(Chapter 54 A new Game Begins)

The city was able to see another sunrise after the hellish nightmare she went through last night. Everyone who survived cried with both tears of joy that they were alive and tears of sadness for the lost lives. It didn't take long for Vale and Atlas to use their military resources to provide relief aid throughout the city. Not just the military, but the Huntsmen provided their help by keeping guard outside the walls in case more Grimm showed up.

None have said a word about being compensated for their security, as most Hunstmen usually do for taking a job. Instead, they put their actions into words by helping civilians get the proper treatment and help retrieve any bodies they can find in the city.

F.E.A.S.T. was also doing its due diligence for assisting in helping shelter families who lost their homes and also helping the hospital by giving more room in the building to house the wounded. Aunt May has been at F.E.A.S.T., offering whatever help she can, and Mr. Li was also doing his best to keep things flowing.

Everyone in the city did their best to fix their city and prepare for what was to come in the next few days.

The past five days of getting the city back in a semblance of working order and stability gave everyone the time to finally grief appropriately for what was lost that day.

A large memorial was erected near the exact spot where the Breach happened. The monument has names of the lives lost from the Breach and the Vytal Festival. Many attended and gave offerings and said their final goodbyes to friends, lovers, and family.

Several miles away from the newly created memorial was the city's Graveyard that held the dead bodies of the city's locals. In a particular plot of land, people were wearing all black and in attendance for those being buried. The eulogy was already over and the people left were a close group who knew the person while he was still alive.

"Do you think these are enough?" Harry Osborn placed a bouquet near the tombstone. Sanding aside, Harry gave way to Eddie, who also gave his offerings to the gravestone.

"I wished we could have done something." Regret was clear in Eddie's voice, yet a slender hand gently landed and squeezed his shoulder.

"Don't," Gwen's eyes were red, and a visible tear threatened to break free moments ago. "He wouldn't want anyone of us to think we were the cause of his death."

"..."

"..."

The two teens didn't talk after Gwen said, and the sounds of the wind and other people who attended could be heard behind them.

"She's right, guys,"

The faint sounds of someone walking behind the three were their only warning before a fourth person gave their offering to the lost soul.

Jaune Arc, A.K.A Spider-Man made a small prayer before standing back up to look at his friends. "He wouldn't want his death to be on you guy's conscious."

'Yeah, none of you all should feel guilty because I should be the one who should be feeling guilty.'

Blue eyes lingered on the name etched into the gravestone for a couple of seconds before stepping away to let Gwen have her moment.

"Thanks for coming, guys," Gwen didn't look at her friends when she said it and just continued to stare at the grave. "I'm glad you all can make it."

"We wouldn't miss this, Gwen." Eddie put his hand on Gwen's shoulder and didn't move away from the larger blonde's closeness committed.

"Thanks." She whispered, then finally allowing her tears to fall and land freely on top of the grave housing her father.

Officer Stacy died that night protecting civilians from the Grimm that successfully invaded the city. While many officers hunkered down defending parts of the city, Officer Stacy went above and beyond the call of duty in search of anyone who needed shelter from the Grimm. He saved a dozen people and half a dozen critically injured from dying, but he was found dead the following day on his final attempt to comb parts of the city.

An autopsy has shown he had large stab wounds from a claw in his chest, instantly killing him rather than being torn to shreds like most casualties to Grimm attacks. It was morbid to think that it was a blessing to find his body this well preserved and so was given an open casket funeral. His brothers of blue and close friends he knew both on and off work were there, but the only one that was his family was just Gwen.

"She looks like she doesn't want to be here," Harry said offhandedly to Jaune as they watched from the sidelines of people that knew Gwen's dad surrounding her. "Reminds me when I go to fancy parties that my dad hosts or are invited to. People always talk to him, and if minor business tycoons can't get their time with talking to my dad. They try to talk to me in hopes to use me to get to my dad or use their minions to buddy up to me."

