Chapter 2: Reunion

Hiccup's POV

We caught our breath as the transport flew through the sky. Anna was the first to talk.

"What in the blazes was that!" she said.

"Berk has been taken over, by a Chief Lord Grimmel?" Jack asked.

"What about the other Kingdoms?" Elsa asked

The three of them panicked for a few minutes then Merida stepped forward.

"SHUT IT!"

I looked at Merida.

"Thank you. Guys, I don't know. Let's go to Dunbrock first and I'm sure Fergus and Elinor will have answers for us."

Just then Rapunzel yelled. "MONSTEROUS NIGHTMARE, STARBOARD!"

We all looked to see a Monstrous Nightmare on fire heading right for us.

Merida aimed her bow, but I held up my hand.

"Wait, I recognize that dragon," I said as I looked closer. The dragon had a rider on it.

"FIVE-THOUSAND POUNDS OF FLAME AND MUSCLE COMING THROUGH!" The rider yelled.

"Snoutlout?"

The dragon shot at the transport. Elsa quickly cast her magic at the attack. The flames hit a wall of ice, sending up a cloud of steam.

We watched the dragon as it flew under the transport.

"What was that?"

Just then Rapunzel shouted. "ZIPPLEBACK, GRONKLE, AND RUMBLEHORN, PORT SIDE."

"Great, Snoutlout. They know we're attacking them." Said the very familiar voice of Eret.

I ran up to Surges perch. "Rapunzel, take us down."

Soon the transport dove down and went into the water.

I quickly ran over to Toothless. I jumped on him.

"Let's go, bud."

Toothless took off and flew straight towards the dragon's riders. As soon as they were going to attack, Toothless let out a roar.

They stopped and hovered there.

"Hookfang, what are you doing!?" Snoutlout shouted

"Guys, I don't want to alarm you, but that's a night fury!" Fishlegs said nervously

"Fishlegs, all night furies are gone. Toothless was the last one." Eret said.

I flew up so they could see me.

"Well, thank goodness he's here."

The five of them screamed at the same time.

"IT'S A GHOST!" Tuffnut yelled.

"They're no such things as ghosts!" Fishlegs said.

"Maybe a draugr?" Ruffnut said.

"Guys, it's me. Hiccup. I am very much alive."

Eret flew Skullcrusher closer. "How can we be sure this isn't Narissa's work?"

I rolled my eyes. "Because I gave you Skullcrusher after my father died. Snoutlout, I helped you train Hookfang. Fishlegs, we used to geek out over the discoveries we made. And How can I forget how much the Thorsten twin annoyed me over the years."

They were all silent.

"Hiccup! You're alive!" Fishlegs shouted.

"Yes, I am. Now, do you guys know where my mom is?"

"Back at the Edge," Eret answered.

"Dragon's Edge?"

"Yes."

I nod. "Ok, let me go get the others and then take us there."

"Others?" Tuffnut asked.

"The other members of the Big Six," I say.

"They're alive as well?" Ruffnut asked.

"Yes!"

I dive down to the ship.

"What's going on?" Merida asks as we land.

"It's the Berk Dragon Riders. They're going to take us to my mom."

"Where?" Anna asked.

"Dragon's Edge."

Anna's POV

The transport was sailing in the air as it flew to this Dragon's Edge as the dragon riders lead us there. The ride was mostly quiet. The sun started to light up the sky around us.

I looked over at Hiccup, who was leaning against the bow of the ship talking to the man riding the rumblehorn dragon. I walked up to them as they finished talking.

"I better fly ahead and tell the others," he said as he flew away.

I leaned against the bow. "So, what he'd say?"

Hiccup sighed. "It's not fantastic news."

"What is it?"

"The kingdoms have been taken over by this Zika that Alvin mentioned, the leaders fled to the Edge to escape and made a resistance. They were at war for maybe a year until some assassin took King Frederic and made them sign a treaty of sorts."

I stood there, taking it all in. My home, gone. Taken by this Zika.

