(Chapter 51 Vytal Festival)

Yang knew that fighting Cinder would be a challenge. She had a first-hand account of how well a fighter Cinder is from Ms. Glynda's sparring classes. But that was only in class and when she thought Cinder was just a regular student. Now, Yang can genuinely see how deadly Cinder can be as the woman held no hesitation for attacking Yang with serious intent to kill.

'This really isn't like class.' Sure, Yang has fought other huntsmen before, such as Roman piloting a mech, some White Fang goons, and Junior and his backup dancers during her time visiting his club. 'I fought people before, but this feeling I'm having against Cinder. It's something else.'

"Raah!" Yang back stepped away from Cinder's short sword and countered with a punch, only to retract her punch in time to avoid Cinder's second short sword. Not yet backing down, Yang attempted to smash the blades into pieces to hit nothing but air as Cinder morphed the swords together and formed a bow and arrow. Too close to dodge and not fast enough to block the arrow, Cinder was just about to let loose the bow when out of nowhere, Cinder was pushed away by a green blast of magic.

"Yang!" Ozpin shouted with his walking cane in front of him, emitting a green glow at the end of his cane. "Please refrain from getting too ahead of yourself."

"I know!." She didn't want her voice to sound irritated at the Headmaster. Yet, it was hard for her to focus as her anger was currently the front driver of her actions. Yang was quite thankful her rage was the most dominant emotion as there was a second emotion that was slowly warming its way into her subconscious.

Fear.

'I fought danger on the daily,' Yang clenched her fists tighter to stop them from shaking. 'Yet fighting Cinder, I can't help but see how outclassed I am! Just now, I would have gotten hurt if it wasn't for Headmaster's help. It's so frustrating!'

Not letting her fears cloud her judgment and fighting spirit. Yang continued her assault in making Cinder pay all her attention to her rather than Ozpin and the Fall Maiden, Amber.

Even when struck by Ozpin, Cinder didn't seem that much affected as she was able to dodge more of Yang's attacks. The villainess was able to dodge Yang's first few punches, though Cinder had to admit she had to put in the effort to divert and counter some of Yang's strikes. While Cinder can take care of Yang by herself, Ozpin held the most difficulty for Cinder as he assisted Yang by filling a supporting role.

Making some distance between herself and Yang, Cinder willed her bow to shatter and focused her Fall Maiden power into her hands. Fire danced between Cinder's fingers, and her amber-colored eyes ignited with flames. Extending her hands out at Yang, Cinder unleashed twin streams of fire from the palms of Cinder's hands. Using some of her imagination, the semi-complete Fall Maiden willed the flames to take the shape of a giant serpent that was about to engulf Yang. Only for said blonde to head straight into the serpent's mouth with zero hesitation!

The flame serpent's jaws snapped shut, and just when Cinder thought Yang was being burned alive, the fire snake soon burst into pieces.

Thanks to her semblance and affinity for flames, Yang had no problem handling the heat, and when she was inside the fire snake, the blonde brawler unleased her own fire attack that broke Cinder's construct.

"You already forget that fire doesn't do s^!t to me?" Yang smirked and fired several high powred rounds from her gauntlets that resembled miniature suns at Cinder.

Undaunted by Yang's barrage of fire, Cinder was going to control the flames to do her bidding, only to seize up when noticing green chains materializing around her ankles and wrists.

"Tch!" Trying to break free with no results of said chains breaking. With Cinder immobilized and unable to counter the attack, she had no other choice but to allow her aura and her Maiden powers of fire to endure the hits.

As fireballs pelleted against Cinder, Yang stopped her barrage and waited for the smoke covering Cinder to disperse.

"You still have a hold on her, Headmaster?" Yang asked as she quickly reloaded her Ember Celica with a new batch of shotgun rounds.

"My hold on her has yet to break," Ozpin said in his usual stoic tone. Yet seeing sweat beginning to fall from Ozpin's forehead gave Yang a sign that he was straining to hold Cinder. "Even with only half the powers of a Fall Maiden, Cinder has proven that she can still handle the two of us quite well."

Both still on guard, Ozpin was the first to react by erecting a green force field to protect them when a broad slash of fire came out of the smoke. The impact of the attack didn't shatter the emerald dome that shielded them. However, because Ozpin needed to summon more magic to create the force field, Cinder could feel the chain that bounded her to be less potent. She quickly unleashed more of the Fall Maiden's magic to overpower the chain, causing them the break and giving her back her mobility.

"She's free," Ozpin warned Yang.

"Not for long, she's not!" Yang blasted her gauntlets behind her to increase her speed to charge right back into the fight. Plunging deep into the smoke, Yang saw Cinder, who was holding a bow, about to release an arrow before the blonde stopped her by tackling Cinder off her feet.

"Suprise! B!%$H!" Screamed Yang and then bringing down her fist aimed right at Cinder's head.

The blow never connected as Cinder could still move her head just far enough not to get hit. Cinder performed a quick jab to Yang's chest and bucked her forward, making Yang lose the weight she had Cinder pinned in. Not yet finished, Cinder pulled Yang's right arm down, pushed her to the side, and performed an armbar technique.

When Cinder was about to pull the arm she grabbed, Yang displayed more strength by lifting her upper body, making it harder for Cinder to hold Yang's arm. With Cinder now hanging on to Yang's arm, the blonde attempted to slam Cinder into the hard concrete floor, only for Cinder to let go and making Yang hit her fist into the ground, leaving a sizable crater in the process.

Not letting Cinder getaway, Yang lashed out with a kick knocking Cinder back on the ground. As soon as Cinder landed on the floor, Yang used the same leg that knocked her down by dropping the heel into Cinder's stomach.

"Gah!" The semi-complete Fall Maiden wasn't expecting such an attack to be so strong. And yet Cinder didn't allow such pain to slow her down as she grabbed the foot that Yang dropped on her, twisted it, and heard Yang scream in anger and pain.

"Raah!" The ankle wasn't broken as Yang pulled her foot away from Cinder and stood back up. Once she was back on her feet, Yang attempted to attack Cinder once more when Cinder suddenly unleashed a torrent of flames at Yang.

Moving left to dodge the fire, Yang kept running at Cinder when she noticed that the fire Cinder was unleashing was propelling her backward and away from Yang.

Adjusting her flames, Cinder started to fly high in the air, making it harder for Yang to close the distance. Cinder started to shoot more fire underneath her, burning everything around her and turning the entire room into a sea of flames.

