" The angel pouted as it sat on his bed.

"Though, I am curious... Why?" She asks him.

"Look... it's dangerous... and I really wanted to take it all back... but... you're right! Maybe the answer is in front of me all along. Even though, it isn't my responsibility... I couldn't just run you know!" Damian explains as the angel puts on a confused look.

"Look, I was happy when I got to the surface. I found friends and their probably the only family I have so... if it means that I'll have to risk myself to protect them, I'll do it!"

"Plus, I don't want to see you moping around if I refused and...!" Damian jokes to which she pouts.

"And?" She smiles at him.

"It's a first time a girl had ever asked me to do something alright? So, I'm not sure what to do!"

"Aww, is someone flustered by a girl's touch?" She teases him to which he growls at her.

"Fuck off!"

He then stayed silent before looking at her dead in the eye.

"But promise me this!" Damian suddenly says which caught her attention.

"Your owner said if anything should happen, you'll help me right? So promise me... that if anything dangerous... should happen, you'll be there to help me, okay?!" Damian asks her extending his hand.

She smiles before reaching for his hand, grabbed it and shaking it.

"Deal!!" She beams.

"So... what should I call you... master?" She asks Damian.

"Master Damian? Or your highness?" She asks him again giddily.

"Ughh, just Damian is fine!" Damian cringes at the titles she suggested.

"Then what about you?" Damian asks her as she made a confused expression.

"I don't know... I never had a real name... My previous owner just called me Gem..." She explains.

Damian tries to think of a name but he wasn't sure. Suddenly, a though came into his mind.

"Then, what was her name? Since you'll just take her form, it'll be perfect right?" Damian suggests.

She smiles brightly.

"Alright, then, call me..."
