Chapter 6: Prince Ivor's Birthday

Zika's POV

I quietly opened the door to look at Ivor sleeping peacefully. The sun was rising over the ocean. I sat by his bed and smiled. The scar over his left eye was a painful reminder that there were people who wanted us out of the kingdom.

"Ivor, wake up, my birthday boy."

Ivor quietly opened up his eyes.

"It's my birthday!" He said excitedly.

I smiled and hugged him.

"Yes, it is. My baby is five today."

Ivor blushed. "Mom, I'm not your baby anymore."

"Of course, my little man." I corrected it. "Well, come downstairs, A birthday breakfast is waiting."

"Oh yes!" Ivor jumped out of bed and ran for the door.

The door opened to reveal Grimmel. With a sober look on his face.

"Uncle Grim!" Ivor said as he hugged him.

"Ivor, my man." Grimmel hugged him back. "How's my favorite nephew?"

Ivor laughed. "I'm your only nephew."

Grimmel smiled. "Well, happy birthday, my boy. Why don't you run downstairs? I need to speak to your mother. Also, I think there's a birthday present down there."

"Awesome." Ivor ran out the door.

Grimmel looked at me. I stood up and looked at me.

"What's going on, Grimmel?" I asked.

"The Phantom keeps attacking our operations." He said.

I shook my head. "Damn Narissa, she should have never raised him!"

"But there's something else."

"What?"

"A Big Six Transport was at Berk."

I glared at him. "What!?"

"It could be a salvaged one. But it flew off before we could chase it."

"Flew off?"

"It had four dragons lifting it."

"Curses." I turned away. The Kingsmen were getting restless.

"Where's Frederic?"

"Still on course to the next checkpoint. Last I know of."

"Give him a few lashes. Remind the Resistance the price of the truce."

Grimmel nodded. "I'll send the word."

Grimmel walked out of the room. I was alone.

"You're losing your grip."

I turned to see Cyprus sitting on the chair across the room.

"I am not. I have it under control."

"I hope so. If Ivor is to be king, you have thirteen years to stay in control."

I growled. "I know that. I will succeed."

"Your majesty?"

I look at the door to see a servant at the door.

"Are you alright?"

I look back at the chair to see Cyprus gone. Another vision.

"I'm fine."

I walked downstairs to see my team eating with Ivor, who was eating like a child. Narissa sat next to him, eating quietly. Hans was on the other side of the table. He beamed when he saw me.

"Zika, come sit." He got up and pulled a seat out.

I sat down and looked at the others. Grimmel was talking with the Captain of the guard. Varian was at the end of the table, writing. Lady Deathstrike stood in the corner, her helmet covering her face.

Just then, a little girl with ginger hair skipped inside. Followed by a woman dressed extravagantly.

"Scarlett!" Ivor said with an egg still in his mouth.

"Ivor, swallow first," I said.

I got up at approached the lady.

"Lady Vivienne. What a surprise."

"Well, I thought The prince would like to see his future wife on his birthday."

I smiled. Ivor and Scarlett were betrothed from birth. When Ivor takes the throne, Scarlett would be queen. It also helped that Scarlett was the princess of Grimstad.

"Mom, can I go play with Scarlett?" Ivor asked.

"Of course. Just bring Chester with you."

Ivor jumped out of his chair, and the two kids ran out of the room.

General POV

Ivor and Scarlett ran around the town, with Chester close behind. They sat by the new statue of Cyprus to catch their breath.

"Oh, how lovely it is... to see the future king with his future queen."

"What do you mean, "future queen"?" Ivor asked.

"Well, one day the two of you will be betrothed. Intended. Affianced."

The two kids looked at him confused.

"Married! Come on. One day you will be married."

They looked at him, still confused.

"To each other."

"Ugh!"

"Ew!"

"Mmm-mmm. That's not gonna happen, Chester." Ivor said

Scarlett nodded. "Never."

"Scarlett and I are friends. And besides, she's afraid of spiders!"

"And he's never eaten chicken."

"I've tried it once." Ivor defended

"We are never getting married, Chester," Scarlett said

Chester frowned "A monarch who ignores tradition? With an attitude like that, I'm afraid you'll be a pretty pathetic king."

"Well, I'm not letting anyone tell me where to go, what to do... and even who to marry. There will never be a king like me."

"Ivor, you can't escape your destiny."

"Just watch," Ivor said as he ran off with Scarlett.

