Ollivander woke up in a hospital bed. He had a Ventilator covering his nose and mouth. His father was standing over him off to his right, and a doctor to his left.
The doctor sighed of relief. "You're alright. That's good."
Ollivander felt like he couldn't speak.
"You were out for a day." The doctor told him. "You fainted on a live news feed, Ollivander."
"Oh, Ollie!" His father wanted to hug him, but didn't. "I shouldn't have been so harsh on you! I'm so sorry!"
Ollivander smiled at him. "Th...that's...okay. You couldn't have...stopped this."
Luigi came into the room. "Hey, Ollie. Feeling better?"
Ollivander nodded. "Why am I in the...Hospital?"
"Something happened to your lungs that made them not...breathe properly, you could say." The doctor explained. "You were given the Ventilator to help fix the way you lungs were working. You should be able to leave by tomorrow."
Rosalina came running in the room. "Ollivander! Are you alright? I just got news what happened."
Ollivander felt his face get hot. She came to check on me. "I'm fine...Rosie." His smile faded. "Luigi...Mario is..."
"Missing? Yeah I knew." Luigi said. "I've been trying to find him for a while."
"Mario has them too..." Ollivander said.
"Has what?" Luigi asked.
"The...earrings." Ollivander pointed at Luigi. "Check your...left pocket..."
Luigi brought out the clip-ons. "How...?"
"I put them there. They swapped our bodies!" He smiled at his friend. "That's how we're going to find-" He started coughing.
"Don't talk so much!" The doctor exclaimed. "You're still healing!"
Ollivander cleared his throat. "That's how we're going to find Mario, Weegee!"
"But how do we get him to put them on?" Luigi asked. "We have no way to contact him."
Ollivander thought about it for a minute. "When they glow, I'll put them on. Okay?"
Luigi nodded. "Alright, but you have some explaining to do when you get better."