"Um, are you saying they're trying to get something from her?" Asked Jaune, not seeing what Harry was getting at. Both boys stepped away to take their calls, and by the time they showed up, Gwen was being talked to by so many people who were at the funeral that she couldn't walk away. Thankfully, Eddie was with her and had an arm around her shoulder for security that gave Gwen the strong rock she needed to endure so many people talking to her.

"Empty words of comfort." Simplified Harry. "When you the son of one of the richest men in Vale. You get to see how some people operate when talking to others. I learned to pick up different social cues about what they say with genuine people. Some feel sorry about his loss, yet a handful is just there to say empty words to act sympathetic."

Continuing to look at Gwen and Eddie handle the group of adults, Jaune could see that Eddie traveled his arm that was slung over Gwen's shoulders and held her hand, which she squeezed securely.

"I think we don't need to worry about her, Harry." Jaune motioned his friend to leave the scene. "Come one. I'll walk you to your car. I know you have somewhere else you need to be."

Nodding his head, the young Osborn walked along with his best friend and passed through other groups that held their funerals.

Jaune and Harry tried to talk to get their mind off what was around them, but the sounds of crying from people who lost someone made it hard for the two to start a conversation. Luckily, they made it out of the Graveyard and found Harry's car with the chauffeur already starting the car.

"You take care of yourself, Harry," Jaune said. "I hope your dad wakes up soon."

"You take care of yourself too, Jaune," Harry said, then raised the window before driving away to the hospital to check his comatose dad.

Out of all the people Officer Stacy saved that night, Norman Osborn was the last person before Officer Stacy's death. Just as they found Stacy's body, so too did they find Norman's barely alive form hidden behind the Officer and some rocks. They assumed that before Officer Stacy's death, he made sure to cover Norman's body in hopes that he could remain hidden from Grimm.

It worked, and Norman was considered the lucky man to survive such an ordeal, with the only problem now was when he would wake up.

His friend's car disappeared when turning right, leading to a different street—leaving Jaune all by himself in front of the Graveyard and his thoughts to himself.

'I hope Whitley and the others are having a better time back at their homes than I am.'

Due to the national incident that transpired in Vale, the other three kingdoms have started to run high security not to become another victim like Vale. While Spider-Man and his amazing friends saved Vale, it did not mean they would be able to perform the same miracle twice. Atlas, Mistral, and Vacuo would instead rely on their own than be saved by vigilantes that have unknown motives.

Some news channels go so far and say without these masked assailants, Vale would be abandoned, and more lives would be lost.

Just as people thanked them for saving Vale, others blamed them for making Vale have a weak image compared to the other kingdoms.

'Tchalla was the first to leave as his kingdom needed their prince after seeing the chaos of the Vytal Festival. Whitley had to head back to Atlas to handle some trouble at home, and then Scott and Hope left too. Leaving me to see how everyone is starting to question our motives.'

Jaune walked along the sidewalk, passing by T.V.s and newspapers smearing their image and blaming them for making Vale's military and the Huntsmen look incompetent.

'I need to head to the memorial,' Jaune ignored the slander being spewed by the news, and the vendors who sell newspapers that have disrespectful and far-fetched articles of the attack were staged just to make Spider-Man and his accomplices look good. 'And ignore all this flack. I really thought Whitley's idea was doing good to lift everyone's morale to lesson Grimm's aggression with negative emotions. But it looks like it's starting to backfire.'

Closing his eyes, Jaune focused his power over spiders, using them as an extension to his scenes to hear what was happening in the city as if he was next to them.

'My power is growing again,' Jaune discovered after the deadly ordeal he went through that night. His spider-powers have once again reached a new plateau of strength as he could now not only use spiders to extend his spider-sense but can also use spiders to be his eyes and ears. 'So many people are talking about us being heroes and others saying we're criminals.'

"Hm?" Jaune stopped walking and listened to a specific spider who found a particular scene close by him. Walking to where the Spider was, Jaune sees a couple getting robbed by three thugs, with the one in the middle holding a gun. "No time to change over. But then again, changing over will be a waste on these guys."

