Underleague
Chapter 36
Author Notes: Noooooo i only planned to make this battle a one chapter thing! Understandably I knew it would be a two parter-but three!? At this point me and Sen have made the amount of story and chapters a running joke lol
Seriously 36 chapters-for gym 2...i still got 6 gym leaders, the 'evil team' the elite 4, the champion...and everything else in between! with how long this series is obviously going to be I need you guys for some opinions.
Do i 1) keep this series as one giant story that will probably have 100+ chapters...or 2) do i separate it into segments? I'd like to know what you guys think, because between you guys and Sen will decide how this continues. For now though let's get going. I do not own Undertale or Pokemon.
Last time on Underleague
Too sneaky, she sprang up right after Robins command, startling everyone when the heavy 113 pound tree went flying from such a tiny, barely two pound enemy. "Snover!" Robin winced when he landed harshly into the ground, cracking an easy two layers of ice.
His terrified gaze was now a mess of swirls. Robin shook his head, pitying his poor pokepartner...neither were really prepared for such an encounter. "You did your best snover. Take a good long rest."
Hopping up and down Pikaboo screeches gleefully as snover got returned. "Wow Pikaboo! That was incredible!" So full of joy and an aura so bright, you would never think of it as an embodiment of evil.

"This is it Frisk." The brunnette tilts her head with slightly narrowed eyes, matching her pokemon for a second. "What do you mean Robin?" The blue haired nice cream maker gives a soft smile as he glances down to the pokeball in his palm.
Squeezing it tightly before meeting Frisk's curious gaze. "I mean that this is my last pokemon Frisk. If you manage to beat me, you'll obtain your second gym badge. But don't think it'll be an easy win. I've saved the best for last. I choose you-delibird!"
Delibird-the Naughty Pokemon. When they were brought underground, Delibirds found themselves unable to truly fly around the caves and struggle finding food. Becoming scavengers, their nature grew more aggressive and vicious. Be weary if they offer you a present, as it is sure to be a trick.
Both the appearance and pokedex entry threw her for a loop as she stared at her final opponent. Up above on the surface she had seen delibirds plenty of times, especially around Christmas time.
They were cute little red and white penguins. She remembered fondly when the annual winter parade would occur in her hometown. People dressed up as Santa would have them help distribute presents for the kids running around. They were fun times...
But this one looked like anything but one of Santa's helpers. And she couldn't help but wince as she takes in the startling differences. The white fur was a more ashen color, and the red coloring was so dark it was nearly black.
Frisk shivered as the well noted naughty pokemon clapped their wings together with a wicked grin. Pikaboo stared her opponent down, appraising the dark aura surrounding the penguin.
The pair of pokemon had a sense of understanding as they waited for the battle to start. At any other time they would be the best of allies in destroying their enemies...
However at this point in time, they were to face each other. For the sake of their beloved trainers, blood would be shed. "You ok Frisk? You're looking a bit out of it." Blinking, the young girl shakes her head, trying to stay focused.
"Yeah. It's just...I've never seen a delibird like this before." A hum of understanding comes from the older man. "Makes sense. Sometimes pokemon find their way down here or are abandoned by trainers to where they end up adapting to the underground. I caught this little guy after he tried stealing my nice cream."
Correction-he did steal the nice cream. The funny part was despite Robin's best efforts, the demonic bird pokemon no matter how you look at it won. He got away with stealing the sweet treat, got captured from a nice trainer-and get's to spend his days traumatizing children.
Things were just dandy for delibird as he puffs his feathers. "My friend here due to being in the underground isn't much of a flier, but you'll see he's got some new tricks up his sleeves. Delibird use present!" Cackling, the naughty little penguin goes into his large sack.
Pulling out a lovely looking present. White, pristine wrapping paper topped with a lovely pink bow. Still laughing the gift gets tossed high into the sky, both Frisk and the mimikyu surprised when it opens by itself. "Be careful!" The little terror from the Ice Caverns wasn't fast enough to dodge, and simply braced for impact.
