A/N: Sorry it took so long with this. Just been out of motivation for this one. Also, for those who asked, Jak drove the Zoomer. Zon stayed behind and teleported with Samos and Keira. Also note, very very short chapter. Just to let you all know it's not dead.

Samos and Keira had poured over the Blue Sage's notes while the three boys went into the village. Suffice to say, they were very concerned.

"Not only are there problems in the Precursor Basin, but also the Boggy Swamp." Samos commented as he cast a troubled gaze at the large Lurker dirigible flying over the swamp, a rope connecting it to something deep inside said swamp.

"And who knows what kind of trouble is inside that Lost Precursor City." Keira said as she turned a telescope out towards the entrance to the city.

"Not to mention any trouble that could be right here in Rock Village." Samos finished before three familiar faces came running into the hut, all of them sweating and panting. "Speaking of trouble."

"Wasn't...me!" Zon gasped before he hid behind some machinery. "If they ask, I went back to Sandover Village!"

"What are you talking about?" Samos asked with a scowl before someone walked through the door.

"Alright! Where's that little thief?!" asked a man wearing a barrel.

"What's going on?" Keira asked. "And why are you in a barrel?"

"Seems Zon has a bit of a reputation here." Daxter answered with arms crossed in annoyance.

"Let me guess. He stole your pants as some kind of prank?" Samos asked with a tired look.

"Nah. Those are gone because I lost a bet." the Gambler answered while gesturing to his barrel before glaring at them all. "But Zon stole something from me when he and his old man visited years ago! You tell him that he better return my lucky dice, or else!" the gambler warned before he left. Daxter watched him leave from the window before jumping down.

"He's gone." the ottsel announced.

"Good." Zon said as he came out of hiding, only to be bonked on the head by Samos. "OW! What was that for?!"

"For not fixing that problem with your sticky fingers!" Samos snapped. "Why would you even take them anyway? Were they made of precursor metal?"

"No. I wanted to see if they were loaded when he won so many games in a row last time I was here." Zon answered before gaining a sheepish grin. "And I maaaaay have destroyed them in the process years ago." Samos's reaction to that was to growl before running his hand down his face.

"Let's...put that aside for now." he got out before looking at all three boys. "Did you find any information while you were out in the village?"

"Yeah. Long story short? Problems are all over the place!" Daxter answered. "An archeologist wants us to lead some blind animals back underground in the Precursor Basin. The path up to that giant Lurker monster was broken up by the town's strongest warrior. Said he'll put it back together if we pay him 90 precursor orbs. Even willing to throw a power cell in for the heck of it."

"Plus, it's also the only way we'll get into the Boggy Swamp." Zon spoke up next as he looked up at the giant balloon above the swamp. "And from the look of things, we need to get in there and find out what the Lurkers are up to. And that's just the beginning."

"Well for now, just take care of what you know is wrong. If you see more, then deal with it." Samos ordered. "Keira and I will stay here and keep watch for any other problems that may arise."

"Before you go, look at this." Keira said while showing the three some notes. "It looks like the Blue Sage was trying to figure out how to bring one of the underwater chambers from the Precursor City to the surface, but was unsuccessful."

"Well that's new." Zon said as he looked over the notes. "How about I head there and see what I can find? Maybe I can bring it to the surface."

"Or you're just looking to get your hands on whatever isn't nailed down." Samos spoke up, making Zon whistle while looking away.

"Hold on a minute!" Daxter yelled. "Underwater cities? What if they sprung a leak?! We'd be fish food for the Lurker Sharks!"

"Not likely. The cities built by the Precursors were built to withstand almost anything. I doubt a little water will hurt the one nearby." Keira said before smirking. "Or are you too scared to go down there?"

"Me? Scared? No way! I'm just...looking out for Jak and Zon!" Daxter answered before whispering. "You know how chicken they can be."

"Thanks for looking out for us 'chickens' Daxter, but we'll be fine." Zon chuckled. "But if you still don't want to, I can go there myself while you and Jak take care of the Precursor Basin."

"Well if you say so." Daxter said with a grin before jumping onto Jak's shoulder.

"I'll teleport the A-Grav Zoomer near the Basin. You'll need it to traverse the Basin." Keira informed them as they left.

"Thanks Keira." Zon said with a wave before the three left. They traversed through Rock Village before splitting up, with Jak and Daxter heading for the Precursor Basin while Zon ran towards the elevator into the Lost City, an odd gauntlet on his right arm. "Time for a test run."
