A/N I hope the first chapter was decent for me personally,It was a bit short so I'm going to make this one longer than the last. Reviews will be helpful so I can hone in on my skills so I can pump out more chapters for you. Also, I do not own Naruto. Enjoy ;).
CHAPTER 2 : BROKEN
Time skip 14 days later
As we see Two boys training in a field..."Stop dodging me Itachi" Naruto said in an aggravated tone. "When you think you can hit me i'll think about it" as he punches naruto in the face. As Naruto falls towards the ground he thinks " how the hell do I outsmart a Uchiha,... Oh I know"!
"Hey Naruto, are you alright did I hit you too hard?" Itachi said in a voice filled with some concern for his friend. He doesn't get a response from his blond hair friend so he gets closer to him.
Naruto springs up and jabs Itachi in the face,... Itachi flies back and lands hard on the ground."Well Itachi, I do believe I have hit you," Naruto said in a cocky voice because of his victory,..."You looked into my eyes" came a cold voice behind Naruto. "Damn Uchiha… I…Forfeit" Naruto muttered, " when did you cast that genjutsu Itachi."
"When I punched you your eyes looked at mine for a second and that's all I need." "Sigh I just unlocked my chakra a few days ago, that wasn't fair" Naruto said in a down tone because he didn't know he was in a genjutsu."The life of a Ninja isn't fair Naruto," Itachi said in a monotone voice.
"Hai Hai alright I'm hungry can we have a break now mr serious Uchiha." Itachi gives a twitching eyebrow in response."Why are you always hungry, you idiot blonde"...As they start to head inside Itachi house.
(Inside the Itachi's home)
"Hey Mikoto-sama, what are we having for lunch today?" Naruto said in a quiet but respectful tone. "Naruto I keep telling you to stop adding sama to my name",Mikoto said in a stern but loving tone because she views Naruto like her own child. "I'm sorry Mikoto-san, it's just that I respect you a lot and Kaasan always told me to address people with sama if i respect them."
"Sigh just call me Kaachan Naruto-kan I'm like your second mother anyway",Naruto was frozen in place because he couldn't believe what he was hearing at the moment. "Really do you Really mean that?" Naruto asked in a desperate tone of voice because deep down he viewed Mikoto as a mother.
"Of Course I mean it Naruto… you're such a kind and loving little boy and you and Itachi are like brothers" Naruto starts to tear up and runs towards Mikoto and gives her a big hug and starts crying and repeatedly starts saying thank you.
Mikoto is shocked at first but then starts to whisper comforting words into Naruto's ear to calm him down.
About 5 minutes later
"Are you ok now Naruto?" Mikoto said in a motherly tone. "Yeah…yeah i'm fine now… thank you for saying that to me Kaachan" Naruto said in a quiet voice. Those words brought tears to Mikoto's eyes. She was so happy to hear them from Naruto. "Ok It's time for lunch…we are having sushi today" Mikoto said. " WHATTT! Why can't we have ramen and what even is this poison you speak of" Naruto said.
Mikoto gives a look that says stop complaining and eat it or ELSE! Naruto instantly shuts up and follows Itachi and Mikoto into the dinning room to eat lunch.
"What…What is this food that tastes better than ramen! what the hell is this" Naruto said in complete shock, even forgetting what he was eating because of his shock. "Watch your language young man" came a stern voice beside him.
"Mikoto-sama… I mean Kaachan this… this is so good, can I have more" Naruto said in a happy tone because he found something so delicious. Meanwhile Itachi is Sitting across the table in absolute shock Because his friend just said something tasted better than ramen!
After 13 plates of sushi Naruto asks Mikoto if she can teach him and itachi something ninja related. "Well I Guess I can give a few points on some questions you have and I can demonstrate some of them But Naruto wouldn't your parents teach you some family techniques and help with questions?"... MIkoto said in a questioning tone because she thought Kushina and Minato would teach their son things.
She immediately noticed Naruto's downcasted look, "hey Naruto-kun are you okay is it what I Said? '' Mikoto said in a worried tone. " Yeah…Yeah I'm fine it's just that Otousan and Kaasan are really busy and don't have much time to teach me things, that's all." Naruto said lying straight through his teeth because he didn't want to worry Mikoto anymore than he already has.
"Ok well let's go to the training ground and I can give you a few points on things you want to learn but just to remind you I am pregnant so I can't do much."
(At the training Grounds)
"Ok I so what do you want to learn about Naruto" Mikoto asked in a teacher like fashion,..."I want to learn more about Genjutsu" Naruto said in an excited voice because he would be able to beat his friend if he learned Genjutsu he thought.
