Prologue: Ruling with an Iron Fist

Zika's POV

I looked out the window at the kingdom below. The night was quiet. The people stayed hidden from the dark.

I looked around my room. Visions of what could have been danced around the room. Cyprus playing with Ivor, showing him how to defend himself, showing him what it was like to be a king.

I turned back to the window and looked out into the distance. Things were right where I wanted them.

The former royals banded together to make the Kingsman Resistance. But with help from my assassin, Lady Deathstrike, I was able to force them into a truce. They remain out in the Archipelago, so we remain at peace.

The people of the Kingdom stayed under my rule with not much protest. Life for the people hadn't changed much. All that had changed was they were required to give more money to the kingdoms. Which, in turn, made my followers and me rich with gold.

There was a knock at the door.

"Come in."

Chester, Cyprus's old squire came in.

"My lady. The Kingdom Council has brought forth the offering."

"Thank you, Chester."

I walked over to where my crown was and put it on.

"Is Ivor asleep?"

"Yes, your majesty."

"Good."

I sat on my throne. The throne room doors opened and in walked my most trusted advisors. Grimmel, my brother, Hans, Narissa, and Varian. They all walked forward and bowed.

"Your majesty. We come with this month's offerings to the kingdoms." Grimmel said.

"Proceed."

They all stepped aside and servants came in, hauling big bags of gold and riches.

"Very nice. Very..."

The last bag came in. There were only seven bags. There was supposed to be eight.

"Where is the last bag?"

Prince Hans stepped forward. "The fault lies in Arendelle, My lady."

"Does it now?" I looked at him with a hint of anger.

"A village leader didn't collect this month."

"Bring him to me."

The doors opened and in came guards dragging an old man in chains. They threw him before me.

"What is your name?"

"Fredrickson." The man said.

"And how long have you served Arendelle?"

"Since the time of King Adgar and Queen Iduna."

"Then it should be no trouble obeying your queen."

The man stood and glared at me. "YOU ARE NOT MY QUEEN. I ONLY SERVE QUEEN ELSA!"

"SILENCE!" I said. "YOU WILL NOT UTTER THAT NAME HERE!"

I shot my power at him. He began to choke himself.

"Queen Zika! Wait!" Hans said.

"What, Hans?"

"You can't kill him."

"Why?"

"Arendelle respects Fredrickson. If you kill him, we'll have another revolt."

I nodded. I released my power on him. He let go of his neck and gasped for air.

"You're lucky, Mr. Fredrickson. Go home."

The guards unlocked his shackles and he ran out.

"Varian?"

The young boy looked at me. "Your majesty."

"Send Lady Deathstrike to fetch someone Fredrickson cares about and put them in the dungeons."

"Yes, your majesty," Varian said and quickly exited the room.

"The rest of you, distribute the offerings as you see fit. Make sure to leave some for me and Varian."

"Yes, Your majesty," Narissa said.

As I walked away, the three of them began opening the bags and shifting through them.

I went to check on Ivor. The little five-year-old slept soundly.

I sat on the bed.

Sleep, my little Ivor
Let your dreams take wing
One day, when you're big and Strong
You will be the King.

I kissed his forehead and walked out, shutting the door behind me. I slowly walked back to the ballroom, where the others cherished the gold they just got.

I was exiled, persecuted
Left alone with no defense
When I think of what those brutes did
I get a little tense
But I dream a dream so pretty
That I don't feel so depressed
'Cause it soothes my inner crazy
And it helps me get some rest

I burst into the throne room. The others looked at me.

The sound of Frederic's dying gasp
His allies squealing in my grasp
The Kingsmen and their deaths, oh my
That's my lullaby

Now the past I've tried forgetting
And my foes I could forgive
Trouble is, I know it's petty
But I hate to let them live

Hans stood up and walked towards me.

So, you found yourself, somebody,
Who'd put the rebels to their knees

Oh, the battle may be bloody
But that kind of works for me

The melody of angry growls
A counterpoint of painful howls
A symphony of death, oh my
That's my lullaby

Cyprus is gone but Zika's still around
To love this little lad
Till he learns to be a killer
With a lust for being bad

Grimmel motioned to Ivor.

Sleep, our Prince Ivor
Our precious little thing

Narissa jumped up on a table.

One day when you're big and strong

You will be the king

The pounding of the drums of war
The wave of Ivor's mighty sword

The joy of vengeance

Testify

I can hear the cheering

Ivor, what a guy

Payback time is nearing
And then our flag will fly
Against a blood-red sky
That's my lullaby

I smiled and looked towards the door that leads to Ivor's room.

"Sweet Dreams, my little Prince. Goodnight."

It's time for the return of the Big Six.