Calmly walking to where the robber is, the couple was the first to notice Jaune approaching and was about to scream for help when Jaune motioned his finger to his mouth to keep quiet.

Not yet being noticed by the robbers, Jaune was just an arms reach from the center man with the gun. Ignoring the usual speech from the man holding the gun about 'handing him the money and no one would get hurt,' Jaune raised his right hand and lightly tapped the gunman over his head.

"..."

The couple and the other two robbers who finally noticed Jaune stared at the blonde boy in bewilderment at what he did. Did he think a light tap would work or was it just to piss the gunman off? Their answer shocked them when the man fell over in an unconscious heap.

'Glad I just did a light tap, otherwise if I had put some more power, I would have split the man in two.' Pushing the morbid image out of his head. Jaune laid his eyes on the other two thugs brandishing knives as their weapons. "5 days of no crime and already small crimes like this is sprouting up. Meh, guess a few days was better than none at all."

Not even thinking of trying to surround Jaune, the one who was on the left charged first in an attempt to stab Jaune in the chest—prompting Jaune to take a side step to avoid the knife trust. As the blade harmlessly passed Jaune, the young man grabbed the arm holding the knife and kicked the attacker's legs to knock him off balance. Using the forward momentum from the thug, Jaune effortlessly flipped the man into the air and harshly landed into a trach can.

Seeing his last friend taken out of the fight, the third grabbed the female hostage and placed his knife over her throat.

"Back off, man," He said in a scared tone with his arm that was holding the knife to the woman's throat, shaking it to show Jaune not to get any closer. "We didn't do anything to you!"

"I think the couple you were robbing should be the one who says that." Looking down to see a trash can lid was next to his feet, Jaune kicked the cover in the air, grabbed it, and threw it against the walls.

Jaune's aim landed true as the ricochet of the trash can lid bounced off the walls and struck the back of the robber's head, knocking him out cold. With the cold steel of the knife not near her throat, the lady went to her boyfriend's open arms and cried in relief that they were safe.

"Thank you," said the boyfriend. "I didn't think we would have come out of this alive without your help."

"No need to thank me," He Turned around to have his back face them. "Just your average teen stopping a stickup. If you guys want to thank me, please call the police. I hate to sound rude, but I can't wait here any longer."

Walking away from the couple, Jaune exited the alley he was just in and could see a couple of nearby people who heard the commotion investigate the alleyway.

"Well, with that out of the way. It's about time I make one last stop."

Officer Stacy wasn't the only one taken that night, for someone on Ruby's side of the family was also gone.

"I'm glad to see you here, Jaune." Ruby Rose spoke in a tone that held no warmth nor cheerfulness Jaune was used to hearing from the Huntress in training. "Uncle Qrow and I were just about to leave the memorial too."

"How is he?" Jaune didn't know how to tiptoe about what happened to Qrow, so Jaune thought the direct approach was better. "I know it isn't my concern, and it's ok if you don't want to tell me, but I also wanted to ask how you are too."

"I'm," A frown was on Ruby's face as she tried her best to describe what she was feeling. "Handling it better than my Uncle. Maybe because I didn't really have time to get to know her."

The person Ruby was talking about was Miranda, the mother of Sophia and the old flame of Qrow. When Qrow was busy handling the Grimm invasion, Miranda was discovered dead by people who trampled over her trying to escape from Amity.

Thankfully, Sophia was not with her mother to see the tragic sight, for she was lucky enough to be in one of the shuttles that had enough room for one person. This then falls to the reason for Miranda's death, as she decided to place her only child in the shuttle before she was trampled.

"It's my fault this happened," Ruby said out loud for Jaune to hear. "I should have looked after them for Uncle Qrow. Instead, I let Miranda and Sophia fend for themselves while I focused on fighting the Grimm. I should have prioritized their safety rather than fighting."

"If you didn't fight off the Grimm, more people would have died." Jaune defended Ruby's choices. "You thought it was better to provide security to let civilians escape; you didn't know their fear would resort to pushing and shoving just to save their own lives. At least Sophia is safe."