"Ok well A Genjustu is where a Ninja uses his chakra flow to attack or control their opponents 5 senses, In simpler words it makes you believe something that is not really happening to you does that make sense."
"Oh..Oh I understand,... So Itachi you basically made me believe that you were in front of me but in reality you were behind me at the end of our fight right?... "Yes, Us Uchiha can use are Dojutsu to make Genjutsus and copy people's technique unless it's a bloodline." Itachi said in a neutral tone because naruto needed to know these things.
"Yeah Itachi-kun is right,... So before you can do Genjutsu naruto you need a pretty good grasp on chakra control."... "Ok How do I get better chakra control?" Naruto said in a questioning tone and simultaneously tilting his head making him look cute while also making Mikoto hold in the urge to hug him to death and scream KAWAII!.
"Ok Naruto I want you to put this leaf on your forehead and use your chakra to keep it there"..."Ok Mikoto-sensei but how does this help me control my chakra?"... "Well Naruto-kun you are focusing your chakra in one place to keep the leaf in place, and If you don't add enough chakra where the leaf is at it will fall off your head but if you add to much it will fly off your forehead,you have to find the right amount and concentrate on it do you understand now?"
"OHH that makes sense ok I'll give it a try"... Naruto adds the leaf to his forehead and at first it falls off right away but he keeps trying and 3 minutes later he keeps the leaf on his forehead. "Good job Naruto-kun, I'm so proud of you" Mikoto said in a prideful tone because Naruto completed the task.
"Hey Itachi, can you do this?" Naruto said in a smug tone because he completed the exercise. "Yes I have already mastered that exercise," Itachi said in an indifferent tone of voice. To this Naruto just falls face forward to the ground and yells I WILL BEAT YOU SOME DAY YOU BASTARD!
"ENOUGH YOU TOO"said a voice right behind Naruto making him pale because he just cursed In Front of Mikoto. OUT OF NOWHERE MIKOTO SUMMONS A BAR OF SOAP AND SLAMS IT INTO NARUTO MOUTH AND YELLS WATCH YOUR LANGUAGE! Itachi slowly walks backwards because even though he didn't do anything wrong he did not want to be in his mothers wrath.
About 30 minutes later and yes it took that long to get all the soap out of naruto's mouth…cough...cough…
"Alright Naruto-kun it's getting late, do you want Itachi to walk you back home?"..."Yeah Itachi can walk me back,I'll see you next time I come over Bye Kaachan"... "Bye Naruto-kun I can't wait until you come back" Mikoto said in a motherly tone because she truly did view Naruto as one of her own.
As we see two boys walking down the street they seem to be walking slowly towards their destination.
"So how are your parents treating you now" Itachi said in a neutral tone because he knew this was a touchy subject. " Well my relationship with my mother has gotten worse."... "She just is indifferent towards me and with my father… well it's always been horrible, he even views Obito, Rin and Kakashi more like his kids than me." Naruto said in a sad tone because his family doesn't care about him.
"Well you got me and my mother, don't forget that" Itachi said in a quiet voice because he truly viewed Naruto as his rival and brother. "Thanks Itachi I won't forget and don't get ahead of yourself you bastard I will surpass you…YOU HEAR ME! "Hai Hai keep telling yourself that" Itachi said with the smallest amount of joy coming through his voice. Naruto would have said something in response but Itachi cutted him off from doing so. " Looks like we are at your house or personal hell whichever you prefer to say," Itachi said with a surprising amount of disgust coming from his voice.
"I'm going to be fine Itachi just so you know my Otousan is the Hokage so you have to at least Respect him." Naruto said through gritted teeth because he didn't like the man as well. "Oh I will respect him as the Hokage but nothing else" Itachi said because he truly did not like the man.
(1 day later)
We see a blonde-haired boy with violet eyes training in the woods. "Ok Mikoto-sensei said to concentrate my chakra in a single spot and I have that down so what if I add more leaves?" Naruto muttered to himself, "Well it wouldn't hurt to give it a try he said".
Naruto gets five leaves and places them on different spots on his body and concentrates. At first they all burst off his body then he does it again and again. About 30 minutes later he has all five leaves sticking to his body, Naruto gets up and jumps in the air with his fist and screams LET'S GO! After Naruto calms down he puts more and more leaves and makes them stick to his body making the time it takes to stick to him instantaneous.
