I hold her hand as we walk to the cafeteria. I let go and slowly walk away. I look back at her as I walk away.

"You will see her again, I promise." Jasper said.

We walk out the door and get into a black Bentley, with blacked out windows.

We arrive at a restaurant.

"You told me in your letter you were craving Sushi. So, I thought you might like this place. The humans were saying good things about here." Jasper says while parking the car. He speeds around to open my door and help me out. He leads me to the restaurant. We go in and are seated at a booth. They hand him a menu. They don't give me one though. I look at him confused.

"It's because I am a vampire. They will hand me the menu. It's a respect thing." He tells me handing me the menu.

I look at the menu and thinking about ordering the teriyaki sushi.

"What are you going to order?" Jasper asks as I put my menu down in front of my closed. I know he has to order for me, so his question makes sense.

"The teriyaki roll." I tell him "It's my favorite."

"Really?" He asks, "Well I'm glad I brought you here then." I give him a small shy smile.

"Me too." I confirm.

The waitress comes back to take our order. "What can I get for you?" She asks while clearly checking out Jasper.

"You can get my lovely mate a teriyaki roll, and myself an O negative." He tells her. Not even looking at her. He takes my hands in his above the table and just looks into my eyes. He gives me a smile. I blush. The waitress leaves. Clearly, she didn't like being ignored.

Jasper will only give attention to those he deems worthy. From what we learned in our class it has more to do with their attitude and emotions and less to do with there perceived rank.

I wonder what I will be like as a vampire. I know for the first year I will be wild and out of control. But it is also taught in training that if the human is eased into the turn meaning they are taught everything they will need to do before hand they are easier to control and don't lose their tempers as often. they still lose their tempers, just not as often. I really hope I am one of the more controlled newborns. I know Jasper won't let me be completely out of control. Him and his coven have been raising newborns for over a century. So, I know they will have no problem with me and Ares at all. I hope I don' eat any of the staff. I know Jasper would be upset if I did.

Our food comes and we quickly dig in. I eat using chop sticks.

"Can you actually eat using those?" Jasper asks watching me.

"Yes, I can. it's not as hard as it looks." I tell him showing him. he takes a pair of them and starts to play with them. I show him how to hold them he tries to pick up one of my rolls and drops it. he pouts and I chuckle. I keep eating until there is only one roll left. He drinks his blood pretty quickly. He keeps trying to use the chop sticks trying to get it. until he finally does. He looks up at me and smiles.

"Great job!" I tell him I eat the last roll. He smiles very proud of himself.

He settles the bill, and we leave. I know we will have to go on an airplane. I haven't been on an airplane since I was a little kid.

"Your brother was apparently frightened of the plane. Don't be I am right here. I will make sure nothing happens to you." Jasper reassures.

"Ares didn't like the plane?" I ask as we drive up to the airport.

"No, he apparently didn't. He was only on one once to come out to the farm. Other then that he hasn't been on one. Peter was also the one to come get him. I didn't meet him till he got to the farm." Jasper tells me. We go into the airport and go to a tube then I step into the plane. This is weird. We go sit down with lots of other humans and vampires.

"Vampires travel night and day, humans only travel during the day. It is against regulation for humans to travel after dark. they must be home by sunset everyday." He tells me.

"Yeah," I say remembering my regulation class. "it's for the humans safety. Vampires are more likely to attack at night where they will be less spotted. It is because of the many years of only going out at night. Vampires are creatures of habit. They rarely change and if they do it takes something big to change them." I explain to him.

"Very good" Jasper encourages. "You know your stuff. I'm glad I sent you to that mate school. I knew that you would be treated fairly and learn everything you need to. The Volturi know how to train mates. The Cullen's school for mates. Shows a lot more favoritism. they also don't teach as much. Those are the mates we tend to get at the farm. The mate learns just how little their mate truly knows and they get sent to us." Jasper breaks down for me.

"Well, thank you. I enjoyed growing up in the Volturi school of mates. It is really good. I learned so much, gained friends and I wasn't treated different. We don't know our mates till we meet them. We aren't really allowed to talk about our mates. On the off chance that it could lead to someone finding out something and you get treated different." I tell him.

"I read in the rules at your school about that. That is why I only signed my initials. I do have a letter for you at the farm that I wrote for you when I met you as a baby. I meant to give it to Heidi knowing she would make sure you got it at the right time. But I couldn't part with it." He tells me. I start to yawn.

"Go to sleep, my mate. I will be here when you wake up." He tells me. "We can talk more then."

I close my eyes and lean into his side. I fall asleep quickly.