Thankfully, Ozpin wasn't just sitting on the sidelines as he unleashed more magic that was large enough to cover himself, Yang, and also Amber. Like waves hitting the side of a mountain, the Headmaster and student could only watch as Cinder bathed everything in a fire.

"This is insane!" Yang may like to fight, but seeing so much power was a bit discouraging. "Cinder has only half the Fall Maiden's power. So, how the hell is she pulling all of these tricks out of her ass?!"

"As much as I hate to admit it. Amber never honestly used the Fall Maiden to its full potential, only using it as a last resort. Cinder may only have stolen half the power, but she has trained it extensively to perform such powerful feats."

"That or magic is just plain BULLS# T!"

Finally, the flames ended, and Ozpin and Yang could see that Cinder's attack had now changed the room they were in to look like they were inside a volcano.

The once metal walls that held florescent lighting changed into parts where portions of the walls were melted or cracked. Its floors were also in the same sorry shape, with the bonus of flames still alive in certain parts of the room.

"So, I think it's pretty apparent to the both of us that some more help would be appreciated." Yang's scroll was unfortunately damaged during the beginning of the fight. "You got reception down here, Headmaster?"

"No," He shook his head. "This place is built low enough so no external communication can be made."

Yang groaned. "Yeah, well, you start to think that maybe you should've built a landline here or something!" After saying that remark, Yang sees Cinder starting to move more mouth. "Ugh, Cinder's beginning to talk again. Does she think we can hear her across this chamber? Or does this dome of yours cancels sound or something?"

"This dome is for protection, and I rather not lower it so that we can hear whatever nonsense Cinder is spouting out."

It should have been easy for Ozpin to handle Cinder, as he has full control over his magic while Cinder is only controlling half of the Fall Maiden. Add Yang into the mix, and the battle would be over faster than anticipated. However, the problem is that Ozpin can't fully commit to attacking Cinder since protecting Amber was the higher priority. If he did commit to attacking Cinder, then that would mean he had to rely on Yang to protect Amber, and even that idea has the same high risk as well.

"Then since we both don't really care what she's saying." As the Headmaster dropped his magic shield, Yang didn't say anything else and fired a magic blast at Cinder.

Dodging the attack, the huntress shook her head as if disappointed at Ozpin's actions.

"That was rude of you, Ozpi-" Whatever Cinder was about to say ended when Yang landed a solid hit into Cinder's stomach making her gasp for breath. "Gah!"

Thanks to Cinder's arrogance into thinking Ozpin's attack was the only thing she had to dodge. Yang successfully landed a hit that caused Cinder to lose focus and for Yang to attack her a second time.

As the first blow to the stomach was strong enough to make Cinder bend over forward. Yang went behind Cinder, wrapped her arms around Cinder's waist, and, using all her strength, lifted Cinder and slammed her headfirst into the ground.

The impact and power Yang applied were so strong that it left a large crater with Cinder's upper body embedded halfway into the ground. Not even thinking for a second that it was over, Yang grabbed Cinder's legs in an attempt to slam her a second time. Just when Yang uprooted Cinder out of the ground, a feral roar escaped Cinder's lips, and soon both Cinder and Yang were swallowed in a pillar of flames.

"Yang!" Shouted Ozpin as he saw his student engulfed in fire.

Cinder and Yang are in a fistfight, with both fighters taking each other's hits inside the flames. Each strike caused their aura to flare up to absorb the blows, yet the two know that it's only a matter of time before one of them can no longer fight.

A kick from Cinder struck out and landed to Yang's side, and in retaliation, Yang grabbed hold of the leg. Yang's comeback was to twist the knee in the opposite direction, causing Cinder to fall and land on her rear. When Cinder fell, the amber-eyed huntress used her other foot, pressed it against Yang, and ignited a small blast of fire, making Yang let go of Cinder.

She then slammed her palms on the ground and igniting them to bring her back on her feet. Cinder conjured a short sword made of glass into her hand and thrust the blade at Yang.

Yang chose to head straight to the sword thrust instead of dodging, brought her right gauntlet close to her chest, and felt a sharp pain piercing her forearm.

"Gah! Grrrr!" Yang couldn't help but scream a bit from the pain, but she shoved down the suffering for the next part of her plan to be a success.

"Oh~!" Cinder had a sadistic glint in her eye and placed her other hand to apply more force behind the blade. "And where did you think this plan was going, hmmm?"

Yang puts on a brave face only to wince when the blade goes deeper into her arm. Already Yang could feel blood dropping out of her arm, and only did the pain increase did her face soon set into a snarl as her eyes flashed a deep red.

"Getting angry?" Cinder saw Yang about to attack with her other arm, so she added more power to her sword, making it go deeper and make Yang cry out in anguish. "Think your semblance can overpower me? Silly girl, the power you may have is quite fierce, but you lack the smarts to use it. Honestly, the idea that you would be the next Fall Maiden is quite funny to me. Ozpin must be desperate if he thinks you above all should be handed such a boon. Look at you—you're a child with a temper tantrum as a semblance."

Yang wanted to deny what Cinder said and hurl insults at her. Only she didn't, as she knows that some of what Cinder said is true. Yang knows she tends to be too thick-headed, talks with her fists, and also gets a bit overboard at times. Yang knows she doesn't use her head at times, so now Yang intended to correct that mistake.

"Blah, blah, blah!" The blonde spat out with some of her spittle lands on Cinder's cheek. "If you think talking to be to death is the way I want to die, your wrong. If I'm going down, I'm doing down BURNING!"

"...?" Astonished at Yang's brave declaration, Cinder nodded her head in approval. "Very well, if that's how you want to go, I'll oblige." Hands glowing red, Cinder poured heat into the glass sword. "Be thankful that I take last requests."

When the heat reached Yang's arm, Yang smiled at Cinder and spoke in a condescending tone. "Then let me show how thankful I am!"

The heat finally reached the gauntlet, and just when it could burn Yang, the shells within the weapon reacted to the heat. An explosion from the shells within destroyed the gauntlet as well as shattering the glass sword.

Yang prepared for the explosion as she used her other hand to shield her face. Cinder is caught off guard as shrapnel from the gauntlet and the glass shards from her sword sunk into her eye.

"AAAAH!" A shrill cry came from Cinder as she no longer could see from her left eye. "F*#K! AAAAH!"

With shaking hands, Cinder hesitantly touched her damaged eye and gasped when her fingers felt sharp pieces of metal and glass.

