It had been a small while since Bella and Edward left for their honeymoon. I bustled around the cottage Esme renovated for the newlyweds, adding another pile of clothes to the wardrobe, organizing a pillow here and there.

I looked around and let out a sigh of satisfication. It would be perfect. I skipped back to the house, where the rest of the family were waiting. "More clothing? Seriously, Alice. It'll take more than a year for her to just find an outfit!" Emmett teased, ruffling my hair in a way he knew I didn't like. I stuck my bottom lip out in a pout and rolled my eyes.

"Really Emmett, stop picking on your sister!" Esme chided from the living room, and I shot him a smug grin. I ignored him as he went through to the other rooms, instead looking for the future, wanting to see how Edward and Bella were getting on. I flipped past many futures, enjoying the bright colours compared to Forks' rather dreary landscape. As I was about to return to the present, a particular future caught my eye.

I focused on the vision and I saw Bella with blood-red eyes, tensed and crouching protectively in front of something of which was too obscured by Bella for me to see properly. I assumed that she was hunting, as it was a common for a newborn vampire to be in that position.

I shrugged, wondering what exactly she had been hunting when the vision began blurring at the edges and soon the background was a weird hazy smoke, Bella becoming abnormally fuzzy. A jolt of panic ran through me. This had never, never happened before. I tried again and it was the same, if not even less distinct. I dashed upstairs and immediately dialed Edward's number, leaving my slightly surprised family members downstairs. Just as I was beginning to get worried, someone answered the phone, and I relaxed a little.

"Hi, Alice," Bella said, her voice sounding strangely thick, almost as if she were going to cry.

"Bella? Bella, are you okay?" I say, trying to keep the panicked tone out of my voice. It was no use, really.

"Yeah. Um. Is Carlisle there?"

Carlisle? What could Bella possibly want him for? I wondered as I said the words, "He is. What's the problem?"

"I'm not... one hundred percent... sure..." she answered uncertainly.

"Is Edward alright?" I asked, wariness evident in my tone. I quickly turned my face away from the phone. "Carlisle!" I called, and I heard his footsteps approaching. "Why didn't he pick up the phone?" I added.

"I'm not sure." she answered. This conversation was going nowhere.

"Bella, what's going on? I just saw-" I broke off, deciding now wasn't the best time to worry her. I heard Carlisle slip into the room, trying not to disturb us. "Here's Carlisle," I said, and handed the phone to him. I hung around in the background with Jasper, who had just arrived. After a while, I attempted to see Bella's future once more but try as I might, they were just as blurred as the other one. I was aware of a strange dull pounding beginning in my head.

Just as I returned to the present, I heard Bella's voice coming from the phone's speaker. "I think... well, I think that... maybe... I might be..." there was a small pause. "Pregnant."