"You know," Ruby let out a soft chuckle. "That's similar to what Uncle Qrow said to me. When I contacted Qrow that I found Miranda dead but saw no Sophia, he went into overdrive, taking down any Grimm that was in his way. When he found Sophia huddled into one of the shuttles, Qrow stopped his rampage and just went straight to the evacuation center with Sophia in his arms."

'It's not just Grimm Qrow was killing, Ruby.' Jaune can remember that when Beacon was taking account of the staff and students, Ozpin received a call from General Ironwood informing him that Mercury and Emerald were in custody. Thanks to V.I.C. still controlling the Flagship and the school, the A.I. was able to shine some light on the two.

Cinder's servants were held in General Ironwood's prison cells on his ship, with both fake students restrained and receiving medical aid.

Emerald had several large bruises around her face, with both her eyelids swollen from someone repeatedly bashing their fist into them. It wasn't just her face as the doctors also had to put her right arm in a cast and her left leg. The doctor that was treating her said that when treating her leg, it was discovered that the strike that broke the leg was from the back, making the doctor theorize that whoever Emerald was fighting made sure she wouldn't escape.

Mercury was the luckiest of the two, for the only injury he received was losing his legs and the large welt on his head courtesy of Qrow. Not real legs, but mechanical protests legs were severed from Mercury, leaving him defenseless for Qrow to knock the young man out with his scythe.

'Cinder, Emerald, and Mercury are in custody, but I wonder if Ozpin and his friends have any progress in getting any information out of them. Or maybe find out who was the one that fought Emerald.'

"Hey, Jaune," The young blonde stared at Ruby. "I just wanted to let you know that I won't be at Vale for a while."

"Why?" Asked Jaune in concern. 'Is Ozpin sending her team on a mission already?'

"It's not a mission if you think that. The Headmaster and the staff have to handle the rework for the school, and they can't teach the students if most of the classrooms are destroyed. So, he decided to give students three months off of school."

"That's good to hear." It was good to give the students a break after their ordeals. Despite them getting trained to fight monsters, Jaune can see that some of the students would want to be home and away from the city to enjoy their time with friends and family. 'Or better yet, time for them to mourn.'

"I'm glad you guys would have time to relax. How is Yang, by the way?" Being the new Fall Maiden is still new to her, yet Jaune can see that the three months of not worrying about school will give her focus on controlling her unique magical abilities.

"She's doing ok, a bit shaken up, but she'll be ok. Though, Yang needs to stay at Beacon and be watched because she had the most injuries compared to the rest of the team."

As the new Fall Maiden, Ozpin is making sure she stays in the confines of the school. That is the hidden meaning in Ruby's words, for she can't tell the truth to Jaune, who is just a regular civilian.

'I hope whatever training she'll get from Ozpin will be enough.' Despite seeing the power of the Maiden, Jaune still can't wrap his head, knowing that magic exists. 'What's even more bizarre is what Whitley said about Cinder.'

During the transferring process and being the conduit, Whitley said to Jaune that the feeling of the magic course through him was strange and surreal. He explained the feeling was as if he was not himself but another person, Cinder, specifically.

'I hope whatever memories Whitley has of Cinder can gleam into who she is and who she works for.'

"Anyway, I need to head back to Beacon to start packing. Uncle Qrow already left with Sophia, and I don't want him to be left alone."

"Yeah," Jaune nodded his head. "I'm... glad to see you before you leave, Ruby."

None of them moved from their spot even when they said their goodbyes. All they did was look at each other, look away, stand in silence, and let the sounds of other people fill the silence between them.

'Is this the time? Or is it not the right moment?' Asking her would be bad timing when a relative of her just died, and knowing that she would be gone for three months, there is a chance she would forget. 'I have to take a chance. I mean, the only bad thing is if she says no.'

"Ruby," She jumped slightly at how loud Jaune's voice was. "When you get back from your three-month break. I would like it if you and I could get to spend time together?"

Her eyes widened at Jaune's proposal, and for a moment, Jaune thought her silence was her way of saying no.

