Underleague

Chapter 41

Author Notes: Hey guys, so I am sorry with the late updates. I promise this is not going on hiatus, but due to work and burnout i've been struggling updating most of my stories that haven't been already typed up.

So if I take my time writing, I'm sorry but I don't really have the energy or motivation to update a million chapters...especially since i'm trying my utmost to prep for school and some new projects i've been working on in the background-ok i do not own Pokemon or Undertale.

Last Time on Underleague...

Temy was shaking with excitement as she walked besides her two new companions. "Hey Temy, do you have any pokemon?" Blinking, the girl reaches into her pocket. "Yesh~ Here we goooo!" Immediately she tosses her pokeball into the air.

Audino the hearing pokemon. By using the feelers on its ears, Audinos can determine both the physical and mental states of whatever they touch. Combined with their kind nature, makes them excellent healers alongside Chanseys.

The teen and her pokemon do a cute little pose. "We'll heals any booboos you got~" Frisk giggled, only to wince when Temy slips and falls into the snow face first. "Bwa!" Her audino shakes his head, as if used to this and helps her trainer to her feet. "I'm oks!" This was going to be an interesting side quest.

3rd P.O.V

Their new journey was off to an 'interesting' start alright. "Ooooh Owchies!" Temy sniffled, trying to bite back her tears as Frisk put another band aid on her. The younger girl felt bad, but she had to make sure the medicine and bandages were on properly.

"Sorry Temy. We're almost done." The young teen's audino nuzzled his owner. "Thanks Dindin." The pink pokemon chirps, glad to see she was feeling better. Though this wasn't any surprise to the male audino. His master was a sweetheart, but a major clutz.

It hasn't even been a day and already the poor thing found trouble. "HERE TEMY! THE GREAT PAPYRUS HAS MADE BERRY JUICE~ WHILE NOT AS TASTY AS MY SPAGHETTI-IT WILL MAKE YOU FEEL BETTER!" Frisk was starting to see why Ms. Rosemary was so worried about Temy heading home all alone.

"At least we lost those ekans..." Eve stood right alongside her trainer, just as alert. "Veee!" Now that she was out of the chilly terrain, she was far more energetic and ready to tackle any pokemon come her way. The atmosphere-and in general environment was far different than that of Snowdin.

Not even ten minutes out of town the group found themselves no longer seeing snow but moist ground and lush grass. It was like Frisk was back home, albeit it was still a bit chilly. However, just because it was like home, doesn't mean that was a good thing.

The ten year old sighed as she sat down on a log, biting her lip as she takes out her pokedex. Even when running for her life, the little machine refused to let any pokemon bypass it. Recording the important information that Frisk prayed she wouldn't need to worry about in the future.

Ekans the snake pokemon and the pre-evolved form of Arbok. These pokemon are common in grasslands, moving quietly and stealthily to hunt bird eggs. Swallowing them and any other prey whole.

The young trainer shuddered at the entry. To think they had just been walking through the forest, taking in the sights and new sounds of the pokemon that inhabited the area without a care in the world. However, Temy...eager to head home had tried rushing ahead.

Papyrus and Frisk of course ran to try and catch up, only for the three of them to run into a small nest of ekans, their eyes narrowing at them in distaste. Without even meaning to, they had interrupted their meal time.

They were not happy-and nearly turned THEM into lunch. Luckily they weren't too too fast. Especially when Papyrus had picked up his two companions and did his own version of extreme speed and hightailed it out of there.

Though not before getting attacked with a series of poison stings being shot their way. Out of all of them Temy got the worst of it. "What's your family like Temy? You said they were on the way to Undyne's house right?" She perks up, ignoring the several scrapes she's obtained throughout the day.

"They's the bests~ Temy has lots of cousins and sisters and brother Bob~ Bob takes care of babies! And big sis Temmie trains them!" Frisk blinks a few times before tilting her head in confusion. "Trains...babies?" Nodding her head Temy reaches into her bag, pulling out her pokedex.

Still grinning as she thinks about home. "Here's the family time pictures we dooss eeeevery year~" Curious, the underleague challenge grabs the machine. "INCREDIBLE~" Not even a moment later, Frisk was smiling. Now understanding what the older girl meant.

What was in the several pictures shows everyone standing in front of a daycare for raising pokemon and hatching eggs. Even though she herself personally had never gone to a daycare, she had learned from Toriel how vital they could be to breeders and traveling trainers.

