Previously:
"I read in the rules at your school about that. That is why I only signed my initials. I do have a letter for you at the farm that I wrote for you when I met you as a baby. I meant to give it to Heidi knowing she would make sure you got it at the right time. But I couldn't part with it." He tells me. I start to yawn.
"Go to sleep, my mate. I will be here when you wake up." He tells me. "We can talk more then."
I close my eyes and lean into his side. I fall asleep quickly.
I wake up in a bed. The sun has risen. I roll over and see I am in a room. There are multiple doors. I get up and start opening them. One of them lead to a washroom. Two more lead to closets. One of the last doors leads out to a hall. I open the last door and see an office. I see Major Whitlock sitting at his desk.
"Mate, you are awake." Major says getting up and pulling me into his arms. "How was your sleep?"
"It was peaceful." I say. "I do miss the academy. It will take some time getting used to no longer being there."
"I do believe you are correct. But I hope you will come to love it here at the farm." Major says to me.
He holds me close and gives me a kiss. "I know I will come to love it with you and Ares both here." I tell him.
"Ares will be getting back from his chores, shortly. Do you want to go see him?" Major asks me.
"Yes, I do!" I tell him excitedly. I start vibrating with excitement. Unable to contain myself. I really miss my brother.
"Alright, calm down. We should get you breakfast." Major tells me.
"Okay." I tell him. He leads me to the dining area. I see servant running around. They seem to be all wearing collars around their necks.
"What are the collars for?" I ask him.
"After reuniting with your brother, we will head back to my office. I will go over rules and different things you need to be aware of. But right now, let's not ruin our breakfast with that." He tells me sitting down and pulling me into his lap sideways.
"Yes sir." I say leaning into his chest.
The food comes out it is waffles. He cuts it up and feeds me. He begins to purr while he is feeding me. From what I remember a mate does that when they are comforting their mate and when they are happy. Only the dominant mate purrs. I wonder which reason he is purring for me. Maybe it is both. The dominant mate does like to care for the submissive one. Providing for them and such.
"Athena!" I hear just as I finish up eating. I see a man standing in the doorway.
"Go on. Say hi to Ares." Major says probably sensing my uncertainty. It has been years since I have seen him. He probably knew it was me because I am in Major's lap.
I jump up and run over. Hugging him tightly to me. He does that same.
"Ares." I whisper quietly.
"I'm here Athena. I'm never leaving you again. We are back together and a coven." He tells me.
"You are already a part of the coven?" I ask him.
"Yeah, I received my crest on our birthday as my gift." He tells me.
"I am so happy for you Ares." I tell him. Giving him another hug. "I really did miss you terribly."
"I missed you like crazy too." He tells me. I pull away and step into the Major's arms again.
"How did your chores go this morning? Little trouble?" Major asks him.
"No sir. No trouble at all. Everything was actually a little too quiet if you understand. I do suspect it is because they are all expecting your mate to be here, but it could also be for other reasons. I will keep a closer eye." My brother tells him.
"I will tell Peter and Charlotte. We will all keep a closer eye just in case. Better to be too careful when it comes to her." Major says as they both look down at me.
"That is true. My sister is well worth the extra precaution." Ares tells him. "I may tell you this lots Jasper, but I am glad she is your mate."
"I am too. I am quite luck to have her." He says looking down at me. "We should head up to my office. I can go over the rules for her and run her through all the stations. I know you have gone over some stuff with her in your letters, but I think we should go over more. Charlotte and Peter will be up there shortly. With there chores finished."
He brings us up to his office. I see a male vampire with a female vampire in his lap. My brother sits in the other chair.
"That is Peter and Charlotte." Jasper says taking me and putting me on his lap as he sits in his chair behind his desk. "Now the rules, One. You are to always stay away from the newborn quarters. Two. You are to listen to Peter and Charlotte when they are telling you things in concern to your health and safety. Three. You are to listen to Charlotte she will be teaching you how to run the house. Are we clear mate?"
"Yes sir." I say quietly.
"Good, my little mate. Now I shall tell you about the staff. You will have the lowest slaves. They will just have their crest collar on. The ones a little higher will have their collars and station clothing. The soldiers have their red uniforms. The newborns have clothes that are generally ripped they are wild and well you shouldn't run into them. Then of course you have us. We are well dressed, and we were our crests. You will wear your crest at all times outside the manor house." Major continues.
"Yes sir." I tell him again.
Charlotte stands up and walks over holding a box.
"This is your crest." Major says taking the box from Charlotte and putting it in front of me. He opens it. it holds a necklace with the Whitlock crest on it. "The women wear necklaces, and the men wear leather bands on our wrists."
"Thank you." I tell him. He moves my hair to the side of my neck and puts the necklace on me. He then kisses my neck while I touch the crest. I turn around to hug him. I am so happy to finally be a part of a family.
They start discussing plans for the day. The boys discussing different things that they need to teach the newborns.
"The Cullen's mate will be joining us at the training school tomorrow." Charlotte told the boys.
"That is right. She will be staying in the manor. She is after all the Cullen boy's mate." Major says.
"In the manor!" Charlotte says gasping.
"Yes, in the manor Charlotte. She is of higher standard then the other girls. She also bullied the girls in her other school. That is how she got away with learning nothing." Major tells her. "She needs the firm hand of all of us in this house. Especially you Charlotte. So, well you are teaching my lovely mate you will be teaching her as well."
"Me? Teach both? At the same time?" Charlotte questions.
"Yes, I do believe you can handle it. My mate needs to know her station and the Cullen mate needs to have a firm hand. You do offer that at the times when it is called for. I will do my best to step in when need be. I will leave Peter here more often than not to help you out as well." Major explains to Charlotte.
"Peter you will be staying by the house tomorrow. Today is a day of relaxation for my mate and I we are going on a date this afternoon that will run into the evening." Major tells Peter.
"Sounds good Major. I will take some time with my mate as well. Ares can take the day to relax as well." Peter says.
"That sounds like a great idea." Major tells him. We all get up and Ares, Charlotte, and Peter all leave. "I will let you get changed for our date."
"I will do just that." I tell him heading to go get changed.