"I would like that." Was Ruby's answer, went on the tip of her toes, placed a quick kiss on Jaune's cheek, and ran away with a bit of sheer in her steps.

Putting a hand at where Ruby kissed his cheek, Jaune smiled at seeing Ruby act a bit like herself.

'Three months seem way too long now.'

Nightfall decided upon the city, and the sounds of construction and car horns of the cramped street filled the night air. If there was one thing Jaune was thankful for, it is that the city still couldn't get rid of the racket of common people yelling at each other.

"Watch where your going, ya' fool!"

"Piss off! I have the right of way!"

"You dinged my ride! Now you die!"

"I don't have time for this! My husband has two jobs!"

Atop a 12 story apartment complex, Jaune, now garbed in his Spider-Man suit, sat cross-legged and watched the streets below with mild amusement at how people went on with their lives.

"Even with major changes, some things remain the same." He smiled underneath his mask before standing up to begin his patrols again. "It's a night like this that a nice web-slinging clears my mind!"

Tiptoeing against the edge of the roof, Spider-Man tipped to the right ad allowed gravity to make him fall off the building. Air rushed against his body, and as the sight of the street was getting closer and closer, Spider-Man shot a web line that slowed his fall and used the momentum to swing back into the air.

Still close to the street, Spider-Man touched the road and swerved past several passing cars before he swung high enough to be above the buildings. Shotting another web line, Spider-Man glided through the streets with lazy ease, watching every road for any accidents or danger.

"Hm?" Looking down below, he spots a woman screaming at some man robbing her in broad daylight. People nearby just stood there or just recorded the crime, and when someone finally chose to intervene, the robber already had the purse and was making a mad dash away from the offense. "And here I thought tonight would be a quiet one."

Web swinging to where the thief was running, Spider-Man was hot on the robber's tail and would simply trap the guy in webbing and leave the man to the proper authorities.

'Spider-sense!' Reacting upon the danger, Spider-Man's felt the tension of his web line be cut off by something only to shoot a second web line to continue his pursuit. 'Someone is attacking me!'

Again, the unknown assailant fired another projectile cutting the web line Spider-Man was using to stay in the air. Thinking fast, Spider-Man fired another web line low enough to break his fall and land on the cement floor. Still having a clear view of the purse snatcher, Spider-Man can see the thief taking a sharp right into an alleyway between two structures that were halfway through demolishment.

'It's always a place that leads to some warehouse or some other place that has no people around.' Spider-Man lamented at the unoriginality of the purse snatcher. 'First, some guy steals a purse, then someone is stopping me from using my webs, and now this? Yeah, this isn't normal. I'm being led there for a reason.'

Not wanting to play their games, Spider-Man tapped into his mind to call for help from his eight-legged friendlies to scout out the area. It didn't take long for the information of thousands of arachnids to answer Spider-Man's call and inform him of the danger ahead.

The danger they were telling him was that the thief was not alone in that construction site. If Spider-Man entered without a second thought, then he would have had to deal with a dozen men ready to attack him.

What was the point of a surprise attack when he had his spider-sense?

Most of all, so what if the runner had some friends to attack Spider-Man?

I mean, what do they have to harm him? Bats? Pipes? Knives or guns?

The point the spiders are telling Spider-Man was that the dozen people that are ready to attack are not your typical thugs.

'Whoever these guys are there trained and well-armed too. They're dressed in dark colors with no special emblem or tag to identify them. But why all this just for me?' Questioned Spider-Man. 'I know my friends, and I showed a lot of our skills to everyone who was watching. But did it really cause this much trouble to have this much force?'

"Looks like there is one thing to do." Slamming his right fist into his left-hand palm, Spider-Man turned around and walked away. "If this was all staged, then what the heck is the point of setting off the trap? It saves me time to walk away from this and stop actual crime. I don't really see a point in causing any more property damage."

A step was all he could take before Spider-Man, with superhuman reflexes, brought his right hand and, using his index and thumb, stopped an arrow that was aimed for his chest.

