Underleague

Chapter 32

Author Notes: Goodbye deadly heat waves and obnoxious humidity-hellooo crisp purified air and chill sunshine~ Not that Frisk will get any of that...she's still in Snowdin afterall. Last time Frisk and Robin met up and planned on heading to the pokemon center.

Let's see what happens. Will we finally get our long desired gym battle? Will Frisk get her second gym battle? What new pokemon will she meet? I do not own Undertale or Pokemon.

3rd P.O.V

The time had come. "Ok Frisk. Are you ready?" The stage was set in front of the pokemon center. "Yes!" She stood proud and tall across from Robin. She was Determined to do this. Swiftly she lifted her cup alongside the second level gym leader.

"Time to dig in~ Cheers!" With gusto the pair dug into the still hot treats they received from Rosemary. "Geez you guys are so weird." Maxie smiled from behind his coffee mug. Glad for the little surprise that came with his break.

Robin gave his friend a smirk. "No one can resist Ms. Roses' sweets. Let's not forget who was jumping for joy five minutes ago when we came with your snacks." Frisk giggled as the two young adults bickered away.

She could only shake her head at the pair as she gave a piece of her cinnabun to Eve. "So you're going to battle my little buddy Robin? I'd watch out if I were you. She's one tough cookie!" Robin chuckled as he took a sip of his drink.

"Oh don't worry-I believe you but more than that, I'm looking forward to it." Frisk took a sip of her own drink, sighing happily as warmth spread to her frozen limbs. "Um...Robin? Do you think we could postpone the battle for a little while?"

Personally Frisk didn't think she was ready yet. And she told him this-especially since she got that new book. She only had a chance to skim through a couple pages-but she really wanted to go through it.

Maybe she'd even find some new ideas to help with training her pokemon. "Sure. My team could use a little break." Robin drooped a little bit, feeling a tab bit disappointed.

But he could wait. Max snickered in the background before finishing his drink. "Well if that's the case, hand over your pokemon Rob, I'll take care of them while your here." The blue haired man opened his mouth, remembering that was one of the reasons he came here in the first place.

"Thanks man." Frisk watched with observant eyes a slight blush on Robins' face as he handed over his poke-partners. Frisk couldn't help but grin, moving her eyebrows suggestively when Robin caught her gaze.

Making the poor man nearly choke! "Well I'll see ya in a bit Maxie-Frisk make sure to message me when you're ready-ok bye!" The poor nice cream maker ran for the snowy plains, horribly embarrassed that he was being teased by a ten year old. And that it was affecting him!

Max bemused with the randomness of his friend's escape he simply shrugged it off and stood. "I'll see ya around little buddy." Shuffling his feet he quickly went back inside. Presumably to clock back into work.

Leaving Frisk to giggle-she totally shipped them! "Ok Eve. Let's go over the book Ms. Rosemary gave us and see if we can come up with some new ideas." Holding the book tightly to her chest she makes a beeline for the woods.

"Medicham forcepalm and slaking use faint attack!" The little trainer paused in her movements as grunts and battle cries catches her ears. Slowly, as her feet crunches the hardened ice and snow she makes her way to a clearing. "Again!"

Quietly she gasps as she notices two pokemon engaging in combat. With a single individual in the center, shouting out commands and criticisms. Hiding slightly behind a tree, Frisk takes out her pokedex, listening to the recorded data.

Medicham-the meditate pokemon and the evolved form of meditite. Through rigorous yoga training and starvation this pokemon was able to develop psychic powers and a strong sixth sense. It is believed they can see auras and use it to unleash devastating attacks.

Slaking-the lazy pokemon and the evolved form of vigoroth. Considered the world's most slothful pokemon slaking tend to stay in one spot, munching on the grass within reach. The only times it moves is when there is no more food or when it is in danger. When in danger it releases all the energy and power it was saving up.

Both monkey pokemon displayed tremendous amounts of power as they clashed. Skirting back several feet each time they collided. "Now slaking use rest! And medicham use psych up." Glancing around Frisk took in the power these two fully evolved pokemon could do.

Several trees had collapsed into the ground if not had huge gaping dents in their thick, sturdy trunks. Frozen grass had been revealed as several layers of snow lay in multiple lumps.