Present was a move with a 75% chance to cause damage to the opponent, with the other 25% instead having some sort of berry or healing item. But like Robin mentioned...this adapted bird had some new tricks up his feathers.
Pikaboo didn't even know what hit her as a disgusting scented sludge draped on her rags. "Kyuuuuu!" Her trainer gasps in horror as the pokemon starts rolling into the snow, trying to get the sludge off.
"Underground delibirds throw status effect presents. What you just got was a taste of muk remains." Immediately Frisk clenches her nose with teary eyes, she needed to end this now. "Pikaboo use slash!" Ready for revenge the little cloth wearing pokemon released her arms from under her disguise.
Though the poison coating her hurt, she paid little attention to it, her focus completely on the delibird. She leaped at blinding speeds, skidding across the snow. Only the problem was, for the life of her, she just. couldn't HIT. him!
The little mimikyu and delibird played a deadly game of tag. "Shadow sneak Pikaboo!" Both pokemon were fast as they danced around one another, the dark bird pokemon smirking arrogantly despite having a beak for a mouth.
"Delibird, use coal shot!" Snickering, the demonic penguin reached into his bag. Waiting. Slowing his pace down a fraction, long enough for Pikaboo to be right where he wanted her. "Biir~" Right as shadow arms reached out, several small lumps of hot coal flew, smacking right into mimikyu.
Frisk watched worried as her pokemon was forced back several feet, her disguise scraping against the hard snow. She tried going to offer her pokemon encouragement while changing tactics.
Robin kept his gaze firmly on the young trainer's pokemon, the entirety of the match he was controlling very well. It wasn't like the other two rounds, as the bond between him and the dark/ice pokemon was clearly stronger.
Still...sweat starting to form on his head despite the chilly climate. The dark energy swirling around the ghost/fairy type was growing larger, he had to end this fast before something happens.
Of course, as if he jinxed himself, they heard it. All of a sudden...there was a sound that froze everyone in place. It was hard to describe, it reminded the ten year old of something tearing.
Like a shrrrriiiiip noise, and it left her confused, before realization hit her. "Kyu?" Swaying, Pikaboo got up, only to glance at the rags covering her form. There. Right on her left hand side, a rip, it wasn't a big one mind you.
Probably about half the size of a thumb...still, that did nothing to quell the sharp shrieks of rage from echoing all throughout the underground. "What the-? Pikaboo?!" Red and black. Darkness and hatred.
That was all the little mimikyu could see as she continued swaying. Her arms slammed painfully onto the ground. Rough, harsh scrapes were being made into the snow crusted earth. "Pikaboo...?" Embedding deeper and deeper.
"Delibird-we need to take her out now! Use ice beam." His partner does as commanded, blasting away, hitting her square on. But much to everyone's surprise, and downright fear, Pikaboo didn't even flinch. "Keep using ice beam!"
She was still there, clawing at the ground, quiet mumbles that only grew louder...and Louder-AND LOUDER! Again and again delibird fired attack after attack in the hopes of knocking her out.
But it was futile. Frisk's mimikyu was already suffering from the poison status thanks to delibirds nasty little present, the gunk was acting like a protective acidic armor that prevented Pikaboo from freezing solid. With all the screaming it was hard to hear.
Immediately the young brunette clutched her ears while shouting, desperate to calm down her mimikyu. She was shaking from the cold and fear, this was the first time she had ever seen such a reaction from her friend. And she had no idea how to stop it.
To be continued
Author Notes: Welp Pikaboo is going psycho...and that is probably the most terrifying thing i've ever created. So surprise surprise Sen still hasn't returned to the author notes. And for once i don't blame him.
Next chappy we'll see what happens to Pikaboo...as well as the underground lol. That's it for now, guys thank you all so much for reading. If you like this series please feel free to fav/follow/review as it would mean the world to me. Tchao for now.