Before Cinder could even register the loss of her eye, an arm grabbed her hair, pulled her face forward, and collided with Yang's hard head.

Thanks to the surprise headbutt, the attack pushed some broken metal and glass even further into Cinder's eye!

"GAAAH!" Tears started to well up from Cinder's right eye, but Yang didn't care and had a firm hold on Cinder's hair as she once more headbutted Cinder right in her face! "GUAG! BAGH!"

"Look like I can use my head after all!"

Again and again, Yang continued her assault by bashing her head into Cinder's face. Already the left eye was bleeding a stream of blood down Cinder's face, and her nose was beginning to look broken with Cinder's mouth letting our gasps of pain and incoherent words.

'Don't stop! Don't even think about stopping!' Yang chanted the exact words repeatedly as she used all of her strength to bash her head into Cinder. 'If you stop, Cinder is going to kill Ruby, Qrow, and the rest of your family. So. Do. Not. Stop!'

"AAAAH!" Bringing her head back for one more hit, Yang was soon stooped when Ozpin placed his cane over Yang's neck to stop her. "AAH! RAAH!"

"Yang!" Ozpin shouted her name, yet she did not even register his hold over her, or that Cinder was now lying prone at Yang's feet. "YANG! YANG! It's over!"

Yang continued to scream her lungs out and, after what seemed like hours of screaming, became ones of sobbing. Tears started to flow freely from her now lilac eyes, and all the strength she had in her legs gave out.

Ozpin slowly kneeled next to her and gave her support as his student continued to cry. Hugging the girl, Ozpin allowed Yang to cry on his shoulder and patted her back in comfort.

"Let it all out, Yang." Ozpin talked in a soft tone like he once did with his daughters from his past life. "It's over now. You did it. You stopped Cinder and saved Amber. Saved everyone."

Yang's crying started to quiet down, and she took deep breaths to calm down so she could talk.

"I," What Yang was about to say was cut off as she was starting to hick up and was about to cry again, but Yang took some more deep breaths so she could talk. "I didn't stop because I hate her. I kept hitting her because I kept thinking that if I didn't stop. Cinder would kill my sister, my uncle, and everyone else I like here at Beacon."

"I'm not blaming you for going so far to protect those you care for, Yang," While Ozpin was talking to Yang, he helped her get back up on her feet. "I'm happy to know your actions had a reason, rather than one of mere selfish gratification for violence."

Yang nodded her head and was happy that the Headmaster understood her reasoning. Looking at him, Ozpin had a kind look to his eye, but in a split second, that looks of comfort turned into one of alarm. Confused, Yang was going to ask what was wrong, only to yelp in surprise when Ozpin shoved her aside.

"AAH!" Landing quite harshly on her back, Yang looked back at Ozpin and could see why Ozpin had to push her aside.

Ozpin shoved her away so she would not get hit by a surprise attack by Cinder, who is still conscious!

"GRRAH!" Ozpin's raised his right hand to form a magic attack was stopped mid-chant by a black tendril coming out of Cinder's left hand. Witnessing such a foreign substance exiting out of Cinder's body to attack Ozpin made Yang compare it to some B-Rated sci-fi movie as she has never seen anything like it before.

Thinking aside, Yang didn't wish to stay on the floor forever and got back on her feet to help Ozpin get out of Cinder's clutches.

"Stay back!" He ordered, then soon screamed in agony as the black tendril started to drain Ozpin of his energy.

As the black parasite siphoned off of Ozpin's magic, Cinder's body began to reignite with the Fall Maiden's power.

"Thank you for the pick me up, Ozpin." Even with a crushed left eye, Cinder was wearing her usual smirk as Ozpin's magic was giving her a temporary boost. "Now, with you so close, I might as well deal with you first."

Raising his left hand that held his walking cane, Ozpin attempted to unleash his weapon's hidden feature to stop Cinder. Cinder had the faster reflexes as she materialized a glass spear, threw it at Ozpin, and impaled said spear into Ozpnin's left shoulder.

'That was too fast,' Yang was starting to break in a cold sweat at Cinder's renewed cruelty. 'Dammit! It must be that thing that's latched onto Headmaster Ozpin that's giving her more strength. I need to get that thing off him!'

Firing a dust round at the tendril, Yang dashed toward her Headmaster, who was now clutching his wounded left arm. Yang fired her gauntlet a second time, but only to get some distance between them and Cinder.

"You ok?" Asked Yang before seeing how messed up his left arm is. "You don't have to answer."

"Ugh," Ozpin used his right hand to grabbed the spear and, using as much force as he could muster, shattered it, leaving a gaping wound. To stop the bleeding, Ozpin then proceeded to rip off his coat and covered the damage to slow down the bleeding. "Do not worry about me, Yang. Focus on Amber, or else all is lost."

Having a conflicted look, Yang looked behind her to see Amber was still ok and then looked to the front to see Cinder approaching them.

"Now, with Ozpin crippled," Deciding now to finish things. Cinder pooled the Maiden's magic and condensed it into the palm of her right hand. "You, Yang, will no longer have someone to save you. I would say that the fight I had was interesting, but having a ruined eye changed my perspective."

As the magic fireball getting larger and larger, Yang was going over her head what her next plan of attack was.

'I can dodge before it get's too big, but then that leaves Amber to get killed. Should I take the hit? My aura is still good, and fire won't slow me down. However, I'm sure Ozpin isn't as resilient as I am, and he's way too weak with his injury and now low on magic.'

"Farwell, trash." Said Cinder as she finally released the now giant fireball at Yang and a still weak Ozpin.

"F%#K!" No longer having time to think, Yang's only choice now was to have Ozpin pushed behind her and braced herself to take the attack head-on. "Whatever magic you have left to pull from your ass, Headmaster. Now would be a good time!"

"I may have enough for another forcefield, but I don't have enough magic to create a second one if she decided to pelt us with more fireballs."

"She took that much magic from you?!"

Even when the attack was heading closer and sealing their doom, Yang couldn't help but speak her final words.

"I knew magic was bulls^!t!"

(TWIP! TWIP!)

Yang and Ozpin were saved when two web lines latched on to their back and pulled them away from the attack.

"I got you two!" Shouted Spider-Man as he hoisted them off the ground with his webs.

As they landed close to Amber's tube, and without hesitating, Ozpin unleashed his magic one last time to shield against the attack.

When the fire spell collided with the barrier, Ozpin gritted his teeth and pushed everything he had left into the shield. While the protection was holding up against the attack, Spider-Man, used his ice dust webbing to create a second inner layer to increase the defense.

