"I'll be the guard dog of all your fever dreams!" Ollivander was sketching, but got distracted. "We could be Immortals!"

His earrings started glowing, but he didn't notice. His spun around in his chair. He fell off and his headphones got messed up. That's when he noticed his earrings.

"Huh?!" The color faded. "I am the sand in the bottom half of the hourglass..." They lit back up. They seemed to be responding to his singing. "Immortals..."

"Ollie? Are you okay?"

"Uh, yeah!" He took off his headphones and put his sketches away. He grabbed his homework and slapped it on his desk. He quickly picked up his chair and sat back down. He took his earrings off and shoved them with his drawings. His dad, a green Toad, walked into Ollivander's room right as soon as he closed his drawer.

"Oh good. Get those studies out of the way!" He kissed Ollivander on the forehead. "Where are your glasses?"

"Oh, ah, I forgot 'em?"

His dad sighed. "At school again, right?"

"Perhaps?"

"You've got to keep better track of them, Ollie. I can't keep buying new ones every time you loose it."

"Sorry, I'll do better!"

"Good." He walked out.

Ollivander pulled open the drawer and grabbed his glasses. He slowly slid them on. His vision got blurry when he did. He sighed. They were reading glasses, but his dad thought they were actual glasses.

"Why must I be perfect?"

Ollivander found out about his super-human like knowledge when his class took an IQ test. It was made to be really hard on purpose. While the rest of his class got normal results, Ollivander got 133. He passed the rest of Elementary School with flying colors and even skipped a year or two of Middle School. When he reached High School, his IQ was so unnaturally high, he was able to skip all the way to Collage. He just passed the first three years. When word got around, people started picking on him. Except Luigi. Luigi thought he was cool. And now, Rosalina thought he was too.

Ollivander always got straight A+'s and perfect attendance, but he was getting tired of it. Always being perfect for his dad. He tore the score sheet for the semester off the fridge and tossed it in the trash. His dad was at work as a construction man. He grabbed his sketches and a leather jacket and stormed out. He walked over to the school building and grabbed a box of spray paint that he hid behind the school, inside of a loose brick that only he knew about.

He grabbed the black and shook it. He followed the guidelines on his drawing. His earrings lit up again. He did graffiti to release tension. His art was all over the news. Nobody knew who was doing them, but they loved it. He didn't want to be recognized from his smarts, he wanted to be known for his art.

He came back inside and closed the door. His dad cleared his throat and Ollivander flinched.

"Ollie? Where were you...and what are you wearing?" He walked over to his son. "A leather jacket, earrings? When did you even get your ears pierced?"

"Just...I don't know, three years ago?" Ollivander explained.

"What is this?" He grabbed the jacket and turned it inside out. "Spray paint? Were you doing graffiti?"

Ollivander looked at the floor. I can't tell him. He'll ground me forever! "It was a birthday gift from someone."

He sighed. "Okay, go finish your homework then come down for dinner."