"What the?" Spider-Man can see the arrow was not really an arrowhead upon a closer look. "A modified needle? And it's leaking something at the tip? Is he... was he about to drug me?!"

Spider-Man had half a mind to run to where the mystery archer was and give him back the arrow when the sounds of shuffling boots made the hero turn around.

'Looks like they chose to change tactics and went right to attacking!'

Two options came to Spider-Man as the first was to handle the archer who has yet to be found or the other in dealing with a dozen armed soldiers.

'Either handle the archer or handle the soldiers!' Everything around Spider-Man started to slow down, giving the webhead time to process his choices.

'Trying to find the archer would take too long. I would need to focus on having the spiders locate him. Not to mention, I would also have to dodge arrows and also these grunts too!'

Spider-Man's super heightened awareness can see the soldier in the front about to shoot.

'Or I can handle the soldiers now and not worry about them doing any damage to the area. But that would also give time for the archer to escape!'

The gunman's finger was on the trigger.

"Oh well, I don't have a moment to lose!"

A lone gunshot was heard, followed by silence.

The plan was to ascertain Spider-Man's daily actions and create a simulation where Spider-Man must use steps to deescalate said simulation.

Everything was starting to fall into place when our disguised agents played their part as the victim and thief for Spider-Man to chase after.

The first part was going to plan, but the speed at which Spider-Man was gaining on our agent was something that was unexpected.

If Spider-Man caught the fake thief by the time the agents were ready, then the plan would be a bust, which was why they had a hawk in the air on stand-by to slow down the Spider from reaching its target.

However small the setback was, Spider-Man played right into the part to set off the trap waiting for him and also a better observation for the organization to see Spider-Man in action.

Yet it seems the third-party information from Vale's theory forums was accurate about how Spider-Man appeared to have a keen instinct for danger and decided not to enter and walk away.

All the preparations turned to waste as Spider-Man walked away, making this operation even more essential to complete in a personal matter than a professional one.

Thankfully, the Hawk chose to take point and attempted to agitate the Spider into action. As he was doing so, the boss of the secret organization gave the light to strike Spider-Man resulting in a pincer attack.

Attempting to agitate Spider-Man further by shooting at him, all blanks to simulate danger, a single shot was fired before a fist collided with the shooter, instantly knocking him out.

'The easiest situation to handle was the shooters that were attacking from the rear.'

Spider-Man's body disappeared from his view within the millisecond before being punched with a single punch within the millisecond before the gunman could register what happened.

All the other masked soldiers didn't even have time to notice his friend was falling to the ground when Spider-Man appeared to the next soldier and then the next, and the next!

Each armed soldier trained in combat was dealt in a single blow, and as just as all dozen bodies hit the ground.

[Bang!]

A single gunshot rang out into the night at the same time when Spider-Man moved and attacked the armed assailants.

"This is odd," Throughout the ordeal, Spider-Man's danger sense never once picked up from the weapons they held. Picking up one revealed that the bullets were blanks. Spider-Man picked up another rifle and again found it had blanks. "No wonder my spider-sense wasn't tingling. It didn't register the danger to me because there wasn't danger from the beginning."

"However," Snapping the rifle he was holding as if snapping a twig, Spider-Man not only broke all the guns he also tied up the soldiers as not to make them escape when the officers arrived. "Doesn't mean I should let these guys go."

"Now, about that archer guy," Now, having time to concentrate, Spider-Man asked the spiders to find the location of the 13th mystery attacker. "The guy with the arrows is... 1 Km away? From that far away and with just arrows? He must have the eyes of a hawk. Well, guess I'll be asking Mr. Hawkeye some questions."

"That won't be necessary." A deep voice boomed from the darkness, making Spider-Man turnaround.

'That's weird! He was at the construction site with the rest of the grunts?!'

Thanks to his Faunus D.N.A, he can see in the dark and his power to talk to spiders. So to be caught off guard by someone, surprised the masked vigilante as a tall bald, dark-skinned man wearing an eye patch came into view.

