Eddie Munson x OC x others
Dustin's POV
Shit, Shit, Shit, Shit, Shit! If what Lucas said was true, then It's only a matter of time before Jason or the police find Eddie at this boat house. I pinched the bridge of my nose and tuned out the arguing happening around me.
"Come on man. I'm not asking for a lot here. A bathroom maybe? So I don't have to piss in the lake? A blanket perhaps? Oh, you know what food would be an awesome bonus," Eddie groaned.
"You have a bucket, a tarp, and Nancy does food runs, problem solved," Steve snarked.
"You're not in a position to make any demands," Max grumbled.
"Oh, so I'm making all the food runs now?" Nancy scoffed.
"Sure, Nancy, let me just grab my driver's license and get in my sweet car and take that burden off of your shoulders," Lucas said all at once, and then the layered arguing continued.
I racked my brain for a possible solution, but every path led to the same decision. I grabbed a walkie-talkie from Eddie's hands. He was too busy yelling to notice. My fingers shook above the dial to change channels, but I couldn't bring them to do it.
"Shit," I whispered as I clutched the radio. I threatened to turn the dial again, but failed.
No, this is the only way. It had to be done. I was a dead man. "Stop it!" I screamed, and the voices stopped.
"Nancy can't keep bringing Eddie food, Eddie can't keep polluting the lake with his piss, and we cannot afford to keep worrying about him. We still have no idea who or what Vecna is, how he's killing people, or what he wants. People are dying. And no offense Eddie but hiding you is keeping us from figuring that out,"
"None taken," Eddie said with a nod.
"Now, I have a plan. It's not a very good plan and, Eddie, I'm sorry…in advance," Eddie began to protest, but I cut him off. "I am going to make a quick call, and everyone better shut up until I'm done," I explained.
I took a deep breath and groaned, turning the dial to a new channel. "Mother Birdie, this is Dustin. Do you copy? Over." I asked shakily. Silence. I looked around the room to my friends giving me confused looks but continued. "Mother Birdie, this is Dustin. We have a code red, I repeat, a code red. Do you copy? Over."
The radio clicked, and her voice filled the room. "Oooo, code red? So scary. Leave me alone, or I break this toy you forced into my possession."
Relief and fear surged through me, and I continued. "Hey, I'm heading over to your house in a bit. Seriously it's an emergency. I have a favor to ask, over," silence. "And it's not a toy."
It felt like an hour before demented gurgles and groans burst through the speaker and quickly ended. "Cool, that's a yes. Steve, Nancy, Robin, Eddie, with me, Max and Lucas, clean up in here and make it look like Eddie was never here. We will circle back to get you after."
I pushed Steve out the door with me, but he swerved away from me. "Woah, Woah, Woah, where are we going exactly? Who was that?"
"Damnit, Steve, we have no time! Everyone in the car and drives straight, then make a right!" I yelled and pushed everyone in.
"Dustin, I will pull this car over right now if you don't explain yourself," Steve said.
I rolled my eyes. "You guys remember the summer right after Eleven disappeared? When Will came back? Well, it really freaked my mom out. Didn't wanna leave me alone for the summer as she normally does. Hired me a babysitter. She's mean, cruel, and but also the hottest woman I have ever seen. It was a very confusing time for me. Anyways now I just stay over sometimes when-"
"Hold on, hold on. You had a hot babysitter this whole time and didn't tell me?" Steve asked.
"Trust me buddy, I would never subject you to that. Pull into that road. It's a dead end. We will have to walk form here but it isn't far."
"I also would like to discuss the secret hot babysitter and my lack of knowledge in the subject," Eddie said as he got out of the car.
Eddie's POV
"Seriously, how hot are we talking?" I asked, half joking.
"Honestly, she is probably more your type than Steve's," Dustin said, huffing as we walked up the last hill.
"What the hell is that supposed to mean?" Steve asked.
Dustin didn't answer. Instead, he laughed and pointed, "here!" At a small, a-frame cabin nestled next to the river.
He knocked on the door a few times, and we waited and then she answered the door. Quite to Dustin's description she was the hottest chick I had ever seen. "Henderson…and friends. At my home. Where I specifically told you never to bring anyone."
My eyes stared at her long platinum hair tied up in a bun, then to her green eyes, to the sleeve of tattoos. I tried not to linger on the sports bra she was wearing but there was too much to not look at there, then down to her curved waist and thick thighs tightly hugged by black skinny jeans, ending at the joint between her fingers.
Shit, my type indeed.
She flicked her hand, motioning us to follow. My eyes were glued on her as she plopped down on her couch.
"Okay, Ev, we need-" Dustin started, but the woman held up a finger and ashed her joint before pulling out a bowl and taking a long toke.
She held her breath longer than I ever dared to and let out a cloud of smoke with a cough. "You know I can't be sober when I talk to you when you're all…uppity," she said. I chuckled.
"Ev, look, I don't have a lot of time. Can my friend Eddie stay here?" Dustin asked.
"The hot one or the one with the hair?" She asked.
Steve and I turned to each other, exchanging a look as we tried to figure out who was who.
"I'm Eddie," I said with a small wave and the woman raised an eyebrow, giving away nothing.
Dustin continued, "There is an evil wizard creature thing killing teens in Hawkin and we think its connected to-"
"Is it the same creature as your Demotron thing?" The woman asked with sarcasm.
"Demogorgon. And no, well, maybe, we don't know, but Eddie. Here. Stay. Please?"
I looked on either side of her couch and saw two oddly placed metal rings just under the armrests.
Perfect placement to bend someone over- no. Eddie, serious. Police. Vecna. Low profile. Stop.
"Eddie? As in Eddie Munson?" She asked.
Steve chimed in. "Look, he didn't actually murder Chrissy. That was the, uh, wizard, I guess is what we are calling him? I don't-"
The woman shot up with furrowed eyebrows. "Woah, what? Murder?"
"Ha, haha, as Steve not so gracefully put it, Eddie is on the run from the cops…so…can he stay?" Dustin asked, and I glared at Steve.
"I was going to say, 'Eddie Munson, the weed slinger of Hawkins High? Wow, free eighth for me!' but now that we are talking cops, I'm thinking no go. But now there is the murderer bonus so, you know, could possibly end my suffering, so I can't exactly say no. Anyways, I want free shit for life. Whatever I want from you, I get. Deal?" She said to me.
A warmth ran through my stomach. "Yes, ma'am."
Whatever you want.