"HM? WHAT'S THAT SOUND?" Frisk barely heard her friend's comment as she was too absorbed with the photos. Giggling as all of them doing different poses and silly faces. "Looks like fun." It was actually hard to find Temy in the photos since she wasn't at all exaggerating.

There were a ton of members in her family, and all of them looked similar to one another. The differences being the varied colored outfits they all wore. Taking her deus ex machina back Temy throws her hands up high in the air, before wincing in pain.

She was most certainly going to be sore for a couple days. Her audino forcing her to take a sip of berry juice before continuing. "Bob throws parties and tells everyone to comes back. All of us work throughs all the Underground~ I'm Grandma Rosy's best assisitant!"

It helped that she was also Rosemary's only assistant. But considering how close the two of them were it was no surprise. The retired grass gym leader loved Temy to bits, and was happy to have her around. "GAAAHHH!" Both girls jump at the scream.

They turn, wondering what was wrong, ready to send out their pokemon. "CURSES! YOU MEDDLING CANINE!" Immediately Frisk breathed a sigh of relief. It was only poochyena...who snuck into Papyrus's backpack.

"YOU ATE ALL OF THE GREAT PAPYRUS'S SNACKS!?" There was no shame to be found on the dark pokemons face. If anything the little puppy just gave him a lovely lick and bark. As if completely proud of their actions. "Ohhhhh cute doggy! Temy wanna pets!"

The way things were going, it was going to be a good couple days before they reach what's commonly known as 'Tem Village.' But at least Frisk wasn't alone. "STAY BACK TEMY! THIS CREATURE IS A DANGEROUS ADVERSARY!" It probably wouldn't have been as much fun if she had gone out on her own.

However something nagged at her, like she had forgotten something important. Like there was another reason why Frisk was on edge...However for the life of her, she had no idea what it was. Eve gave her owner a nudge, her eyes furrowed in concern.

Looking down the brunette offers her pokemon a soft smile and a gentle pat on the head. "I'm ok Eve." Together the two of them watch as their poochyena friend teases the two humans. Bouncing up and around giving playful yips and nips.

"THIS IS THE DAY YOU FURRY FIEND! TODAY I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS WILL CAPTURE YOU! GO DUSKY!" Out came his trusty companion, one that Frisk had not seen up until now. "Dusky?" Frisk's pokdex lights up, adding yet another entry.

Duskull the Requiem pokemon and the pre-evolved form of Dusclops. By nature Duskull are mischievous pokemon that love making children cry. They especially love scaring bad children by passing through walls to sneak up on them.

This...didn't seem like a pokemon she expected Papyrus to have. If anything this sounded like something Sans would have, as they both love pranks and tend to make kids cry. Frisk even if she forgave, would not forget how badly he scared her when she first came to Snowdin.

There most certainly was a story behind it. "NOW DUSKY-I COMMAND YOU-USE CONFUSE RAY!" A battle ensued between a small wolf pup and Papyrus. "Gooooo Pappy~ Yous can do its!" However it wasn't just his two traveling companions watching.

Eyes were lurking in the shadows of the bushes. Waiting for the right moment to pounce. A sudden chill crept up Frisk's spine as she glanced around the little camp her and her friends made. She could feel something was wrong. But she couldn't for the life of her figure out why she felt this way.

For a moment her fingers brush against the contacts list on her pokedex. Habit left her wanting to respond to the various missed calls and texts that were steadily building in her inbox. Both Asriel and Toriel constantly trying to get ahold of her.

Amazing how despite all the chaos that she's undergone it's been almost a day since she got into a fight with her mother. A part of her instinctively wanted to give them a call. To apologize and explain. But she immediately shook her head, closing up the little machine with a sigh.

It wasn't time, not yet anyways. "Vee?" With a small smile Frisk gently rubbed her eevee's head, letting the soft, silky fur to wrap around her fingers. "One step at a time Eve...we'll get there." Eventually.

To be continued

Author Notes: Phew, finally. This chapter took a good few attempts to finish. On top of my laziness/exhaustion, Sen and I have reached a point in this story where we have a lot of plans -but it's becoming a bit of a struggle trying to figure out how to properly pace it.

So like i said before i am sorry for the wait and whatever long wait times you'll have to endure in the future. However one day...this story will finish(hopefully-maybe-fingers crossed) At the very least there's a ton more to go. Alright I think that's enough as far as author notes go.

Guys, thank you all so much for reading this series. If you like it so far, please feel free to fav/follow/review as it would mean so much to me. Recently we reached the 30,000 views mark which is awesome! Really can't thank you all enough. See you next time. Tchao for now.