"Those men said a Chief Lord Grimmel was in charge of Berk. Did he say who was in charge of Arendelle?"

"Some guy named Hans."

Anger immediately rose through me. Hans took Arendelle from me!

"I'm going to kill him."

Just then, the sun came up from the ocean below us. And an island came into view.

"We're here."

General POV

The rebels ran out of their tents and ran towards where Valka, Elinor, and Arianna were having their morning breakfast. They looked around surprised.

"What is going on?" Valka asked one of the soldiers as he ran back.

"Eret came back from his scouting route. He says he found the Big Six."

Valka looked at him with surprise. "What? That's impossible."

The soldier looked up. "We're about to find out. Here comes the transport!"

The three moms looked up to see a big six transport coming in for a landing.

Elinor stood up. "It can't be. Fate can't be too kind."

Valka grabbed her hand. "Let's find out together."

Meanwhile, Hiccup, Merida, Jack, and Elsa lowered the landing gears and braced for a landing.

Anna came down. "There's a lot of people down there."

"So much for breaking the new of our survival slowly," Merida said.

Hiccup shrugged. "Well, let's get this over with."

The crowd grew as the transport landed. Rapunzel quickly got off Surge and climbed down. She still had her cloak on, so they didn't recognize her.

"Out of my way, I need to get through," Eugene said as him and Kristoff moved through the crowd, followed by the triplets, all three of them nine years old. They stood by Elinor and took her hand.

Just then, six shadows appeared. All of them cloaked. They put down a plank from the transport and walked down it.

A soldier grabbed his sword as they moved towards the royals and stood before them. Then, they removed their hood.

Elinor was the first to cry when she saw Merida's face.

"Oh, Fate, let it be true."

She walked towards her and touched her cheek. Merida smiled.

"Mum, it's me."

Elinor started crying. "Ah, ya dear lass, it is you."

She grabbed her and hugged her tight.

The triplets immediately ran and hugged their sister as well.

Valka looked cautiously at Hiccup at first, until she saw the scar on his chin.

"It is you, my boy," she said as she lightly touched his face.

"Hi, mom." Hiccup said.

Valka quickly wrapped her arms around her boy and started to cry.

"You're alive. Odin brought you back alive!"

Arianna walked up cautiously to Rapunzel, who had short brown hair when she last saw her.

"Rapunzel? Is that you?"

Rapunzel smiled and hugged her.

"It's me. Mom."

Arianna started crying. "You came back again."

Rapunzel let go of her mom. "I'll always come back to you."

Rapunzel looked at Eugene, who looked shocked. She walked up and grabbed his hands.

"Is that your new smolder?"

Eugene gasped for a few seconds then smiled. "Sunshine!"

Eugene grabbed her and kissed her passionately. After being separated for five years, husband and wife were together again.

Jack, Elsa, and Anna walked up to Kristoff, who just stared in awe. Sven was right there too.

Just then, a familiar snowman walked up.

Olaf looked up and gasped. "It's Anna, and Elsa, And Jack!"

Olaf ran over and hugged them.

"Olaf, we missed you," Elsa said as she knelt and hugged her snowman.

Anna walked up to Kristoff and smiled.

"Hi."

Kristoff struggled to say anything. "Hi." he finally said.

"You seem a little shocked."

"I am."

Anna giggled. "Maybe this will help."

She kissed him on the cheek. Kristoff's attitude changed.

"Anna! You're back!" He then grabbed her and gave her a long kiss.

When the families had finished reuniting the royals turned to the people.

Arianna stepped forward.

"The Big Six have returned!"

The people cheered. They started to come closer when someone with wings landed in front of them. She removed her helmet.

Cassandra looked at the soldiers. "What are you all standing around for? Let's go. Back to the training grounds."

One of the soldiers stepped forward. "General, look."

Cassandra turned around and her eyes locked with Rapunzel.

"Cass?" Rapunzel said

"YOU!"

Cassandra drew her sword and ran at Rapunzel.

Ooo, this is getting interesting.