As the ice wall was erected, Ozpin was now out of magic and couldn't hold the barrier anymore, leaving the ice wall to take care of the rest.

Luckily the magic barrier handled most of the power behind Cinder's attack and when the ice wall melted. It showed Spider-Man, Yang, Ozpin, and a still alive Amber accounted for and not dead.

"Spider-Man!" Screamed Cinder seeing the Webhead in front of her helping Ozpin and Yang.

"Cinder!" Shouted Spider-Man only instead of anger. It was as if he was happy to see her. "Fancy meeting you here! Wow! Look at you, all dressed up and missing an eye. I got to say. Your new look is really something! Who did your make-up? Actually, don't answer. I think I know the answer."

Even though Spider-Man was acting cool-headed underneath the armor, Jaune had a nervous look to him as he assessed the situation.

'I see Yang, a one-eyed bad guy, a half-dead Headmaster, and a coma patient inside a sleeping pod. Yeah, this environment is way over my head right now, and I feel like asking for some details isn't important right now.'

"Talk all you want, bug." Cinder flared her Maiden magic to make her float in the air, with fire appearing behind her to make her more menacing. "It doesn't matter if an added meat shield is between me and my destiny. I will have the full power of the Maiden! I will become unstoppable!"

"Sheeesh!" Spider-Man couldn't help but let out one last insult at the supervillain. "You know, I was already scared of you since you have that whole 'crazy, one-eyed woman' thing going on, but you just," Spider-Man pointed his thumb down to the ground. "Had to open your mouth, and I, I just can't take you seriously anymore. I'm sorry."

After Spider-Man said that, all hell broke loose.

Miles away from the Kingdom's walls, Ant-Man, or more literal Giant-Man, was pushing back against the Wyvern to stop the Grimm from advancing to the city.

Two behemoths were duking it out for dominance, with most of everyone looking at such a spectacle. Some can even compare it to the classic giant monster movies they used to watch, now in real life as both giant and Grimm were in a constant deadlock.

Everyone seeing the fight could only look in awe at such a great fight just outside their city.

Ant-Man had a much more different opinion regarding the match-up.

"Ow!Ow!Ow!Ow! Not the teeth!" Ant-Man, now known as Giant-Man, real name Scott Lang, was having a terrible experience right now. As he never once fought a Grimm like this, let alone Grimm at all! "God! It's like I'm trying to hold a pissed-off chihuahua!"

In the beginning, the Wyvern tried to get past Giant-Man and head back to the city to rain down smaller Grimm. Thankfully, Giant-Man has kept the beast at bay and is now pinning it to the ground with said Wyvern thrashing around to free itself.

By mistake, Giant-Man pinned its neck with his arm and was just close enough for the Wyvern to bite down on the offending arm. Thankfully the suit was sturdy enough not to allow the Wyvern's sharp teeth to puncture.

"GAAAH!" Shouted Giant-Man out of sheer pain from the Wyvern's mighty jaws. "Ok, forget a chihuahua! I now know what it's like getting bitten by a freakin crocodile!"

Though the pain was terrible, Giant-Man still maintained his grasp at the giant Grimm. Not once letting go, even when his muscles were beginning to get sore from holding down the wild animal.

"Woah!" Caught off guard by the Wyvern's attempt to buck the giant over, the size-changing hero stopped its moving by raising a fist and hitting it right in the eye. "Can you take a hint and just lay there!? God, I kind of wish I had a roll of giant duck tape right now!"

"Scott!" Wasp was flying around Giant-Man's helmet, who was now in her regular size to gain his attention better. "I got word from Iron Man! All the Atlas drones are now under his control and are helping exterminate the remaining Grimm within the city!"

"That's great," When he tried to talk, Giant-Man had to push down the Wyvern back to the ground. "Would appreciate it more if some of those drones get over here!"

Wasp understood Scott's situation all too well, even though the size increase was assisting in stopping the Wyvern from attacking. The problem now lies with staying giant for a continuous amount of time.

'How long has it been for Scott?' Checking his vitals with the help of her helmet being connected to Scott's suit. Hope can see that Scott's current heart rate was slowly increasing. 'So far, he's been maintaining his size and is conserving his strength. Killing the Wyvern would make Scott exert more energy and would cause him to go into cardiac arrest.'

As Wasp was flying over Giant-Man, Hope noticed the Wyvern's body beginning to act erratically. At first glance, Wasp assumed the Wyvern was standing still because it became tired from all its thrashing, yet as Wasp flew closer, she started to see why.

"Scott!" Wasp shouted through her communicator that's built into her helmet. "Look behind you! Your legs!"

"Huh?" Doing as she said, Scott turned his head, and his eyes widened to see Grimm crawling on his legs! "Holy crap!"

Seeing so many small Grimm crawling over his legs was quite an ironic sight for the hero whose name had 'Ant' in it. Irony aside, to know that the Wyvern's new strategy was to overwhelm Giant-Man gave way to only two options the Ant hero has.

Either keep hold of the Wyvern and allow the smaller Grimm to overwhelm him and slowly kill him by over a thousand stings, bites, and claws. Or let go of the Wyvern, deal with the tiny Grimm ankle biters, and in the process, give the Wyvern the needed time to escape and attack the city again.

"I got you, Scott!" Firing bioelectric blast from her hands to knock back the Grimm off of Scott's body. She realized that as much firepower she was using, it wasn't giving the needed help for Scott as Grimm continued to crawl all over him.

"I don't think," Scott made several heavy breaths. "I can hold on for much longer!"

Checking his vital signs, she was alarmed at seeing Scott's heart rate increasing faster and faster. Looking back at the size-changing hero, Wasp can already see he was holding over the Wyvern, beginning to slacken. Stopping her barrage of attacks, Wasp flew high to reach Giant-Man's helmet and started talking to him.

"Scott!" She called out his name to get his attention and also to keep him focused. "There's too many for me to kill, and you're almost reaching your limit! We need to change things up before your too weak-hold the Wyvern!"

"Then... instead of growing... to match the... Wyvern's size," Scott shook his head to get his faculties in check. "We should do the reverse!"

Understanding what Scott was implying, Hope flew to the Wyvern's maw and, without hesitation, plunged right in!

Several seconds passed after Wasp went inside the belly of the beast, and with each second ticking by, Giant-Man was losing more and more strength.

