Chapter 5: Rekindling the Flame of Resistance

Anna's POV

We entered the War room. It was the big room at the top. We looked around it curiously.

"The Club House. The dragon riders and I spent a lot of time up here, planning."

I looked down at the table. Each side had a map of each kingdom. I looked down and touched the map of Arendelle. It looked as not much changed. I moved my hand and touched the picture of the castle. My home.

Elsa grabbed my hand.

"We'll be home soon, I promise."

Just then a big man walked into the room. He laughed loudly and spread his arms.

"Why, look at you. Here at last, before me eyes. I can't believe it!" He said.

He walked up to Hiccup and hugged him tightly.

"So good to see you here." The man said.

The man was big, with huge shoulders and arms. He was bald with a long red beard.

"I'm sorry, but who are you?" I asked.

"Ah, right. Getting ahead of meself. The names Haggis McThorn. Ambassador to the Kingsmen Resistance." He said as he poured himself a drink and sat down.

"Don't worry, his bark is worse than his bite."

We looked at the doorway to see a girl with jet black hair and green eyes. She wore some black and silver armor.

"Ah, Heather," Haggis said, lifting his mug. "Ya flatter me."

"Heather!" Hiccup walked over and hugged her. "How are you?"

"I've been better. My brother has gone missing, but I'm ok."

"Oh, Dagur's back." Hiccup said.

"What?"

"Yeah, he came back from the new world with us," Jack said as he took a seat.

"Where is he?" Heather asked.

"Last we saw him; he was heading to Outcast Island," Elsa said.

Heather sighed. "At least he's alive." She then took a seat next to Haggis.

Cassandra walked in quietly and took her seat next to Haggis. She glared at Rapunzel, who did her best to avoid eye contact with her.

Then, Arianna, Elinor, and Valka walked in. Arianna smiled.

"The Big Six. Here. I never thought I'd see the day."

Hiccup stepped forward.

"Alright. Let get started. What's been going on?"

Cassandra stood.

"The truth of the matter is... we're stuck. After signing the treaty with Zika, we can't do anything."

"Ok, explain the treaty," Elsa said as she walked over to Hiccup.

"It's a fairly simple treaty," Valka said. "Zika has Frederic in custody. We are not allowed to attack any outpost or Kingdom. Or do anything that might further our cause. If we do, Frederic will meet the headsman's ax."

"So, basically it's do what we say or Frederic dies?" Jack asks.

"That be true," Haggis replied. "We tried finding him, but alas, they be slipping through our fingers."

Cassandra slammed a fist into the table. "It's gotten us nowhere."

I stood up. "Where is Frederic now?"

"My last report says he's in between Berk and Corona. They keep him on a ship." Heather replied.

"Then, let's go get him," I said.

"We can't. That goes against the treaty." Elinor said.

"You all have a choice to make. Are you going to sit here and do nothing, or are you going to go get Frederic back and fight back?"

I know the world can get you down
Things don't work out quite the way that you thought

Jack and Rapunzel started stomping their feet and chanting.

Cassandra walked up to the table.

You've no idea how hard it's been
This dull routine we've were forced into

Don't let them rob you of who you are
Be awesome, it's all up to you awesome

I feel the light, stirring deep inside
It's like a tale still yet to be told

And now it's time
To break the shackles free

The brave and the bold

Haggis roared in laughter.

We used to ride through the Dunbrock Highlands

Kristoff jumped into the room.

We laughed at that phony who rules Arendelle

Valka also jumped in.

We rescued our people and brought them to stay

Heather smiled and chimed in.

Saving the dragons from the Berk today

We see that light
Filling up our skies

So take that Zika's orders and toss 'em

'Cause it's the time to let our colors fly

Hey Kingsmen, it's time to be awesome

"You know what, Anna's right," Cassandra said. "We need to stop sitting on our hands and do something."

Rapunzel then looked at Heather. "Give me some of your best agents. I'm going to get my father."

Rapunzel's POV

Surge flew silently over the dark water. The sky was dark and quiet. Two of Heather's agent flew alongside me on two deadly nadders.

The ship was big. It sailed quietly on the sea, heading for Corona.

Surge went low and dropped me down on the deck. I pulled out my daggers and searched the top deck. Nothing.

I signaled the agents to set up the plan. The plan was to get my dad out, then to sink the ship so Zika thinks my dad is dead.

I moved my way down to the lower deck. That's where I saw most of the crew, fast asleep. I moved towards the brig.

I searched the cells until I came to his. He was fast asleep on a cot.

I summoned a light blade and cut the lock. I quietly opened the door and crept over to Dad.

"Dad," I said as I shook him.

He opened his eyes and looked at me.

"Who are you?"

I took my hood off. "I would think you would recognize your daughter."

"Rapunzel!" He hugged me. "I thought I lost you."

"Dad, we got to go." I grabbed his hand and started to lead them out. When we got to the stairs to the upper deck, someone appeared.

"Hold it right there!" the man said.

I froze. I started to slowly unwrap my hair.

But then something stabbed him through the chest. He fell over to reveal one the Nadders, its spikes out.

"Let's go!" The agent yelled.

I whistled for Surge. He landed on the deck.

"Dad, get on."

He didn't argue. He climbed on and Surge took off.

I quickly ran to the front of the ship and lit the fuses for the explosives. I then dove into the water. Surge swooped down and picked me up as the front of the ship exploded.

"Rapunzel, how are you still alive?"

"Well, I took a trip."

Hiccup's POV

Arianna and I waited in front of my old house, waiting for Rapunzel to get back.

"I hope they are ok," Arianna said.

"They will be... they're right there."

Rapunzel came flying in on Surge. Frederic was sitting behind her.

"Fred!" Arianna started to cry.

Rapunzel landed. Frederic got off and ran to Arianna.

"Arianna!"

They hugged tightly and held each other.

Rapunzel walked up to me. "So, what the plan now?"

"I think it's time I meet this Zika."