Naruto then gets the idea that a rock is heavier than a leaf so he would concentrate his chakra more to keep them on his body. He goes and collects rocks and he puts 3 on his body and it takes one hour for all the rocks to stay on. "Phew, that took awhile but I did it" naruto said with a small grin. As Naruto starts to look at the trees near him he gets an idea, "I wonder if I concentrate my chakra to my feet can I walk on these trees...well it's worth a shot."
As he walks up to the tree he puts one foot on and adds chakra then he adds his other foot. "WOAH CHAKRA SO COOL I'M STANDING ON A TREE"... Right after he said that he blasted off the tree right into another one. "Ow..ow…that hurt well I guess it's like the leaf… sigh… this is going to take a long time."
About 3 hours later we see a boy covered in mud and yuck climbing a tree with just his feet with a pleased grin on his face. "finally I did it…it took…forever… I'll have to show Jiji tomorrow"..."Huh why is it getting dark fast and…why…am…I…so tired." right after Naruto said that he passed out from over working his body.
(At the Namikaze household)
We see Kushina and Minato running around their house setting up decorations because they are having a gender reveal of the triplets they are having. "Who's all coming to the party, Kushi-chan?" Minato said in a hurry because there is so much decor to put up! " Well Mikoto, Rin ,Tsuande,Shinzune and the other moms plus Hiruzen and his wife".
(Time skip to the party)
"Congrats Kushina, I'm so happy I can't wait to see them, I bet They are going to be so cute" Rin said in a giddy tone because she can't wait to spoil them. "Thank you Rin, I'll have to let you babysit them when they are born. '' Kushina said in a happy tone because she was glad Rin was happy about the triplets. '' Where's Tsunade and Shizune? I thought they were coming" Rin said with full curiosity, in her voice. "... Sigh… They got held up at the hospital and couldn't make it, " Kushina said in a down voice because she wanted her friend to be with her today. "Well dont worry im here with you" Rin Said trying to cheer up her friend., "thanks rin" Kushian said with a small smile.
As we see Mikoto Talking with Minato And Hiruzen… "So what does kumo want, I see that they sent an Ambassador For something" Hiruzen said in a questioning tone. " Sigh… They wanted to talk about peace aglitons and we are setting up a date for it". Mintao said in a tired tone because it was a very boring meeting. "Kumo Wants peace, it's hard to believe they have always wanted to be number one in all things" Hiruzen said in a suspicious tone because Kumo loves to stir things up.
Minato didn't get a chance to respond because Mikoto came running up to them with a worried look on her face. "Hey Minato and Hiruzen, have you seen Naruto around I haven't seen him here." Hiruzen starts to speak but immediately his face starts to pale, "we should go ask Kushina she might know".
"Hey Kushina have you seen Naruto recently, Please tell me you have" Mikoto said
In a fearful tone because if not Naruto might be hurt or in danger. "No, I haven't seen him since this morning he said he was going to do something in the forest out back." Mikoto and Hiruzen's face both pale at Kushina's words… "Hey Minato We need Anbu to search for Naruto, I have a terrible feeling in my gut." What's wrong with Naruto, Kushina Shouted in panic! "Kumo was here today and I have a feeling they are related to this." Hriuzen said with a grim look on his face and Ki was rolling off his body.
Kushinas and everyone's else's faces in the room paled to hearing Hiruzen's words excluding Minatos of course. Kushina may not fully love Naruto But she did have a connection to him So Right then and there A mothers righteous anger was unleashed for a short time. So Much killing intent was rolling off Kushina and Mikoto it was even startling Minato and Hiruzen.
Kushina and Mikoto gave Minato a stare that said Call the Anbu before we murder you. '' Minato gives out a pulse of chakra that summons Anbu, " Dog I need you to make a search party and look for naruto he's missing. Also Kushina Mikoto and Hriuzen will be looking." "Hai Hokage-sama," Dog replied in a Serious voice.
As we see a tall buff man holding a passed out naruto on his shoulders heading to a secret hideout."Wakey wakey little one or I will have to hurt you a little too soon" as the man lets out a dark chuckle that wakes up Naruto. "Huh…where…am….I Jiji are you there I have something cool to show you" As Naruto looks up he sees himself chained to a wall and a giant man standing in front of him. "Who…Who are you?" Naruto asked in a scared tone, 'Oh me…well I'm going to be your biggest nightmare soon.' As he starts to laugh in a crazy manner.
"Well let's start with a little game called How loud can you scream!" "What…what are you talking about? I don't want to play a game let me go!" Naruto said in a defiant tone because he did not want to listen to this weird man. "Shh be quiet it's all going to be ok you will just feel a slight pain that's all promise." As he throws a bucket of water over Naruto and whispers Nagare Isou no Jutsu. Naruto's screams and screams because of all the pain the man does and he does this over and over and over again. He heals Naruto and then starts the process all over again at this point naruto has lost his voice from screaming for hours now. During this whole ordeal the man's laughter will forever be in Naruto's memory.