"Ugh," Not able to maintain gigantification any longer, Giant-Man reverted to Ant-Man. With the sudden size change, all of the Grimm crawling all over his body soon plummeted to the ground, instantly killing them due to the fall. "Wasp!" He shouted her name through the communicator! "I'm sorry! I couldn't hold the form long enough! Please tell me your ready!?"

As Ant-Man was falling, the Wyvern Grimm got back up, saw the falling hero, and opened its jaws to eat the annoying insect!

'I don't have enough Pym Particles to grow, and I'm too far away to call for any ants to save me!'

Just when Ant-Man was getting closer and closer into the Wyvern's waiting jaws. Wasp emerged out of the monster's throat and saved Ant-Man in the nick of time right before the Wyvern could close its massive jaws shut!

"Sorry, it took so long!" She said as Wasp was carrying Ant-Man bridal style. "I almost took the wrong hole."

"Hey, if you were a couple of seconds late, I would have met you in there." Replied Ant-Man. Turning his head around, Ant-Man can see the Wyvern beginning to take flight. "How much longer?"

After Ant-Man asked that the Elder Grimm was about to take off when suddenly its body began to shrink! What was once a towering monster soon became the size of a gecko! The Wyvern Grimm could only scream in frustration and confusion, wondering how it became so small.

Wasp then landed where the now small creature was and set Ant-Man back on his feet to stand. Ant-Man soon picked it up with only his thumb and index finger and raised it in front of his eyes to get a better look at it.

"Kind of cute when it's not a Kaiju-sized threat." Pulling out a small vial from his belt, he dropped the tiny Wyvern inside the vial and placed it back for safekeeping. "How much did you give it?"

"All of it." Says Wasp. "I'm not sure keeping it alive is a smart choice, Scott. Even if it remains small, it's still a Grimm."

"You say that, but don't we already have an ant the size of a golden retriever living in our house?"

"...Right." Giving up on the argument, Wasp let Ant-Man take the tiny Grimm with him. "Spider-Man, can hear me? Ant-Man and I neutralized the threat. Black Panther, what's your status?"

Her question wasn't getting an answer from Spider-Man. Thankfully, Black Panther did answer with some explosion happening within the background as he was talking.

"Wasp, I am glad you and Ant-Man handled that monstrosity." Another explosion came after Black Panther said that. "Unfortunately, I do not think Spider-Man can hear us through the communicators."

"Well, what about you?" She asked the prince of Wakanda.

A scream and several explosions erupted through her comms. After the loud noises ended, Black Panther answered with haste.

"Fighting a rage monster. I'm sorry, but I can't talk any further!"

"Wait, do you need help?"

No answer came from Black Panther, and with no information on where Spider-Man is, she wondered if they were in trouble. As if sensing her unease, V.I.C enters the conversation to help them get caught up on where Iron Man and Spider-Man are.

"Hey, how's it going, dudes?" V.I.C asked with his usual carefree attitude. "Congrats on taking down that beast of a Grimm. Much respect! Wished I was there to record the whole thing!"

"Don't worry, Ant-Man got something way better than a recording or pictures. Anyway, V.I.C, can you tell us how everything at Beacon is holding up?"

"Beacon is almost back in control of the staff, and with the help of the drones, things are slowly getting back to normal."

"That's great to hear." Wasp felt a bit lighter, knowing that the city and her people would be just fine. "And what about Spider-Man? We didn't hear him after he went to Beacon."

"Iron Man is helping Spider-Man deal with Cinder." Answered V.I.C. "You won't hear them cause they are underground the school."

"Underground?"

"Yeah, apparently, the Headmaster has a secret underground floor that scrambles any outside communications. He uses that floor to house some girl that has been in a coma for a couple of years."

"..." Wasp couldn't form a proper sentence after V.I.V said all of that. Wasp wasn't sure if she should say anything after hearing what V.I.C said. And yet, her logical side knew that Wasp needed V.I.C to clarify better, or else her imagination might run wild. "V.I.C, I would appreciate it if you could tell me the entire story, please."

"Magic exists, and that girl in a coma, Amber, is considered a Fall Maiden."

"...Go on." Wasp looked at Ant-Man, who tilted his head to show his confusion as to what V.I.C said.

Briefing them on what happened in the short time they were handling the Wyvern. V.I.C has discovered that Ozpin has been secretly housing a young woman who harbored actual magic. This woman, Amber, was labeled the 'Fall Maiden,' a reference to a fairy tale about the seasons. From the Breach to the Vytal festival invasion, all to reach the secret floor underneath Beacon to kill Amber. And once Cinder kills Amber, she will inherit the full power of the Fall Maiden and wreak untold mayhem.

After finishing the exposition, V.I.C informed them of what Spider-Man and Iron Man are doing to prevent Cinder from accomplishing her goal.

"Spider-Man should be reaching the bottom floor and stopping Cinder. Iron Man is also heading down there to back him up! "

"Then we don't have a moment to lose!" Producing her wings, Wasp took to the air, followed by Ant-Man, who changed into the size of an Ant and landed on her shoulder to hitch a ride.

"We get to do an incredible superhero team up to stop a kingdom-ending threat. And now we get to face someone who has magic! I know the possibility for failure could lead to our deaths, but you got to admit our lives are beginning to really turn into a live-action comic book!"

"If so," Wasp laughed at what Ant-Man was said. "Then this is a really poorly written comic book!"

Down below the school, Spider-Man and Yang were fighting against Cinder while Ozpin remained at Amber's sleeping pod.

At the beginning of the fight, Spider-Man was the main target for Cinder, as she knew that he was the most significant threat compared to Yang and Ozpin.

Yang was difficult to handle initially, though it became apparent to Cinder that the blonde brawler wasn't at her best. Of course, Yang had given Cinder a crushing blow that left her with only one functioning eye—leaving Cinder to be in a much more difficult spot than Yang.

Too bad that thanks to Cinder's parasite Grimm living inside her stealing Ozpin's magical energy booster gave the fractured Fall Maiden the needed second wind.

"Just try and stop me!" Screamed Cinder as her single eye flared with the literal fire of rage. "Your just stall for the inevitable!"

Spider-Man dodged with each fireball thrown at him, and when he flipped over to avoid yet another fire attack. The armored Webhead raised an open hand at Cinder and fired a repulsor blast!

With a wave of her hand, Cinder created a wall of fire that blocked the repulsor blast. About to retaliate with another stream of fire, Cinder bit back a yell in surprise when her back got hit by a chunk of rock thrown by Yang.