I'm gonna be a mighty king
So enemies, beware

Well, I've never seen a king of men
With quite so little hair

I'm gonna be the main event
Like no king was before
I'm brushin' up on lookin' down
Workin' on my roar

Thus far a rather uninspiring thing

Oh I just can't wait to be king

You have a rather long way to go, young master, if you think

No one sayin' "Do this"

Now when I said that

No one sayin' "Be there"

What I meant was

No one sayin' "Stop that"

No one sayin' "See here"

Now see here

Free to run around all-day

Well, that's definitely out

Free to do it all my way

I think it's time that you and I arranged a heart to heart

Kings don't need advice from little servants for a start

If this is where the monarchy is headed, count me out
Out of service, out of Corona, I wouldn't hang about
This child is getting wildly out of the wing
Ivor

Oh, I just can't wait to be king

Ivor and Scarlett ran around the town with Chester chasing after them. The people were watching carefully.

Everybody look left
Everybody look right
Everywhere you look I'm
Standing in the spotlight

Not yet!

Let every person go for broke and sing
Let's hear it in the town and on the wing
It's gonna be King Ivor finest fling
Oh, I just can't wait to be king

Oh, he just can't wait to be king

Oh, I just can't wait

He just can't wait

To be king!

The people sang and cheered for Ivor, even though some dreaded the day he would become king.

In the distance, the bells of the new cathedral started to ring.

"My birthday celebration. Let's go, Scarlett."

Ivor grabbed her hand and ran towards the castle courtyard, leaving a very tired Chester behind.

The people gathered in the castle courtyard. Zika stood up on a higher level with the Sinister Four. Lady Deathstrike was off to the side, studying the crowd. Her Black and red leather armor hid her in the shadows. Her legs were covered with braces and gears. Her double hooked Wushu swords hung at her side.

Zika smiled as the people gathered. She raised her claw-like hand for silence.

"Today is a grand day. It was five years ago today we banished the traitors of the thrones of the Kingdoms and we were raised to the thrones. And it was that night, your future king was born. Prince Ivor!"

Ivor waved to the people as they cheered. Zika quickly moved his brown hair out of his face.

"Now, with Corona tradition, I will release a lantern in honor of Ivor's birthday!"

She turned and took a paper lantern from a servant. While that was happening, five figures in cloaks moved through the crowd. Lady Deathstrike grabbed the handle of her sword. Varian signaled her to hold, trying not to ruin the festivities.

Zika lit the lantern. It floated above the crowd. the crowd cheered.

"Let the festivities begin!" Zika said.

Everyone started to cheer, but then a whistle rang out. It started quiet, then got louder. Grimmel's eyes went wide.

"Ivor, go inside. Everyone, GET DOWN!"

Chester took Ivor inside. Everyone in the crowd looked suspicious around as they got down. Just then, the statue of Cyprus exploded.

"NO!" Zika cried out.

Just then, A black dragon landed on the wall outside the courtyard. A rider climbed off and used a wingsuit to glide to the middle of the courtyard. He wore a helmet to cover his face.

Grimmel grabbed his crossbow and was going to shoot the dragon, but his crossbow froze up with ice.

"What is the meaning of this?" Grimmel shouted at Narissa.

"I'm not doing anything." She said in defense.

The man took his helmet off to reveal his face. Hiccup stared at Zika.

"Impossible," Zika whispered.

Hiccup smiled. "What, I'm not what you expected."

"You're supposed to be dead," Zika said.

Hiccup shrugged. "Sorry to disappoint."

"What do you want?"

Hiccup smiled. "We want our Kingdoms back. You know, the ones you stole."

"How dare you!" Hans shouted, drawing his sword. "The Councils declared us the Rulers."

"Of course, they did." Another voice rang out.

Elsa took off her cloak and walked over to Hiccup.

"Probably cause Zika used her powers to persuade them." Anna said as she also took off her cloak."

"Now you force the people to pay you more," Merida said and she uncloaked.

Varian nodded at Lady Deathstrike. She went to move, but couldn't. She looked down to see her leg frames were frozen.

Jack hopped onto the railing. "What's the matter? Can't move?"

Rapunzel walked out and uncloaked as well. "We, the Big Six, call you a false ruler. We will not let this stand."

Zika looked at her followers. Grimmel was trying to get his crossbow working. Narissa looked in shock, Varian was trying to get Lady Deathstrike out of the ice, And Hans looked like he was going to bust.

Zika raised her hand and snapped her fingers. All the people's eyes turned red.

"Get them!"

The Six looked surprised that the people started attacking them. Hiccup whistled and the dragon, plus two others dragons, grabbed them and they flew off.

Zika was furious. She screamed. Then she yelled at the people.

"FORGET!"

The people looked around confused.

She turned to Hans.

"Take care of the people. I have six heroes to find."

This is starting to get intense.

Stick around for more.