"It was longer than anticipated, but you and I have some things to talk about, Spider-Man."

I hope you all liked this chapter, as I plan to use the 4 and 5 volumes to expand more in the Marvel side of RWBY. As we all know, Volumes 4 and 5 were utter filler content that was not needed and therefore not needed to expand upon.

It seems like Vale is having both ups and downs, and worst of all, it seems people are trying to blame the heroes! I'm sure you all would seem it is a weak excuse to blame them, but you forget how irrational some people are, and with how 'convenient' some of the cameras were in the right places to show the heroes do heroic deeds, it would be obvious some would think it was staged.

I didn't want to go straight into the next arc right away, as I felt making a chapter where the fall out of the Vytal festival is needed to settle in the dark reminder that not everyone made it out alive.

Some people like Officer Stacy, for example. I'm sure most hate that he didn't die from the Lizard like in the movies, but I will reveal the true reason for his death in the future.

Regardless, Spider-Man's future premonition did not come true, and the changes have started to show for his interference. I hope you all liked it, and I hope you all like, fav, and leave a comment on this chapter.

Oh yeah! I almost forgot! In the month of February, there will be no chapter. My reason is cause I will be on vacation for the entire month!

If you have questions, please feel free to PM me, and I will answer at the earliest convenience.

Thank you!

[A Merc too late]

Now that Cinder was defeated, the Grimm either ran away or died. The city could now let out a breath of fresh air now that the hold of death was no longer gripping her throat.

"Tonight has shown that Vale will not go out quietly into the night. All thanks to the courageous men and women from both Vale and Atlas who held against the monsters." A reporter talked to the camera. Behind her was the aftermath in Beacon Academy, where most of the carnage happened. "We should also not forget the mystery heroes who have selflessly risked their lives to lessen the death toll further."

Too focused on talking to the camera, the female reporter was startled when Deadpool grabbed the microphone out of nowhere, placed an exposed cancer-riddled arm on the reporter's shoulders, and started to talk.

"Yes, yes, you're very welcome," Said Deadpool, who was sporting multiple holes in his suit and dried blood. "It was a hard fight, and it was the thought of every man a woman who was watching us that made us hard... to beat!"

"Um," She looked at the masked weirdo in fear and confusion. "Sir, this is not for your use." She tried to grab the microphone, only for Deadpool to push her aside to have only him be in the camera shot.

"Yeah," Deadpool inhaled with his nose and put a hand on his hip. "I wouldn't have any other person on my team than these guys," Deadpool turned around and waved at the heroes who were too far even to notice him. "Hey, guys!"

Ant-Man, Wasp, Black Panther, Iron Man, and an unconscious Spider-Man that's getting treated by a medic didn't hear nor notice him.

"Yup," Deadpool looked back at the camera. "They are the best a man like me needs. Except, and this is between you and me," The regenerator looked at the man carrying the camera. "But I think that Ant guy is not needed. I mean, the guy shrinks? I'm sure we could have picked someone else who is better. I mean, I think a guy who can shoot an arrow would have been a better replacement."

"Sir!" The reporter grabbed the microphone and glared at Deadpool, angered by the man's rudeness. "Who are you?!"

"I'm just a concerned citizen who decided to wear his zentai suit to help people." After saying that, Deadpool looked over his shoulder to see the other heroes beginning to leave. "Hey, guys! Already heading to the after-party? Getting some shawarma? I'll be there soon!"

Seeing the Heroes leave without even registering Deadpool's existence, the merc with the mouth turned back to face the camera only to see the news crew now gone.

"That was fast," Looking around, Deadpool can see he was now all by himself. "Well crap," Not seeing any other reason to stay, Deadpool was going for his scroll but remembered he lost it when fighting Grimm, including some parts of his pants. "Guess I'll walk home."

Whistling a jaunty tune, Deadpool walked through the night, his torn pants revealing his butt to all to see without a care in the world, which a concerned civil servant soon picked up Deadpool.

That civil servant was a police officer who arrested Deadpool for public indecency.