"GRRRR!" Cinder snarled and was set her sights on Yang, only bring her arms in front of her to block a leg strike by Spider-Man. "Disappear, you insect!"

Pushing back the kick, Spider-Man landed back on the ground only to move to the left to avoid a glass spear thrown by Cinder. Spider-sense flaring up, Spider-Man ejected a web line to avoid a pillar of fire that erupted underneath him.

While web-swinging, Spider-Man continued to attack Cinder by firing volley's of web bullets as well as repulsor blasts. Her magic deflected the attacks, yet as Cinder focused on Spider-Man, it gave Yang the chance to strike Cinder from behind.

The strike made Cinder lose her balance and concentration, and that brief moment of weakness was all Spider-Man, and Yang needed to attack.

Yang struck Cinder from the back, Spider-Man at the front, and both melee fighters landed hit after hit in the villain without remorse.

"Rah!" Yang threw a punch to Cinder's kidney making her howl in pain only to have her mouth forcefully shut as Spider-Man performed an uppercut to her bottom jaw.

Once again set in a daze, Cinder was defenseless as Yang kicked the back of Cinder's knees, causing her to fall and for Spider-Man to raise his knee so it could hit Cinder right in the face. The blow sent her head to reel back, making her neck exposed for Yang to grab. Having a tight hold on Cinder's neck, Yang dropped to sprawl while at the same time having a figure four around Cinder's neck, choking her.

"Gah!" Gasping for breath, the half Maiden willed for the fire element to kill Yang, only for Spider-Man to drop an elbow right onto Cinder's chest, knocking the wind out of her. "Hah! Hah!"

Making sure she stays down, Spider-Man shot webbed Cinder's arms to the floor so that she may not defend herself as Spider-Man began to hit her repeatedly in the face!

Gritting through the assault, Cinder pooled her magic powers to the soles of her feet. With the sudden propulsion moving Cinder along with Yang and Spider-Mam. The hero instinctive grabbed the young huntress, shot a web to the ceiling, and pulled themselves away. Right as Spider-Man swung away, Cinder unleashed a wave of fire aimed right at them.

"Spidey!" Screamed Yang. "Behind us!"

Already tracking, there was danger thanks to his spider-sense picking up danger coming for him. Spider-Man tossed Yang into the air while letting go of his web line.

The timing was perfect as the fire missed both Yang and Spider-Man, and as the fire passed them, Spider-Man shot a new web line and caught Yang with his free arm.

Lowering Yang back to the ground, Spider-Man was about to ask if she could keep going when his danger sense warned him that Cinder was going to attack.

"Get back!" Shouted Spider-Man pushing Yang back from where she was standing.

From where Yang once stood, a pillar of fire erupted from the ground. The very ground they stood on began to shake, and random spots started to blow fire hot enough to cause the floor to glow red. Spider-Man didn't need to give out a warning to Yang as she knew that staying in one place was a death sentence.

Geysers began to form from the floor, and fire shot straight to the ceiling, making the already ruined area into hell on Remnant.

"How the hell is she still flinging firepower like that?" Asked Spider-Man. He wanted to web swing out of danger only to rethink his decision with how there was fire practically everywhere.

"She has a Grimm that can steal magic!" Screamed Ozpin. Even with only one functioning arm, he still remained focused on the computer that maintained Amber's life support. "It's the same parasite that took away half of Amber's Fall Maiden powers. With half of the Maiden and my magic, Cinder has temporarily closed the gap to be a complete Maiden!"

"So because she stole your magic, Cinder has the power of a full maiden now?" Yang dodged a recently formed fire geyser and then looked at the Headmaster with a skeptical look. "I call Bu!S*&t! You have to be making this up at this point! I serious- F #K!"

Yang fired her gauntlet to launch her to the right to dodge a fire spear thrown at Cinder. "Piss off, B! #H! Or else I'm going over there and taking your other eye!"

Hearing Yang say that ignited Cinder's rage even further, and seeing Ozpin defenseless caused her to now unleash her anger on him.

A ball of fire was thrown at the Headmaster only for Spider-Man to intercept the attack by shooting ice dust webbing to freeze the fire and shatter it with a single punch.

"Ok, I should have done this from the start." The spider hero shot several hardline dust webbing to form a barrier to protect Amber and Ozpin. "There that should hold long enough for Yang and me to handle Cinder. When this is done, you and I are going to have a long talk about all of this."

"Spider-Man, I would gladly give you the answers you need," Ozpin raised a finger and pointed behind me. "Until then, you might want to look behind you."

By the time his spider-sense blared to life, Spider-Man had reacted to his danger sense by turning around and caught the speeding projectile with one hand.

"Ugh! Again with the glass!" A second was all he needed to shatter the stupid thing. Yet Spider-Man decided to return the glass javelin to Cinder with a custom gift wrap. "I hope you like the wrapping paper!"

Throwing the spear back at Cinder, the evil Maiden saw the incoming projectile and willed the glass weapon to disintegrate before it could pierce her. And just as the spear turned into glass specks, the webbing that Spider-Man attached to soon expanded and formed into a net trapping Cinder with her arms bound to her sides.

"Pathetic!" Either Spider-Man was getting desperate to try and bound her with something flammable, or he was just stupid if he thought his webbing could hold her again. "Such a simple attack won't hold me-"

Spider-Man activated the thrusters built in the suit and flew straight at Cinder, knocking her back on the ground before she could finish her sentence.

'Really need to remember web-swinging isn't my only mode of transportation.'

Using Cinder as a cushion as they fell to the floor, Spider-Man redirected his flight forward while pushing Cinder against the floor. A trench soon began to form, with Cinder sinking deeper and deeper into the ground to where her entire body sunk deep into the trench.

Not letting Spider-Man bury her alive, Cinder burned the webbing off her and placed her hands on Spider-Man's chest. Spider-Man could already feel the intense heat through the armor when her hands glowed red, making him react by letting Cinder go.

Biting back a yell from how painful the burns were, Spider-Man saw Cinder getting out of the trench and raised herself back in the air.

"How long do you think you can outlast me, Spider-Man?" Regardless of how beaten she looked, Cinder still held a smirk of triumph. "Your only holding back the inevitable. While you try and help the dead weight, the Headmaster and Amber-"

"This B! #h just call me dead weight!"