"stop….please….Stop….it….please" naruto said in a weak tone, "Aw you're done so soon I truly loved those beautiful screams of yours they were like music to my ears." why…are…you…doing this to me?" Naruto said through gritted teeth because this man could end his life at any moment if he wanted to.
"why you say… why you say BECAUSE YOUR MOTHER KILLED MY BROTHER AND RUINED MY REPUTATION SO WHEN I HEARD SHE HAD A SON I KILLED THE KUMO AMBASSADOR AND FOUND YOU SO I COULD DO THE SAME THING SHE DID TO ME!"
Naruto looks down and accepts his death but before the man can kill him something inside of Naruto makes him not want to die he wants to kill this man for doing this to him. Naruto Adds chakra to his back and springs off the wall straight into the man, shocking the man even making him fall back dropping the kunai he had. With all this adrenaline running through Naruto veins he dashes towards the kunai and picks it up and jumps on top of the man and repeatedly stabs the man. He slices his throat and blood spatters all over him, While this is happening Dog Kushina Mikoto and Hiruzen Rush into the abandoned Hideout And witness something truly Horrifying.
Everyone is standing there in shock because they are seeing a five year old child mercilessly stabbing a grown man to death. Hiruzen snaps out of his shock first and runs towards Naruto, He grabs Naruto's hand and throws the Kunai towards the other side of the room. He hugs Naruto and whispers "It's ok now shh it's alright your fine now your Jiji is here." Naruto starts to cry again and finally passes out from all the mental and physical torture.
Hiruzen sets Naruto down and looks at his body and has to hold in the urge to vomit at the sight. His body is fully scarred With lighting burns all over his body mostly in his chest area and there is blood everywhere on him, Hiruzen's even surprised that Naruto is even alive at this point.
With Kushina and Mikoto they are still frozen in shock at what they just witnessed but when they look at Naruto's body, tears just burst out of there eyes and they both dash right to his side And wishpier comforting words into his ears. Meanwhile with Dog he Shunshins to the Hokage and reports what he has witnessed.
As we see Naruto in a hospital bed still passed out we see three people talking in the room. "How is he, is he going to be okay?" asked Mikoto in a worried tone, Tsunade had a grim look on her face "Well Physically he'll just have a giant scar on his chest. I healed the rest of his body but there's nothing I can do for the chest, it was way too damaged for me to fully heal it." "But that's not what worries me, it's his psyche that I'm worried about the most."
"What do you mean?" asked Kushina in a quiet voice, Tsunade took a glance at Hiruzen and saw that he had a knowing look on his face. "The naruto we all knew won't be the same anymore, it will take some time for him to become anywhere close to the boy we used to love." Mikoto fell to the ground weeping while silent tears went down everyone else's faces.
It's been one week since the incident with Naruto and currently we see Hiruzen sitting next to Naruto while reading Icha Icha Paradise volume 1. Hiruzen looks up from his book when he hears Naruto groan, "stop… stop….stop it… i'm sorry" naruto whispers in his sleep, Naruto then shoots and screams. Hiruzen shoots up out of his chair and runs over to him and says, "You're okay now you're okay now Jiji is here don't worry."
"Jiji I…I..did something bad… There was a Man and he was hurting me over and over and..I..I Hurt him really bad there was blood everywhere am I a bad person." as Naruto starts to sob again Hiruzen starts to speak "No Naruto you're not a bad person you shouldn't have experienced this at your age and i'm terribly sorry for that but remember I said the the life of a shinobi is going to be a hard path and being a shinobi you have to kill sometimes, you won't be a bad person unless you enjoy killing people." "Does it get easier?" Naruto asked in a quiet voice, "No it doesn't get easier but you can cope and move on with it." Hiruzen said with a voice filled with age.
"How do people cope with it?" Naruto said in a down tone, "Well people cope in different ways, most shinobi have Hobbies. Have you ever wondered why I smoke a lot, coping is part of the reason." "you just have to find a hobby to cope with and that will take time but in the meantime you have me, come talk to me whenever you need to." Hiruzen said with a tired voice, "Ok Jiji I will… umm when can I leave the hospital."
If only Hiruzen would have known what he told Naruto this day would change the shinobi era for worse or better only time would tell…
a/n hope you enjoyed this chapter the next chapter will be longer and the change in Naruto's personality will be more in the next chapter because it gets much much worse for him.
