Chapter 3: Pushed to the limit
Introduction
The Defenders make their move against an arrogant woman named Melinda Murray, They believe she is incapable of ruling the world. Can The Defenders defeat her and hopefully gain more allies for their forces?
The chapter begins
At the Defenders HQ, The Defenders was monitoring the area around her, looking for more allies for his team. They recently recruited Pamela Isley/Poison Ivy, Amaya Jiwe/Vixen, Elektra Natchios, Cyborg, and Raven. But then Loki came into the room.
"Masters, I had a call from someone, there's a way on how we can gain more allies." Said Loki
"Who are we talking about? Asked Jessica
"There's an arrogant woman named Melinda Murray, and some are becoming dissatisfied with her rulership, so all we have to do is take on her team and then when they're pushed to the limit then they will join our side." Said Loki
"That idea, I like, thanks Loki, I'll assemble the group together." Said Luke
A few minutes later, at the assembly hall, The Defenders called in the team.
"Attention everyone, it's time as we go into battle." Said Matt
"Are we taking on The Avengers?" Asked Doctor Strange
"Nope, we haven't seen them since our last encounter." Said Jessica
"Who's our enemy?" Asked Thor
"We are going against Melinda Murray, she's an arrogant woman, but however she's not worthy of taking over the world." Said Danny
"What's her story?" Asked Bruce as he was currently in human form.
"To what Loki told us, she is an arrogant movie actress, her teammates will be a good member for our team, if we are successful in finding those who are dissatisfied with her ruling." Said Jessica
"How restrictive." Said Thor
"I'm sure her crew's better off with us." Said Peter
"How about we deal with this so-called arrogant person and see if she's as bad as you say she is." Said Loki
"Let's move out." Said Luke
Meanwhile at Luoyang, Melinda Murray has assembled her team.
"Listen everyone, we are going into battle against The Defenders. Even if he might have forces above our own, he's no match for me." Said Melinda
Her teammates are Maleficent, her daughter Mal, Aurora AKA Sleeping Beauty, her daughter Audrey, Wheezy, Cinderella, Kitty Pryde/Shadowcat, Zatanna Zatara, Scott Summers/Cyclops, Jean Grey, Goku, Sasuke Uchiha, his wife Sakura Haruno-Uchiha, Irma Aldeen/ Saturn Girl, AppleJack, Uma, daughter of Ursula, Merida, Megaman, Zero, James Rhodes/War Machine, Dizzy Tremaine, Victor Stone/Cyborg, Carol Danvers/Ms Marvel, Naruto Uzumaki, his wife Hinata Hyuga, their son Boruto. Mostly all of them were dissatisfied with her.
"Got that, now move out." Said Melinda
At the entrance to Luoyang, The Defenders' troops were there and they were going to battle against Melinda's forces.
"Ok, this is it, our chance to gain more allies, and do away with Melinda." Said Jessica
"Jessica, leave Melinda to me, it's time she learns that she fits the bad actors description." Said Zatanna
"If you say so, everyone let's go" Said Luke
The battle begins
The Defenders barged into Luoyang, the troops were ready for them, they weren't putting up much of a fight. They wanted to just surrender so they could deal with Melinda. Maleficent, Aurora, Mal, Audrey, and Wheezy fled the area.
"We surrender, just let us join you please." Said Felicia
"Wise choice, I had a feeling you didn't want to put up with your mother anymore." Said Jessica
"I can't take it anymore, please end it, all she cares only about herself. End her please." Felicia begged on her knees.
"No worries, we'll deal with your arrogant mother." Said Luke
"Poison Ivy, Vixen, take Felicia to the carriage and escort her to safety." Said Jessica
"Understood." Said Pamela as she and Barbara escorted Felicia out of the battlefield.
"As for the rest of you, let's go offer our greetings to Melinda personally." Said Jessica as the others defected to his team.
As the battle continued, Melinda had no one left but herself. The Defenders bursted into her throne room.
"What's going on, why are you with The Defenders?" Asked Melinda as she saw that her team left her.
"We're done with you Melinda, you are nothing but an arrogant woman who only cares about yourself." Said Kitty
"You're disgusting." Said Zatanna
"Say what you want about me, but it's true, I only care about myself, the fame and fortune." Said Melinda
"Kill her Elektra." Said Jessica
The battle begins
It didn't last long, Elektra overpowered Melinda Murray.
"I was right to do what I did, know your place. I was just trying to keep my family fed." Said Melinda
"Scumbag, you really are a bad actress, kill her." Said Jessica
Elektra took out a sword and slashed Melinda in half and the blood splat to the portrait of her older daughter in her cap and gown.
The Defenders left the area. Felicia and a few others have joined them. However, Maleficent, Aurora, Mal, Audrey, and Wheezy left the area. Not wanting to join The Defenders. See what happens next time.