"The droids I have under control are likely back online attacking Vale, and the Grimm Wyvern most likely destroyed half the Kingdom by now." A gasp left her lips as she remembered Adam was also here in Beacon. "I almost forgot! Adam is also here, and he's been very anxious about fighting you again. Maybe after killing some of Beacon's students and Blake, I'll bring your broken body to him so he may finish you off. Then again, all of this slaughter can end of you just let me have Amber. Does one life, a life that is a death door, really worth the lives of Vale's people?"

"..." When Spider-Man stayed silent, Cinder thought he was weighing the limited options he had and would push further when he started to talk again. "I'm sorry, I was talking to someone right now. What did you say? That my option is limited? Funny, I should say the same thing to you."

"No, Spider-Man, I believe-"

"You said that Atlas droids were making things worse in Vale." Spider-Man interrupted her. "That's your first mistake. Because you may think your so smart to take control of Atlas's military weapons."

(FWOOOO-BOOM!)

The signature sound of Iron Man's repulsor blast crashed into Cinder, making her yell in surprise. Turning around, she sees Iron Man hovering in the air wearing a new set of armor.

"Too bad you didn't take account that I can hack military-grade weapons too." The metallic voice coming from Iron Man's helmet couldn't hide how smug he sounded. "I mean, hacking isn't that hard. I figured hacking out in the 2nd grade! Your little robot army is now in my control, cleaning up your little stunt."

"And for your Kaiju friend that can spawn Grimm," Cinder turned around to face Spider-Man. "Ant-Man and Wasp are taking care of it. Wanna bet they'll be turning that Zilla of a monster into a harmless pet lizard?"

"Adam is also preoccupied dealing with Black Panther, and so far, I can already predict that Adam is close to defeat." It didn't take a genius to realize that most of Cinder's cards were all played out. Any hope of winning seemed farther and farther out of reach, as Iron Man started to talk about how flawed her plans were.

"Honestly, It was actually hilarious if you thought you had control over the entire academy and also Atlas military. I mean, from the start, I already took control of the droids and Beacon. I even used your little virus to hide my own little tricks against your security to find your dirty secrets."

Hearing Iron Man says he knows her secrets knocked the air of confidence she had earlier. This entire time she thought she had covered her secrets all this time. From secrets of knowing who are double agents to even keeping a tight lip of who her master was. But now that Iron Man knows, Cinder can already imagine what punishment she will receive when she returns to her master.

"Let's cut the fighting and the banter and just get down to it." Spider-Man took back the conversation so he could say his piece. "You lost Cinder. Not when you lost control over the droids, lost the Wyvern, or even outnumbered three to one. You lost the moment you thought you could get away at attempting to destroy an entire kingdom. Now, you can try to fight, or you can surrender."

All the frustration and anger Spider-Man has over her for all the sins she committed would be considered justifiable if he decided to fight her until she can't fight anymore. Only that isn't entirely why he was here in the first place. He was here to stop further loss of life and see Cinder and her cronies face justice and go to jail for their crimes.

'The Headmaster isn't looking so good either.' Spider-Man was no doctor, but seeing how Ozpin got his arm impaled was clear that he needed to see a professional medical STAT. 'Plus, the faster we can detain Cinder and fix all the mess she made. The quicker we can get more insight into why Ozpin keeps a comatose girl hidden underneath the school.'

"Just stop this madness, Cinder." To show he was not going for violence, Spider-Man raised his hands with his palms facing forward as a sign of goodwill. 'She still looks jumpy. Probably cause I'm wearing this suit. If only I can take this off.'

The world of Remnant seemed to give Spider-Man a bone as he somehow stumbled upon the option to take off the suit on the corner of his HUD. Giving the command to power down, Spider-Man heard several plates of metal opening and folding until he felt the warm air touch his skin through tears of his homemade super suit.

"I'm sure if you just stop now and comply with us, Cinder." Spider-Man took a step forward, and Cinder didn't move nor tried to attack him. "And help by giving us some names of who helped you pull this off. I promise you. I'll make sure your sentence will be comfortable and have the bests security to protect you."

Seeing Spider-Man talk down Cinder and giving her an out made Yang and Ozpin stunned at Spider-Man's action. Not too long ago, Spider-Man dropped the people's elbow on Cinder, and now he is extending an olive branch to her?

"You can't be-" Yang was about to step forward to put in her thoughts about this when Iron Man stopped her. "Are you letting this happen?"

"If I'm honest, I wouldn't mind dropping an iron fist on her head." As a matter a fact, Iron Man was anticipating Cinder to strike as soon as Spider-Man powered down the suit. "Only Cinder seems to contemplate the idea of giving up. She isn't deciding to use violence, and neither should we when the least resistance is available. As much as we think it's ok to hurt Cinder for the things she's done. We need to prioritize injured civilians and not increase the problem."

Any justifiable rage Yang had left her fists, and the tension she had built up left her body with a sigh of frustration. "Dammit, I hate it when we're the good guy sometimes."

Ozpin also had the same mindset as Yang. The Headmaster knows he should have a leveled head and agree to Spider-Man's choice of giving Cinder a peaceful surrender. The only issue is that Cinder works for someone far too powerful and freighting to consider double-crossing. Though Spider-Man's approach could be seen as commendable, Ozpin knows that with thousands of past lives under his belt, he knows that it'll take more than talking to gain trust from the enemy.

And that was the unfortunate truth as Cinder's stilled form wasn't one of contemplating the off Spider-Man gave her. Cinder was going through the many painful punishments she'd go through when she returned to her master.

'If I return,' Either cut her losses and return empty-handed and receive a fatal end or surrender, prolonging her life just a little bit longer until Cinder's Master finds a way to get her back and have her killed more horribly. 'No. NO! This can't be how it ends! Not to someone like me! I'll be damned to give these bastards the satisfaction of seeing me weak! I won't be weak! I won't go back to who I was before!'

"Cinder," Spider-Man said her name causing her to shake off her inner thoughts and focus on the masked hero. "Your answer?"

The question was simple, yet it held the heavyweight that can lead to either everyone walking out of this alive or one of them leaving in a body bag.

Her answer was on the tip of her tongue and by sheer divine intervention did an outside source finally, a violent shake coming from above, did Cinder's choice finally came forth by the sound of her laughing.

"What's happing above?" Yang asked as she did her best to stay on her feet while the entire area shook with parts of the ceiling beginning to fall. "I thought you said the Atlas drones are in your control? Or is it the Wyvern?"

