Disclaimer ~ I do not own Avengers

Peter was exhausted. The type of exhausted where if he were to chug three red bulls right this second they wouldn't have any effect on him. He was running on maybe three hours of sleep in the past two days. It wasn't because of Spider-Man things either. I'm fact, Peter hasn't patrolled the past three nights. No, Peter's exhaustion was the result of something much more sinister. Every students worse nightmare. Finals.

Logically, Peter knew he was smart. There wasn't any reason to stress because he knew the material, but even he fell into the panicked mentality that came with having your final grade depend on the results of a test. So he did what any student would do. He stayed up all night cramming for as many subjects as possible.

Coffee was a godsend. Literally in Peter's case. Thor had brought some for Tony, but Peter was faster. The coffee kept him awake enough to get through most of the school day. Unfortunately, it started wearing off in the middle of Peter's science final. He finished it, but it was a struggle. At this point, he didn't even care about his score. Peter just wanted the day to be over.

Peter was startled out of his post-test nap by MJ stabbing him with her pencil. He looked at her with half-lidded eyes and made a questioning noise. MJ shook her head in what Peter thought was fondness but could have been exasperation.

"You have a phone call nerd," MJ told him. Peter's phone was in her hand, held out waiting for Peter to take it.

"Who?" Peter asked, forcing himself to sit up.

"Somebody named Bambi," MJ said. Peter took the phone from her and sat it on the desk. He let his head fall back down and cushioned it with his arms.

"I'll call him back later," Peter mumbled, the sound slightly muffled by his sleeves.

"Actually kid, I'm already on the call," a voice that did not belong in his classroom rang out. "MJ answered it."

"Go away Bucky," Peter said yawning widely. He didn't bother sitting up, but did turn his head towards his phone. "I'm in class."

"I just need to ask you something real quick. Then I'll hang up. Promise."

"What?"

"Do you want a goat?" Bucky asked. Peter didn't think he heard that right.

"A what?" he asked, just to be sure.

"A goat. A kid for the kid," Bucky sounded amused as he answered.

"I can't keep a boat in the apartment. No room," Peter muttered. He was so tired. He wished Bucky would hurry up and end the call so he could sleep already.

"Not a boat. A goat. Two of them."

"Can't keep a boat in the apartment," Peter repeated. He was barely keeping his eyes open at this point.

"Again, not a boat but whatever. Don't worry about your apartment. Tony already said he'd keep them at the tower if you want them."

"Sure. Too tired to overthink this right now," Peter said, letting out another yawn for emphasis. He felt his eyes slip close and couldn't find the energy to open them again.

"Awesome! I'll send them over tonight! Be warned, the girl likes to scream when people are talking. No take backs okay?"

"Kay. Bye Buck," Peter yawned once more. He was asleep in an instant, missing Bucky's answering goodbye.

It wouldn't be until three days later that Peter would learn the conversation wasn't a dream brought on by finals exhaustion. Bucky had actually sent him two goats from Wakanda. A boy and a girl. And to top it off, Peter found himself the owner of a new sailboat as well.

So this is actually a part of my Itsy Bitsy Spider story. I decided to do the same thing I'm doing in Skull Centered Ideas and separate the miniseries from the main oneshot collection. So this fic will contain all the phone calls that are in the IBS fic. I didn't intend to start with Bucky first, but he's the first one I finished so I'll go ahead and post him. There wasn't any particular order for them after all.

Most of the phone calls in IBS will be the same. I have a few things I want to add or change, but the overall idea will stay the same. I just need to work on them first. Shouldn't take too horribly long once I get started, but I'm not about to jinx myself by saying that out loud. That being said, I'll try to update soon. I have several chapters I'm in the middle of working on right now, all for different fics. You guys have NO idea how hard it is to control myself and not start a new fic since I've had several new ideas while I was working. I'm trying not to start anything new until I've finished the rewriting, so wish me luck. I have my two best friends ready to yell at me if I try. They are like 80% of my impulse control. Bit difficult since they live so far away from me but that's what cellphones are for.

I hope everyone enjoyed this chapter! I'll try to have the next one up soon! Please Follow/Favorite/Review and I'll see you for the next update!