"Hey!" Frisk flinched, brought back from her musings. "Kid it's dangerous here, you shouldn't be hiding around." She bit her lip slightly as she approached the trainer. Now that she was closer, she was able to better see the individual working with his pokemon.

It was an older man, with wavy peppered hair and a graying mustache. He was leaning on his wooden cane with one hand, while dusting off some snowflakes from his black suit. "Sorry sir. I was heading into the forest to do some training when I heard you shouting."

He grunts at her answer. "I see, though I understand your curiosity, I do ask you to leave as I have more training to do. Medicham and slaking take a breather." At his command the pair relax their stances.

"Can I watch you Mr.?" The elderly gentleman barks out a laugh. "My name is Peter young one and did I not just say it's dangerous here? I've come all the way from Hoene to train in this artic terrain and though I do not wish to be rude I no longer wish to have my training disrupted." Regardless the man was rude.

Though the poetic words eased the harshness slightly Frisk found herself fidgeting in place, feeling anxiety quell in her chest. "Please Mr. Peter sir! I'm going to be going for a gym battle in a few days and I'm worried I won't do well. Please let me watch you!"

Peter stood there, analyzing the young one standing before him. A second passed, then another before sighing and giving her a small smile. "I'm not sure what watching could do for you but I suppose it won't be any harm-just stay out of the battle zone you hear?" The brunette nods-grateful.

"Thank you!" Immediately she scurries to find a cozy spot on the ground, bringing out all of her pokemon companions. Peter raised an eyebrow at the child. "An interesting array of pokemon you have there." He'd have to admit the elder man was surprised.

Either the child was very lucky or very skilled to have the team she had. An eevee, krabby, mimikyu and abra were in their own rights unique or difficult to come by. But for a little girl to obtain them all and each of them comfortably nestling against her made Peter curious.

Wondering why she would feel worried about a gym battle. Regardless of her concerns, he didn't ask for clarification. Instead he returns to the task at hand. Clearing his throat Peter brings out another pokeball.

"Come forth! Kecleon!" Tossing it into the air, and that familiar flash of white revealed another new pokemon. "Kecleon use camouflage!" Frisk lifted her dex once more, taking in the new lizard pokemon that stuck out its tongue before changing colors. Its dark green shifting to a pale blue.

Kecleon-the color swap pokemon. Kecleon are able to alter its colors at will to blend in to its environment as well as sneak up on prey. Though the zigzag pattern on its belly will stay the same regardless.

Nodding his head he clapped his hands, bringing his pokemon to attention. "Now use slash kecleon! Slaking body slam while medicham you use jump kick!" Frisk stared at the group, not missing a single detail as they used their moves.

The pokemon weren't battling per say as they were more or less practicing their attacks. Improving their accuracy, speed and power. Peter kept his gaze entirely on his team, only speaking to correct something or change up the move.

Sometimes he would make them target the trees in the area. Comparing the damage from previous moves, before forcing a mini spar between each other-only for them to go back to self-training.

And whenever one of his pokemon found themselves struggling, he was there, going over the technique. Practice, practice and practice some more. Peter was precise and patient, allowing good periods of breaks when the trio of pokemon became too tired or found themselves unable to focus.

After hours of studying the hoene trainer and his group Frisk finally rose. Feeling her deus ex machina vibrating in her pant pocket. No doubt it was from her mother or brother who was wondering where she was.

"Thank you again mister!" Peter didn't bother looking up at the girl, actually she was so quiet that he forgot she was even there. "Have a safe journey home. Stay out of trouble!"

Giggling Frisk returned her friends back into their pokeballs before making her way back to Sans' house. By the time she got back it would be time for dinner, where she would be able to relax, get ready for bed and then read Ms. Rosemary's book.

To be continued

Author Notes: So...yeah...i ship bp and nice cream dude and I have no shame! Absolutely none! And now we got a new character~ Meet Patient Peter! I had planned on introducing the quote on quote '6 souls' from the game for awhile. But i will admit i wasn't sure how it was going to go.

Fortunately for me my co-author Sen liked how he was brought in and gave the a-ok. He was actually interested in how the others would come in but it's going to be a -go with the flow type of thing. So with that it's time to end it.

Everyone thank you so very much for reading. If you like this story-feel free to fav/follow/review as it always brightens my day knowing someone like my work. One day we'll reach Robin's gym battle. Until next time guys, tchao for now.