"This isn't the drones, nor the Wyvern." Iron Man scanned the entire floor's integrity and what he was seeing was not good at all. "Something else is causing the quake, and its sheer magnitude is making this entire floor crumble! We need to leave. NOW!"

Typing the main computer with more urgency his one hand can do, Ozpin attempting to disengage Amber's sleeping chamber when a piece of the ceiling crashed into the equipment he was using. "You've got to be SH!$#*$ me right now!"

Soon the hard-light webbing protecting Ozpin and the sleeping Fall Maiden began to crack from the unstable ceiling and shattered, turning into a hail of daggers raining down on the two.

One such hard light shard fell right on top of Amber's sleeping pod, pierced the thick glass, and impaled Amber!

Amber's eyes finally opened from the intense pain, and the first thing she saw was Cinder laughing. Fear took control of her entire body as she began to hyperventilate due to her trauma. As her breath quicked, so too made the loss of blood from her gaping wound leave her body. When the final motes of hard-lite dissipated, Amber's body became still, and whatever life she had left her and the other half of the Fall Maiden.

"AAGH!" Spider-Man's danger sense jumped from a 1 to 100 when Amber died. He wished he had time to process what happened but couldn't when Cinder's laughing stopped, and a wave of heat started to emit from her.

'So hot!' Activating the suit Iron Man gave him, Spider-Man had hoped the suit could fend off the heat. Feeling the armor fully encase him, Spider-Man's HUD showed him the room temperature getting higher and higher. 'If it gets any hotter, I'm not sure the armor can protect me. Just what the hell is Cinder doing?'

The wave of intense heat finally ended, and Cinder, now a fully-fledged Fall Maiden, looked at her opponents with a new fire in her eye filled with new vigor.

"Thank you, Amber." Cinder said with genuine gratefulness.

A spike of Spider-Sence was the only warning Spider-Man had, and trusting his danger sense, the Webhead shifted his body to the right.

It was only just a tiny inch to the right that saved Spider-Man life as Cinder fired a small fireball missing the hero. Cinder didn't seem mad at Spider-Man dodging her attack as her real target was Amber's corpse.

An explosion rang out, and the sleeping capsule that held Amber was no more, leaving only a burnt metal coffin.

"And goodbye. Forever."

I am very sorry it took so long to publish. I had intended to publish this chapter at the end of September, but my work needed me to perform a task late at night that made me push the chapter for this weekend.

I'll be honest, I wanted to add more, but I don't want you all to wait any longer. I can't promise I'll have another chapter ready by the end of this month, but I will try to complete the next chapter. I hope you guys liked this one and I also hope you guys check out Nacoma's fanfic too. I would usually answer my reasons for why I wrote the hero's actions and such, yet seeing as this chapter was supposed to be published in September, I might as well just skip that part and say thank you all for reading. I hope you guys liked it and please leave a message if you guys have any questions. Thank you.

[Omake: RWBY ZOMBIEVERSE]

After Iron Man flew Spider-Man and Amber back to their Airship used to rescue survivors and also their equipment.

"How's Amber?" Asked Spider-Man their onboard doctor the Fall Maiden's status.

"She's stable." She answered. "The only problem is that if we keep her here it would mean using most of our medical equipment to keep her that way and we're already close to running low. We need to head back to base soon."

"Ok," Spider-Man nodded his head and turned to leave. "Keep me posted for any changes you see."

Leaving the doctor to perform the rest of her daily duties on the ship. Spider-Man walked down the hallway to reach another room that was labeled 'Engineering'.

Knocking on the hatch, Spider-Man heard a muffled "Enter!", and as he opened the door he sees Whitley fiddling around with a cybernetic arm and leg that were on a workbench and his armor stationed in the far right corner.

Ever since the Zombie outbreak started and the kingdom of Vale falling, Whitley really didn't see a need to hide his identity as much as Remnant was dealing with a much bigger problem right now.

"Hey, Spider-Man," Whitley said without looking at who entered.

Closing the door behind him, Jaune finally removed his mask showing his face to have now dark rings under his eyes and growing signs of facial hair.

"Hey yourself," Walking closer to the workbench, Jaune sat on one of the chairs and stared at Whitley's work. The airship stirred from the turbulence and Jaune had to hold his stomach to not vomit from his motion sickness. "Ugh! Still can't get used to this. Amber is doing ok, but we have to head back to base. We're running low and can't stay in Vale any longer."

"Finally," Putting down a screwdriver, Whitley used his only arm to grab the prosthetic arm and attached it to his right shoulder. Testing the fingers on the metallic appendage, Whitely placed both his arms below his waist and started to push away from the bench to reveal that he was in a wheelchair. "I still can't believe you're trying to hide your identity. You do know we're in an apocalypse right now."

"Aren't we already in an apocalypse since humanity is constantly endangered by Grimm? Does that mean we're in a double apocalypse?"

"Smartass." Even when losing an arm and a leg, Whitley still could laugh at Jaune's quirkiness. "But you do know that saving Amber was the easy part. Now comes the hard part in transferring her safely back."

"Yeah, now that Amber's out in the open, we have to worry about trying to find Cinder. Or maybe, prepare to face Cinder when she finds us."

Suddenly, the alarms warning them of danger rang out and the two suited up and made their way to the command deck where they are greeted by the ship's captain.

"Glad you two made it," Bringing up a screen showing the top of the ship. The to watched at who was attacking them while the captain explained what was happening. "A group of Lancers and Manticores started to attack us, yet their pattern of attack is more orderly than we anticipated. Even more strange is that the colorations of the Grimm are-"

"That's because they're not Grimm." Iron Man said and started to leave. "I'll be heading out to deal with the attack. Hopefully, I can distract them long enough for you guys to escape."

"Let me help," Spider-Man was going to follow only to stop when Iron Man raised a hand at him. "You know you were lucky the first two times you were against them."

"This isn't up for discussion," Walking out of the command deck, Iron Man spoke in a low tone only he can hear. "This time, I'll make sure this will be the last reunion I have with them."

As Iron Man walked out, Spider-Man looked back at the monitor and saw the feed of a Manticore circling around the airship while the rest of the Grimm attacked.

What was special about this Manticore was that it was carrying two certain individuals who were the leaders of this assault.

Winter Schnee, whose appearance was usually clean, proper, and militaristic. Was now tattered, dirty, and had several spots of blood from countless victims she consumed after she was turned.

And the one who turned her into such a monster was none other than Weiss Schnee, who was now just a torso with said second oldest Schnee strapped the oldest's back with nothing but her hanging intestines.
